The Most Romantic Lines in Mr. Queen:
King Cheoljong to Bong-hwan: “Why did it anger you so much?” “So? Did you figure it out?” “No, I cannot seem to figure it out. So, I decided to accept it, although I cannot understand it. That a blessing to others, may not be a blessing to you.”
King Cheoljong to Bong-hwan: “I’ll comfort you tomorrow.” “Your existence is comforting enough.”
Bong-hwan to Byeong-in, about Cheoljong: “You asked me why it has to be the King. Let me answer that question now. If someone has to be King, I think he’s the best one. He’s the most king-like out of everyone. So don’t stop me from going and casting a precious vote to the King.”
King Cheoljong to Bong-hwan: “When you weren’t in the Palace, I was surrounded by darkness, like there was a blackout. Oh, ‘Blackout’ means...” “No need to explain. I understand how you feel. I felt the same way.”
Bong-hwan to King Cheoljong: “If you really are from the future, then you must know the ending of this fight too. What happens?” “You’re going to lose. But I’m going to bet everything I’ve got on you.”
Bong-hwan to King Cheoljong: “So, you put all the eggs in my basket.” [Laughs] “Yes. All in. I went all in on you.”

Spice Up Our Love

An accident leaves author Nam Ja-Yeon trapped inside her newest R-rated novel, she must find a way to get out and without falling for the CEO.
If you read my review of No Gain No Love, you know I loved that show. Well, this is the two-episode spinoff that focuses on Nam Ja-Yeon as the main character in her novel Spice Up Our Love. She's shocked to find that the CEO in the story is not her first love Yeo Ha-Joon like it was when she was writing it. No, he is now CEO of Kkulbee Education Bok Gyu-Hyun.
I loved Bok Gyu-Hyun and Nam Ja-Yeon's relationship in No Gain No Love, so I was excited to see how they would pull this off and whether it would still make sense to the original story. I can say with absolute certainty that they pulled it off.
The way they made it fit into the original story was perfect and since it takes place in Ja-Yeon's head, the outlandish parts were funny and really helped sell the story. I loved her realizing why Bok Gyu-Hyun had become the CEO in the story and how it all worked into her feelings for him.
It was a quick two episodes but I was so satisfied. Stay for the after-credits scene to see some behind-the-scenes footage, including Lee Sang-Yi singing the song from the OST! I am a huge Lee Sang-Yi fan so it was a nice surprise. You can watch both episodes now on Amazon Prime Video!

