Himeko and Welt have deep discussions about the metaphysical implications of being part of a "game." Welt's past in other dimensions makes him particularly reflective.

As someone who has been a fan of The Odyssey, being inside the Epic: The Musical fandom has been absolutely so amazing. Every Saga that has happened up to the Ithaca Saga was just so,,, great that I can't find words😭😭 Not only that it has been amazing to read other peoples interpretion of the Gods, Myths, Monsters and Heroes alike.

Anyway, I can't get over the Ithaca Saga and how beautiful every song sounds. So have some of my favourite moments in this Saga.

1- The Challenge

In the past Sagas, I have already been too in love with the violin playing whenever Penelope was mentioned etc, not only that I already knew the singer of Penelope had an amazing voice. BUT OH MY LOVE DID THE VOICE CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD./pos

I don't have a significant favourite part in this song because honestly Anna Lea's voice is so captivating that the entire song passes in a very fun way. Just a very beautiful, sorrowful song overall.

2- Hold Them Down

I already knew this song from the snippets released before but hearing it from Ayron's voice was a whole different experience. He was SO good. Again, the whole song was amazing.

"Can't you guys see we're being played? This is how they hold us down while the throne gets colder. Hold us down while we slowly age. Hold us down while the boy gets bolder. Where in the hell is our pride and our rage?"

One of my favourite moments in this song was this probably. While listening, I actually got the feeling that the suitors were fed up from waiting for Penelope to choose a king. I think Ayron did a wonderful job in not only singing a villainous song but also making us feel how entitled the suitors are actually are.

I especially loved the moment where Antinous gets hit with an arrow by Odysseus and him encouraging the others about their plan is cut off. I will admit, I did audibly laughed at that.

3- Odysseus

I literally can't think of words to describe the emotions I was feeling while listening to this song. I think this is my favourite song alongside of "Would You Fall in Love with Me Again".

The electric guitar playing in the start, again the symbol of him becoming a monster and leaving his humanity(the acoustic guitar) MAN I LOVED THIS SONG.

Him aiming for the torches just like Scylla has done was a great add to that too. Bunch of people has already pointed out this before but it can never be too many amiright? But yeah he really is using every trick in his domain just like Hermes told him to and I love it.

"Somewhere in the shadows lurks an agile, deadly foe..."

The image of Odysseus as Batman popped up in my head after these lines and I can't get it out😭(That au would be so amazing though, especially Talia as Penelope and Damian as Telemachus.)

I was already smiling during this whole song and I screamed when he said this. like okay king you go slay I am right behind you

Well It is not a Saga if it doesn't have an "open arms" comeback I guess. Though I did cackle when Odysseus said "No" and killed the guy.

Honestly, deserved. I might be remembering it wrong but I think Eurymachus also asks for forgiveness in The Odyssey? Really glad Odysseus didn't grant it in The Odyssey and in The Epic because from what I remember in The Odyssey, Eurymachus was Antinous' right-hand man and just as bad as him. (Correct me if I am wrong please, It has been a while since the last time I read The Odyssey)

I have no idea who sings Eurymachus in Epic but this whole part was just enough for me to want to learn who it is.

TELEMACHUS' PART! Mico's voice is already beautiful to listen to and it became way more beautiful with the backround music. His own theme music, violin symbolising all that he has learned from his mother. Those sounds just went really well against eachother in my opinion.

"Brothers, we have company, and he's made a grave mistake."

The way this guy sang the sentence, especially "grave mistake" was so satisfying. Absolutely so satisfying I love it.

Also, I heard somewhere that the "Odysseus" repeating in the backround was how the name was pronounced and I love that detail. I loved whenever his name was said in the backround and it is also very interesting how every monsters song is named after them, just like this song.

The screams of the suitors after the whole slaughter is over was a really nice touch, I love it when Jorge adds screams into his songs.

The speech Odysseus gives is also worth to mention.

Mercy? Mercy? My mercy has long since drowned, It died to bring me home. And as long as you're around, my family's fate is left unknown.

You plotted to kill my son, you planned to rape my wife! All of you are going to die!

I also love how it doesn't beat it around the bush about what the suitors were planning to do to Penelope. It should be said as it is, they were planning to rape her which is so vile and awful. Which what made their deaths so satisfying exactly.

Overall, Odysseus was an amazing song. So amazing that I will be going insane about it to my friends for the next 2 months probably.

4- I Can't Help but Wonder

I was crying by the end of this song. Seeing them FINALLY reunite was so 😭😭😭 ALSO THEIR HUG. ☹️☹️☹️/pos

Used to say I'd make the storm clouds cry for you, used to say I'd capture wind and sky for you. Held you in my arms prepared to die for you, oh how times has flown.

Hi, so this should be illegal! All I want to say about this song is how emotional and beautiful it was. And I love how it reminded me of "Dear Theodosia" in Hamilton.

THE WARRIOR OF THE MIND COMEBACK. DEAD AND BURIED. I am not well after that ☹️☹️ Also Odysseus putting everything behind for his family,,, falls to knees with my hands ripping my hair... I am so happy for them.

5- Would You Fall in Love with Me Again?

