I don’t know if you get this feeling, but sometimes I don’t know if we are living in a too big bubble… On the last 9-1-1 poll over the favourite S8 episode, taking out the people that vote other episodes besides 805 and 806 and assuming the former are bucktommies and the later are buddies, we are talking of a 40/60 environment, and I think that’s great for a ship that has existed for 8 months and has maybe 40 min (or less) of screen time. But then I see all the articles and interviews (the most recents of ScreenRant and the Wrap) and is it all about buddie, about getting closer, about that “damn” expression of Buck at the end.

And I don’t know, I might be biased because I move in the bucktommy tag here, but I see so much to talk about Buck romance, and reaction and from where that moves on (because the midseason leaves a Buck that still wants to call Tommy, that almost “relapses”) and what he could have gain from a relationship in which he was just so comfortable (I would love that they tackle his queer journey, but I know that is too much to ask) and no one wants to write or talk about it, no one besides our community sees what a great thing they made and how they can continue it, how this can be Buck satisfactory endgame?

Listen, I get your feelings 100%. But also - the examples you put are from sites that home journalists that are either extremely pro buddie or cater to that audience.

In all truth, I would argue the contrary: it is not us the ones to live in a bubble, but them. Because we are well aware of what the show is, and what we get. And, if anything, we were pleasantly surprised by how much support BuckTommy and Tommy had, which was really highlighted post 806.

Buddies, on the other hand? They live inside this bubble, this echo chamber of sorts, where anything they say gets parroted back, telling each other exactlyyyy without much thought behind their words. And they're backed up by the journalists that merely want engagement and (bizarrely enough, and to a certain point) OS sometimes. Outside of their bubble, however? The GA does not want buddie (hell, not even RG wants it, he's made that abundantly clear by now), and they don't even care for it much. Yet buddies live inside their bubble and refuse to acknowledge that.

I am confident when I say our side is rather realistic. We know (more or less) the support the shipping has, we know that bringing Tommy back would be the thing that would make the most sense and be most satisfactory narrative-wise, but we are also aware that nothing is set in stone, and that we should keep our hopes the lowest we can get them.

I don't know. I truly don't see how we are the ones living in a bubble here.

you and the people reading your blog need to understand something: the people shipping bt are mostly destiel, i don’t know how may of you have seen spn or ship destiel but this knowledge is important

when we got tommy kissing buck most people compared this to destiel, buck to dean and his bisexuality and the now diehard bt stans started comparing misha and lfjr saying how their characters even if supposed to be on the show just for a few episodes they were so loved by the fans that the screewriters decided to keep them and this really happened with misha/castiel but this character was added in a show where there wasn’t major ship (the only one was wincest but even you can understand how impossible was even the thought of canonizing a romantic relationship between two brothers) but mostly castiel was a brand new character while tommy has a past and not a very beautiful one so two different scenarios but that’s not all because they started comparing the parasocial relationship misha has with his fans with the one lfjr has with his stans

i don’t know how many of you were or are on twt since the start but pictures this:

we have lou this brand new actor for our little silly weewoo show he’s kissing ostark, thanks to tommy we have bi buck, people are celebrating, people want to see how this will play out but we still ship buddie we are just enjoying it (bree/kinarscoffee made a post saying how she was happy that tommy could help with buddie canon) then lfjr started interact with them: at the beginning he was shy and not so bold he was the one spilling the beans about tommy/eddie, he was the one telling how bt was a stepping stone for buddie and how tommy was aware that something was happening between buck and eddie (mind you at the time his cameos where 50$)

then he started seeing his fanbase grow, he started responding to hc, telling them if they liked his idea about the chin grab, talking about the sexy times between tommy and buck, he started telling sob stories about tommy, started sending videos on their discord about bt so they finally found the same thing they had with misha

they started contacting con organization to ask them to have lou because they wanted the m&g, the photo, cosplaying him, proposal in front of him dressed like buck and tommy (im not criticizing who wants to go to the con, i went to a spn one years ago but it’s not my thing so not a critique), being recognized by him (if you watch the video they post on tt you will see to how many con they went to see misha) and lfjr is the only one who could give them this kind of relationship because ostark, rg, aisha aren’t interested in cons especially ostark

then they started buying the famous LOUniform, a shirt he had in one of his pic, a limited edition just 500 pieces; they went to pride, to disneyword (making photo with disney characters and tagging lou)

they started interacting with his sister and she started interacting with them

they went so far to defend and protect him, they made video defending him, saying that he was just a baby (30yo) sharing funny memes and how everyone did it, they called queer ppl homophobe, called black and poc racist, they stomped on their beliefs for him

they got blocked by people, they got a bad reputation, they are hated and always treated like stupid, they aren’t acknowledged by ostark and now lfjr stopped being friends with them

so they payed a lot of money for him, they bought his shirt, they did so many things for him and now he is ignoring them so they are shocked how dare him act like this when they made him? when they did all of this for him? other are just chanting “his mental health his poverty mental health” like a justification for the fact that he isn’t playing with them anymore

Hello, love, when I tell you I read the word destiel and almost poured myself actual tea to sip while reading this, I'm not kidding, that first paragraph legit made me go "oh they're trying to emulate Misha" and then strapped in for a ride.

