Mabel and dipper are sitting in the living room when Wendy comes in, taking a seat next to Mabel, taking a break from work."Hey guys, what's going on?" Wendy questioned. "Nothing much, just chilling." dipper sighed, trying to push the memory of his embarrassing past crush on Wendy. As he flushed red thinking about one of the most embarrassing things of last summer. "Woah, woah, woah, you don't like, have another crush on me do you?" She said nearly snickering under her breath. "Eww, no, what? Why the hell would you think that?" Dipper blurted. "SHUT UUUUUUPPPPPP" Mabel screeched breaking up the conversation going on between the now quiet teens inches away from where her own person lays on a pillow on the carpeted floor. "No, I do not have a crush on you, it's...someone else" He murmured, hoping the girls wouldn't hear, but to his horror they heard.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WHO IS IT, ARE THEY CUTE? ARE THEY NICE? DO I KNOW THEM? ARE Y-" Thankfully Mabel was cut off. "MABEL SHUT IT, Your gonna give him a concussion." She said before getting up and lending dipper a hand up. "Come on, let's talk in private." As the two led into the woods to a log by the cliff. "So? Who is it? i'm very curious to see who managed to steal your heart." Blushing and debating over if he should do this, he finally gave in. "Promise you won't get mad, it might or might not, MAYBE, possibly be, Robbie Valentino..." He said lowering his voice at the last part, hoping she didn't hear. "ROBBIE?!?!?!?! HOW? WHY? YOU LIKE EMO BOYS?" She cheered, somehow making him sink against the tree trunk he was once sitting on.

With his hands ever his red, freckled face, Wendy stopped giggling and fell down by his side. "Okay, im sorry for laughing at you, but it just, shocked me...do you want to go see him?" She offered, trying to make up for the recent mocking. "NO! WE CANT JUST DO THAT, WHAT ARE WE GONNA TELL HIM WHEN WE SHOW UP?!?!?!?!" Dipper exclaimed. "I left my bag at his house anyway, so I do need to go over there to get it back." Wendy reassured him. "Well...okay I guess, just don't say ANYTHING about my...condition..." dipper murmured "Condition? What are you talking about, having a crush is fine, and I'm pretty sure he likes you too, dipper" with hearing the end of this sentence, dipper flushed redder then before. "W-what? Why would you say that? No he doesn't." Dipper said, stuttering and tripping over his own words.

"Yes he does, he's told me." She interrupted. " Really...? Me? Why me?" Dipper hissed. " Because, he knows who he can befriend and maybe, you guys can be together one day." Wendy said before lifting herself up off the hard forest ground, signaling dipper to come woth her. As the two made their way over to robbie house, dipper had felt a knot form in his stomach. Later when they arrived at his house, Wendy knocked on the door, signaling her request for entry.

"Hello Wendy, how have you been?" Mrs.Valentino sang while opening the door. " I've been great, is robbie here?" Wendy replied. " He's up in his room, you kids can go on up there." The funeral director said calmly. As they made their way upstairs, dipper stopped in his tracks, scared he will do something wrong. "Dipper? Why'd you stop?" Wendy questioned him raising an eyebrow. " Wendy, I can't do this, what if I make a fool of myself?" Dipper cried. " You won't, and before you say anything, I won't let you, ya'll are equally awkward towards each other. So let me help you two." She promised him.

As robbie let the two in, forgetting to put a shirt on, causing dipper to turn redder then he already was. Robbie tried to invite him to come hangout. "So, Dipper, if you want to come hang out with us, you can bring Mabel this weekend, and we're going to just, walk around, maybe go to sharp things, and go to a Cafe. " Robbie explained, blushing over his normal pale appearance, shading his face a lighter color compared to dippers, as the two talked and laughed, Wendy saw all of it, smirking and snickering at their obvious shared crush on one another. "Ohhhh~So you DONT need my help, huh dipper~" Wendy teased, causing dipper to grow even more red, as robbie watched them argue, he heard the word 'crush' which made dipper hide his face in his palms.