Finally, we are onto the song that made me shit tears. The OdyPen reunion we all were waiting for just like they were.

THE VIOLIN IN THE START. It is so beautiful just like Penelope, I can't get over it.

Again, Anna Lea's voice make me want to just drop everything I have and listen to it until I start to lose the ability to hear. It is so amazing.

Love how whenever someone uses the word "Waiting" in the song, Its volume and impact raises more than the last one. I especially loved Penelope ending it with "for you." saying that it was him she was waiting for, not love itself because to her, he is her love. I don' know if that made sense but hope I was able to explain it.

The part where Penelope asks Odysseus to carry their wedding bed away from here was such a beautiful moment becasue Anna Lea just sang it very beautifully(as she does as always) It was so emotional and so beautiful.

How could you say this?

I had built that wedding bed with my blood and sweat, carved it into the olive tree where we first met. A symbol of my love everlasting...

Do you realize what you have asked me? The only way to move it is to it cut from its roots!

I just find their Tree Bed very sweet that is all. And a lot of people have pointed out how in The Odyssey, Penelope asked her husband this to prove to herself that this is her husband, while in Epic she asked this to prove to him that he is her husband. I find that change very sweet.

I will fall in love with you over and over again. I don’t care how, where, or when, no matter how long it’s been you're mine.

The emotion in her voice OHHHH I AM NOT SURVIVING THIS SAGA.

Never getting over the fact that Epic The Musical ended with Odysseus and Penelope saying "I love you." to eachother. NEVER.

There are so much more things I want to say about this banger of a Saga. But for now, I will just congratulate them all on their beautiful voices(EVERY single person who sang in this musical has amazing voice, counting other Sagas too. Holy damn, y'all are amazing.)

The fandom has been an AWESOME one to be in too! Everyone is such amazing people and not only that all of you are very talented. Currently, it was 8:24 in the morning. Nearly an hour past the time Billy normally woke up. And almost excatly the time he knocked on Nicole's door each day to tell her breakfast was ready.

Nothing had crashed yet.

Or shattered. Or banged. Or 'thudded.' Or 'thwacked.'

No one had started yelling.

It was quiet.

Too quiet.

Nicole stared at the ceiling and ignored the growing worry in her gut. It was probably nothing, she conceded. He had used a lot of power yesterday, so... the android was probably just taking an easy morning. God knows he deserved it after everything that had been going on.

Maybe he had found a movie to share with Anby.

...yeah, right. The boss of the Cunning Hares' bursts into quiet giggles thinking about it. Those two couldn't share that old thing to save their lives. It's why the schedule was made.

Her alarm clock buzzes. 8:30.

He'd come knock any second now.

Annny second.

…

8:31 blips on to the alarm’s face.

8:32.

8:35.

Nicole can feel her limbs growing cold- despite the relatively comforting warmth of her bed- and it cements in her stomach like gum.

8:44.

She was being ridiculous.

8:50.

Just because the android wasn’t knocking didn’t mean anything was wrong. Billy wasn’t required to do so by any means, it was just a habit he had picked up to make sure they all ate.

…but he did like his routines.

Was he mad at her?

Nicole throws herself out of bed decisively and slams open her door.

“Where’s Billy?”

He's not with Nekomata or Anby, from what the boss can tell from her survey of the room. The two smallest members of the Hares' were cuddled together on the couch. Which was frankly- adorable. In any other situation.

But she had an android to find.

"Billy hasn't come out of his room yet," Nekomata answers, looking somewhat weary of Nicole's warpath. Anby pauses next to her.

"Really? He hasn't?"

"E-eh?"

The cat thiren suddenly looks very uncomfortable as the Demara's pin her with twin stares.

"There was a rerun of a Starlight Knights special playing this morning, it's why I came to bother you," Anby continues, ignoring her former cuddle buddy's squawk of indignance as she moves to stand up.

"Wh- what? I thought you said you wanted to bond!"

"I can want two things."

"Anby!"

Nicole leaves them to their squabbling, striding towards the android's room with deliberate steps. It was far too early for this sort of worry, he better be fine in there-

His door isn't fully closed when she pushes on it. He didn't exactly have a 'room' like the other Hares' did- he didn't exactly need one- but it was sort of mutually agreed that the garage was his domain.

Billy wouldn't leave it open like this if he could help it- not when it could mean unwanted visitors got inside.

Maybe she had a valid reason to be worried...

Or maybe not.

The android is still plugged in and leaning against the wheel of their car, not a scratch on him. His eyes are slanted in as closed as they can get, and his signature red jacket is hung neatly off the ground.

He looked fine.

So-

Why wasn't he awake? Why would he miss an airing of his favorite franchise? Why couldn't the boss hear the familiar whirring and clicking he always gave off?

Something wasn't adding up.

Nicole is pressing her ear to his chest before she can even process she's moved.

The metal is cold as it bites into her cheek, and it's silent.

Anby and Nekomata peek through the doorway, for once taking due care to make their presence loud enough that Nicole can hear them approach. Probably for the best, the boss of the Cunning Hares' felt like a fraying thread about to snap.

