Ok I'm sure the Celestials are smarter than this, but if Doom put together a team of alien heavy-hitters, dubbed them "Avengers" and sent them after Thanos, would that fulfill the script requirements?

I think he could get away with swapping a few members in and out, especially in the later stages when the team is bigger, but the OG 6 have to be a part of it somehow, because the core event everything revolves around (and therefore, the one you can change the least) is the Chitauri invasion of New York, which Tony, Steve, Bruce, Thor, Natasha, and Clint obviously had a hand in.

You'll notice any changes I've made to the Battle of New York have been additive - the events are the same, there's just more participants, like Kara and Percy. It varies from event to event, and the farther away in the timeline you get from the Battle of New York, the looser the constraints generally are, but rule of thumb, as long as things play out similarly enough, results and participants-wise, you can add or subtract whatever you want.

Doctor Who: Last Christmas

I rewatched this story on 10 September 2023. It’s the 2014 Christmas special.

We begin with Clara waking up, snow outside, and Santa Clause crash lands on her roof… and then the TARDIS arrives with the Doctor.

After the credits, we’re on a base somewhere with a woman called Shona being guided through an infirmary. Then the Doctor and Clara arrive and it’s chaos. Truths are shared and then Santa arrives.

This Christmas story ties up a few loose ends and sets up more plot points in the future of the show. It’s also creepy rather than nonsensical, bombastic fun. Although it has its moments… Some of the humour is subtle, like Shona (played by Faye Marsay) planning a “thrones marathon” (Marsay played a recurring character in Game of Thrones, generally beating Arya up. Arya, of course, was played by Maisie Williams… Okay, okay, maybe I’m reading too much into it!

Oh dear. Some of the ads on the blu-rays for things that no longer exist, like the BBC Store, makes this rewatch a trip through a different sort of time.

It wasn't as if she could order her body to hustle that cellular repair because she was tired of feeling cold all the time. If it wasn't for her silk-blend long underwear, she'd be shivering in the late October breeze.

She firmly shut the car door, and strode toward the shop. Mulder overtook her, reaching around to push the door open.

I sat up, heart pounding, gasping for breath as Mulder stumbled into the room. His hair was sticking up in the back like a rooster's comb, and if I wasn't having a breakdown, I would have laughed. "A bad one?" he asked.

"I give it a nine." I ran a shaky hand through my hair as Mulder brought me a glass of water from the bathroom.

"Yeah, but I bet you can't dance to it," he quipped as he handed me the glass and sat next to me on the bed. I took a long drink and wondered why people bring you water when you're upset. He rubbed my back as I took deep breaths and felt my heart try to escape my chest. "Which one was it? The one on the examining table?"

I bitterly regretted telling him about that particular horror show.

"I think Carmela's emotions were carried through the food she cooked to the people who ate it. She was angry when she made the ravioli, and the people who ate it became enraged." He sat back and folded his arms, as if daring her to take her best shot.

Scully took a sip of her club soda and fought a smile.

It's a dangerous assignment, I won't kid you about that. I knew what I was getting into from the start, although I wasn't happy about going in without backup. Still, Skinner was right. I couldn't risk the operation just because I feel naked without her next to me. But she found out anyway. Wish I could have seen her worming the details out of Skinner.

Getting By

It took a moment to achieve upright and stable, but once she did, Scully found she could shuffle with the best of the octogenarians. She'd made it around the bed, on a steady course to reach the door in under twenty minutes, when she remembered two things. One, there was someone in her apartment. Chances were really good that it was just her mother, who'd called the previous night and used her maternal radar to deduce her child's state of health. But two, she couldn't be sure of that and her gun was safely locked away in her end table. She turned and looked. Way back there. On the other side of the bed.

She swiveled slowly toward the door again and caught sight of the baseball bat standing in the corner.

S6 (or S7) Scully is very sick... and very loopy.

Scully frequently volunteered to handle this unpleasant task, but his misplaced guilt prevented him from accepting her gracious offer this time. For crying out loud, he nearly died simply because he went to an out-of-town basketball game. It was so senseless and humiliating. No, he would fight this battle alone.

Mulder's insurance company has no mercy.

In Extremis

The worst part of my decline is having to face my trials alone. So many times I've debated whether or not to tell Scully about my illness, but I can't seem to arrive at a decision. For crying out loud, she's a doctor. Sooner or later she's bound to notice the subtle clues of my deterioration. Do I honestly believe I can keep this from her until the bitter end? No matter how I check out, she's going to be heartbroken.

That's the key, Scully decided. I have to find a way to pull us both out of this miasma of snarkiness. I have to give Mulder something new and different to think about.

