Zaynab is a Pakistani lesbian practicing law in Chicago and training with a former pro wrestler in her free time. Although her traditional mother is determined to find her a husband, she begins seeing Alma, a passionate Mexican American woman who owns a local bookstore. Alma's open and loving relationship with her mother causes Zaynab to reevaluate her relationship with her own mother and everything she's been keeping from her. This offbeat, lesbian rom-com is full of laughs and a whole lot of heart. One of my new favourite queer indie movies!

just let them have a personality too, don't tokenize them. And make them a weird freak. we need more trans characters that are weird freaks.

If your reasoning for thinking caitvi isn't "proper lesbian representation" has ANYTHING to do with them having to be a specific level of 'pure, healthy, unproblematic, nontoxic, etc', I have some bad news for you.

You have fallen for the homophobic demands of society that you have to be a well-behaved little gay in order to not stir the pot and coexist with the heteros among you.