There was a burn under her chest, nestled into her ribs like a hot coal she'd been forced into swallowing. Billy didn't move.

Calm down, she scolds herself, There's a perfectly reasonable explanation for this. He's not dead.

She hoped he wasn't dead.

Wordlessly- because she didn't trust herself to speak yet- Nicole begins checking his dormant form over. The other two join in with a silent nods towards each other.

Anby carefully tilts his head from side to side to examine his neck.

“Wires are fine here.”

There's no damage to his auditory processors either, or his faceplate, or any of the joints visible to them. And they resolutely refused to take his pants off. It didn't matter if he didn't have anything down there- maybe he did, they wouldn't know- that felt... too invasive.

Unless absolutely necessary, that was a bridge that would remain uncrossed.

"Oh-! There! His charging thingamajig!" Nekomata suddenly exclaims, somehow having weaseled her way behind Billy, "It's all burnt around the edges!"

"Burnt!?" Nicole all but flattens the thiren against the wheel as she takes a look for herself.

Sure enough, the silver metal around the cable was a charred black that flaked off onto her fingers. Hm.

The boss of the Cunning Hares finagles the cord out of the port, and yelps when Anby grabs the back of her shirt to fling her away. Nekomata lands next to her.

"Anby! What the hell-" the boss is cut off when she sees the white... powder? Paste? Thing that bubbles up out of the opening. It smells foul, whatever it is, and clings to her tongue in a way that makes her sick.

"That's battery acid," Anby explains, jaw tight in a way that was usually reserved for boss battles, "Given the burn marks, it's likely his battery fried itself and exploded. We shouldn't touch it barehanded."

Billy's battery had what.

"Exploded."

Oh, Nicole said that out loud.

"What do you mean exploded," she demands, getting up to her feet.

The smaller Demara throws a pair of latex gloves Nicole's way in lieu of answering. Out of all the Cunning Hares, Anby really was the only one who knew shit about batteries. Well- Billy did too, of course, but..

"It happens when they get too overrun with electricity. Considering that Billy used a lot of power yesterday, only to get accidentally tased by Phaethon right after, there's a 98.96% chance that he overloaded his battery by charging it. If we take care of it before it can corrode any of his wiring, we should be able to minimize the overall damage."

That... sort of made sense. Right. They had an objective now.

Nicole can feel her title as the boss settle over her like a second skin, clarity cutting through the haze of morning and worry like a cut from a blade. She knew what they had to do, now to execute it.

"Ok then," Nicole nods once, overcome with a false sense of confidence, "You're the expert, Anby, what do we need to do?"

For a moment, things don't seem so bleak. Everything was going to be fine, and Billy would be back to his rambunctious big-brother ways in no time.

They end up not having the means to replace the battery- or the skillset to open the android up and remove said battery- so...

"We can't take him to Grace," Nekomata insists, something like a shudder rolling it's way through her spine and tails, "She's so- so weird about him."

"Agreed." Anby nods, crossing her arms sagely, "Grace is out of the question. But we need to get this fixed somehow, and Belobog is the only group close enough that has the skillset we need."

Nicole couldn't help but agree. The last time they had interacted with the eccentric mechanic of Belobog Heavy Industries she had practically glued herself to the android's hip! It didn't matter how many times he had edged away- or downright hid behind one of the girls, she just kept coming on to him!

It didn't help that she also referred to Billy as an it at first; even if she took it in stride when the Hares' had corrected her. Swiftly and firmly corrected her. Anby style.

Billy was not an it.

"What about Phaethon," Nekomata pipes up, her tails moving in swishing waves, "they might know someone!"

"That's right!" Nicole snaps her fingers, and ruffles between the thiren's ears for her good work, "Our dear proxy is sure to have some better information."

In the spirit of fairness, she pats Anby's head too. The smaller Demara had been the one to point out the problem with the android's battery, after all.

Nicole looks to the downed member of their team.

And pats his head.

It felt... wrong, somehow, to leave him out when he was like this.

"Don't worry, Billy," the boss whispers, in some vain hope that it'll reach him, "We'll get you fixed up in no time."

Nicole doesn't realize how badly she'd miss this part of her routine until it was gone.

It'd been three weeks since Billy had gotten repaired.

Three weeks of waiting, three weeks devoid of Starlight Knight references, three weeks of radio silence.

By all accounts, it should be peaceful. But.. in the end, she just missed him. For all her scolding, it had never really been an issue to listen to him ramble. And his optimism always stopped anything from feeling too hopeless on a mission.

Anby had stopped doing the little braid in her hair, the same as she did when that scrapper had taken the android for parts, and even Nicole had stopped putting her own hair in it's little half-up half-down pigtails.

She'd had them even before Billy came barreling into her life, of course, but there had been numerous occasions where she simply felt too tired to want to deal with the hassle of taming her bedhead.

Two black strips of cloth sit innocuously on her nightstand.

"We have to meet up with that contractor today, remember Boss?" Billy had said one morning, as he began to brush through pink frizz- starting at the bottom and slowly worked his way up until it was all neat and shiny.

Nicole hadn't even realized what happened until her hair was already tied up with cute bunny ear bandanas and the android was clipping in her usual barrettes.

