Cutscene Error in the Kingdom Hearts 1 HD ports

This error happens at the very beginning of the game, during the cutscene where Sora, Kairi, and Riku are talking on the shore.

In the original PS2 version of the game, after Kairi says "Ready? Go!", the camera centers on Riku and Sora, and they look at each other for a brief moment before jumping to their feet and racing.

(Note how Kairi is in the process of lowering her arms in the second image.)

In the HD ports however, the camera awkwardly lingers on Kairi's face longer than it's supposed to, and when the camera cuts to Sora and Riku, they are already rising. (You can tell that this is a mistake because Kairi just kinda. Stands there. Mouth open. I don't think the devs ever intended us to see her face like this this close up.)

I think it's a shame that this error exists, because I think this small moment of them looking at each other as if to confirm that they're up for a race, and then simultaneously deciding "yes!" so quickly, added some more character to their friendship and rivalry.

I thought it was really sweet how in kh1 Sora protected Kairi's heart, and Riku protected Kairi's body
