there is at least one instance where someone in scoutpost walked in on riot and olivier kissing and olivier couldn't show anybody their face for 3 days straight. riot doesn't understand what the big deal is (and finds this kind of adorable)

the sky was so cloudy that you could hardly tell whether it was day or night, and even after, olivier had to be pretty much dragged out of their room

“People don’t always mean to leave cats behind,” Olivier said, leaning forward. The road seemed much closer from the front; it practically rushed beneath their feet. “They run away. Or the people don’t know how to take care of them. Or they think they’ll be better off that way.”

“I don’t know,” Riot said, and glanced at Olivier. “I wouldn’t. I’d figure it out.”

Just the way Olivier knows that ppl don't mean to leave them behind it just happens (there are external factors). But Riot goes and says, I will do my best to stay with you.