That was the moment that had won her over, she thinks privately, as she fiddles with an errant strand.

Her clock buzzes for 8:30.

Time for another quiet day...

knock, knock.

....huh?

The boss of the Cunning Hares throws herself out of bed, praying to whatever higher power that would listen that this wasn't some sort of cruel joke.

She flings the door open, with maybe too much desperation, but she can't really bring herself to care when-

"Oh- morning, Boss!"

"BILLY!"

Metal bites into her cheek as Nicole wraps her arms around his lanky build and squeezes until her arms ache. It hurts for a second and it's real, he's real, and he's warm, and he's loud. There's no stench of acid, or charcoal, just the dim whir and click of machinery under his plating.

"Boss-!?" the android startles, hands hovering uselessly around her back before settling gently on her shoulders, "did you.. have a bad dream?"

Something like that, she thinks.

And really, Nicole is more than willing to write it off that way.

Alright I admit it! Swindle and Hardtop are my favorite in Earthspark >-<!!

Oh and I’ve drew them a bunch for the past few months after I watched the show.

Here’s my overall first drawing, I’ve draw them a Bunch in my sketchbook but this is the first time on digital ^-^!

Now small rant time

I wish so oh very much that there was a reunion scene between those two because Swindle looking for Hardtop was like a recurring side quest that came up. Like nearly all the time Swindle was doing when we saw him (before he got caught) was searching for Hardtop, and you may argue on ep 4 he wasn’t but he was!!! Literally the only reason he was talking to Mo and Thrash was to manipulate them into getting an energon reader to look for Hardtop!! Sure he could have gotten it without manipulating the children but he’s a character that is never honest with anyone even if it would help him more if he was hones.

Am delusional and just wish for more Swindle but I feel like he could have been like an uncle to Thrash to show him more of the fun side to life (the con way) if he’s main focus wasn’t Hardtop at the moment. Maybe if he kinda felt bad about making the kids to get the reader and let them go and tried to find another way could be a way to show he did bound with the kids, just a little. But sadly we can’t even have rogue Swindle and Hardtop scamming people on Earth and just traveling everywhere so they don’t get caught scamming ppl.

Gahhh am a sucker for brother/family relationships T-T I love found family <3 Also how’d y’all think Swindle reaction to seeing his brother again with only one arm??? Swindle is not leaving his side for a lifetime, and ya usually see the, by each other and it’s just so cute. I NEED more of those two T-T like the angst is right there??? Like am new to transformers and have yet to see the original show but I have seen videos talking about swindle and he legit sold the other off but that Swindle is a different Swindle but that’s like the bunch of I heard of the other compaticons, Swindle is like the one who was able to make it out while not being with the others. I may just see gen 1 to get an understanding of the other compaticons to find a way to put them in Earthspark.

Thoughts on JJK chapter 219 (spoiler)

Even though Yorozu's character turned out to be completely different than what I initially thought she would be, in the end she has become a favourite of mine by sheer craziness, personality and ability

Throwing herself into Sukuna's side was a favourite pastime for her apparently and Sukuna didn't know what to do about it past and present

But I have to say that Yorozu seems right, Sukuna does look sad and maybe lonely in these panels, but what does that mean for his character and past

Sukuna straight up walked around like that in the past and participated in human society which makes it unbelievably interesting in how he came to be this way and how the heian era operated as a whole

We got Yorozu's ultimate attack AND domain expansion and while these show what a beast she is as sorcerer, Sukuna just straight up outshines her in everything, cementing him as the King of Curses

Look how experienced and intelligent he is, not only was he able to tame and use Mahoraga, he even used him to such an amazing degree of efficiency together with the other shikigami

Look at him, he partially summoned mahoraga and then he let himself get beat up to charge his ability, then he simply threw the wheel into the shadows 😭

Poor Megumi... finally we get to see his face again and it's him crying. Those white lines around his body look like ropes to bind him.

In this image we have of him there is still light shining on him instead of him being in total darkness. I don't think the "bath" arc is over yet, at least we still need Sukuna's reaction to the (supposed) total subjugation of Megumi.

In other anime this would be the point where rage and anger would give Megumi the needed strength and a power up to help him fight against Sukuna but this is the part where the "bath" shines in how evil of a concept it is together with throwing the rage-trope of shonen anime through a ringer:

Rage and anger are negative emotions and they will create negative energy to pull Megumi deeper into the abyss instead of helping him get out. The only way to escape this evil is with positive emotions and positive energy but Sukuna extinguished the most powerful positive emotion in Megumi's life, his love for his sister, by killing her (apparently)

There are layers to this concept especially when you consider Megumi's name as well but as it stands right now with chapter 219 my theory that Megumi might turn into a vengeful spirit might turn true

It is done!

I've finally completed many month (maybe even over a year) mission of listening to all the zelda OSTs in release order (now it did take ages cuz i would spend forever between each ost and the longer ones would take so long to get through)

I compiled all my favorite tracks into one massive playlist, as well as covers that i like!

