So they decide to have a fight to establish whether Tharn was avoiding Phaya or not - which he totally was, he was screening his calls and swimming in the pool instead of talking to Phaya.
Their height difference is so precious. He is looming even without the help of a wall.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The confidence oozing from both of them. Such a turn on.
Tumblr media
Without context who would think they are talking about fighting. They are totally talking about screwing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Haha. Kick his ass indeed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LOOK AT THEM!
Just LOOK. AT. THEM. Foreshadowing the paint scene (assuming it's Phaya and Tharn in it).
Don't you feel sexual tension and attraction between them because this scene was oozing with it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not him whispering and flicking Tharn to end this fight.
Now this is what you call a love fight scene.

Hypothetically what do you think would have happened if the january 6 rioters had gotten to pence or pelosi before they got safe?
At this point, I almost dread answering questions like this anymore because I know the kind of hate mail it will unleash for the next few days, but it's important to keep talking about what happened on January 6, 2021 since so many people are trying to normalize it. That includes many people whose lives were in danger that day, as well as the former President who tried to hold on to power by encouraging his supporters to launch a violent insurrection and is now referring to those who have been brought to justice for attempting a coup as "patriots" and "hostages".
I genuinely believe that there were people in that crowd who would have killed Vice President Pence, Speaker Pelosi, and certain Congressional leaders if they had reached them on January 6th. I think there are people in that crowd who were ready to hold lawmakers hostage. Why else did they have handcuffs and zip ties? To help the Capitol Police maintain order? (Oh yeah...that's right, thanks for reminding me: they violently attacked the police -- some even beat police officers with the "Blue Lives Matter" flags that they brought with them.) Now, I do not think that everybody who was at the Capitol on January 6th -- or even the majority of those who took part in the insurrection -- were willing to go that far. I think a lot of them got swept up in what was happening and went with the flow. That doesn't excuse what they did. The flow that they got swept up in was still a fucking insurrection, and anyone who took part in that deserves to be held accountable. But I think there were certain elements embedded throughout that crowd that were much more organized and prepared to fully execute their plans for a coup after disrupting the certification of the Electoral College votes.
I actually think Vice President Pence was probably in more danger than even Speaker Pelosi or some of the Democratic leaders because Trump was so actively calling him out in the days and hours before the insurrection. I think that's why Pence is so adamant now about not supporting Trump. I mean, think about how disgustingly loyal and subservient Pence was to Trump throughout those four years until basically the first few days of January 2021. But even as other Republican leaders are crumbling and offering their allegiance to Trump again in 2024, Pence is standing by his decision not to endorse or support Trump, and I think that's because he realizes that Trump absolutely almost got him (and his family, who were with him in the Capitol on that day) killed on January 6th. Shit, even Mitch McConnell has folded and endorsed Trump again despite the fact that Trump has spent the last three years not only insulting him but also making racist attacks and questioning McConnell's wife's loyalty to the United States all because Elaine Chao had the audacity to resign from Trump's Cabinet in the wake of the insurrection. Yet Mike Pence -- who spent the better part of four years following Trump around like Paul Heyman follows Roman Reigns...
Tumblr media
...THAT same Mike Pence is steadfastly refusing to endorse Trump because he has personal experience about how real of an existential threat Trump is. Some of those people at the Capitol were very serious about following through on their chants to "Hang Mike Pence", and not only does Pence realize that, but he also knows now that Trump -- who refused to take actions that would have helped clear the Capitol more quickly -- said "he deserves it" when hearing about those chants.
That's what is so scary about the insurrection, its aftermath, and the Trump Republican Party's redefinition of what happened that day. It almost worked. They stormed the United States Capitol and invaded both chambers of Congress. They carried Confederate flags into the United States Capitol -- even the fucking Confederate States of America didn't successfully invade Washington, D.C. and plant their flag in the Capitol. They were willing to hurt and probably kill some of America's elected leaders. And the people who helped plan and instigate the events of January 6th have spent the three-plus years since then learning from their mistakes and figuring out how to be successful next time. And guess what? "Next time" is only a few months away.