The thing is, I kinda get the Misha comparison, I was never in that deep in the supernatural fandom, but I did watch the show as it was airing until season 7 and adjacently followed for the rest of it, so the whole being brought in on a season after a strike, a shiny new love interest, someone else to try to interact with. But like you said, supernatural didn't have a established ship because you can't really make incest a thing, so Cas was a a breath of fresh air. And like, anything is more compelling than shipping literal incest. Cas brought in something the show didn't have. Tommy was never gonna be that, because we have Eddie and you can't really replace Eddie with Tommy. What happened with Misha is a once in a lifetime situation, you can't recreate that.

Also, I can't believe the cameos were 50$ when this madness started. But I do remember the initial interactions with him, the chin grab and stuff like. But damn, this was a ride from start to finish. But I feel like something clicked in my brain, they make sense to me now. I'm still speechless but...

Why does kadabra have markings, but not abra or alakazam?

Meta answer: Gen 1 designs weren't very consistent or set in stone, so sometimes Kadabra would have markings, sometimes it wouldn't, sometimes Alakazam would have faint markings, etc. It probably just shook out that Kadabra happened to be the only one who kept them.

In-universe answer: Kadabra use their markings to store energy for evolution. Alakzam doesn't evolve so it wouldn't have any, and Abra is probably a less intense evo to begin with.

RG Kar Medical College has been ransacked, the entire emergency department destroyed. This happened at 12:30 a.m. on 15 August, right after the Reclaim the Night marches started around the city. The perpetrators are obviously TMC-backed goons. I've been seeing message screenshots saying that the seminar room in which Abhaya was found has been burnt, but I cannot verify if those are true.

I have a lot of words to say, and none of them are kind nor civilized. My mutuals from other states, if you suddenly see me inactive for days, know that the internet was cut off. Please keep talking about this case. About her.

How about an au where afo is included in the list of quirks ofa carries? and it's the first one izuku unlocks

1- Izuku watches the Zero Pointer get closer and needs to do something to help, so he pulls deep inside and reaches for the power All Might gave him- and then zips off as his legs hurt, but don't blow off. He crashes into Uraraka as Iida falls to the street for the sudden stop and grips his own legs. Izuku tugs Uraraka out of the rubble and Zero G comes too, and the combined quirks he rockets them out just before the robot comes down.

2- it's hard for Iida to walk, but he stumbles back down the road to the other two as Izuku panics because These Are Not His Quirk and This Wasn't Supposed To Happen and also he really wants to puke right now. Uraraka panics because he's panicking, and slaps his face to get him to focus on her. She gets him to take deeper breaths, them shows him how to release the quirk. Once that's done, he says he isn't sure how to give it back but he'll figure it out- and it's a bit similar to releasing her quirk, back into her. She sways, dizzy, but the color comes back into her cheeks and the pads return to her fingers. Then Izuku turns to Iida.

3- Iida takes a step back, then schools his face. He keeps going, then holds out his hand. Izuku takes it, and it's a little harder to release this quirk, but eventually he pushes it back to Iida's legs. The kids all sit in silence as RG checks them over. Once they're cleared, Uraraka stands up and thanks Izuku. After she walks away, Iida nods. "It was.... Good of you to save her, instead of running away." Then he leaves too. Izuku still sits there, until All Might shows up to lead him away. He hadn't even known his mentor had been watching, but it's clear now he was.

4- Uraraka goes to talk to Present Mic. Tenya calls Tensei. And on the beach, All Might talks to Izuku for hours, about the history of One For All- and it's twin quirk. He hands a stone to Izuku, and tells him to try to activate his quirk again. There's no one to steal from, here. Izuku launches the rock into the ocean, and snaps his arm bones in the process. One quick trip to RG later and it's clear she has no idea what happened to the quirk. Nedzu doesn't know either, but is absolutely delighted.

5- Three acceptance letters and four weeks later, Uraraka leans over to Iida when they walk to the quirk assessment test. She's quiet, and he stops to listen. "Hey, this is maybe a weird question... But does your quirk feel stronger, ever since Midoriya gave it back?"

"Actually, yes..."

Favorite Character: while i started watching the show for angela bassett, i can't deny that buck is at the top of the list. i rotate the rest of them a lot but i do love hen a whole bunch and want more of her lore.

