SPOILERS FOR JUSTIFIED CITY PRIMEVAL

In episode 7, we see Clement showing some rare vulnerability when Sandy tells him that she wants to listen to his music. He got so giddy and excited. Lit up like a Christmas tree. Even though Sandy was using him---getting him to sleep with her so he could fall asleep so she could escape. She betrayed him there. Similarly we see him with the voice crack when he asks Sweety his thoughts of his song. Another betrayal.

He just wants to be appreciated and admired. All he wants is for someone to listen to his music. To tell him he's good. He reveals in episode 8 that his dad used to he a well known musician. He said his genes are in his DNA, that that was who he was, too. He wanted to hold on to that, to be close to him. His mom chased his dad off and that's why I think he killed her, if we are to believe his story.

In the end, Clement is doomed by the narrative. He will never live up to his dreams of sharing his music. He wanted to leave Raylan something, something to remember him by. He wanted to go off, maybe make it big, after his "fun" with Raylan. He wanted to give him his tape. Not even Sandy ever got to listen to it.

The final betrayal.

And that's the saddest thing. He will never be seen. He will never be adored. He's done too many things. Killed too many people. Ruined too many lives. That is what he will be remembered for.

Underneath all that asshole persona, he's just an insecure little boy.

I really liked his messed up character. RIP, my love. I will always remember you ❤

(I think it would be even sadder if they released seven nations army cover by boyd holbrook now because it will be like us hearing what he wanted the people he cared about to hear...)

i dont ship it personally but its fine i have nothing against it. i think its cute that (supposedly. dont ask me for a source but maybe someone else has it) apparently aasim was gonna have embarrassing shit about louis in his journal but it was cut lol. aasim youll always be bi to me in my heart i know its true

i have no reason to split him from ruby tho like theyre fine too so shrugs. the idea of aasim having a crush on louis before clem shows up i can appreciate at least. adds a little Flavor. aasim having an unresolved crush on him i think is a fun addition to their dynamic. definitely see aasim as the sort who would see louis do something goofy or obnoxious and being like "i cant believe i have a crush on you this is so embarrassing for me 😑"