Bizarre Prison Procedure
Forced Thorazine to place inmates in a Full Body Plaster Cast
Others who were more violently suicidal were treated to one of the most bizarre procedures in prison history, a plaster body cast from neck to ankles, with holes for defecation and urination. This restraint was developed in 1978 by the penitentiary's medical director as an alternative to drug therapy. As he explained to the team of forensic consultants, he thought it was "probably more humane to physically restrain people" than to make them suffer the affects of some tranquilizers. His premise is voided by the fact that Thorazine had to be forced down a fit-throwing convict's throat to get him into the body cast. Dr. Orner spoke about his use of these casts at a meeting of the American Medical Association's Conference on Health Services in Correctional Facilities in November of 1979. He told his audience that he was using body casts as a method of crisis intervention. "And he did it in almost a bragging tone—he sounded like he thought it was terrific," one listener, an attorney with the New York Legal Aid Society, commented. "I asked him how he got people into it, considering that they would be supposedly violent people in some kind of episode, and he said that if it took six officers, eight officers, it didn't matter how many it took to hold the guy down." But according to an interview with an ex-inmate who was placed in a body cast in the summer of 1979, it was Thorazine, not guards, that subdued him:
I was brought down to the hospital in handcuffs, and thrown off into the strip cell a number of times. Finally they upped and stuffed me off in that oP cast situation… But before they did that, they poured Thorazine down my throat. Held my jaws right there, and just poured it right in my face because I didn't want to take it. Well.. .after I got in that full body cast, I busted all out of that, man, because I was hysterical. Scared. Somebody's trying to kill me…"

In honor of Valentines, the machines at work have spent the week showing our shift how much they truly, deeply, honestly, passionately, and thoroughly...
DESPISE
...every last one of us.
We've had to change machines 3 out of 4 days this week (usually it's 1 or 2 days PER MONTH) and we're not even to Friday. Even after we changed machines, the second machines didn't always work perfectly. (Both yesterday and today, line 4 - the "good child" has been having some issues while still being decent enough to run, which puts it ahead of 2 and 5. 1 and 3 don't have all the extra add-ons for what we're doing, so we can't use them.)
(Okay, technically we could, but it would be a MASSIVE pain in the ass and would mean ferrying product from one line to another mid-production. And NO ONE wants to deal with that shit.)

Inspired by something @blinday said,
Imagine your original story as a fix-it fic. What's the work it was "derived from" like? What elements are you fixing? Are the main characters and plot points largely the same?
Just a fun thought exercise that may help give another layer of depth to your world :)
also definitely rb with what would change or comment or put it in the tags, I'd love to see more takes on it

There's blood on the riot shields
There's a kid lying dead in the street
They don't believe your lies anymore
And in the confusion you start another war
You say they just don't get it
But forget they have to live through it
They take to the streets
They throw off their chains
There's shouts and there's screams and there's smoke in the rain
And there's blood on the riot shields...

“Judge Launches New Attack,” Border Cities Star. October 18, 1932. Page 19. --- Five Freed By Stubbs ---- Strikes Anew at His Accusers as Alleged Rioters Cleared === Police Under Fire --- “Society Forgives Everything But the Truth,” West Jurist Quotes ---- WINNIPEG, Oct. 18. ‘If this be judicial jealousy then I am unrepenting and feel that we need more heretics.’
NO ONE HURT IN THESE words Judge L. St. G. Stubbs, the stormy petrel of the Manitoba bench, hit out at his critics yesterday in giving a judgment acquitting five men charged with, rioting and possessing dangerous weapons.
They were arrested at the disturbances in a box factory strike. In acquitting them Judge Stubbs said he was not prepared to find the accused even technically guilty. Only two of them were of mature age, three were quite young men and one was In his teens.
"The police were on the ground early that morning," His Honor said. "And the court finds, for the purpose of keeping the strikers and sympathizers. and In fact everybody not going Into the factory. 100 yards or more away from the building, and to prevent any attempt to Interfere with those going Into the factory. A few stones were thrown, but no one was hurt.
FOR SELF-DEFENSE "There is no evidence that any of the accused threw stones. They all deny doing so. Two of them admit they carried clubs, but only for the purpose of self-protection, alleging that In a clash with the police on a previous occasion they had been ln-justifiably attacked and beaten by the police.
"The accused made serious allegations of physical ill-treatment at the hands of several of the police during and after the arrest.
“The evidence satisfies me that the police used more physical force and violence than was necessary, or proper, and that some of it was used for purely punitive purposes. One of the epigrams of the late Elbert Hubbart was: ‘Society is very tolerant; it forgives everything but the truth.