Character You Relate to the Most: i'm honestly so much like buck it's not even funny. especially the default setting of fixing things and others because he can't fix himself. and being a walking encyclopedia. and bisexual.

Favorite Episode: i know it's a bit cliché, but jinx is very special to me. i think the pacing is great and it showcases the family bond the mains have with each other. i think the humour is some of the best we've seen in the show and it's perfectly balanced in a way it has struggled to keep since. it also aired when i was going through some shit and i laughed out loud for the first time in days when i watched it. honourable mentions go to chimney begins because it's the best begins episode, tsunami eps, fight or flight, treasure hunt, survivors and may day. off the top of my head.

Hottest Take: don't know if this is a hot take or not but to me ryan guzman is not that great an actor. (why does he sigh after almost every line delivery. why.) however, i love eddie as a character and RG does deserve credit for bringing him to life, especially after i think the role was made for him? that said, i would expect more or less being handed a role would make you want to prove your worth as an actor more. he does great when playing eddie as angry or sarcastic or caught in action but in emotional scenes i feel like he's either doing too much or not enough and i end up cringing. a lot. *cough* speech to shannon in s7 *cough*. still love eddie though and i think he's been done a huge disservice after s5.

Favorite Lone Star Character: i've tried to watch but i just can't get into it. from the bits and pieces i have seen i think i like tommy (vega, that is) the most out of all of them, but idk.

Favorite Ship: to the surprise of absolutely no one, bucktommy. it's hilarious when i look back at my approach towards them mid-season 7 and i was like ”i think tommy is a great stepping stone for buck to realise his feelings for eddie!! he's here for a good time not for a long time!!” and then by the last episode they were sinking their teeth in and i can't see myself letting go of them any time soon. the shenanigans (to put it lightly) over the summer made me completely double down too because the amount of abuse i witnessed people be subjected to completely ruined any enjoyment of buddie i might have still had, and i didn't even see or get the worst of it. so bucktommy it is.

Most Underrated Character: Chimney! I think he's gotten the short end of the stick (especially in recent seasons) when it comes to his relationships with others and explorations of his inner life. There's a lot of depth to his character, but I feel like he's often relegated to comic relief. Let Kenny Choi use those acting chops! ← this is bekah's response and i fully agree so it's staying

Most Underrated Ship: Definitely HenRen, both in fandom and in the show. We still know so little about Karen and about what she and Hen like to do together that doesn't revolve around their children. ← yeah i'm stealing this answer too.

One Thing You’d Love to See: for the show to go back to its roots and follow through on its storylines properly. i'm genuinely so bored of the opening disasters being done for shock value rather than exploring the impact it may have on the characters, main or not, and us being told one thing but shown something comepletely different. i also want to see better writing overall but given circumstances hinted at by the crew i only hold tim minear and ryan murphy responsible for it becoming so all over the place. i personally don't ever want to see josh (or any other character for that matter) be used as a mouthpiece for murphy to kiss his own ass ever again. when i catch you ryan murphy when i catch you. you shall pay for your crimes. all this to say: i want to see the plots play out properly, i want the scenes to breathe and for them to stop coyping movies because they can't come up with anything original. and for gods sake tim PLAN AHEAD.

Rg drabble #1: After Oscar brings Ruby home for the first time

Oscar wished Ruby farewell with his aunt as Ruby set off for home. He stood there long after his aunt went back to the house, watching as Ruby’s form fades into the distance, dark cloak and all. When he joined his aunt in the farmhouse later, she told him to wait by the fireplace mantle as she disappeared further into the house. He sat on the couch wondering what this was about and just as his eyes started to drift closed she re-emerged. There’s a box in her hands, ornate with silvery detailing of pine trees and ferns. She sat down next to him and placed the box gingerly in his hands. It’s smooth, and cold but something about it had his stomach fluttering. “Your father gave this to my sister, right when he was about your age. They would want you to have it,” Aunt em opened the clasps to it. The inside was lined with a red velvety material, making a soft place for the item residing inside. His breath catched a little when he first saw it, glinting in the fireplace’s light. A simple silver chain with a ring attached. The ring held a green stone, with flecks of red, orange and gold adorning it and the metal part of the ring was carved like the bark of a tree. He stared at it, enraptured as he ran his hands over the textured ring. Aunt Em picked it up, gently placing the ring and chain in his palm, and closed his other hand around it. “I trust you know what to do with it,” She said, a knowing glint in her eyes and a mischievous smile on her face. She left him there, on the couch when she retired to bed for the night, sitting with a silly smile on his face. His cheeks were warm and his ears were red with the thoughts of his future. His future with her. Years later, Ruby Rose, the hero of Remnant, could always be seen with something silver glinting around her neck.

