I get it. The game isn't for everyone. You are allowed to find it repetitive, or not like the dialogue, or whatever and not enjoy it!

But there are a lot of reviews on there that just. Blatantly mischaracterize siffrin. Or miss all of the major themes. Or suggest that all of the clues in act 3 and 4 are left unanswered. Like im so sorry

Im sorry but being aromantic and/or asexual is such a beautiful, complex identity that opens up almost endless possibilities and interpretations about sex and romance and relationships and struggles within those,

and i will always absolutely LOATHE how both the outside and the aro/ace community itself have boiled these identities down to just "doesnt have sex" and "doesnt date"

I have so much sonic fanart but it's all for my dumbfuck not dumbfuck AU where it's just sonic characters if they were born in my original worldbuilding I have 500 pages of notes that I've been working on since I was 16, so I wouldn't be able to share any of it without having to explain allat. If anyone's interested in seeing sketches out of context tho MAYBE I can share it. lol.

Ok well maybe I can kinda explain the worldbuilding i have a bit. the basic gist of the worldbuilding its like a post-apocalyptic world set in a giant abyss where an apocalypse resulted from a bio-engineered soul virus was let loose so it killed like 70% of the population. oh and also there are several cities that are micro dystopias or whatever because due to the apocalypse a ton of political structures caved and got taken over by dictators. im hoping to make an rpg game set in this world sometime, tho ive been hyperfixating on sonic as of recent so i decided i might as well use my hyperfixation for actual writing inspo which is how i ended up with this au and uh. yeah. ive been having a lot of fun with it tho :]

i will say. a lot of you allo people tend to only care that aroaceness is a spectrum when it pertains to shipping. i honestly agree that you can ship aro characters but you guys only ever bring up that not all aro people are romance repulsed when you can tie it into your favourite ship. maybe i’d find your statement that ‘oh this aro character can totally be shipped lol dont worry about it’ more genuine if you talked about aroace people outside of a shipping context

An aroallo canon event is walking into a space designated as friendly and safe to "all of the aspectrum" [awesome, sounds good, I like being able to talk to people about issues that affect all of us] and realizing very quickly that you are not included in "all". It's the constant need to stick up for yourself in what is supposed to be a safe space that burns aroallos out of your community spaces. If you have a stark lack of aroallos in an all-inclusive zone, ask yourself if the environment is actually safe and welcoming, or if they are expected to constantly be their own advocate with no safety net. It's immensely common and underdiscussed.

Are you sticking up for the aroallos around you? Are you asking how you can be better? Are you expecting to rely on being "called out" rather than learning for yourself? Do you know what aroallophobia looks like? What sex negativity actually is? Please don't let aroallos fade away into the background of so many boundaries crossed and lines drawn that they have to go. We need bridges between the community now more than ever, and that means making it a two way street on each one.

ill be honest ive seen a lot of people criticize the romances in veilguard but i havent seen anywhere near as much criticism for the sex scenes which is baffling bc theyre just?? so bad???? i like some of them in a vacuum as individual scenes but the fact that they all take place at the same time because bioware Had to have a mandatory sex scene for every romance at the exact same point is so ass (not to mention that the timing is literally RIGHT after the unavoidable death of either harding or davrin like okay??? literally could not think of worse timing). like some of them just dont fit at all, bellaras is literally a confession scene that results in immediate sex (feels ooc for her but they dont even show anything that could lead to sex before the fade to black, so whats even the point?? again it just feels like they had a quota they were trying to stick to rather than making choices that fit the characters), and davrins just straight up does not work because by that point the climax of the relationship has already passed (and if youre going to put a sex scene during the climax of the story, then yes, it SHOULD serve as a climax for the relationship, pun not intended).

i think ppl who arent aroace should stop talking about luffy ships and aroace luffy. ESPECIALLY if theyre very against luffy ships. (like it's fine to hc luffy as aroace and it's fine to not like luffy ships! but holy shit do NOT fill your bs in the ship tags unless you are prepared to be criticized or be sent hate (which is unfortunate bc it just makes us look worse when we're already in the dumps))

anyway fun fact of the day! i held a poll on twt (and i should here too) abt how many ZL shippers are at least on the aroace spec, and it turns out a VAST MAJORITY of us are!

and also if i may add, while it's fine to not like luffy ships bc of Your aroace hc... i find it a little odd that it's always people that arent aroace hating/disliking it. maybe it's bc there are people who know fandom etiquette and not put negativity in ship tags.

(and not to include shipping discourse... while it's not ALL zs shippers... it's somehow always zs shippers. theyre so worried about us 'icky' zl shippers when they go and ship ZS lmao...)

apparently if you pressure astarion into sex after his confession in act 2 he'll straight up dump you, which makes me happy to hear because he's developing his boundaries and relearning self worth. it's a hard scene to watch (and one i could never bring myself to play through personally), but i'm really glad the developers included it bc your actions should have consequences and you shouldn't be able to treat the characters like shit and have them still fawn over you. also, he says THIS in response to tav saying that he seemed to be enjoying himself, and i don't think he could get more explicitly ace unless he had a big blinking neon sign on his forehead that read ACESPEC

i hereby ban alloromantic people from using “but some aromantic people date 👉👈” when talking about shipping aromantic characters. aromantic people may use this as freely as they want. we have earned the right. however. i’ve heard alloromantic people say that so much and use it as essentially an excuse to ship aromantic characters.

Man, this might be a hot take, but I feel like a lot of the time people in fandom use QPRs as a cop-out for actual shipping. Like they'll see an aromantic character and go "hm, I can't ship them with this other character, but it's ok it's they're QPPs instead!" and then treat it exactly the same as actual shipping

Like. if you give some depth to what you mean by QPR at least? Or like. Acknowledge that aromantic people can be I'm romantic relationships and alloromantic people can be on QPRs for once
