hi. i once again have bills coming up (need to send them to my dad by end of day on aug6th...) and they are kind of bad this time. i was hospitalized for a period of time this month because i had sepsis which quite literally fucked up my ability to make money... before the hospitalization because i was too sick to work (due to the unknown sepsis. lol) and then after it as well because (without going into too much detail) they had to cut into me to fix it and the wound is in an area that makes walking for too long hurt.

also because of the hospitaliztion i have become overdrafted in my bank account, only adding to the amount i need for bills. along with that my car has been in desperate need of an oil change since april, i am getting calls from debt collectors again, and i owe a bunch of different people money... all of which to say im fucked!

i always end up getting really sick after i start having to grind for bills and its hitting me early this time, which just makes everything harder... (i'm already going out and doordashing despite having to limp half the time because of fucked up ankles) i dont like going out and working while im sick, especially since i work with food, but the closer bills are coming the more im having to

literally anything helps if you are able. i also have commissions open if you want to get something out of it. if $15 is too high dm me and i will draw something for you for less. if we add up all the debts i owe its over $1,000 but the most pressing and important is $534.03 so that's all i'll ask for...

every time i teach a natural dye workshop they sell out and i get people asking me when i'm doing more because they couldn't get a spot or they couldn't make the date of the workshop and i have to say that i'm not sure & it's bc i don't actually know how people organize teaching a workshop (particularly where to host it) when it isn't being done by an organisation that's hiring me to teach for them 😭😭 i need to figure this out bc once i do i could be teaching workshops year round on my own schedule and more people could access this craft but idk where to hoooost themmm

I saw a video on a 76-year-old woman who has received tens of thousands of dollars worth of fines because she used to have Star Trek vanity plates. The fines are mostly traffic camera tickets from people who have bought custom plates that match her old ones from Amazon/Etsy/etc. and are illegally using them on their cars. The tickets are from all over the country and she has to fight each one individually.

The comments are full of idiots who are way over confident abt dealing with law enforcement. People are suggesting she can just ignore the tickets/summons. Among other things they seem to believe that there are large payouts available if the cops arrest you and then you are found innocent.

Arresting her for ignoring court summons or not paying a ticket would NOT be considered a wrongful arrest, even if she can prove she is not guilty of the traffic violation.

Your rights to sue the police are extremely limited.
