i cried irl when I got to the wind temple boss and the music built up with the dragon roost island theme, the rito section felt like such a love letter to wind waker fans

honestly very valid, I had such a grin when I started recognizing the tune. I think the ritos are tied with the gerudos in terms of the region I enjoyed the most gameplay-wise, but honestly even the ascent to the remple was incredible, and the bossfight a wonderful spectacle

Tough call between Discovery and Lower Decks, but the Cerritos is a little more chill.

Day 41– Desert rift

The desert flooding’s a bit of a misnomer— it’s more like the gerudo basin refilled with a mysterious source (most likely ground water being pumped up somehow) and is now puddling violently wherever the elevation dips below sea level, creating dangerous wells of quicksand. While sandseals can thrive happily in such watery conditions, other fauna of the desert aren’t as suited to the moisture.

Good thing gerudo town is built on lime rock.

Also, the 3d Rocky model was made by the marvelous Katie Nelson (Billie Bust Up)! We use it all the time in production as a scale reference for set design. Rito rigged it up and had some fun with it.
