An important aspect to my work daydreams the bad dad au is Shen Qingqiu.

Like. he sucks. The au name is not a joke he is objectively a terrible parent. Sure! He ain't the worst!

But uh Shen Yuan is a qijiu baby. A 0% reconciliation qijiu baby. He's got Yue Qingyuan's smile and his eyes, he's got Qi-ge's oversized ears, he's got his dimples. Shen Yuan's also a 0% therapy Shen Qingqiu baby so every part of him that is not Qi-ge, is Xiao Jiu and, well, we all know how Shen Qingqiu feels about himself.

And that's just based on his appearance! Wait until Shen Yuan is old enough to have a personality, one too much like Shen Qingqiu's own and yet still far too soft! Shen Qingqiu can't decide between hiding him away or forcing to act exactly like Shen Qingqiu!

i love writing about shen qingqiu flirting with people but not knowing he does it, and never realizing what effect it has on people or when they flirt back

for instance, he doesn't quite have a grasp on the usage of flowery, poetic speech yet, so he uses it in ways that are more suggestive than he means to. he compliments liu qingge's fighting style but the words he uses are "dancing like a snow lotus in the high mountain gales" and liu qingge turns so red shen qingqiu thinks he has a fever. he also said to wei qingwei that if only he was better a guqing player he would capture the sound of his laughter (wei qingwei has a boisterous laugh and this was meant to be teasing) and wei qingwei lay awake for three nights thinking about that.

he'd try to banter with yue qingyuan in the sort of taunting style of the original sqq, but in doing so accidentally strays into "shixiong should just bring his pillow and move in with how much he visits" "well if shidi insists" territory, and he doesn't realize it.

he pretends to be jealous when liu qingge goes on a mission with someone else, saying things like "shidi is having so much fun with [other peak lord], am i not enough? has my heart been traded for another?" with a fake pout that's supposed to be playful, but that inadvertently causes liu qingge to only accept missions with him or by himself, and of course shen qingqiu keeps digging this hole deeper by then acting flattered when liu qingge invites only him to the hunt.

he also definitely goes a little shakespearean sometimes to be dramatic, but people take that serious too. one time shang qinghua was too busy to read/write with him, so he complained to whoever listened, "the cruelty of his words have ripped my heart asunder, never again will i feel joy from what has now turned to sorrow", and two days later shang qinghua asks him what the hell he said to make half of the peak lords show up angry at his house like scorned lovers

in my mind he has also made a "chain me to the bed to have your way" kind of comment about his without a cure treatment, because mu qingfang added twenty new concoctions to the list that are yucky and shen yuan doesn't like yucky things, but even he was like "hm" about that and their next appointment was a little awkward.

Mxtx was actually just fucking cheating with svsss because once you get far enough into it that you actually Know and Understand Shang Qinghua, if you are a writer, or really any kind of creative, the entire concept behind the story itself will permanently have you by the balls and never let you go.

The actual narrative is beautiful and deep and comedic, but the meta-narrative? Understanding how that world and all the characters came to be and why they interacted with sqh and sqq the way they did and what that said about Shang Qinghua as the creator of all of it? And what MXTX was saying about being a creator through that???

Experiencing it as a writer wasn't even a case of self-recognition through the other or staring into the abyss and realising it was staring back yadda yadda. It was just straight up having your spine ripped out and then the story demands you study every inch of your own vertebrae. And you say thank you please do it again.

SQQ holding his newborn baby to his chest, thinking about getting rid of him. He was only a burden and he didn't need that weight on his shoulders. It would have been better also for the baby... maybe someone would have found him in the woods, someone would have taken care of him, and it would have been a better parent than him. He didn't have the time to take care of that creature.

SQQ left his baby hiding him in the bushes so it wouldn't be dangerous for him. He worried that his cries could get the attention of wild beasts and monsters. But he took his decision and couldn't take back his word. He couldn't take care of a baby, what kind of life could he guarantee to a helpless child?

His heart was pending loudly in his chest, SQQ felt a pain new to him, like if parting from that child was so hard for him. He was a newborn, he wasn't interested in him at all. Yes, that's what he tried to tell himself.

So SQQ abandoned the baby, crying and screaming. His heart was broken but, he never knew he had some kind of... motherly instincts? He didn't know, but that baby's cries were ripping him from the inside. But it was the best choice.

