It’s that Byers family rizz. That kind of quirky, offbeat, maybe a little out there charm??? That underdog and low-key-kind-of-a-loser vibe??? The niche taste in music, thrifted clothes, shaggy haircut, and having to convince others that they’re not crazy energy??? Absolutely irresistible. It’s so funny that the Byers are canonically a weird and bullied, socially outcast family but that they all canonically have rizz 😭😭 Bc why is Jonathan pulling Nancy Wheeler??? Why does every girl who looks at Will want to kiss him??? Why is someone always talking Joyce on a date??? When you’re in a rizz competition and your opponent is the Byers family.

So you’re telling me that Finn got in trouble for talking about his favourite Byler scene (the van scene), Noah as well for a lot of stuff and the Duffers being explicitly strict and secret (not even the workers on set know anything about how it turns out. Lucas and Max really deserve to have their moment of intimacy in s5 and I really hope they get it. They have had one of the strongest and longest-lasting romantic connections in the show, and it’s so clear how much Lucas loves Max. Literally thinking about her safety and wanting to protect her from the very beginning. And now he’s seemingly lost her and is devastated, just holding onto the idea that she might not be gone and could wake up. If/when Max wakes up, they deserve to make out passionately or even go even further. Jopper and Jancy both got to have their moments of passion, and we know Byler will probably get theirs (or at least should). But I feel like it would be nice for a POC character to get their passionate scene as well bc this seems so underrepresented, and it’s a bad look imo if all the white couples get to do it but the interracial couple doesn’t! Hell if even teenage Mike and El got to make out then Lumax should get to also! I said what I said, Lumax deserves to sloppy kiss!!

okay, i'm probably overthinking this and seeing something that is not there but

this is mr. scott's bike (or at least i assume that because it is outside his house in s1 ep6)

this is a bike that was in that picture with a whole buch of bikes from the stranger things instagram groupchat thingy

look smilar? personally, i think so. now the fact that there is just one bike and not a duplicate makes me think that this is going to be for a minor charcter. so, will mr. scott come back in s5 riding his bike around hawkins? personally i really want him to interact with byler but i guess we'll just have to see.

Honestly the cinematography of Byler scenes is proof enough that it makes sense. Have you ever seen Melvin scenes being shot the way Jancy, or Jopper scenes are? We have with Byler though, and that’s a visible fact. It wouldn’t make sense for the Duffer Brothers to make Melvin endgame when they don’t even have scenes alone in a romantic cinematography setting.

Or let alone if El‘s character arc is set to be hinting at independence, and Mike‘s at coming-of-age or self discovery, and it wouldn’t make even more sense for Melvin to drift apart, and Byler agree on being a team at the end of Season 4, if they made El and Mike end up together.

THEY COULD‘VE WRITTEN MELVIN SO WELL, BUT THEY DECIDED NOT TO. THEY JUST DIDN‘T.
