Penny Johnson Jerald Vs. Mag Ruffman
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda
Penny Johnson Jerald - (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, The Larry Sanders Show) - No text propaganda
Mag Ruffman - (Road to Avonlea) - Along with being gorgeous (those luminous brown eyes! that cute little nose!), Mag Ruffman played one of the best rolls on the long-running Road to Avonlea series. Her character Olivia King went from a wispy and submissive "old maid" to an independent and assertive businesswoman. Not only did Mag Ruffman portray that arc believably, she brings some of the show's best moments, dramatic scenes, romantic scenes, and (so often) hilarious scenes. Mag Ruffman is an excellent comedian and brings so much fun and silliness to a character who otherwise might have faded into the background. And while I can't include more recent propaganda, she's still gorgeous.

"tv marrieds" here narrowed down for me by the stipulation that they were committed & together already when the series began rather than falling in love throughout the course of the series
p.s. in the interest of honesty i must profess that my true favorite tv marrieds are alec and janet king from road to avonlea, but i know no one else would vote for them because they're too niche! kingrents, you will always be famous (to me)!

Does anyone else remember the 80′s Ramona tv series? Ramona was played by Sarah Polley, who shortly afterwards was a regular on The Road to Avonlea. Also at one point in the 90′s The Disney Channel was airing both shows.

My mum is watching Murdoch Mysteries in the living room and I swear everyone in this show has been on either Road to Avonlea or Aogg 1985 series and Anne with an E. MM is the only Canadian tv series I’ve watched so this is the only observation (apart from Anne) It’s like Australia’s soap operas Home and Away and Neighbours, guess it’s like Britain’s Doctor Who or Harry Potter, everyone has been on them.

Hello. What version of anne of green gables is on the gifs? I've been wanting to watch a good adaptation. Do you have a favorite adaptation?
It is probably the most definitive adaption of Anne of Green Gables because I grew up watching it on TV on Sunday nights on CBC
Anne of Green Gables (1985), a CBC four-hour television mini series
Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel (1987), a CBC four-hour television mini series and it covers the books: Anne of Avonlea, Anne of the Island, and Anne of Windy Poplars
Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story (2000), a six-hour television mini series sequel to the 1985 television miniseries not based on the novels as it is set in WWI
There was also a TV spin-off called Road to Avonlea (1990–1996) shown on CBC, based upon characters and episodes from several of L.M. Montgomery's books, excluding Anne Shirley. Gilbert Blythe, Marilla Cuthbert, Rachel Lynde and other characters from the Anne books are included, and the series is set within the same continuity as the 1980s miniseries.

This may be a random ask but do you have any Tv show recommendations? (Maybe you can somehow relate this to mbti)
Sure, why not? This will truly be a sign of my Ne randomness, because they cross over every genre, every rating, and are a blend of old and new (some shows are very old), depending on what everyone might like -- but all of them are either on my shelves, regularly streamed at my house, or something I have loved for years.

18. Favorite tv show?
If web series count than Red Vs Blue (Earlier seasons) but if it's actual tv we're talking about... Road to Avonlea or Ann with an E :)
23. describe your dream date.
I don't really have that much of a "dream date" like I don't really mind if we go out or stay in, so long as I feel like we're connecting and spending time with one another. Okay so maybe a little idea of going out to the country side at night to stargaze for a little bit~ <3333