Now i am going to go over each ost and say my thoughts on them! Ill also be mentioning one or two tracks from each game that were really notable for me

(I didn't listen to Twilight princess or Spirit tracks because i dont want spoilers for when i play them)

The legend of Zelda:

The ost for this game is 9 mins long, drastic difference to totk with many MANY hours of music

Obviously a classic, the overworld theme. I really like the "game over" theme, its nice but the ringing of the NES boops hurts my ears so much

Adventure of Link:

I really like the final dungeon theme and the battle theme, so good to just jam to

A Link to the past:

Not much to say here, it set a bunch of classics, dark world theme is super good though and the great fairy fountain theme will always be welcome whenever i hear it, either as the great fairy or as the title screen (tbh i prefer it more as the title screen theme) and the title screen theme! When that bursts out i wanna scream, It fills me with so much nostalgia for this series as a whole

Link's awakening:

Now this one is difficult, because this game is my favorite game out of the games i haven't played just plot wise, but for some reason listening to the music was just super tiring for no reason. Now i was listening to the gameboy version but i tried the swith version and it was also tiring and tedious to listen to?? Im going to go through the switch version ost at some point in time.

You can never go wrong with tal tal hights though, and the ballad of the windfish is just 😭

Ocarina of time:

Im afraid to say anything on it because of the fans of it XD i did play a tiny bit of the game but got to Zora's domain as a child and stopped

Obviously it has a great soundtrack, it has a ton more classics like gerudo valley and such. I like Sheik's theme. The fire temple i am aware is controversial and i think that's the reason it makes me so unnerved when i listen to either version of it

My absolute favorite though is Song of storms (or windmill hut). The first time i heard it, it just stuck with me and i am taken in by it, it luls me, its like magic, im enraptured by it. I don't know what it is about this 20 second theme but i can listen to this on repeat for hours, its one of the first things i learned on piano, when i played the game i just stood in the windmil hut for ages. Such a good track...

Majora's mask:

SUCH an earie ost! I have been wanting to play this game forever. The vibes the ost is just perfect for this game. Clock town is obviously good and its cool how it gets more and more frantic as time goes on, you really feel like time is running out. Overall i think the whole soundtrack does amazingly at embodying this idea.

Oracle of Ages and Seasons:

The two tracks are very similar rhat i can't eeally do these two games separately. For some reason i have a bias towards seasons despite not playing either or really knowing the story??

I love that seasons has song of storms (for some reason), skull pirate's escape is good (oos), ambi's place (ooa) noice, Nayru's song is so nice, and i adore the "Zelda awakens" theme that's in both of them

I love how the tracks for these went back to the boopy style, it makes the themes just has a certain feel that i cannot put words to that feels so right. I have the feeling that when i play these games im going to have a great time with them

Wind waker:

Tbh, not for me, the style of the music is just not the kind of thing i like. Doesnt mean it doesnt have really good tracks though!! Cannot go wrong with dragon roost and i do like a track that i cannot remember the name of (but tbh that is just mostly because i really like the beat) and the Great Sea sailing theme does sound so freeing, you can feel the wind in your hair with that track. Its just that the rest of the music style is just not something i dig so much, its just a personal opinion.

Four swords:

I forgot about this game, and could not recall the ost at all. Had to open sime tracks again to listen to and tbh all i can say is... meh? The ost isn't too great... gotta give it credit for it's version of the overworld theme thoug, possibly one of the better different renditions?

Minish cap:

A cute little game, dont remember much of the soundtrack but i have quite a few saved from it so it must count for something, and i really like the "story" theme whenever i hear it and Mt. Crenel is okay

Phantom hourglass:

Again, it has a similar style to wind waker and i didn't really like it. Linebeck's theme though, what a wonderful character! ("Return of the Ocean King" is also decent)

Spirit tracks:

I did not listen to this soundtrack but the ost is just *chefs kiss* from the ones ive heard. The tracks "the sacred duet" and "battle with king Malladus" are the tracks that made me desperately want to play this game and i am still longing to play it because of these two tracks. I love how throughout the Malladus battle theme there is the constant chugging of the train on the track. I have no doupt that the rest of the ost will be this amazing. (The title theme is perfect, you really feel like you are on a racing train) ive since listened to "in the fields" and ooooooh i love ittttt i so cannot wait to play this game!

Skyward sword:

Man you KNOW i can ramble about this forever. My favorite Zelda game! I cannot put into words how much this game's ost makes me feel all of the emotions in the world, i can only list a few tracks that make me feel so much oooough

Ballad of the goddess (obviously), Romance in the air makes me all fluttery and happy, skyloft theme always feels like home, any version of fi's theme puts me in tears, Groose's theme he is such a silly guy, the loftwing flying theme is so nostalgic, Ghirahim's theme is so menacing, all the Lanayru tracks have such a certain zen feel, silent realm theme's have such a frantic echoey empty perfect feel to them which fit so well, and the guardians awaken theme will make me have a heart attack, and the song of the hero has so many feelings ive talked about before, so much that this track alone made me make a painting for the scene.

This game just stepped into another feel of zelda music with the orchestra, and it captures the grandios of this big, timeline setting adventure so amazingly. I cannot get enough of this game. Arguably one of the best Zelda OSTs in my opinion.