"I'm sure I can find it. I'll be there as soon as I can."

Scully nodded. She still had one friend in the FBI.

Wetwired Scully is on the run, calling up Pendrell for help and fleeing to her mother's.

Mulder throws his arm over his eyes and murmurs. "I don't want to go somewhere anymore, Scully. It's too hard."

Scully spotted it on a dusty shelf at a gas station QuikiMart, propped next to boxes of tinsel and faded red and green ornaments. A quick decision later, the miniature menorah was tucked into her plastic bag with sunflower seeds and a lottery ticket promising 38 million dollars.

Mulder looked surprised as he examined her offering.

"For good luck," she murmured.

Twin Paradox, A New Interpretation

"Perfect timing, Mulder. No haircut, but I just got rid of three days worth of beard. How are you feeling?" Scully again held the water to Mulder's lips as she spoke.

"From my mother. Don't worry, she signed my middle name on the card. I knew they were for you, though."

Mulder smiled, and Scully's heart turned over.

"I've been dreaming. Good dreams. You're in them, Scully."

Mulder squeezed around her and crouched low, fishing with long arms in the back of a bottom cabinet. "Ta da." He held up an avocado clunker from the 1970s, covered in grime.

The funny little Charlie Brown Christmas tree looked almost lovely if he squinted and turned his head sideways. Lights sparkled in the windows and soft music caressed the room. It was beginning to look a lot like happiness realized.

Will climbed on Mulder's lap as he sat cross-legged on the floor, taping wires to the branches so the baby couldn't pull on them. Will drooled on his shirt and grabbed his nose. "Gah."

Mulder leaned against one of the columns, casually crossing one ankle over the other, and squinted. He was trying to make out the textual message in the shimmering, as he is wont to do every time he visits the Lincoln Memorial. As usual, the epistle hidden in the water eluded him. He and Samantha used to play this game as children, making up imaginary Pentateuchal directives during every visit to the national mall. He smiled at the memory of some of the more ridiculous mandates from heaven they pretended to see.

Spending Time

I close my eyes briefly, trying to blink away the encroaching fog. I bite my lip until it bleeds. Even as I fade, I want her badly. She winds her hands together and shoves rhymically on my chest in a futile attempt at resuscitation. How lucky I am that my doctor is the pathologist who never says die.

He stood fidgeting with the cuff of his trench coat, waiting for a cue, for a hint of what she needed from him. He was willing to do anything for her.

She wanted to let him hold her, but a lump was growing in her throat. She was busy trying desperately not to cry in front of him.

Convergence

Everything is running smoothly, and it all results in a living being, itself interacting with other beings in much the same way the wandering atoms within it do. The organism moves, communicates with, and manipulates members of its own and other kinds to become a part of an always-jostling, writhing whole conglomeration clinging precariously to a tilted, rolling rock. The system is humming along nicely, taking care of itself quite well.

And then something goes terribly wrong. The steady fluid pressure inside the organism's network of blood vessels rises slightly, the heart pumping frantically. The adrenal glands release endocrine and adrenaline into the bloodstream, causing the blood to become a much more efficient oxygen carrier. The protein hasn't made it back to the lungs yet. The combination of speeding heartbeat and frantically pumping lungs makes the entire system shake and vibrate with anticipation.

Monday, and one of the many days Scully lived through.

Deus ex Machina

Her partner was staring at the low tree stump upon which Legere had been splitting wood. She walked toward him, stopping when she saw the subject of his inspection. The face of the stump was sawed off with a smooth surface. The gray weathered grains were stained black and brown in a starburst pattern. Scully leaned closer and squinted. The stain was more recent and thinned around the edges, revealing its true pigment. It was red.

"It's blood," she stated, mostly to herself.

S6 Scully (and Mulder) come face-to-face with a demon on one of Kersh's patrols.

Papercut

"Don't move, Mulder. I'm not yelling. You have a concussion...among other things."

He winced as he felt fat raindrops falling on him with stinging force. Everything before him was a blur. He waited, and Scully's form slowly took shape.

"How many fingers am I holding up?"

He looked at her, but his thoughts were clouded by pain in his head.

"Yeah. Fingers."

Scully finds her partner after he narrowly escapes a tornado.

One Man's Journey

I sense a wave of trembling pass through her frame as I marvel at the implausibility of our circumstances. Her head rests against my chest, against the very place where someone, or something, split me open and tried to remove my faith in her. When they realized they could not have that, they took everything else?

Post Three Words Mulder is desperate to keep Scully around while (temporarily) helpless to re-situate back to "normal."

Every time he closes his eyes, he sees her face. It's been like this for months now, maybe years, but never like tonight. Never like this. The memory of those baby blues riveted to him is seared into his soul.