SQQ tried to forget that baby, he didn't wanted to remember the pain of abandoning him. Maybe he was passed and never survived the day he left him. It was sad, but he couldn't change things. His son was gone long time ago.

Or that's what SQQ thought.

The baby was dead.

The same baby he met again one day, on the demons side, looking at him like he was just a filthy, unworthy human. A nobody not even worthy of his attention.

He was his father. And that wonderful, beautiful boy was his A-Yuan. The baby he left without any regret after giving him his name.

The same baby that maybe... only maybe... he missed a little bit too much.

Thinking about cumplane... scumcumplane...?

The peak lords (sy!sqq and sqh) going on a trip or mission. On that journey, they are met with a plant that entrapped people into tripping over vine-like tentacles, and into their mouth. Their head is shapped like a Venus fly trap—it is constantly open flat on the ground unless it was processing its meal—camouflaged by the greenery that surrounds it.

Sqq was able to notice the plant before anyone got tripped into its jaw simply because he smelled cup ramen. (Something that doesn't exist in ancient China or PIDW.) The plant entices people/animals by letting off a scent that people yearn, whether its perfume or food. If it is inhaled a lot, it can even cause hallucinations and/or paralysis.

Sqh just forgot that he even created the plant for some random, forgotten wife that was devoured by said plant, and lost their qi to papapa with lbh. (Fortunately, in some sense, it was a consented papapa as the random, forgotten wife was lured into the plant's jaw because she was hallucinating lbh after smelling "lbh's" scent for way too long.) It wasn't until sqh literally saw sqq getting his leg devoured did it instantaneously come to mind.

Had sqq, been a second late from jumping away, he would've been completely devoured. However, just one leg was enough for the venus trap to quickly devour sqq's qi. He groans in pain, as the hairs on the plant pierced into his leg.

In the same instant, the vine-like tentacles had yanked sqh up into the air, leaving him hanging upside down. It was probably its next meal after it was done with sqq. Sqh cuts off the entangling vines, sliding down the same vines he had cut before he rolls onto the floor, and lands on one knee acting like some super hero. Practically scoffing proudly because heh, wasn't that so cool of him? (Not the right time to be joking, though!) As sqh gets slammed to the side by another vine. Sqq had laughed at sqh because of how ridiculously stupid this whole situation was, and as a coping mechanism.

The fool coughs, like shit. The attack had knocked the wind out of his lungs. He hackles and wheezes, inhaling the plant's scent way more than necessary. He was lying prone on the leaves that had helped camouflaged the venus trap. It is especially coated with honey-like substance that acts like a sticky trap for insects or mices. He's stuck against the leaf. He covers his mouth with the end of his robe sleeves. Not that it's of any help because of the hallucination/paralysis-inducing trap. Suddenly, he remembered another key point of the venus trap.

His head swung up, eyes widened as he watches the very moment sqq had lost consciousness. "Fuck, Cucumber-bro!" He hissed underneath his breath.

"Wake up...!" He shouts, coughing. "Wake up!" He shouts again, with more urgency. His face twisted in anguish and pain as he couldn't move, he could only watch helplessly as the jaws of the venus trap released sqq's leg, and vines wiggled around sqq's limbs. (It was acting like some tentacle hentai...) That's not the key point, the key point is that the vines have this ability—oh. It needn't be elaborated as sqh gets a first class view of what exactly the vines do.

Sqq echoed...? It was like watching a rock plop into water, causing the surface of the water to riddle wavy lines. It was like watching a player lag back and forth. Sqq's soul—or rather sy's soul—had been ripped away from sqq's body. The vines that had previously been entangling sqq's body dropped him, and was now entangling sy's soul.

"Wake up before your soul gets taken away, Shen Qingqiu!" Unable to move a limb, sqh shouts, screams, and cuss to no avail. He's unable to strip the robes away as the he is being held down by vines. This is not the type of shitty porno he wrote! Hell, why did he just now realize that he doesn't know sy's real name aside from Peerless Cucumber?

And just seconds before the venus trap had open its jaws to chomp sy's soul entirely, the vines were cut into multiple pieces. Its jaw completely cut in half. Green robes fluttered, grabbing ahold of the soul before landing on their one good leg.

