I really do want Rolin to describe exactly what he saw. I mean, the bits of Sam as Lestat-as-Harlequin we saw in the episode were genuinely impressive, it feels like he has a lot of body control. So...I hope Rolin is very inspired

Honestly, Rolin would not have been out of line assuming a white Australian man has no sense of rhythm, hahaha.

It does make me wonder how much choreography they actually did for the scene though, especially as we see such little glimpses of it but presumably they would've probably staged at least a few scenes from the play itself? This is neither here nor there for either of your asks, haha, but I actually figured out which one it was for writing Ungodly Hour too, which was a bit of an adventure given Anne never specifies it in the book, but it's definitely the French comedy Arlequin Balourd (or Unbalanced Harlequin) and from the description of it, I can see why Rolin made Lestat Harlequin instead of Lelio (at least in Armand's recollection) lol:

Flaminia is the ward of the Doctor who intends to marry her.  Lelio loves Flaminia, who loves him, but as the Doctor keeps her imprisoned, Lelio uses his servants Scapin and Arlequin to find ways of letting him see his mistress.  Arlequin is promised a substantial reward if he succeeds and, being jealous of Scapin’s rival efforts, he devises multiple schemes, carrying them out so clumsily that he causes a row between his master and Flaminia.  Arlequin’s blunders create the plot of this play and the marriage of the two lovers is the conclusion.

It's especially interesting to me too given it seems like Harlequin's actually the main character of the play, even if Lelio's the romantic lead. I feel like the can probably have a lot of fun with that.