After the fact, it was hard for Scully to describe just what had occurred since it all happened so quickly. Ernie had just finished a rousing rendition of "Rubber Ducky," and as the music changed, the other characters emerged from the curtain, one by one, for the final number. Her focus, of course, had been on Big Bird, hoping for his sake that the show could end without incident. But as she watched him glide gracefully along behind Elmo in the long line of figures circling the ice, suddenly he broke formation and made a beeline for Oscar. With a dive at the garbage can, he and the Grouch slid toward the center of the rink, in a mangled pile of feathers and fur.

Post Detour Mulder and Scully are sent on an FBI undercover mission... as Sesame Street characters on ice.

When Cows Fly

Scully froze. She stopped breathing altogether, hoping that complete lack of motion would prevent him from waking further so that she could surreptitiously pull herself away. Slowly resuming her breathing, she began to plot another run at the alarm clock when a nearby rumbling startled her.

"If you wanted to cuddle you could've just asked."

Rain King Scully is flustered by Mulder's oblivious consumption of her space.

Scully turned at Mulder's voice to see him pull up alongside her, and then she followed him out the door. One of the tables they had passed on the way in was now vacant, so they took their places in the wrought iron chairs flanking the matching round table.

"So, was it a good birthday, Scully?"

"Best one I've had in six months."

Post The Unnatural Mulder whisks Scully away to get gelato.

Combustion

She and her partner had faced this situation too many times, with one possibly losing the other permanently. Had this become almost mundane for them? To someone who had never faced this trauma before, the occasion magnified lost moments and things left unsaid. But for Scully, such thoughts had not even occurred to her, until now. Was it possible that she may never see Mulder again and never have the chance to express how she truly felt about him?

You'd think by now I'd be used to getting ditched, but with Mulder, it was never about gender. Sure, he was trying to protect me from taking the same stupid risks he was, but not because he thought I was a liability. That doesn't mean it didn't piss me off, but this--this one was a personal insult. And I don't like being insulted.

Mulder's swollen ankle prevents him from joining Scully and a misogynistic detective on the field.

Mother Love

Scully had invited him to join her and her mom for brunch that Sunday, but he politely declined and explained simply, "There's something I have to do." She accepted his excuse without question, perhaps understanding, or simply respecting his need to open up to her in his own time.

The moment was interrupted as Will emerged from his room and rejoined them. It was Mulder who first noticed him, and Scully followed his gaze. Home Alone

He stood at the lip of the stairs swaying and was feeling quite disorientated when the downstairs phone ringing tore a path through the cotton in his head. His good foot shifted inadvertently onto the first step but his toes could not dig into the carpet enough to stop his forward momentum. A final sway and his crutches slipped from his grasp with a clatter and he pitched forward, too shocked and slacked jawed to cry out. The hall flooring came up to collide with his nose at an alarming speed just as the answering machine kicked in.

Mulder gets into progressively worse scrapes on Valentine's Day, resulting in Maggie's arrival, Scully and Skinner's panic, and a reporter's opportunistic attempt to snap a photo.

My December

And then they found him.

Mainly because the puddle of red stood out in stark contrast to the endless white. Fortunately, they'd spotted his limp body wedged upside-down against a snow-covered rock before the last gimlet slither of light vanished over the next mountain. Only Mulder could render himself trussed up like some macabre raspberry ripple snowball....

AU-- S7 Mulder is wrapped up in barbed wire after a disastrous car accident. With no other recourse, Skinner and Scully prepare to pull it out themselves.

If I Close My Eyes Forever and Vortex

He was so excited at the thought of revisiting his old haunts and he hadn't really come down since. He called it his Oxford beat. Scully had nearly fallen out of the boat, laughing as he said it. They nearly both ended up in the river. Good memories, he was going to need them, they both were.

A sudden slither of melancholy caught her in the ribs. His hand tugging gently at hers brought her out of her reverie.

AU-- Mulder wakes from a dreamworld, nearly debilitated with serious injuries. Scully takes him to England to help him move on from the FBI; and the two-- of course-- stumble across an x-file.

I'm not the Close Encounter hero, but I'm close to something...terrible. I'm Fox William Mulder... the most colossal looser of all time. I am both found and at the same time irrevocably lost to you...to this. And I want...no need to think that I didn't have a choice, ...like Sam, that all this was inevitable for some universal goodness concept, which somehow got lost or derailed along the way. I made the choice Scully, but was it mine to begin with? Was this not ordained long ago by happenstance of my birthright? When I think of what I've cost you...