Sy's soul glitched like some broken TV frizzing with rgb colors. It cackles as if a fuzz had popped. The soul had previously been a cyan green color. It is now that of a normal human. Their hair is no longer long or ebony, its more slightly gray. Their skin blushed red, they huffed a fever. Their long lashes contorted into their scrunched face, they kind of look adorable... Hell, who the hell is that? It doesn't look like sqq at all, which makes sense as the one that had been occupying sqq this whole time wasn't sqq.

But then, who the hell is actually occupying sqq now...? Of course, who else but the original goods? The original sqq has sy in his arms, looking down at him as if he was looking at some bug. At any moment, he looked like he'll drop sy into the hole where the venus trap had once been hiding in. However, that never comes. He merely stares at sy, looking rather displeased.

With the venus trap dead, the honey-like substance that had once entrapped sqh prone to the leaf had lost its effect. Its unknown how it works, really. May hap it was the results of qi-depletion. Whatever, the details of how the plant works are not that important.

Sqh runs to sqq? Sy? With whatever adrenaline helping him. He looks up at sqq and down at sy before he just hugs the both of them. "Thank you. Oh my fucking god. Thank you, thank you for being alive." It's unknown who exactly he's saying that to...

And then, I never got past this idea! Lmao, it simply loops in my brain, never continuing

shen qingqiu does not mean to walk in on his semi-clothed husband grinding down on his equally dishevelled second in command. that wasn’t… like. intentional. he was bored and binghe and mobei jun were doing demon realm politics things and he wondered if they might want company! which clearly!! they didn’t!

he does scream. but its in shock! and then, a second later, when what he’s seeing dawns on him, in anger.

oh. then he’s crying. yep, those are tears. and his legs feel a little weak so… floor time!

binghe and mobei jun make themselves presentable at speed and then binghe is hovering in front of sqq, apologies tumbling from his lips and pulling sqq’s hands away from his face. sqq isn’t really listening.

but when mobei jun tries to sneak out past him sqq grabs that motherfucker by the sleeve and drags him down to his eye level. “don’t you fucking go anywhere.”

mobei jun looks? a little frightened maybe? good. he should be. “consort shen-“

“how the fuck could you do that to shang qinghua.”

binghe’s torrent of apologies pauses. “shizun?”

“mobei jun. tell me you did not just cheat on my best friend.”

mobei jun does not say anything. binghe is still holding sqq’s wrists, so he cannot claw the other man’s eyes out. “let go of me, binghe.”

binghe drops his hands immediately. “shizun-“

shen qingqiu has stopped crying now. he wipes the last of his tears away from his face. “tell me why i shouldn’t rip your dick off?” he asks mobei jun, his tone steely.

binghe breaks in again. “shizun, this husband must take equal blame, i’m sorry. mobei and i were sparring, it got heated - i thought-“

“binghe, shush for a sec. i’m not mad at you.” sqq does not see the look of utter confusion on his husband's face. his attention is on mobei jun. “did you cheat on my best friend?”

“in demon culture-“

sqq lunges.

by the time shen qingqiu has been wrestled off mobei jun, the latter is sporting multiple scratches, a sword wound in his shoulder and the beginnings of a black eye. also, a new respect and admiration for lord luo’s spouse.

shang qinghua has also arrived. he has assured sqq that yes. this was an aspect of demon culture he had actually consented to, he’s fully aware his king sometimes rubs one out with other ppl, no it doesn’t bother him but “luo binghe? my king?? did you have a death wish??”

sqq threatens mbj a few more times for good measure. sqh gets a little misty eyed at how deep his bro’s loyalty goes. he is reassured that sqh’s feelings are not hurt and the only boundary crossed was mbj’s choice of sparring/sex partner. (a discussion that sqh could handle without his bro’s help, seriously, cucumber.)

only then does sqq turn his attention to his husband. who’s immediately throws himself at sqq’s feet. “this luo binghe does not deserve his shizun’s forgiveness, he only asks—“

“this husband is not mad at you. binghe is a growing boy-“ (shang qinghua squawks) “-he has hormonal urges that he cannot always control. this master wishes to be informed ahead of time, in future, if his husband wishes to spend time with another lover. I only ask that I remain the first in his heart and… in his bed.”

there. sqq thinks. i’ve handled the whole harem-creation urge of binghe's very nicely. established my own boundaries but let lbh sow his wild oats, or whatever the phrase is.

sqq has no idea why everyone’s mouths are hanging open.

“that’s it?” asks sqh. “you almost kill my king for maybe being disloyal to me but your husband gets off scott-free?”