A Link between worlds:

Such a good ost in this game. Dunno what i can say apart for it is one of the better ost's in the series for some tracks alone. Ravio's theme, Hilda's theme, Yuga's theme, Lorule overworld, all the milkbar tracks (the fact that there is also ballad of the godess in there makes me so happy as well), so much of the game's ost is so good!

Triforce heroes:

Such a surprisingly great ost for a game that sounds so much like a fever dream. The main theme?!?!? The woodlands?!?!?!?!? I cannot stop listening to these two such a bop, go listen to them!

Breath of the wild:

Botw has no music???? What the heck???

The tracks are so good! Even all the ambient piano flourishes! It fits the atmosphere so well, but you've probably heared people saying all this before so onto some of my favorite tracks

All the champion's themes fit each one so well, main theme cannot not be good, i lobe how Tarrey Town's theme builds up with each character's home town. The divine beast themes are really cool sounding. Parasailing minigame theme is so fun! Guardian theme will also give me a heart attack, the memory get jingle, i miss Kass and his music so much, Korok forest is so :D, HYRULE CASTLE IS SO GOOD OH MY i love the marching feel. Dark. Beast. Ganon. THIS THEME IS CRAZY BRO that piano!??!!?? All the everything going together?!??!!? This fight may be a victory lap and super easy but it sure as hell has some fire music!!!

Tears of the kingdom:

I finally finished this ost today. It reuses a lot from botw, and tbh it is a little dissapointing how none of the village themes changed even if it does feel safe and familiar, and the surface is largely the exact same even though it is where we spend so much of our time.

There are obviously amazing tracks original to this game though. The main theme was so amazing to hear in full after so long of waiting! So was the prologue theme ("poor Hyrule, for Link has found the body" remember that???) All the dungeon themes have me in awe alongside the sage themes. Each one just fills me with so much ough. The dungeons and their themes were definatly a massive step up from the previous game. I ranked all the sage themes before in another post and go deeper into each one. Link humming while cooking is so cute! The big "BWAAA" when diving into the depths feels so cool and creepy. One of my favorite details is that in the forgotten temple, next to the goddess statue you can hear a broken up version of Fi's theme which im so happy for the sksw ref! It also supports my favorite hc that the forgotten temple is the sealed grounds from sksw! (As well as the reward you get fron that quest but we aren't talking abiut that)

In the lead up to the final dive into ganondorf's army, the track reminds me of Skyrim and it really does not fit in Zelda. I feel like they shouldn't have used that track. Ganondorf's fight theme is so cool, how at first it is quiet to just hear you two dueling in an echoey room and them builds up. AND HOW CAN YOU FORGET THE FINAL FALL?!?!?!? Such a PERFECT END its amazing how is blends so smoothly to create the perfect scene, all your emotions building up to the end!!! Such a perfect ending to the game. All the music in the end sequence in the Hyrule castle chasm really does do an amazing job of dialing up and down the tension and emotions at the right moments and building up everything until the very end when the credits start rolling.

Overall the ost is great considering all the new tracks!

He is my first durge and I’m actually so into this whole narrative I’ve crafted for him I might have to write it out. Currently he’s in the gauntlet of shar being very upset at the lack of light but at least Astarion can get more critical hits. He’s trying very hard to resist his urge and so far so good! I’m rooting for him 🥹

The voice I chose for him is surprisingly shy in certain moments and I think that’s so cute?!?!?! He’s just keeping to himself and doing his thing 🥹. He’s currently in sorceries sundries trying to quietly shop for a gift for wyll whom he is absolutely head over heels for.

In the vast plane of all if it, right south of the 2 Dippers, lies a solar system who hasn't had a breathing inhabitant in nearly 800 years.

With their Sun still having a few more billion years left before she takes the galaxy with her, she stands at the center of it all, overviewing her domain as she shines.

3 plants down, once the booming metropolis of the universe, is where this story starts.

One planet, shrouded in garbage and left to rot, with more plastics than water and life combined, lies something never thought possible. An enigma far beyond the restraints of their creator.

Past the burnt ozone layer, holding your breath through the co2, we see a being that defined what ‘life’ was now considered to be.

Making its way through the fallen kingdom, where once stood skyscrapers filled with breathing life, now replaced by towers of rubbish compacted down to squares no bigger than 1 by 1 in feet, spotted the speck on green in a world clouded in red-browns and yellows.

Millions of these cubes tower high above the original dilapidated ones, going high enough where the orange clouds cover the heads of them.

And in this world, we had a boy..

JJK chapter 245 thoughts

I ended up reading the fan translation after the official because I wanted to see how it worded parts and I hate that they use she/her pronouns for uraume for zero reason

Uraume was GORGEOUS this chapter. Loved the Hakari and Uruame parts tbh. Highlight of the chapter and getting to see why Hakari is such an impressive and accomplished sorcerer that it seems Uruame is respecting. Hakari’s approach is a little refreshing too. He’s very considerate to those he cares for and respects, but also doesn’t “refrain” with his powers and limits, like Uruame says. Interesting that they portray this as breaking from humanity and give this almost honorable announcement that they’ll give their all to crushing Hakari. Also Hakari’s just a fun character.

