ok well im ebegging again
hi. i once again have bills coming up (need to send them to my dad by end of day on aug6th...) and they are kind of bad this time. i was hospitalized for a period of time this month because i had sepsis which quite literally fucked up my ability to make money... before the hospitalization because i was too sick to work (due to the unknown sepsis. lol) and then after it as well because (without going into too much detail) they had to cut into me to fix it and the wound is in an area that makes walking for too long hurt.
also because of the hospitaliztion i have become overdrafted in my bank account, only adding to the amount i need for bills. along with that my car has been in desperate need of an oil change since april, i am getting calls from debt collectors again, and i owe a bunch of different people money... all of which to say im fucked!
i always end up getting really sick after i start having to grind for bills and its hitting me early this time, which just makes everything harder... (i'm already going out and doordashing despite having to limp half the time because of fucked up ankles) i dont like going out and working while im sick, especially since i work with food, but the closer bills are coming the more im having to
literally anything helps if you are able. i also have commissions open if you want to get something out of it. if $15 is too high dm me and i will draw something for you for less. if we add up all the debts i owe its over $1,000 but the most pressing and important is $534.03 so that's all i'll ask for...

every time i teach a natural dye workshop they sell out and i get people asking me when i'm doing more because they couldn't get a spot or they couldn't make the date of the workshop and i have to say that i'm not sure & it's bc i don't actually know how people organize teaching a workshop (particularly where to host it) when it isn't being done by an organisation that's hiring me to teach for them 😭😭 i need to figure this out bc once i do i could be teaching workshops year round on my own schedule and more people could access this craft but idk where to hoooost themmm
#if i had private studio space downtown or somewhere that would be different#and its hard cause it cant be hosted just anywhere bc i need a sink that isnt used for food prep#and to be able to run pots on a stove or hot plate or a crock pot or whatever#the rest of it i can understand like collecting registration fees and sharing workshop dates n shit like that is easy

Week of being mega sick is really cutting into the PTO I saved up for playing dragon age and also taking the LSAT. And yet I stay silly
#quietly adjusting my days off next week from 2 to 1 on my outlook calendar and sighing wistfully#we could have had it all#(i mean the game will take all day to download anyway on my connection. this isn't likely a huge loss)#im just grateful that if i had to get sick at all it was before the test and not during#like being asleep for 24 hours fucked up my test registration date/location plans but i can adapt#at least i won't hack up a lung on test day. knock on wood

today has instilled a new zest for life in me. oh god things could be so so much worse!
#was hanging out w friends yesterday and my one friend got pulled over going through a toll booth near my house#turns out his registration was expired and he didnt know and they towed him car#he had the cops take him to my house bc the dmv doesnt take walk ins. stayed over. we took him to the dmv in the morning#2 hours in there to fix the registration + another 2 to get his parents to transfer him money for it#go to the towing place and they cant release his car bc theyre a private company that works for the state#(he was pulled over on the parkway so it was a state trooper)#and they need a release form from the state police who are located at an unmarked building off the side of the parkway#like its not on the map#we go. finally get an officer to come out. officer comes out. says he cant give him the form bc his license is suspended#because he got a ticket 1 year ago and had a court date but he had just moved and the courts had his old address#so he never received his summons and the court just assumed he was ditching them#PLUS. once the state trooper found the actual ticket my friend remembered that he had gotten pulled over bc his phone#was in his hand but he was using it as a GPS bc he was new to the area. and the cop wrote up a ticket but never gave him one#so he didnt even know he had been written up#so now his car is stuck in south jersey. he has to take the train up to north jersey. beg the brooklyn courts to let him appear online#and then somehow get back down here and get the paperwork to get his car. meanwhile its also $250 every day the tow people have the car#i just cant believe how this didnt all happen at once. how it was quite literally one thing after the next in a straight line of disaster