“binghe’s binghe. i can’t be mad at him.”

sqh facepalms. binghe preens. only mbj looks confused. “so… lord luo and i may continue…?”

“only if quinghua’s ok with it. but yes. this master allows it.”

mbj nods. “thanking consort shen for his generosity and understanding. will you be taking a bed warmer? traditionally, of course, it would be shang qinghua-“

sqh lets out a squeak. sqq’s eyes widen. “what, like—“ he turns to sqh, who flinches. his sword is tossed aside, pulled from him during his attack on mobei-jun, but he brandishes his fan menacingly. “DID YOU WRITE SWINGING INTO PIDW?”

“ONLY INTO THE DRAFTS, DUDE.” sqh raises his arms above his head for protection but it’s too late. sqq’s upon him.

luo binghe and mobei jun watch their spouses tussle onto the floor and then watch in fascination as sqq proves himself very adept at demon sparring culture after all by straddling sqh and pressing his face roughly into the ground.

“did you just lick my hand?”

“i’ll lick your /face/“

“well since you’re a hack who wrote swinging into the narrative you might as well /kiss/ my face you ridiculous, awful— mmmmffh”

and they were kissing. perfect. mbj shoots lbh a look and lbh nods, gesturing to the door. their husbands seem occupied and he and mbj didn’t exactly get to finish what they were doing earlier. they should remedy that.

odd part of my dream where i was talking to someone about svsss and instead of the actual maigu ridge event, i remembered and described it as lbh straight up cannibalizing sqq??

apparently in dream-svsss, he desired sqq so much he skipped over that whole shabang and just ripped into him with his own teeth as like. an act of deep love or whatever

so now i can't stop thinking about delirious lbh gulping sqq down with their blood intertwined dripping from his mouth so that "shizun could never leave me again ♥️"

OOOH I have a question related to your system possession au!

If the immortal alliance conference happened and the system were to take over again, how exactly would that look for LBH and SY/SQQ? Would SQQ be aware of what was going on? Or would he be oblivious due to the system putting him in a dream like state? Also for LBH would he immediately notice the shift? (Aka are the blue eyes like actually visible or that a trait for the readers/viewers only so we can distinguish between normal!SQQ and possessed!SQQ)

HI FRIENDDDD! <3 The eyes are definitely visible to anyone! Since we started off with the system being visible in the first place through SQQ's eyes, Binghe would definitely notice, but he would probably not see before it's too late and still get pushed down into the abyss. He would come back with a clear objective, aka RIP OUT THAT THING THAT HAS TAKEN OVER MY SHIZUN'S BODY. However, I don't think the system would take over to push Binghe, SQQ has to do it himself. The system wouldn't want to replace the "villain" of the story in the protagonist's eyes.

I feel like people don’t acknowledge that when lbh fell into the endless abyss at 17, and got out at like. 19. Yes he got really bulked up and miraculously had good fashion sense (black and red cannot go wrong) but what if he became like really cringely emo. 17-19 are still impressionable years imo and if he were stuck with nothing but death, carnage and a crusty old demon he would’ve become like those emo scene kids but way cringier. SQQ meets him again and he’s in so many robes of black that they billow like the inflatable in front of car expos, his hair has been straightened (sqq mourns the curls) and is dramatically swept to one side so that it covers his demon mark and one red eye. All his lines seem to have come out of discord chats - he says Shizun like a discord mod would say kitten. SQQ’s hindbrain knows that he should logically be scared but the largest part of his brain (the hating part) is just laughing so hard and ripping LBH’s outfit and entire personality change to shreds.

LBH notices that SQQ seems to have blue screened, leans closer and says “missed me, shizun?” And SQQ can’t take it anymore all he hears is those cringey discord mod voice lines. To all the HHP disciples it seems like SQQ has snapped. He’s criticising everything from LBH’s hair to the way he walks (now its more like a prowl, seriously you have to stop its embarrassing) When SQQ is finally done and stops to take a breath the entire area is silent. LBH is sobbing like a woman scorned and the HHP disciples are just gaping.

