Despite waking at the crack of dawn, Shepherd is NOT a morning person. Not even remotely. Sure, he’ll get to work as soon as he wakes if he has to, but that’s out of necessity (and, besides, it’s drilled into him since childhood. The man couldn’t sleep in even if he wanted to. His internal clock won’t let him).

For the first hour or so of being awake, Shep won’t communicate very much outside of grunts and hums. He’s not much of a talker even when he’s completely awake, but even less so when his brain is still trying to process the mere fact that he exists. He’s always found with a full cup of coffee in his hand if it’s available (once, Sarnax watched him down his mug one moment, and refill it the next. He suggested just drinking out of the pot, with how much he drinks, but Shepherd argued that it was unsanitary and it’s communal coffee. Shepherd then proceeded to be the only one drinking from it anyway)

On the flip side, Clayton IS a morning person. And it annoys the ever-loving fuck out of Shepherd.

If El had earnestly wanted to be in an Enclave, if she'd shown off her powers her first year at school, Ophelia would have found her. She'd have found out about El several years younger, less powerful, locked up in the school. Before the big Enclave war started kicking off in the outside world to distract everyone. And Gwen would have been alone at the commune with no idea they were in danger.

Can you imagine what that woman would have done?

I'm nearly a month late to the anniversary but it's somehow been over a year since I published putting your fist through a thick sheet of glass (i know you don't want to) and I'm just feeling very emotional about it tonight to be honest. a few weeks ago somebody ran a stop sign and crashed into my car, and being both rich and nice they took full responsibility (it was 100% their fault and they literally live in a mansion, i googled their address bc spying on the person who caused 3k damage to your car is your natural right). their insurance also paid for me to get a rental car (nationwide IS on your side btw), so enterprise gave me a 2024 jetta for a week.

my car, for reference, is 11 and a half years old. that jetta was like a spaceship. i had to get the rental dude to come back and tell me how to turn it on. monkeys understand how to use a cell phone but i couldn’t turn on this ridiculous car. when my car was ready for pick up i was sad bc i had to give back my free spaceship. i don’t want to pay 30k and more for a damn new car but it sure was nice to drive that one around for zero dollars.

Shifted the kennels as far left as possible to free up the cubby + hook on shams side

Yoshis side holds her working gear and an emergency leash for finding strays. Shams side holds whatever is needed for the day and a little package of jumper cables. I will probably start using the hooks for the needed day stuff but I’ll see which is easiest to use// might need to make a deeper hook that latches on that hook so it’s easier to grab n go and more secure. Then treat pouch is just clipped to a random tie down strap so they don’t go flying everywhere

There’s also hooks on each kennel from the tie down straps that I could probably hook leashes on to instead…. We’ll see

Also very thankful for the experience driving an SUV with the rental when the truck got hit bc I learned I need to put that towel down over the bumper otherwise dogs will lose their footing and end up scratching the paint. Bc sham literally failed to jump properly today and his foot would have landed straight on the fresh new pretty paint and definitely scratched it up if I hadn’t already been prepared with the towel there. You can see the wet paw print mark on the towel on the lowest edge of the yellow.

Also had Yoshi find the car again today in a slightly different parking spot between two cars and she got confused bc I was parked next to a white suv. She targeted the white one first, I asked her where the car was, she took a second to sniff then walked around the white suv and targeted my drivers door correctly. It’s not gonna take long for her to adjust

i hate having chronic stomach problems because like . YES i will go through periods where it is so visibly debilitating because i will not be able to eat or retain food, i will be super dehydrated and lose tons of weight, i will look horrible and it will show but also like . more frequently than not i just have persistent stomach discomfort and upset . i have reflux almost constantly, i am queasy for no reason a lot of the time, i am exhausted all the time by this for a variety of reasons but it isn't just obvious to other people because im used to having to function while feeling like im about to puke or shit my pants !!!!!!! i just have to be normal about it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i shouldnt have to be normal about it though and people should take me seriously when i say i cant do something because my stomach is upset !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