“Did you study for the test?”

“Which one?”

“Mhmhm?!”

“Wrecker,” Echo sighed, walking up behind his cousins with Fives, “don’t try to talk with your mouth full, you’ll choke.”

Fives started choking on the granola bar he’d be shoveling into his mouth, and Echo let out an even more exhausted sigh and patted his back.

“Well if it isn’t the Domino twins,” Crosshair said.

“Hi Echo! Fives!” Omega cheered, poking around from the front of the group.

“We have a test?!” Wrecker yelled, finally finishing his sandwich. Tech nodded, while Hunter just hung his head and sighed. “Hm, hey Echo, wanna take my test for me?”

“We look nothing alike.”

“A rarity in this family,” Crosshair mumbled before unwinding his earbuds and putting them in.

“We look everything alike.”

“Echo is built like a twig and you’re built like a barn,” Fives laughed. 

“No one in our family looks close enough to you to take your test, you should have studied like the rest of us.”

“Your tests sound hard.”

Everyone nodded.

“Hey kid, you coming to the rugby game tonight? Could really use a cheerleader.”

“If I don’t have too much homework.”

“Aww, why do you have to be so responsible?”

“Is Hevy playing today?” Hunter asked Echo and Fives.

“The doctor said he can, but it’s up to your coach in the end,” Fives shrugged.

Echo muttered, “I wouldn’t.”

As they approached the crosswalk, Omega grabbed on to Tech’s sleeve as the group crossed before bouncing away with a wave.

Tipoca secondary school, Tipoca middle school, Coruscant secondary school, and republic general secondary school were the four schools that the Fett family attended. Even though most of them lived in the same area, the domino twins and self proclaimed “bad batch” lived right across from Wolfee and his brothers, they were spread out across three high schools.

After the fiasco that was middle school, they’d tried to break themselves up as much as possible. The sentiment “If I get mistaken for _____ one more time!”, was held by most of the cousins.

“Good luck on your test,” Fives waved, heading off towards his locker.

“So, Hunter says Omega gets out at 3:30, if we leave at 3:20 we can pick her up, grab dinner and get RG before-”

“Ah!”

“What?!” Cody jumped, looking up from his phone at Rex.

“I- uh… You know what, it’s nothing, sorry. Here’s your caf.”

Cody took it suspiciously and slowly brought it up, carefully watching Rex, waiting for him to give something away. His brother kept a stone cold face, adding milk to his own caf and taking a sip.

The second the drink touched his tongue he spit it back out.

“You put salt in my caf!”

Rex burst out laughing, nearly tipping over his mug.

“I swear it was an accident.”

“Is that what you were yelling about?”

“It’s not my fault the Dominos don’t label anything! Who even keeps their salt in a container?”

“Aww, it’s so cute,” Gregor cooed, staring through the window of the pet shop.

“We’re not stopping to play with the dogs Gregor, come on.”

“That one reminds me of you.”

“I’m going to leave you.”

“Oh come on, why not get another member for your pack? You can call him Wolffe jr.!”

Wolffe ignored him and started back down the sidewalk, shifting his grip on his grocery bags. Gregor stared at the dogs a little longer before realizing Wolffe was serious and jogged after him.

“What’s with all the food anyways?”

“Rex and Cody are back from school.”

“Wait, I thought they were taking a trip with some of their friends?”

“Jesse.”

Cody and Rex listened intently as Omega went on about her day and the research assignment she was working on for her space unit. They headed around back to the field where the Republic General secondary school was playing against Tipoca secondary school.

“This is gonna be great,” Droidbait laughed. “Common Hevy, kick their butts. Prove that we aren’t a bunch of Dominos!”

He was standing around with his brothers, hyping Hevy up.

“If we beat the Dominos again,” Tech started, “ we might need to pick another nickname.”

“Why, they’re still gonna fall over?” Wrecker laughed.

“Yes, but at this point it’s less them falling over now and more-”

“Us absolutely crushing them.”

“Come on, remember this isn’t just about us. There’s other people on both teams, if you want a one on one game we can just go to a park.”

“Where’s the fun in that?”

As the two sides bickered and hyped eachother up, Wolffe and the rest of his pack took a seat in the stands with Gregor, waving over Cody and Rex.

Twenty minutes to the game, Echo, Fives, and Droidbait joined them to watch the warm up.

When the whistle blew to start the game, Omega cheered the loudest, a great feat considering she was going against Fives. In an effort to drown her out, all in good fun of course, Droidbait and Gregor joined in while Echo covered his ears and scooted slightly away. 

Taking it as a challenge, Rex joined Omega to cheer for her brothers. Sure it was loud, and they’d probably be asked to quiet down soon, but that was just how the Fett family rolled.