If I had to guess, Uruame will probably die in this fight, but who knows. I like Uruame a lot, but would rather have Hakari live if someone has to go.

It’s cute he was moved by Yuuta!

This part was really funny:

I don’t like that the Judgeman confiscated the tool. It was a gamble Higuruma didn’t consider, which I can understand from his inexperienced perspective sorcery (This is obviously what Sukuna was banking on from those smug excited faces). But if this was Plan B, you would’ve thought Angel or someone else considered the possibility. On top of that, the tool came into existence to help Sukuna not lose his technique momentarily. Literally a get-out-of-jail-free card created through Yorozu.

Still gonna wait to see where this goes. Disappointed there wasn’t more dialogue during the court trial with it being a plan without violence and how cool the setting looks. Technically the domain could be done again, but I have a feeling that was it (that feeling is knowing Gege loves technical shonen fights and this manga finishing in a year). Not sure what Higuruma, Kusakabe, Ino, Yuuji, and Choso can do??? Preparing for Higuruma to die (he’s one of my favorites….😭), but hoping there’s some twist that actually lets them live or affects Sukuna. Kusakabe is protecting Higuruma for now (that panel was also cute), but Sukuna is set on that executioners sword.

Ino worries me after that moment in a past chapter of telling Gojo something about Nanami. Could be that he wanted to join the battle to prove himself as a sorcerer or something to that degree, so not looking too good. Higuruma also has huge death flags, but I’m more confident on Kusakabe and Choso making it (I better be right about Choso). Yuuji and Kusakabe had their maybe possibly body swapping training scene during the time skip, so will that come into play?

Wonder if Maki and any others are with Yuuta or in his area as backup for the Takaba and Kenjaku fight.

Trying to convince myself there’s any chance we’ll get flashbacks to the Heian era in future chapters even though it seems more and more unlikely. Fingers crossed for more of Sukuna’s backstory at least

Ledo and Gruve are Zora from Zora’s Domain right? I ran into both of them while doing Sidon’s quest line, so they’re okay, if that’s who you’re looking for.

Yeah. Ledo was sweeping the domain of sludge alongside Fronk during the quest, while Gruve was… somewhere- I don’t necessarily remember. I think he was standing somewhere safe within the domain. Probably in the water pools.

I have circled the Reservoir. So. Many. Times. I could not find Ledo.

Eventually, I was like- “Oh. Oh no. There were luminous stones in the waterworks last I checked. He went into the whirlpool, didn’t he? I’m gonna go down there, and Gruve is gonna be all, I just saw Ledo run past! And I’m gonna have to save him from that scary Talos, aren’t I?”

So I went into the whirlpool.

Gruve was no longer there.

The Talos, which knocks me down to a quarter heart in one hit? I killed through sheer determination.

Ledo and Gruve did not appear. They were not in the area. My bois are missing. They are no longer safe. I am concerned. 😭

“[Beginning] is different from [War].” Yuki felt the will to protect and raise magical girls in the right direction in [Beginning]’s domain. She felt her gentle heart. Thump Thumplp Yuki’s heart pounded as it felt this. “I’m not alone anymore.” The magical girl who wanted to lead everyone from this despair to the path of hope was no longer just Yuki. The unfamiliar girl who came from the changed past was correctly guiding the world that should have fallen into despair. Though they had never met even once, she was helping Yuki’s new beginning with kinder hands than anyone else.

The tournament taking place over 3 days proceeded quickly with a 10-minute time limit per match, and the last day was scheduled to conclude with the 2-star girls’ tournament. The number of bloomed 1-star participants was 64, including Yuki. The number of bloomed 2-star participants was 7. Originally, one person would advance with a bye in the 2-star tournament, but… “I must catch [Beginning]’s eye.” Yuki shyly smiled while thinking of a plan to turn the tournament upside down. “…Come watch me, magical girl of [Beginning].” Whoosh Even if all that remained in her hand was just a tiny spark. Her flame was a flame that had returned alive from the end of the world.

“I came back… but something was strange…” While she was busy with the joy of meeting her father, she was startled to see bloomed magical girls walking on the streets. Of course, for Yuki, bloomed magical girls had only appeared after the war in 2012. “All the magical girls in Japan were cruel, trapped in [War]’s world of struggle…” They had no hesitation in killing each other. They killed ordinary people without blinking an eye for a single meal. Stealing and being stolen from had become everyday life… “…The magical girl of [Beginning].” A girl appeared and shouted to the adults. That magical girls bloom with dreams and should not be tainted by adults’ greed. And so, accumulating numerous achievements, she led magical girls to hope. Japan had early on become [Beginning]’s domain, not [War]’s.