SQQ pats LBH on the head and chirps “It’s nice to see you again though!” And just vanishes. Everyone is convinced that they’re in a fever dream, even SQQ (his logic gets a little wonky sometimes). The next time anyone sees LBH it’s been a week and he now looks like how he looks in canon.

post canon SVSSS x minato hokage era naruto crossover where it's scumplane (bcos i love scumplane) heading to the elemental nations on official business for some reason or another (maybe theres a barrier between their lands to prevent leakage of spiritual energy or somethign) SJ hates being alive purely because it means he's in SQH's debt for ripping him out of SQQ's body that Shen Yuan was inhabiting and reviving SJ (because SY decided to fuck off and live his best life as the demon emperor's wife and Cang Qiong NEEDS a peak lord for Qing Jing)

canonically immortals are extremely beautiful (even SQH is described as a 'proper' face iirc) and SJ is like TOP TIER beauty, but also immortals are sometimes described to have faces 'carved from jade' so I imagine when they step into immortality, they no longer have micro expressions and have like... crazy control over their facial muscles - so it kinda freaks out the ninjas, because the only emotions they can see is exactly what scumplane want them to see (SJ - disgust, usually. SQH - cowardice/flattery)

Scumplane also have 0 sense of danger when it comes to shinobi - they're immortals and old (lets say this is an indetermined amount of time after canon wraps up) so things like mundane steel and mortal poisons mean nothing to them when theyre so old. They also don't even bother holding back their tongues because what can these mortals even do to them? Worse comes to worse, they just seal up the worlds again, or just wait out for all these mortals to die (a strategy they use for troublesome emperors or politicians).

They also bring their disciples (Ming Fan specifically because I want him to have a redemption) and after canon had wrapped up the PIDW's story finished, everyone in the world actually bounced back into their rightful places (e.g. MF suddenly got a second puberty, his face improved to be beautiful as it should be and his intelligence returned to the level that the head disciple of the scholarly peak should be).

I want it to be during Minato hokage's short, short tenure - Minato is 23, a war hero and recently hired as ninja president, Konoha just came out of a war and suddenly the daimyo is paying WELL and hiring for the best teams of Konoha to escort these foreigners who are so otherwordly beautiful and so otherworldly RICH, like, the material of the clothes they wear puts the daimyos court to shame, they can pay in pure gold and stones thrumming with power.

SJ's whole thing is like... based on image. So imagine SQH bowing and being like 'ooh thank you for your hospitality' and SJ just grabbing him by the back of his collar and hauling him up like 'wtf dont even bother bowing to this guy. Have some face. he's only got the same rank as you AND he's a fucking child.'

(He's figured that Daimyo = weak emperor-ish, because what kind of a emperor only has control of such a small land AND has others in nearby lands with the same, competing title????. Hokage & Konoha is like the sects, and all the peak lords of CQS are of the same rank as a sect leader. Of course, they all defer to YQY officially, but tbh all the peaks run like their own individual sects, and SJ has never allowed himself to act below YQY in rank)

During Minato's reign, Orochimaru is still a loyal Konoha shinobi.... his interest in immortals makes him soooooo crazy invested in them....

SJ looks at Orochimaru who's questioning him on immortality and is like, 'out of all these people, you are the closest. Your mind is too unstable, however (ironic, coming from SJ) and you still cling too tightly to the material world. Abandon all worldly matters and immortality may be in your grasp, if the heavens deign it so.' acting like he's a good teacher or something, while SQH is in the background, the voice of reason like 'SHIXIONG WTF!!! WE'RE NOTT SUPPOSED TO BE GIVING UP THE SECRET TO IMMORTALITY TO THE MORTALS OF THE FORBIDDEN REALM????'

Maybe SQH does know they're in the naruto world, and knows what naruto is, (hc that the water walking we see YQY do in the donghua was ripped off from naruto, when SQH was still writing PIDW) but it's been like 200+ years! He can't remember shit!!! This is all new information to him!

I've decided to finally compile all my daemon au thoughts into one post instead of just flooding my friends' dms with them! I doubt I'll ever managed to actually write a fic for it because there's no way I can pull together a coherent enough plot so it would just be a series of vaguely connected vignettes, BUT. it's on my brain always.