"Wait, what about a crush?" Robbie asked. "NOTHING! I-its nothing, d-don't worry about it..." dipper blurted, causing robbie to slightly flinch, he wasn't normally this loud from what he knew.

I wanted to draw all of the main characters like 5-10 years older. Headcannons and commission info under the cut :)

-Dipper is a photography major and runs a ghost hunting YouTube channel

-Mabel works at a craft store and sells jewelry and knitting patterns on Etsy

-The Stan’s live in a small cabin built behind the Mystery Shack. They’re not there very often because they still travel a lot

-Gideon sells cars with his dad

-Soos is still Mr. Mystery at the Mystery Shack. Him and Melody have a son that Mabel loves to babysit whenever she’s in town

-McGucket still lives in the former Northwest Manor, but he’s a little less reclusive. His memory has mostly returned, but it’s still a little foggy

-Pacifica works at Greasy’s Diner. She hates being home with her parents and has become extremely rebellious. She takes every opportunity to go on adventures with the twins whenever they’re in town

-Wendy is a jack of all trades and takes small jobs all over Gravity Falls. She still helps out at the Mystery Shack, but also works as a lumberjack, a security guard and works for a moving company.

-Robbie is a high-school dropout and is in a Midwest emo garage band

I think the way I’m gonna reconcile this fic with The Book of Bill is to say that it’s an alternate timeline where instead of sending Bill to the Theraprism, the Axolotl just took his powers away and orchestrated things so he’d end up with Mabel as his cosmically assigned Therapy Human. Like those cheetahs in zoos that get paired up with emotional support puppies so they don’t go insane and die from stress.

HERE THEY ARE! here's what everyone would be in my own take on monster falls!! you can agree or disagree, it's just me having fun with it :]

my general lore for the au itself would be that the town of gravity falls is cursed, and if you stay there long enough, you get turned into a monster. most people have some reason not to leave before it's too late and the curse becomes permanent, other just give up and let it happen

monsters under the cut!

dipper: deertaur (unchanged from popular fan choice)

mabel: unicorn (unchanged from sorta-popular fan choice)

stan: gargoyle (unchanged from popular fan choice)

ford: mothman (chosen for being a cryptid, ford has mentioned moths multiple times, mothman being a "shadowy figure", stan being able to pass himself off as ford when you see them both in the dark

soos: fairy (chosen for the irony- he has canonically killed a fairy! and also that he calls everyone "dude" when fae usually take names, fae are usually tricksters but he winds up being very helpful around the shack)

wendy: ghost (chosen because she's related to archibald corduroy, the northwest mansion ghost, also that she's "non-commital" to her job and constantly vanishes from it, also ALSO that her first big episode was themed around ghosts!)

gideon: haunted doll/puppet (chosen because he has creepy doll vibes, and puppets are often associated with performance- think puppet shows, pinocchio, ventriloquist dummy- haunted dolls and living puppets also have a common theme of something childish getting a mean streak.) (also, bud would be a fox in this au as a reference to honest john)

pacifica: dragon (chosen for the northwests' miserly behavior, hoarding of treasure, and pacifica's fiery tongue)

mcgucket: robot (chosen for mcgucket's affinity for robotics, and also for the idea that once he starts using the memory gun, he starts corrupting/mass erasing his own technology and has to repair himself using junkyard scraps)

robbie: cherub (he dyes his wings black to seem like some sort of dark angel. chosen for his last name, his hoodie, and his parents' chipper demeanor. they're a family of morticians who choose to spread the love by burying couples next to each other)

"billy-bob cipher": a vessel bill specifically crafted to hunt the monsters in gravity falls. he went with the idea of a greasy redneck hunter, because that would be the form people would be least willing to argue with about carrying a bunch of guns and traps around.
