Santa Rosa Shih Tzu Puppy believe in giving back to the community. Today, we participated in "National Read Across America" at Harper's school, Harrison Elementary, in Prince George County. It was my honor to read The Giving Tree to Mrs.Kunkel's 1st Grade Class. Afterward each child was given a gift of an Apple to either enjoy or to give to someone else.🍎 I taught for several decades and I am so proud that parents trusted me with the education of their children and I am equally proud that our Santa Rosa Shih Tzu Puppy Families trust us with caring for their puppy or in some cases, puppies, plural. Responding to a severe shortage of substitute teachers in the province the Nova Scotia Teachers Union in conjunction with the Minister of Finance have announced changes in the Teachers’ Pension Plan. The changes will allow retired teachers in Nova Scotia to substitute a total of 99.5 days during the school year instead of the previous 69.5 days. Fourth up in the "Faces Behind" Santa Rosa Shih Tzu Puppy🐾 series is me, Cynthia White. Before starting my Shih Tzu journey, I was a teacher for 32 years. Yes, you heard that right, 32 years. I am so proud that parents trusted me with the education of their children and I am equally proud that our Santa Rosa Shih Tzu Puppy Families trust us with caring for their puppy or in some cases, puppies, plural. I love the Shih Tzu breed and am so happy that we can assist in adding these little bundles of love to families all over the East Coast. I was an English teacher, so no surprise that I enjoy Reading and Journaling when I can find the time. My job here on the farm is "Any Job That Needs Tackling," but my specialty is communication.🐾😊 I am also a strong advocate for children with autism and children with other disabilities. I serve on our local Prince George County Public School's Special Education Advisory Committee or SEAC for short, and hope to fill a vacancy on the State SEAC one day. I hold a Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorder, which I received as part of my M.Ed. program, so if I can ever help anyone with questions regarding Austism, I am always available to assist those seeking answers. I may not have the answer, but I will do my best to point you in the right direction. Just sent off the Teacher Guide for Rowdy, book 3. Dad did a fantastic job! If you are unaware, he wrote teacher guides for all the Rowdy books to date. 3 so far! He has successfully created fabulous learning opportunities and activities with Rowdy that span from 6th-12th grade AND has included the National standards as well as TEKS! 🤠 If you don’t know my dad, here is a brief bio… Jack Mullen is a retired Texas teacher of 18 years. He earned a BA in Theater Arts and English from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, an MS Degree in Foreign Affairs from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., is a graduate of the National War College, and served as an Author/Instructor at The U.S. Army Command and Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. After 22 years on active duty as an Army officer, he retired with the rank of Colonel and completed 40 additional semester hours at The University of Texas at San Antonio to achieve a Texas State Lifetime Teaching Certificate in Secondary English and Social Studies. I’m a recently retired teacher who relocated with my hubby to the sunshine filled island of Lanzarote after working in Germany for MODschools for the last 15 years.