MORE EPIGRAMS “By society is meant the few who rule and control the many. The function in society of the latter is mainly to serve and obey the former. Consequently, the pulpit does not preach the full truth for fear of displeasing the pew, 'for he who pays the piper calls the tune’.”
Continuing, the judgment read: "The bench must not speak it (the truth) for fear of offending the law officers of the Crown that may happen to be in power, or the legal hierarchy, or both.
"Particularly at such times as this, fear is the controlling and dominating passion, we are a fear stricken people. It seems hopeless to cope with the situation. People are distracted and panicky with fear. This fear manifest Itself in force and restrictions on all sides.
"Wherefore are we fearful? We are afraid to face the actualities and realities of the situation; afraid of the full truth with Its necessary Implications and inexorable consequences.”
TRY TO FACE FACTS 'Where such fear is, justice cannot be. A court becomes an instrument of power; judges are soldiers putting down rebellions; a so-called trial is a punitive expedition or a ceremonial excuse. So says John MacDonald in his book "Historical Trials”.”
"Personally, in seeing the inner light, as I have seen it, I have tried always to face facts without fear. Attempts have been made, and have succeeded, to punish me for criticisms which I have made of our legal and judicial system. Other such attempts are now being made. Let me say. most emphatically, that if our legal and judicial system is such a frail, fragile and delicately constituted artificial structure, that the few puffs of fresh air of criticism which I have made against It have so seriously affected it that it is impaired and deterred in its functioning. then it is high time a hurricane came along and blew the whole thing away.
“Then we might get a structure better, stronger, tougher and more vigorous than this anachronistic one, and one more adapted to needs of the age In which we live. In the words of Patrick Henry: 'If this be treason, then make the most of it.’
"If, however. it be judicial jealousy, then I am unrepentant and feel that we need more heretics.’
Statement By Guthrie ---- Probe of Judge Stubbs Ordered Only After Complaint, He Says --- Lapointe Query ---- Justice Minister Cites Manitoba Charges Against Jurist --- By Staff Reporter OTTAWA, Oct. 18. Hon. Hugh Guthrie, on the floor of the House of Commons yesterday afternoon, gave a detailed statement regarding the investigation into the actions and words of Judge Stubbs, of the Manitoba surrogate court. The explanation came in reply to a question from Hon. Ernest Lapointe, former minister of justice.
OTHER COMPLAINTS THE investigation, said Mr. Guthrie, had been ordered only after complaints had been received from the attorney-general of Manitoba. Previous complaints, from various sources, had formerly been looked Into and Judge Stubbs had been asked for an explanation.
The judge, however, had declared that the remarks to which exception had been taken were made in his capacity as a surrogate judge. In this capacity, he is a provincial appointee, so he denied the right of the Dominion to question his actions.
Complaints from the attorney-general. however, had stated that the administration of justice in Manitoba was being seriously hindered by Judge Stubbs’ actions. On this plea, the government appointed Mr. Justice Ford, of Alberta, to conduct an enquiry. which is now pending.
Judge Stubbs’ remarks, said Mr. Guthrie, have been severely condemnatory of the actions of the Manitoba superior court.
SHOULD BE ADVISED He was aware, said Mr. Guthrie, that complaints of statements mads by Judge Stubbs had been received for some time back. Judge Stubbs was not only a judge of the county court but also a judge of the Surrogate Court of Manitoba. Complaints in respect to him had been received even before the present government came into power, but no action had been taken in regard to them.
In January. 1931. a complaint was received from the Attorney-General of Manitoba. When it came to hand said Mr. Guthrie, it appeared to him that the Judge should be advised. NO ACTION TAKEN He had advised Judge Stubbs of the the complaint, and in answer Judge Stubbs had written that he had been misrepresented in the Winnipeg newspapers. which did not gather the correct interpretation of what had been said from the bench. No action was taken on this complaint, but subsequently another complaint had been received from all the superior court judges of Manitoba in regard to further remarks of Judge Stubbs.
Again, said Mr. Guthrie. Judge Stubbs was communicated with. His reply on this occasion was that he had been speaking as a judge of the Surrogate Court and as such came only under the jurisdiction of the province and not the Dominion. He thought, said the minister of justice, tnat the language of Judge Stubbs on this occasion was extreme.

Thoughts on bodyguard!james x reader in a hostage situation? I'm thinking like full Olivia pope bag over the head high stakes hostage situation. Would also love it as an established but secret relationship at this point. (obviously reader can stay unharmed but maybe they advertise as if they've hurt her?) and James and the team come in and get her out....
