Much wasted opportunities for Arcane season 2/things I hoped to see as a continuation to Season 1:

1. Jinx talking to Ekko ("why did you give the gemstone to topside? I saw you Ekko", "so you're the Firelight leader, huh Ekko")

2. Jinx talking to Vi about her life while she was in prison for 7 years (what Silco did, about her mental condition instead of having it reduced to "just seeing things" and Vi outright calling her a "psycho". It's also out of Vi's characterisation because Jinx hadn't done that much to validate Vi's immediate change of attitude that her sister is a "monster" -- ep 1 already has some issues with this)

3. Vi talking to Ekko before she ever were to become an enforcer

3.5 Ekko reacting to seeing Vi becoming a bluebelly

4. Ekko rewinding back to save Vander ("if I had come.. maybe none of you would be dead")

5. Mentions of Clagger and Mylo

6. Vi and Jinx reunite again (and I mean properly. With actual sisterly love. Is a proper hug too much to ask for Riot?)

6.5 Vi conveying to Jinx that no matter who she is or what she goes by, "you will always be my Powder!"

7. Vander actually finding out what the sisters & Ekko had been through all these years and get to react. It's like the writers of S2 didn't know how to write meaningful conversations

9. Sevika and Vi converse again after what happened in season 1 and maybe getting to do some fisticuffs along side each other

10. Caitlyn and Jinx competing in a sense with their shooting. Both protecting Vi (instead of Jinx running like as if she's blind and didn't see Vi in that battlefield. As if she wouldn't go to Vi's side)

Seriously Season 2 writers have you actually seen season 1? Doubt that sometimes. Season 1's main focus is on the sisters and at the end of S2 they became sidelined like what?

Imagine if Logan from the 2000s X-Men and Wolverine movies got put in a room like one of those gacha reaction videos and was forced to watch footage of the Deadpool & Wolverine movie (and the aftermath) thinking its him.

He'd be so confused about how the fuck he got there and why he was putting up with this shit and who Deadpool even was. He'd go through all of the stages of grief and right as he accepts that in the future he'll be stuck with an annoying (but reluctantly endearing) mouthy mercenary he finds out that it wasn't even him to begin with.

Like?? Right after he'd warmed up to the idea and realized at least he wouldn't be alone and someone cared about him.

And then he learns that this same fucker who's cuddling another version of him literally danced on his grave and desecrated his corpse. And live with that knowledge.

(Bonus points if the other X-men are there with him and are so confused because why is Logan with this lunatic? And putting up with his bullshit? And why are they emotionally opening up? And holy shit Logan's into men?? And they're so confused and concerned because they never saw him act like this because he comes off as very cagey and distant and macho. And then right as they accept he opens up due to the power of gay love they find out it's just another version. Ouch.)

Imagine knowing your legacy is going to be some asshole digging up your corpse, kidnapping another version of you, having an enemies-to-lovers arc with them, and then living in domestic bliss. Like I'd be pissed if I died an honorable death just so another version of me could have character development and live the life I always wanted.

Poor guy. He'd roll in his grave if he found out that the worst version of him is living out his homosexual dreams in his stead.

Never getting over Riot and Clementine in Hello From The Hallowoods!!! Like,,,

The girl who was made solely to replace someone long enough to be convincing, body falling apart without ageing, simply not made to last.

And her sister, the girl who exists as the original iteration, fighting desperately to retain and recover the life that she's lost.

The way that they both tried so hard to be recognised as seperate, independent individuals. To have their differing experiences reconciled as those of two different people. Intrinsically linked together but different nonetheless. And like, isn't that just sisterhood? Clementine picked a new name so she wouldn't have to be the 'other Riot'. She created a life for herself, outside of the purpose she was crafted for, as a sister rather than a clone. And Riot let her, made space for her to grow into a person that shared aspects of her life --their Mother and their home-- but that wasn't trapped trying to be another version of a Riot.

They tried so, so hard to be their own people. And they succeeded! Yet despite it all these two different people, these sisters, are pushed back into a single form, frankensteined together to save at least one of them. Two dying girls who forged their separate paths, reconverging so that someone can live; the new person sharing half the soul of each of them, both unwilling to let one sacrifice themself to make room for the other. The way they cared about each other too much to have the other erased, and the way that they are prepared to face an unknown result so they don't have to. The fact that this results in neither of them becoming the same person, but rather in the creation of a third person, influenced by the two that they once were but entirely their own. It's so RAHHHHHHH.
