This was so incredible for my first ever convention.

For the first time I saw furry suit in real life, I was moved to see other furries for real. I've only ever seen furries online or on tv but it feels like magic seeing them in person.

The cosplay, the gaming, nerds of all types, I have found my people.

The ornate skills of the artist of many different mediums was something to behold. They were these pokemon statues that looked like they should be in temple as the gods of ancient people.

Last weekend Retro Gaming con was a BLAST!

It was my first time joining a very niche event, and my booth was kinda out of place coz it was so pinkish and girly, but never once I felt unwelcomed there! I was so overwhelmed by people liking my stuff especially when they learned that I made everything by hand 😭

I was even approached by a local toymaker and asked for an art collab 🥺

I felt like I was running my own poll of Who's the Most Popular Zelda characters 🤣

For those who are curious, TOTK Link won 1st place, followed by ALBW Zelda (she got an edge coz one buyer thought she was Sailor Moon lol). OOT Link and TP Link are fighting for 3rd place while TP Zelda falls on the 4th. I think if I made some WW and ALTTP characters, the ranking might end up differently lol

Next con will be in January and after that well, that depends if I get another invite or lead again 😆

This is my final run before Saturday! I'm not much of a cosplayer so these are practices on how I'll pose (i didn't think last time I was Kanaya) Thought it'd be a good excuse to cosplay John funny to play on how Homestuck was originally a parody of video games at a game convention.

As a heads up, the Wisconsin Computer Club is going to have a good-sized section of the video game area at LincCon in Merrill Wisconsin TOMORROW and all weekend through Sunday, October 6th. We're hosting a "Vigilante 8 - 2nd Offense" tournament at noon on Sunday for those interested in winning the trophy! Not writing but my fiance is running a vendor table at Corgscon this upcoming Saturday and I wanted to help him promote it! He's been such a wonderful support for all of my writing nonsense and so I made him some graphics to promote his shop. We've got a bunch of Playstations, Xboxes, and a few other weird things in stock and I've been helping him with all the repairs and testing. Even if you can't make it, if you're interested in vintage gaming, right-to-repair, or just want to support him, please give this post a boost!

Yes, roommate and I cosplayed peach and daisy. Yes, there were a million Astarion cosplayers and yet I only got pictures with two. Pictures under the cut!

I've been sitting on this for a while, but now it's official! Retro Matsuri, a new convention for anime and games at least 20 years old, is scheduled for July 25-26, 2025, in Concord, NH and I am seeking artists and vendors who would be interested in selling there. See link for details.

I had a busy and exciting weekend at Retro World Expo in Hartford! This was my first time tabling at Retro World Expo. My table was two tables away from another game developer who I met at Connecticut Gamer Con earlier this year. There I had inspired him to promote his games at conventions. The convention community is surprisingly small and interconnected.

While there, I ate at a somewhat upscale Caribbean-inspired restaurant called The Russell and also at a breakfast/lunch restaurant called The Place 2 Be. I’ve been to the Springfield location, and the Hartford The Place 2 Be has a very different aesthetic.

Like at Too Many Games Expo, I hosted a free raffle at my table. I will announce the winners of the raffle in the near future!

Fun fact (to newer followers) I use to take my Mega Man plush with me to conventions and place him on my artist table. I had to stop when people kept thinking I was selling him 😅