Shen Qingqiu has a red-crowned crane. She felt Shen Jiu die when Shen Yuan transmigrated, and she was NOT PLEASED, which definitely puts a damper on their relationship at first, though she begrudgingly plays along with Shen Yuan assuming the role of Shen Qingqiu because the alternative is death and she will NOT let this fool's incompetence kill her. She eventually comes around to him, but she generally has Shen Jiu's rather acerbic and distrustful personality

Luo Binghe's daemon is unsettled at the beginning because he's still a kid. He usually chooses smaller, easier to hide forms when they're out in public, only choosing bigger forms when they're alone. Eventually, as he becomes more comfortable with Shen Qingqiu, he starts coming out of his shell more and exploring more forms around him -- a lamb bleating at his heels, a little lion cub tumbling around the Bamboo House's private training grounds. On one notable occasion he took on a crane form as an attempt to get in SQQ's daemon's good graces. She did not appreciate it.

He doesn't settle until the Endless Abyss. In PIDW, Bingge's daemon settled as a chow chow, a dog that looks soft and fluffy but is prone to, uh. aggression issues. In SVSSS, Bingmei's daemon settles as a Tibetan mastiff, an absolute unit of a dog that LOOKS intimidating, but is really just very protective

Shang Qinghua has a yellow-throated marten daemon! This is, notably, not the daemon the original goods had. Since he transmigrated as a baby, the original goods' daemon hadn't settled and was Also a baby, so he didn't end up with a grown adult's fully settled daemon like Shen Yuan did. Martens look very cute and nonthreatening, but they are fierce predators and will take down animals much larger than them! He usually keeps her hidden in his robes, but she wiggled out to screech at him to GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE when things started going wrong at the Immortal Alliance Conference, and her having a different form is what clued SQQ in that SQH might also be a transmigrator

Liu Qingge has a snow leopard and Yue Qingyuan has an Asian black bear. These daemons were chosen because Tibetan mastiffs were kept to protect monks from snow leopards and bears lol

SQQ's daemon is aware of the System, and therefore gets to learn things about SQQ's fate in the original novel. she is Not Pleased.

Clearly the thump thump thump of his tail wagging against the floor at the sight of them is because he's excited to get his revenge. Definitely not because he's excited to see them again

On rare occasions, daemons of powerful cultivators can survive beyond the death of their person, usually only if the daemon is particularly strongwilled. She survived Shen Jiu's death once already. When Plantzun does finally show up and chaos ensues with the corpse hot potato, she confirms any of Binghe's suspicions about Shen Qingqiu's identity by swooping into the fray to peck angrily at the familiar stranger, some life and vitality finally returned to her and she scolds him for taking FIVE YEARS?? SHE NEVER WOULD HAVE AGREED TO THIS IF SHE'D KNOWN IT WOULD TAKE FIVE YEARS, HOW DARE HE. Shen Qingqiu is first so relieved to see her, and then terrified because she immediately broke his cover

After everything settles and the plot concludes and bingqiu get their happy ended, Binghe's daemon becomes SUCH a lapdog. Clingy rescue dog made of velcro type of vibe. They have to get a big enough bed to fit two grown men and a 150 pound dog. He LOVES Shizun headpats. SQQ's daemon does not ever join these cuddle sessions, but she always keeps an eye on them from her nest of pillows across the room because like hell is she ever letting Shen Qingqiu out of her sight again

Shang qinghua is someone I love (if you can’t already tell), but he needs to die.

I need a fanfic where Sqh dies in the most horrific brutal way known to man. Even better if it’s in a way that makes people feel bad, like he, idk, got clawed to peices by a verendre-wolf (but an actual thing) because one of the other peaklords wanted to have its fur, but was stupid enough to not do the research before hand, and know that that specific beast has no merchants selling its fur. And that there’s a reason for that.

Because the beast is extremely hard to kill. There’s almost 0 show of the beast ever BEIBG defeated before in the past.

Does Sqh know that? Of course he does. Does he also know that he’s going to get teared into at the next meeting by whatever rich spoiled peak lord told him to get it? You betchya.

Normally, he would have taken Liu qingge, but he was already out with sqq on a hunt. So, being the author, and the only one to know the beasts weakness, decides “fuck it. I can at least try to kill it” (even better if he’s drunk). And he goes. And almost kills it. Just to get his body ripped to shreds.

The news hits the sect hard. The peak lords don’t know what to do. This shidi of theirs, who was always quivering and anxious, who, despite being among them for years, they never knew anything about, was dead. It’s really bad. Liu qingge feels bad, because, like, even if he never liked or understood (tried to understand) the mousy man, he should have atleast been there, right?

