i hate the smrpg remake because like. Ok

when i was either. 12 or 13 i had an au. and it was that the main members of the smithy gang (yarid, bow, mack, axems) actually had family and parents outside of the gang. like the ones you fight (not the machine mades dur) weren't made by smithy they were just recruited on. and like i named these family members and they were established ocs and everything. i think how it went was that smithy ended up stealing them from their families and then taking them away Idk it was angsty whatever anyways. when i was 14, i scrapped all the ideas because they were so cringey and grrr i hated them so much. And oh my goodness bro it wasn't canon at all ooobviously they were all made by smithy and have no lives before that what was i on lol?

And then i pretty much forgot about it

I want so bad to try a ttrpg system that isn't D&D!! A lot of my friends are so dnd pilled that they like adding mechanics to the game to allow it to fit a wider variety of genres, which is cool and I'm always down! But I've been recently earning the rules for other ttrpg systems and I want to play them sooo bad but idk if my gaming groups are willing to learn a whole new set of rules

A podcast I listen to played Vampire the Masquarade! The TMA ttrpg is using the Cypher system! My friend loaned me his book for Cyberpunk Red! Call of Cthulu! Kids on Bikes! Look at all these fun options!

FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT! I have ranted and raved about minecraft and my gripes with it for years and every time I always come back to the same conclusion: "minecraft is a perfect sandbox to make your own fun and I can't have fun without being given a goal." It is entirely a personal problem, that's the point! I still have a lot of other smaller nagging complaints and I can still have fun with minecraft when I'm in the mood for a self driven game, but I have the most fun when I am given a goal and vanilla minecraft can't do that. It's asking for fish from a tree. It just can't deliver on that.

A lot of "Minecraft is BAD" videos are really annoying because, like, there's actually a lot of things that could use fixing, yes, but you're just trying to turn this into 3D Terraria. I think a lot of people who make these videos forget that most Minecraft players are intrinsically motivated, rather than extrinsically. It's a sandbox game at heart, the vanilla experience does not need highly-controlled level progression.

and  i  bring  you  a  somehow  small  summary  to  let  you  know  what  we’ve  changed,  my  most  beloveds !

of  course,  and  as  you  can  notice  at  first  sight,  our  NAME,  color  palette,  and  graphics  images  have  changed,  and  all  our  links  and  TAGS  have  been  modified  to  fit  this.  we  also  applied  the  name  change  to  our  most  wanted  +  promo  sideblogs.  please,  let  us  know  if  anything  makes  it  hard  for  you  to  see / read  or  if  there  are  any  broken  links.

we  made  a  few  modifications  to  our  PLOT  which  are  that  the  outbreak  didn’t  happen  in  september  of  2013  but  in  march  of  2011  instead,  the  location  is  still  boulder  and  the  setting  went from the university of eastern colorado  to  the  ( very  real,  existent )  university  of  colorado,  although  we’re  not  using  images  of  said  alma  mater,  you  can  always  look  it  up  to  find  inspiration  if  needed.

we  added  NEW  LORE !!!  and  i  think  this  is  our  biggest  change,  it  includes  information  on  the  virus  and  the  infected  we’re  going  with  from  now  on.

some  of  our  locations  such  as  the  bar,  the  library,  and  the  hospital  have  been  renamed.

since  the  sanctuary  is located  in  the  university  of  colorado  now,  we’re  not  bighorns  anymore,  but  buffalos,  and  our  mascot  is  called  chip !  this  required  small  changes  here  and  there  ( our  applications,  locations’  descriptions,  follow  posts ... )  you  may  or  may  not  notice.  if  you  don’t,  don’t  worry,  though,  it  is  not  truly  relevant !

and  ...  i  think  that’d  be  all !  as  we  said,  the  changes  are  little  and  don’t  affect  the  current  events  the  group’s  going  through,  not  really,  and  despite  you  knowing  the  new  lore  is  important  for  context,  our  plot  doesn’t  rely  heavily  on  it,  but  on  the  threats  the  sanctuary  keeps  facing  ( even  though  that  can  always  change,  hehe ) . we  hope  you  cherish  these  changes  as  much  as  we  do,  and  as  usual,  any  doubts,  suggestions,  corrections,  constructive  criticism,  and  questions  are  very,  very  appreciated  —  please,  let  us  know  what  you  think !!!
