    It’s early, earlier than what Sage likes, especially when she’s off. Wrapped up in Dante’s shirt, she finds herself packing him lunch, humming to some J-Pop song crooning on her bluetooth speaker. Dealing with people in any capacity is exhausting, even more when he’s traveling and does whatever he likes when he’s out of her sight. And he’s a big guy, so why wouldn’t she make it her business to pack him a hearty lunch, with snacks to keep him from going hungry ? Sage enjoys the thought of him eating what she made and thinking of her. Because all of it is made with her love. 

Pointed ears twitch, fond smile curving her lips at the sounds of him finally getting up. She leaves him to his business before setting the coffee to brew. Ten minutes slide by peacefully, where Sage is putting the finishing touches on his lunch before zipping up the lunch bag. It’s only when she’s sipping her coffee that his arms are suddenly around her waist, features nuzzling into her throat. The heat of him at her back is welcome, and she sinks into him for a moment, relishing in the smell of him. ❝ ━ Mornin', pretty boy. ❞ Shifting, she turns her head to press a kiss to his temple, a sigh of utter contentment against his skin. ❝ ━ Mm, made ye coffee, so drink it before ye go, ‘kay ? ❞ 

In relative, and peaceful silence, they drink their coffee, small chatter as they lean into one another. Not like any other morning, though why she’s wide awake at this hour, only Sage knows. But she’s more than content to watch him, be in awe of her husband and his handsomeness this early. Taking both of their empty cups, they’re placed in the sink before holding out the lunch bag with his meal and snacks for the day.

He looks puzzled for a moment, head tilting like a curious puppy and for a moment it strikes her as cute. But when he meets her gaze, her brows furrow at his words. ❝ ━ ’s no different than ye wantin' to defend me, because it’s who we are. I can’t make sure my husband doesn’t go hungry ? That’s silly, babe. I made ye lunch because I wanted to, because I don’t want ye hangry and snappish with people who probably don’t deserve it. ❞

She reaches out, cupping his cheek, an exasperated but fond look in her gaze, ❝ ━ There are a lot of things I don’t have to do, but I do them because I love ye. Even if I was mad, I’d still do anything for ye, because yer my husband and ye deserve to be cared for, okay? ❞ Placing the bag in his hand, she presses a kiss to his cheek and gently fixes his tie, ❝ ━ I’ll see ye later, baby, have a good day, and don’t bust too many heads. ❞

i was gonna try to finish reaper's rewards over the weekend but i've been hit-by-a-bus levels of exhausted the past few days and just wound up fucking around in CAS with the new L&D stuff. i really like the new CAS items :D I'm very happy to see so much yellow.

not a huge fan of the hair i put on Caleb and I doubt I'll use it much in game, but I do like that it looks like what would happen if he slept catastrophically wrong on his (ungodly) default haircut.

to be fair i have been desiring a. shuffle of units i would perhaps say? not that the current units are bad but just as the eccentrics served their part in the war and were retired, i think seeing characters leaving a unit would be an interesting conflict.... you have this. dissonance between 'the bonds we have will never break even we are apart (and doing whatever life guides us to doing)' and the found family that took so long to foster... the longing and sadness that will occur over this. loss of a role model...... also i like angst. shrugs. much to consider...........

what does it say about her that the only time she sleeps fitfully is when she's in his arms. maybe it's the heat of his body, or the way his arms curl around her or the entanglement of their limbs that does her in. whether it's an amalgation of it all, sage can't even be embarrassed that she slept deeply enough for her to drool on him. sure, she felt the slightest hint of mortification, but he was so comfortable !
