Tension Tuesday- Scalenes and the trouble they cause So often, people complain about pain around the medial border of the shoulder blade. So often, it feels so good to get a deep elbow in there, or shove a ball or Theracane in the spot, but it doesn’t last. So often, it is the scalenes muscles who have found themselves short and tight pulling on the brachial plexus bundle. Looking here, you can see the dorsal scapula #nerve that runs down under the rhomboids right into that complaint spot. Treat the cause, not the symptom. #scalenes #scalenemuscles #referredpain #referralpain #triggerpointtherapy #triggerpointmassage #triggerpointrelease #triggerpoints #triggerpoint #treatthecausenotthesymptom #treatthecause #adaptablepolarity #backpain #shoulderbladepain https://www.instagram.com/p/Co78fDevI8J/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Pericardium: the organ (muscle), referred pain, meridians and associated muscles Interestingly enough, the potential referred pain from the membrane enclosing the heart can be both very similar to the heart referral of down the left arm line a heart attack, to neck and shoulder pain and back pain from an inflamed pericardium. This Meridian is also called “Circulation Sex “ which is interesting, and so are the associated muscles from Applied Kinesiology of the glutes and adductors…muscles very involved in the act of sex. #pericardium #pericardiummeridian #glutes #adductors #movementismedicine #movementmedicine #movement #muscles #meridians #referralpain #heartattack #neckpain #chestpain #myocarditis #adaptablepolarity #anatomy #energetico #energetica #energeticanatomy#humananatomy https://www.instagram.com/p/Clgu9sApzAI/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Bladder: the organ, associated muscles, myofascia, energetic meridian and referred pain I feel as though we’ve all held our pee too long and felt discomfort. That’s a typical referral pain around the pubic bone (not pictured) from swelling of the bladder. Another pattern I have seen is the referral to the sacrum/tail in a patch of pain/discomfort. There are sacral nerves that innervate the bladder, but I have seen reasons for this pain from poor water consumption to scar tissue to cancer. (Not my diagnosis but feedback provided later or history like a hysterectomy) There’s a third spot on the image here that according to some is related to the urethra, and those are the patches to the thigh. Illustrators note: fascinating that the fascial plane and associated muscles are so very close, except the pelvis to thigh where the referral patterns of pain are 🤔🤔🤔 #muscles #meridians #movement #referralpain #bladderproblems #Bladder #bladderhealth #itsallconnected #urinarybladder #bladdermeridian #fascia #fascial #fascialfitness #fascialrelease #fascialtraining #myofascia #myofascialrelease #myofascialtherapy #myofascial #adaptablepolarity #superficialbackline https://www.instagram.com/p/Ckv-msxPJB_/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