I looooooove some high sakes hurt/comfort. now, please note I've never seen scandal? but I felt like I knew enough about hostage situations to give it a try? idk, hopefully it turned out okay, and thanks for the prompt!!
bodyguard!James Potter x fem!reader who James [et al.] find [1.5k words]
CW: hostage situation, swearing, NCA = UK's version of the FBI, minor injuries, panic
James could vaguely register the sound of NCA members shouting from up ahead as the team cleared the first floor of the abandoned factory they’d tracked you to, but he could only focus on the raised hand of Remus - crouched beside James at a stairwell - who was waiting for their signal to move up to the second floor.
James knew three things: he was probably going to throw up whatever was left in his stomach from the last time he could manage to ingest more than a banana or an energy drink, the NCA team was definitely beginning to regret giving James one of their vests, and you were in this building.
Ultimately, that last fact was the most important.
James also knew this was what Remus had warned him about; the conflict of interest when he finally admitted to himself (and thus to Remus and Sirius) that he definitely fancied you as more than just his principle.
“You’re not going to be able to remain objective, James.” Remus had said to him. Not unkindly, of course, but James didn’t like the insinuation that he was incapable of a) doing his job or b) keeping you safe.
Of course, both of those seem to have been proven true, seeing as you were here; regardless of the fact that Remus insisted this wasn’t his fault, regardless of the fact that his hand off of your care to Peter that night had been fucking seamless - it was James who lost you.
His ire wasn’t due to the fact that he’d lost a principle, nor even that he might lose his job because of it.
No, what made him fucking sick with worry and rage was that you were here, you were scared, you were being harmed.
And that is what kept him from barging past Remus - NCA instructions be damned - and burning the entire fucking building down to look for you.
“Clear!” An agent called as James heard what he knew to be Sirius’ gait rushing towards them.
“Not on the first floor.” Sirius whispered; out of breath from racing through the building in search of you.
“Fuck.” James breathed out as he stood, but Sirius - god fucking love him - pushed up against his back and kept him moving.
“We’ll find her, Jamie.” He promised.
There were two teams of the NCA unit on the second floor by the time James, Remus, and Sirius made it up the stairs, and that’s when they heard it.
“What the FUCK DID YOU DO?!” Someone bellowed, followed by a desperate sound. It was coming from you.
“I didn’t…I didn’t-”
“You fuckin’ call that boy of yours? Huh? He come runnin’?”
“For your sake, he better have our fuckin’ money.” Another voice threatened, and the three of them moved towards the door where the voices were coming from.
James, Remus, and Sirius flattened themselves against the wall next to the door, faces pointed at the NCA agents who were doing the same on the other side. One agent wearing head-to-toe riot gear nodded at their teammate with the battering ram, poised and standing at the ready. At their mark, the team moved.
The NCA announced themselves and paired off with the suspects rather quickly whilst Sirius took off after one who tried to flee, Remus right on his heels.
The abandoned building had high, exposed ceilings which your captors had suspended thick construction grade cord from.
You were tied to the rope by your wrists, both of which were bound together and suspended over your head as you tried to balance on your tiptoes to the best of your abilities. You were clearly exhausted though, and the moments of relief you managed to garner for your shoulders were brief when your body ultimately went slack one way or the other.
James rushed towards you as he surveyed you for any other visible injuries; you were wearing the same clothes he’d dropped you off at your flat in - a pair of jeans and a long sleeved shirt, though your jumper was missing - with the addition of a fucking sack over your head. He was only marginally relieved when couldn’t see any blood on your person.
His hands made contact with your waist first when you flinched violently; body swaying furiously as you swung your legs out at him, shrieking in fear.
“Hey! Hey, hey, hey. It’s okay. You’re okay, angel. It’s me, it’s me, it’s me.” He chanted, his heart working itself further and further up his throat with every panicked puff of air you let out of your lungs. “It’s James. It’s me; you’re okay, love.”
“Jamie?” You keened, and James felt the first tear of relief fall from his eyes.
“Hi angel, hi.” He let out in a whisper; one arm circling around your hips and lifting your weight to relieve your shoulders slightly. “I’m so sorry, baby. I’m so sorry.”
“I want to go home, James. I want to go home.” You cried.