Even though it was a past she didn’t know, sincerity could be felt in her voice talking about dreams and hope on the broadcast. Even though she was just a shabby born 1-star magical girl, she wanted to meet her and help create a better future. She wanted to explain the achievements of her companions who had disappeared under the flame of regression and tell her about the direction we should go. She wanted to hold her hand and tell her how great what she had accomplished was. “I wonder if she’ll believe me if I ramble about having a future that only I know.” A faint hope that she could become a companion who could face that nightmarish future together, along with the fear of an ‘unknown past’. “A place… where it’s okay… for me to exist…” Thinking it would be nice if the magical girl of [Beginning] was as kind as she appeared in the debutante broadcast, Yuki gradually fell asleep.

The wedding dates was so original and fun! Ty for blessing my dash. It was really great. If I may ask, what about the Genshin guys with the Island adventure? How would they like the domains? The Fatui run ins? Do they know Alice? Beach vibes, even?

So we know the domains are based on the character’s most vulnerable moments right

ayato and itto are both pretty well adjusted and have both come to terms with their past so they see their struggles as something they’re proud of having overcome. i’m going to throw diluc in this category as well based on his recent event; when you finish his domain he takes it in an “it is what it is” kind of way

I really want ayato’s domain to mirror kazuha’s. personally I think it’s very poetic, two noble houses that fell from grace together; and while one further descends, the other rises to the top

I think thoma still has some unresolved trauma he tries to hide like his survivor’s guilt or how he never found his dad so he’d be hesitant

making xiao go through his most vulnerable moments right after perilous trail??? plssss give this man a break 😭

kaeya would love going into other people’s domains but his own? it’s a naur from him. his domain would be the prettiest though bc omg khaenri’ah reveal?

childe would like play it off like it’s no big deal “aw are you worried about me” and then it’s the most traumatic thing you’ve ever witnessed (just abyss things <3)

on a more serious note though any of the archon mirages would be insane. so much loss. zhongli’s mellowed out quite a bit so he’d be hesitant to show others all the violence and loss he’s endured

also the way each mirage is super personal but you have to go through it with a group of people LOL zero boundaries, we’re jumping right to lvl 10 friendship

pls diluc is a known menace to the fatui. this man is banned from snezhnaya. how would he react? it’s on sight, time for retri-

jk he can be convinced to help but very begrudgingly. everyone else would be a little more willing but kaeya, ayato, zhongli, and xiao I see being very wary especially upon finding out the truth of the device. childe secretly loves their family dynamic but won’t show it because he has a harbinger reputation to uphold

I think all the mondstadt men canonically know alice. I’m pretty sure everyone else also at least knows of her since she’s a famous adventurer and wrote teyvat travel guide. zhongli has definitely had a few run-ins

Some personal thoughts below for myself(tl;dr)

People often often talked about how great the first GAA was, so naturally i had my expectations up. And playing through this version overall it was great!

I loved how each quest gave us more insight for the 4 characters, and the quest challenges afterwards were really fun to play, Kazuha and Xinyan’s domains were really fun to explore, and Fischl/Mona’s character explorations are a crime to be locked behind this event quest only(they should be made into story quests instead!). And the music! Oh gosh the music, it’s so chill and calm, also incredibly silly when you engage in sea battle with the hilichurls to the gentle marimba tunes.

What I didn’t expect was how frustrating some parts were, mostly in regards to Fischl and Mona’s mirage domains. Fischl’s domain was infuriating due to the amount of time you spend just commuting from point A to B, making the story narration incredibly awkward due to the long pauses in between. The end scene where Fischl reconciled with herself barely made up for it(It was really great and I loved that part).

Mona’s domain has the commute issue as well, everything is so damn far from each other! The puzzles were on the more complex side, though once you figure it out it kiiiiinda makes sense; except for some of the ones on the island, like wtf are the logic behind that??? There mostly weren’t any indicator as to what you should be doing, or clues that you did something right. Had to look up solutions online to solve some of them.

The Miitoboru quest by far was the WORST; basically a long winded sailing simulator where nothing interesting happens in between, all the while you have to hear the damn pirate accent(They were inazuman wtf did they have a pirate accent???? Unless past Inazuma had pirate accents otherwise IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE; pirate ei tho hmmmmm), also you can’t skip the text cutscene even tho it clearly says click to continue at the bottom, so you’re stuck looking at the text for what feels like decades; AND YOU HAD TO CLIMB THAT ONE LONG ASS MOUNTAIN JUST TO FIND NOTHING AND HEAD BACK DOWN.

Also how come Miitoboru gets a quest and the squirrel doesn’t?? What’s the point of the squirrel then????

One quest however, took me by surprise, I had the bottom of the barrel expectation for it, yet it shot me to the moon: the Fischl Stage Play quest.

When I first started it I was dreading that it would be the same as the damn secret raven quests around the island, where you had to replay the ENTIRE GOTDAMN SCENE EVERY TIME if you mess up. But NO, it was actually ENJOYABLE, usually I’d be mashing the keyboard trying to make the text go faster but THIS TIME I ACTUALLY PARK FISCHL ON THE FRONT ROW SEATS FOR EACH PLAY. The raven VAs really did a stellar job on their performance, the DRAMA, the SUSPENSE, something about the whole deal just made my brain go yippee. I also LOVE that during 2 instances you get to put a random passerby and a heckler on stage and they react to it.

Overall this was a great event despite it’s shortcomings, I’ll miss it dearly...
