Sisters Army Start Point
So this is my army's progress as of rn. Not shown are an extra unbuilt Novitiate squad (need to swap Killteam roles eventually), and 3 old metal sisters I need to base. Included are my vintage repressor, dialogus, and cherub. On the right are Novitiates with chainswords proxied as Repentia (hate the gymshorts), and in the back are some Seraphim and Zephyrim on custom sculpted Greco-Roman Pillar flightstands. Also shown is my Repressor, which is my current project alongside my Junith kitbash. Feel free to request any closeups and I'll post em, was hard to get focus on the whole batch. Bit above 1k points

So NOW I can use these effects paints as base paints as planned! I am perhaps irrationally excited about this.

Also, as long as I had the airbrush out, I decided to get some work on the dumpy Despotek.

Here's all of the Crustcrons so far with the "decay" paint and retributor armor details.
Next step is weapons, then eyes, then varnish before shading the metallics and highlighting everything.
[What I don't actually know is if canonically Necrons can be repaired like this. I imagine they can? Because they are robots. But also have souls stuffed in there and what if you take out the piece with the soul?
Also, I'm too lazy to look up lore, so.]

piggy-backing on the sorcier post--
sorciers have ranks and special privileges & responsibilities for each. for example, crovita is a shade-class retributor; shades have the widest range of responsibility and privilege, specifically, as they are typically the most effective and efficient at what they do - hunting monsters, criminals, spying, assassinations, investigations into homicides, trafficking of any kind, even handing out tickets. they are always on-call outside of work, but seeing as they're literally always working, they rarely have the time to just be on-call.
how any of this is determined is via extensive testing, except as it pertains to the executive branch - that takes time and careful selection, typically via retirement-replacement, as in when one executive steps down or dies or whatever have you, they must have a replacement lined up to take their place immediately. sorciers, as a whole, are incredibly well-organized if inherently fucking flawed.
executives; all government-specific agents, as in the beauraucracy, people who regularly make legislative decisions, judges, all the systemic management & logistics, etc. these are the big dogs, what they say goes, and if you've got anything to say about, you're probably going to wind up in the triangulary
shades; while a secondary class for retributors, this is the highest rank one can achieve as a field operator. as stated before, shades are typically the most effective at what they do, from hunting monsters to assassinations to even handing out tickets and citations. chiefly, they spy, hunt, and kill, given some executive privileges in the way of judge, jury, and executioner both inside and out of nightfolk-designated spaces - if you aren't killed first, you're headed for the triangulary in short order. internationally-based.
retributors; these types are hunters, by and large, of monsters and nightfolk criminals. the majority of them are given license to hunt as they see fit, provided they don't cause any collateral death or damage. they typically handle what shades do not and what investigators cannot - smaller-scale stuff, but no less important or dangerous (kaede is a plain retributor, given some shade priveleges due to his relationship with crovita and her vouching for him). nationally-based with some exceptions.
investigators; well, they investigate and solve cases on a local scale. there isn't much to say about this grouping, as they kinda handle most of the leg work, particularly regarding information-gathering, detective work, arrests, non-violent crimes, some murders, some drug cases, some poaching/trafficking cases, etc. locally-based with some exceptions
grunts; handle all the civil stuff, like domestic violence cases, marriage disputes, evictions, repossessions, tickets, security at big events, theft, really the simple stuff like that. they handle all the boring stuff, really; even investigators get to have more fun in their work.