“I know love, I know. We’re gonna get you out of here, okay?” He promised as a NCA member came to assist in getting you down. He stood on a chair and sawed away at the rope with a blade, barely managing to catch your wrists as the rope gave way and the rest of your weight fell into James’ awaiting arms.
“Don’t, don’t!” You shouted, struggling in James’ grasp. “Don’t touch me! Don’t touch me!”
“Y/N-”
But by the time the NCA agent let go of your wrists, you all but went slack in James’ embrace, and James understood your panic.
“Okay, okay.” James placated softly as he placed you gently in the chair in front of him, untying the drawstring at the bottom of your sack and pulling it off of your head.
Your face was stained with tears both old and new; tracks etched into your skin that James wondered if they didn’t scar from the past three days of being alone and utterly terrified. Your eyes were wild and glassy as you assessed the space; watching NCA agents and members from James’ own company milling about the room. James wasn’t sure you’d ever seen the room you were being kept in, depending on when the bag was placed over your head. Your bottom lip was busted and swollen along with some bruising at your jaw, and the eye on the opposite side of your face was also bruised with a small cut to your eyebrow, but all of those injuries appear to be from the first day you’d been kidnapped as you struggled against your captors.
James took a moment to saw away the rope still binding your wrists together - red, raw, and bloody - and though you remained perfectly placid, you were shaking something fierce.
“I want to go home.” You repeated, as you stared unseeingly over James’ shoulder. You sounded so determined that James half expected you to stand and start marching out of the building on your own accord, but you simply sat in the simple wooden chair, eyes darting frantically around the room as you held onto James’ arms quite literally for dear life.
“I’m going to take you home, angel, I promise. But we need to make sure you’re okay first.”
“I’m okay.” You argued quickly, still not looking at James. “I’m okay, I’m okay. I swear it, Jamie. I want to go home.”
“Angel-”
“I don’t want to be here anymore.” You all but sobbed; the force of the breath that escaped you saw you deflating significantly in your chair. “I want to go home.”
“Okay.” James settled on, because he couldn’t help but agree; he didn’t really want to be here anymore, either. He wanted nothing more than to get you home and perhaps never let you leave again. But he couldn’t leave without having you looked at first.
“Oi! Where the fuck are the paramedics?” James called towards Sirius who was just returning from his chase. James made to stand, but you screeched and dug your nails into his arm.
“Don’t James! Please. Please, please, please.” You begged nonsensically; eyes imploring and desperate, though James wondered how well you could actually see out of them with the way they pooled with unshed tears as you looked up at him.
“What? What is it, lovie?” James - perhaps embarrassingly - cooed at you; both of his hands reaching to cup your face, and his heart splintered when you leaned into his touch and closed your eyes, forcing the tears to fall.
“Please don’t leave. Please. Take me with you - take me home.”
“I’m going to take you home, Y/N. I will, okay?” James promised as Sirius made his way over; his heartbreak written all over his face as he spoke into his microphone to check in with the EMS on James’ behalf. “I’ve just found you, angel. I’m not letting you out of my sight again.”
You seemed appeased, though you never did let go of his hand as the paramedics made it to you and completed their assessment.
James’ never let go of yours either, mind you.
He thinks he might never let go of it again.

zombear can we have more infected (or non) ponies from you
Embarrassed to say even tho I promised I'd do a follow-up to my og MLP Infection AU I was like
"What If My Old Cringe Pony Ocs Were A Zombie Survival Team"
Sooo oops this is all I've got rn lol
Tumblr media
Prism Leech is an escaped doctor from the Rainbow Factory - the origin point of the outbreak in this AU. (Rainbow Dash isn't affiliated with the Factory in this one, don't worry)
The Spectra Mutagen was originally synthesized in an attempt by the Factory's medical team to maximize harvested Spectra (the raw pigment in ponies) due to a steady decline in Flight School failures over the years.
This mutagen instead, upon infection, overloads the body with Spectra. This induces fever, hallucinations, madness, then finally death and reanimation.
Infected of most stages are easily spotted by the bright over-saturation of their coats, manes, and eyes; along with rainbow blood and bile.
Tumblr media
Prism's the team leader and healer, although her bedside manner sucks, as she's thoroughly desensitized to tragedy and gore - a result of her Factory upbringing.
She escaped during a riot by infected prisoner test subjects and plucked her own feathers to ensure she could never return to the sky.