Yue qingyuan would feel really bad. He, as sect leader, should have been looking after his shidis and shimeis, but he never bothered with shang Qinghua. He would be lying if he said he had anything of a comrady with thwt man. Shang qinghua was just so nervous, so quiet, that he never really stood out. Yue qingyuan immediately blames himself, and even reprimands himself. -what is that was xiao-jiu-

Sqq is the worst (sy). It takes him a while to even realise. It only occurs to him once, while eating melon seeds and thinking if giving it to sqh, that he remembers- he can’t. Sqh, the only thing that was a way to his previous life, the one person who he could talk too, the only other transmigrator, who understood him and his emotions too a deeper level then anyone else.. was gone. And was never coming back. Sqq, blames Sqh for being stupid enough to get himself killed at first, but soon that turns into “if only I was there” or “it only I helped”- just “if only”’s all about. Because despite it all, sqq did care about that stupid airplane. Of course he did. How could he not?

Mobei jun takes it the worst. After finding out the news, he destroys most of the palace, before locking himself into his room (id imagine this would be before luo binghe falls into the abyss. Let’s say sqq and sqh knew about each other earlier). This human was crafty yet always nervous. He was quiet but smart and constantly proved he had infinite potential and knowledge. And. To be honest. He.. was important to mobei.

Luo binghe knows that his Shishu died. He didn’t particularly know this shishu well, however he did know that sqh was important to his shizun. That has to mean he was a good person. Lbh often asks himself if shizun would be as sad when he died. He knows it’s bad. That he completely just irrelevates this shishu of his.. but he barely knew the man. (Sqq freezes up around lbh all the time. Why does he look and act like sqh so much? Why?)

Sqh, on the other hand, wonders why he’s alive again, but instead of as sqh, he’s in his old straight and red haired body, and yet, still in his book. The system simply says “user 001 had died. Due yk the amount of points he has accumulated and his repeated use of the system, he has been given a second chance without a story line! User has unlocked “the writing of god” storyline! Well done!” And it disappears.

Xin Mo - Luo Binghe's sword that possessed his mind demanding blood sacrifices via controlling his obsession and was powerful enough to rip through space, time and alternate universes. The culprit behind the fuck to save the world trope in svsss.

Fangxin - the sword Xie Lian was stabbed with during the One Hundred Swords incident and that Bai Wuxiang gave to him to use after. It has an elegant black blade and has arguably been used more against its owner than any other enemies.

E'Ming - Hua Cheng's cursed scimitar forged through sacrificing his right eye during his ascent to Mt. Tonglu's kiln in an attempt to save the lives of people that had accompanied him in the quest. It notedly acts like a puppy towards Xie Lian, cries, demands pets and attention and has a massive praise kink canonically.

Xiu Ya - Shen Qingqiu's prestigious and highly acclaimed sword with an impressive sword flash and that SQQ complains often about not being allowed to fly on due to Airplane's low fantasy worldbuilding.

Xuan Su - Yue Qingyuan's sword tied to his life force after a cultivation incident in his youth. Badass enough to subdue opponents even unsheathed, canonically considered the most impressive cultivation instrument. The only thing that makes seeing three inches of it exciting.

Suibian - Wei Wuxian's sword named by Jiang Fengmian as a joke, it sealed itself the moment it was taken away from its master never to be drawn again (or so everyone thought). It is noted to be powerful because only high level spiritual instruments are able to seal themselves like this. The catalyst to the golden core reveal.

Bichen - Lan Wangji's stunning and powerful sword that can cut through anything including trees that its master cut down due to gay panic after kissing his blindfolded crush. Its claim to fame in the fandom has little to do with its remarkable strength, though.

Okay but you know what i really love about bingqiu?? Big ol spoilers for svsss btw, if you haven't read all the books.

I just love how when the System puts SQQ through original LBH literally ripping him limb from limb as "alternative punishment," SQQ just wants to see his Binghe. Like it would be totally reasonable to project that trauma onto his Binghe, but all he wants is the reminder that HIS Binghe is sweet and caring to him. Fuck idk this isn't expressing the depth of the importance of that action, but the fact that he NEEDS to see Binghe instead of fearing him again is so big

He doesn't even seem to hesitate, it doesn't occur to him to be afraid of Binghe. His first thought and the first person he mentally reaches for takes the same form as the man who just put him through torture, but it doesn't matter because to him they are fundamentally different. Not everyone could make that kind of immediate distinction.
