🦋Jeremy is completely aware of how, when, and where you had died. He was there after all when it happened.

🦋 But despite all that, he'd rather live the rest of his life with his delusions of you—alive and unharmed, just patiently waiting for him in his room like the good pet that you are—than face the reality of you gone.

pov: You were a quiet girl living a happy life with your family. All until Rezef Hills, former heir to the throne of Eldyme bound you as his servant after wiping out your family. Fortunately for you, Kayena Hills, saved you from a fate set in stone.

There was a time when I was forced to act his little puppet and snap the thread of innocent people's lives, I could do nothing but clench my fists whilst doing the future emperor of Eldyme's biding. Every morning I told myself that this was my fate, to be Rezef Hill's marionette. I had to do this to survive. That is, until I met her.

The moment I saw her oppose Rezef, her cunning eyes revealing none of her true thoughts while placing one hand on his cheek, calming his fury in an instant, I felt hope.

My future, my fate... I can change it. I could avenge my family, all who were slaughtered ruthlessly in one of the many outbursts of Rezef's. They did nothing wrong, yet why was it that no one spoke up against the injustice? 'Such is the world we live in,' my mother told me once, before she too was killed.

Kayena Hills, Rezef's older sister and one of the heirs to the throne of Eldyme had offered me help and support to avenge my family, in return for my loyalty. How she came to know of them was beyond me, as I had told not a single soul about them. It made me wonder if I was that easy to read. I must change that immediately before Rezef realizes too. However, I had observed the princess enough to know that she would not make disadvantageous deals with her supporters. I accepted the deal, and swore on my life to serve the princess.

Which is why, I was walking up the aisle carrying a red cushion that held the most majestic crown adorned with jewels, at this moment.

I offered the crown to the priest and stepped down, watching as Kayena was crowned the Empress of Eldyme. Cheers broke out as she raised her scepter. Her lady's in waiting curtsied gracefully as Her Highness walked down the aisle. She stopped in front of me, and smiled. I kneeled in front of her, overcome with pride. We had come such a long way together, in the short span of two months. Rezef was stripped of almost all authority, and his temporary tyrant rule came to an end. Kayena was soon to wed Duke Kedrey, and peace was surely to ensue.

A small part of me felt guilty for betraying Rezef, but I squashed those feelings. He had caused nothing but pain and misery to me and my family. Kayena was my savior and true friend. Her compassion and kindness towards a lowly knight was what had helped me avenge my bloodline. She had helped me live, rather than just survive. And I would always be grateful to her for that.

Cayena even agrees with Rezef you were so young you already been through enough pain you don't need more. They feel bad for you. Even though they don't like you at first.

They agree to keep you around because you make their day better. The maids were shocked  whenever you treated everyone around him with respect. Every maid calls you an angel that is sent from above. Now have the young sir respect and attention. 

◛⑅·˚ ༘ ♡ You keep everyone in check, you also made a club for hating on my father for no reason, Rezef and Cayena definitely join the club cause they hate him as much as you did. Cayena Just watches as her father gets pranked every everytime by Rezef would make you take a picture of his reaction lol you both got punished and have to write a full on sorry letter. Rezef didn't write one and MC did but with Cayena.  

◛⑅·˚ ༘ ♡  When Rezef have a bad day he goes to your room and have a tea party and then when you  are tired he just cuddles with you for the whole night. You guys would play together and Cayena would watch in awe as you and Rezef just dress up and act sassy lol. You guys are sweet heart and could both make Cayena day whenever she is sad or she has been yelled at by her ugly mean  father. 

◛⑅·˚ ༘ ♡ Cayena and Rezef started enjoying your presence even though it not much but for you it like a gift. They would never let you go. Also, never let you get hurt if you ever get hurt or they hear you cry they would hurt anyone who made you cry or you are in pain. 

◛⑅·˚ ༘ ♡ You are the sunshine to their world. If anyone bullies you or says something mean to you, they are never seen again. Not many people want to mess with you or they get hurt very badly because many people never see their family or the sunlight again.  They did never want to see you cry and be found out that you're the reason why you are crying so they do anything to stop your crying.

🦋 Eros suddenly grabbed your hand, forcing you to a stop. You flinch at the sudden contact (hopefully no one noticed), you turn to look at the Crown Prince beside you. He put the meeting to a halt and asked everyone to scram.

🦋 After all others had left, he turned to you, his hand still holding yours while his other hand held your jaw. His gaze on you was so sharp and intimidating you couldn't face him at all so instead you looked down and there you saw what you had done.

🦋 Your nervousness and shock was completely visible to Eros who laughed at the sight. It wasn't helpful at all, you know what kind of person your boss is and it made you feel scared of him, already overthinking of what may happen to you, yet Eros only calmly stood up from his seat and held your jaw stronger, making you look up at him.

You trust him a lot to know that he'll be fine though you still feel worried about him everytime.

🦋 And speaking of the devil, there he is, standing beside you with wide eyes as he didn't expect to face you today. You grab his legs and forcedly plop him down beside before he could run off, you are on top of him with your hands on either side of his head to avoid him from escaping. While you are determined to bring back the bond you both once shared, Cale's face is almost of the same color of his hair, he is extremely flustered from the position you're both in, if anyone could see this they would surely misunderstand.

🦋 You confronted Cale and he explained to you that he just didn't want to bother you at all, you sighed in relief, you thought you had done something wrong to him. You moved back to the place you were originally sitting as Cale finally gets to sit down properly.

🦋 You fiddled with the pen you were holding, then suddenly you remembered a memory from your childhood with Cale. You indicate to Cale for him to give you his hand and he did, wondering what you were gonna do but didn't dare ask. You started doodling on his wrist, a stickman and a stickwoman both holding ice creams.

🦋 "Is this–hmm... is this suppose to be us?" Cale guessed, you nodded cheerfully then asked him if he still remembered that day, and he cracked in a fit of laughter remembering that time you both tasted ice cream for the very first time, your reaction was most amusing.

The insistent pulling on your arm was starting to really hurt and your feet was starting to hurt as well from all the walking you had been put through.

Having more than enough of it, you looked up and tugged your arm away from your fiancé, that had him pausing in his steps.

“Rezef. Stop.”

He turned around and as expected his face was furious.

“Why? So you can run back to that bastard?”

“Bastard?”

He grabbed you by your shoulders, it wasn’t a rough grip but it was a firm one.

“You think I didn’t see you laughing around with that jerk?! Do you think I’ll ever let you be happy with another man?! No. Never.”

Another man? Laughing around? Ohhh.

You realized what Rezef’s problem had to be this time.

“Your Highness,” you placed a hand on one of his arms. “Please calm down. This entire situation is just a simple misunderstanding.”

You wanted to laugh at the vein poking out of his head now but managed to hold it in.