some thoughts abt teuk n sora

because i enjoyed being exposed to an overwhelming amount of sugar and dimples, apparently
watched the episodes a few years ago but my korean wasn't that good yet so i didn't really get into them
but these days my korean got better! so i know the gist of what they're doing, what's going on, what are they saying to flirt with each other etc. i ended up watching their cinema meeting part #1-#10 without realizing it and was so pleased at understanding 70% of their awkwardness!
i saw "sunny" but i didn't know it was sora! the more you get into hallyu i guess…
i was thinking that sora had such an innocent and youthful look about her, then i look her up and was like… oh it's a seven year gap! the only other i've seen having that much gap is between choi minyong and jang doyeon (8 years) which we'll talk about those two in another post!!
well that gap didn't matter either as leader teuk was so flustered around her 70% of the time lol
rising cheekbones and red ears galore!
their piano performance exchange
the stolen glances during their early courtship in 2011 omalord
teuk: crashing her drama shooting and her flight because why not
man i don't know if i'll ever date irl, but i learned a lot (and mayhaps lives) through these episodes
HAND HOLDS
sora carrying around a big bag for her events (us girls being overpackers, i relate, even tho hers is for a show)
the way she just have a bundle of stuff prepared for him
when they went to his school and the students were like "you wanna kiss each other right?" had the two on gunpoint i swear
back to eye contact, even up to their trip to nami island leeteuk still had a hard time meeting her gaze if she's before him, protect this gentle man
and the special christmas episode, when he just sends her a comforting message by flipping his board nonchalantly AAAAKFJKFJAL SIR????
"he/she wasn't my type but became my type" lawd
AND WHEN SHE GAVE HIM A SOFT "please hurry back" INSTEAD OF AEGYO AKDSAFSASLFK
also when he had to find her hand blindfolded UGAgAIIAD
telling her to just shove the jjajjangmyeon quick to his mouth coz it's yeneung! it's variety! we gotta win! lol the entertainer soul aint leaving him.
sora packing sujus lunch after SS4 concert and gave teuk a medley show with his suit
oohohohoho speaking about that episode, the doryeonims kkKAJDLA
"appearing when it's awkward, we're Fighting, JuniORS!" aka teuk's annoying lil brothers sung-eun-hae-kyu
(tho sungmin was the bane of their existence TT)
ohOOOOO hyEONGsuniiIIM
sora asking them to take care of teuk and them succeding barely
thank you for introducing me to "superman" tho, it was a good song
OH the house and furniture purchasing stuff was also fun!!
[not at me liking the vid to refer to how to rent a house in korea by leeteuk]
ESPECIALLY when they had that drunken agassi and police detective roleplay
like sora was so goOOD what an actress, like the aegyo, ma'am?? i was taking notes! you got the man weak in the knees!!
the caption pointing to leeteuk was like "weak for (when called) 'oppa'" GAKSDJSLDK
sora was like "oh detective, i see no one but you! all the things in my life culminated into our meeting!"
THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE THING HE ALSO WOULDN'T EVEN MEET HER EYES I CANNOT--
they also adopted four nemo fishies
[apparently they call donghae nemo in Korea???...why is jeno a samoyed and he a fish….?]
OHOHO they also went to everland! and became donghae's hype guy n hype girl for his date! and just ducks around the store trying not to get seen! and sora threw donghae her purse coz, man, really?? unprepared for a date??
ANd SORA's SHOE ACCIDENTALY FLEW OFF HER FOOT I CACKLED SO HARD leeteuk had to retrieve it during their hide-and-seek effort?
she was a little clumsy then. somehow i think if she did actually became suju's in-law she'll be just fine with that energy
'then' because there's this compilation clip of teuksora "meeting" for 2017's(?) golden disk, and man...
their glow up in that late 3rd gen-early 4th gen's styling?? sora's voice got deeper and she was so ladylike and beautiful and elegant and leader teuk just rocked that sakura (grapefruit?) hair but was still the wild suju's leader lol AGHH my heart
anyway back to 2011-2012 in the next post coz wow I ranted a lot

The Trauma Code: Heros on Call

Baek Kang Hyuk is one of the best trauma surgeons in South Korea, typically spending his time in conflict zones. When he takes a job at a university hospital, he turns the place upside down.
I love a good medical drama, so I was excited when I saw the announcement for The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. I grew up watching ER with my mom (am I aging myself with that confession?), and even now, I put on 911 when I get bored. I was also excited to see Ju Ji Hoon play a badass doctor.
The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call is one of those dramas where eight episodes just aren't enough. I wanted to explore more of Dr. Baek’s backstory and see how much Yang Jae Won would grow over time. Eight episodes simply weren’t enough for me.
That said, I loved the episodes we did get. The writing is strong, and the acting is fantastic. I felt the tension with the doctors during major emergencies and found myself celebrating—or crying—with them when we saw the outcomes. There were a few things I would have changed, but overall, I really enjoyed it.
If you have a free weekend and nothing to watch, I’d definitely recommend giving The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call a shot. It’s a great time, and you won’t regret it. Plus, Ju Ji Hoon has been picking some really good dramas lately. If you haven’t seen Light Shop, I highly recommend it.
Just a side note: I get squeamish with graphic medical scenes, and this one pushed my limits. If you don’t like blood or intense medical procedures, you might want to sit this one out.

Big variety companies never face the repercussion for what they put celebrities into. This is not the first time accusations were thrown towards them because the hosts asked to do something or reply to something. It's one thing to hold idols accountable for not protesting/resist or being careless or even getting in trouble alone for what they things they say or do of their own will but it's another to limit yourself to swiftly call out the hosts but never push action taking towards them and the administration making money out of all that. They have never actually had repercussion on the problematic stuff they do or say unless they directly embarrass or hurt their guests. (Like Doni and Coni and some other cases) And even there the clip or episode is just deleted.
Don't continue call 4th Generation idols sellout because the companies choose to not promote on TV like your beloved 2th Gen (or 3th too) when the majority of accusations come from these programs (Half of which aren't even that spectacular as you paint them to be, just a couple, the others are decent at best).
The idols aren't even paid that much on average and are already overly criticized by default and get even more criticism, hate and loose money and fans with this stuff, the television companies and hosts never lose anything. Ever.
About BamBam's recent accusations.