Hey hey! It's a-me!! The essay writer again!
Lol, sorry.
This time, I just summed up some questions about your AU Exorcists
1. Since Lute's and Adam's personalities are different in Sinners Symphony, I suppose that the morale in the army is different from canon, far closer to "We do what has to be done" instead of the usual "Haha, die you little b@#es. I'm at 261 now, how about you?" Am I correct?
2. How do the Exorcists fight? Now we know that in your AU Blessed weapons are insanely overpowered (sinners are crying for a nerf constantly), I wonder if the soldiers still fight open and without cover just to mindlessly kill a bunch of sinners or if the ladies have more discipline in this?
3. And lastly, two questions in one, do the Exorcists leave behind their weaponry like in canon? Since if not, Carmilla Carmine would probably not become an overlord, or at least have far lower than in canon, since the weapons would be super rare and far more difficult to manipulate with, resulting in less employees, resulting in less deals, resulting in less power.
Have a great day/night. Richard.
And by the way, Sir Pentious in Sinners Symphony when?
Yes the exterminators are a well trained and disciplined unit of soldiers, some lieutenants are even trained by Azrael himself, they do not take pleasure or enjoyment from their work or see it as a game, they do what needs to be done, nothing more and nothing less. There is discipline in the army like in today's armies, the soldiers respect their superiors very much and obey their orders under all circumstances.
Lute is the most skilled exterminator at the moment, in fact she was personally trained by Azrael and is the closest exterminator to Azrael. Lute has the greatest respect for Azrael and will not hesitate to punish anyone who insults him.
War styles:
I haven't designed it yet, but I'll try put a sketch here. Exterminators are divided into 3 different classes
Tumblr media
Seraphic Smitebringers (Divine Strikers): These warriors are equipped with heavy weapons that reflect the power of the heavens.
Celestial Swiftwings: This group is known for the speed of their wings, descending upon their enemies like lightning.
Ethereal Vanguard: These warriors combine both powerful blows and swift movement to create a versatile force on the battlefield, but they are neither as fast as Swiftwings nor as powerful as Smitebringers.
Weapons they use
For Seraphic Smitebringers:
Divine Retributors: Great, luminous hammers that echo like thunder with each strike.
Judgment Hammers: Mighty war hammers, adorned with gold and silver, representing fair judgment.
For Celestial Swiftwings:
Heavenly Katanas: Long, slender swords that slice through enemies with speed and grace.
Windscythes: Light and sharp sickles that harness the power of the wind.
For Ethereal Vanguard:
Astral Lances: Spears made of stardust, effective at both near and far range.
Balance Blades: Two-sided blades that offer the perfect balance of power and speed.
The exterminators don't leave their weapons in hell as in the canonü (1. they don't leave a weapon in hell that can kill them 2. the weapons of the exterminators are made in a customized way, they have a spiritual value. 3 even if they leave it, nothing much changes, a sinner cannot touch it)
Carmilla is an arms dealer again. (Like Tony did before he became Iron Man), she is a weapon merchant, her power comes from the quality and uniqueness of the weapons she made in this AU, not from angelic weapons. she is still a 2nd place overlord, after all, Pride Ring is a battlefield and a battlefield needs weapons
+ Carmilla has destroyed all of her rivals, no one else in Pride Ring can enter the weapon trade because they are destroyed directly by Carmilla. so Carmilla's power is still the same, nothing has changed in the level.
I wish you a good day too
and I have no idea about sir pentious right now.

Azem as Odysseus: a clever problem-solver, a warrior and tale-teller; one who ever thinks of home on their long journeys
Azem as Heracles: a powerhouse, ferocious and seemingly invincible; not the wisest head on their shoulders but always capable
Azem as Atalanta: a challenge-taker, a glory-seeker, a fierce competitor with an irrepressible energy
Azem as Dionysus: the life of the party, doing it for the meme, always gathering a coterie of followers; a little wild and out of control
Azem as Nemesis: a retributor, grim and humorless, full of fire and fury, inevitable and terrifying; one who will pursue their prey across the face of the earth
Azem as Orpheus: the mournful poet, a musician and lyricist sharing tales of far-off corners of the world, ever filled with an unshakeable melancholy
Azem as Cassandra: the prophet, one who knows what is foretold by the troubles of the day; cursed to be turned a deaf ear by those who ought listen closest

The Codex Leaked (😒big surprise)
Heres my thoughts:
The hallowed Martyrs is still a very good choice, I think it's potentially the most versitile detachment, despite taking a slight nerf to the what used to be The Blade of Saint Elinor.
The Bringers of Flame feels like a mix of the Ebon Chalice and the Argent Shroud, which I'm all for. I am slightly disappointed how little support there is for bolters as a Argent Shroud fan, but tossing in some Flamers and Meltas will still work really nice. Especially now that you have Assault Retributors ;).
Army of Faith is yet another one of my favourites. Very big influence from the Sacred Rose with all the miracles. I really like how all the strategems are completely usable by everyone, however if you bring a whole heap of Seraphim or Zephyrim (which you should, coz they're cheap and very useful for harassing enemies) your strategems become AOEs.
Penitent Host is the last detachment, and works as the defacto agressive melee detachment. As a Blood Angels fan, I love this idea. As a certified ministorum hater, I hate how reliant this is on the arco-flagelants. That being said, I appriciate how agressive you can be with this detachment.
Units:
Morvenn is T7 now, so are the paragons. Morven also can be given a miracle dice (any miracle dice) and she gets extra 3 attacks for Fieldis and her Lance of Ilumination. But wait, theres more: if you kill any models, you get a new miracle dice back.
Dominions now give Scout 6" to any character that joins them. Meaning they might be very usefull with something like a Dogmata with 4 flamers in the Bringers of Flame detachment.
Imagifiers give any unut a 2+ save and a 4+ involnerable.
The tanks now all work together: The Immolator can remove cover bonuses, the Castigator gives everyone an additional -1AP, and the Exorcist had all of it's AP improved from the Index by 1. Very potent combo for removing big threats.
Sacrosancts got a buff. If any character leads them they become -1 to wound. Meaning Hospitallers and Imagifiers might just be very good for leading them and holding objectives.
Crusade:
I don't know how to explain this better than: It's literally just 9th edition rules. Which is great.
As I'm about to finish up a 3 month long crusade with my Heralds of the Chalice, I'm relatively confident in saying that the sisters might be an absolute pain to fight at higher levels with how many buffs you can stack.
Overall:
I really hope GW doesn't decide to be a bunch of cowards and reverse these changes for being "too powerful" because the sisters are so fucking back.