Maybe I deserve all this; perhaps everything was leading to this, in some divine plan that was kept secret from us. Though I'm sure you would be the first to tell me that, God doesn't use power tools against helpless living flesh.

!FNAF SL REDUX!

Character Profile #6 Funtime Foxy

The boisterous and prideful Foxy of the Funtime crew, known for his theatrical performances and interactivity. Another Main character in FNAF SL REDUX, and quite a lovely fellow all around. Let's head into the mind of such a fun Fox like hers.

Oh yeah I should mention this now, if you still don't know. Funtime Foxy in FNAF SL REDUX is gender fluid and will go by she/her, he/him, and they/them pronouns. So I will be using them interchangeably.

Funtime Foxy was the first Funtime animatronic built and completed. Designed to be inviting and a great attention grabber, smelling of strawberries and having a wonderfully loud megaphone voice. They were originally planned to be purple, but it just didn't look quite right to Afton.

Fruity Ass fox

Funtime Foxy was the perfect entertainment for children with expansive imagination, making and acting out fun stories for the children to enjoy. He's also one of two funtimes who can interact with the kids, making her an even better entertainer.

Funtime Foxy has always been sensitive to light so his shows really give off the theater experience (lights off), and when they were put in the underground facility, originally she was pretty chill. It was dark, it was quiet, the others were in the facility, and Fred was here with him. It was only when Fred would flee, that they would begin to feel empty and alone.

Then she would be experimented on by Afton. It didn't affect them too much, but they would become the 3rd of the main 4 Funtimes to be able to see Liz. Her remnant did affect him though, just like the others.

Including sleeping / dreaming

Funtime Foxy after this, would become very skittish and would try really hard to avoid the staff as much as they could. It didn't always work and if staff got too close he would pounce, making her difficult to deal with or even just do maintenance on. When Funtime Foxy was alone they mostly sulked, but when they began being able to see Liz, anytime she was present he would put on a show for her.

When Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental opened, Funtime Foxy would be ecstatic, and not much would change in relation to how they entertain, the only noticeable differences would be if he was rented out with someone else. She adapted real quick, though, just happy to be on stage again.

Foxy was not fully aware of what the plan was, in the same vein as Freddy, she only knew of the whole “Ennard” part. So like Freddy they had no intention of keeping the most recent technician alive, unlike Freddy that would be a big mistake.

Something CB learned was that she could trigger Foxy and/or Ballora's emergency stop. It is temporary, about maybe 10 to 12 secondary long, but long enough if needed.

And for this moment, it was crucial

Sorry, Foxy…

Funtime Foxy would soon after join the amalgamation, and once Circus Baby arrived he had a few choice words for her.

Let's move on to after CB had been thrown from Ennard, obviously him and Freddy butted heads a lot. With ballora temporarily out of commission, and no one else to reel Freddy in other than Bon Bon, Foxy would be the one to try and take charge. Freddy was not too enthusiastic about her impromptu leadership. Every chance Freddy would get he would take to making snide remarks towards Foxy and their choices.

Foxy wanted them to get in a stable condition, while Freddy was far more eager to just start exploring. It was constant back and forth till Foxy inevitably just took charge

Foxy would scour far for anything that could be used as a piece to make their body more functional, and for a while all they had was a plastic cup and thick tarp to cover them up. That was until they found a box of spare parts.

Taking a couple leg and arm pieces as well as a hook for defense, they would flee the scene and finally would begin to explore. Much to Freddy's delight

Foxys preferred exploring bigger buildings, usually Blockbuster (when it existed), radio stores, and even places like Target (to look at the clothes) obviously these places are usually a bit more locked up and may have security there so they usually have to flee.

Foxy tried really hard to avoid people, but did really miss entertaining on stage, but right now they really didn't have a choice.

By the events of Fnaf 6, Foxy would be the most skittish hiding in the darkness and largely avoiding everyone, including CB (before they truced)

When it comes to Afton though, Foxy watches from the shadows, observing Afton till attempting to pounce at just the right moment. It fails most of the time, but she tries. 

When it came to the fire, Foxy was more accepting, maybe it was exhaustion, maybe not, but she was just tired at this point.

Like the others, Foxy would not die but have her AI brought into the Employee Virtual Training Program.

Fun Foxy, HW 2 Funtime Foxy

Foxy’s reaction was vastly different then the others, reaction more being ‘WHERE THE HELL AM I?’ since they would never enter the private room. It would take less time for him to pick up on the fact that this isn't real, mostly because he had more characters around him that just didn't respond or react to him (This would be before the others knew how to Level hop)

Learning that his friends were with him in this strange new world made him feel so much better, and much like the others would enjoy themselves in this strange place because at least they were safe, safe forever.

Ship Sunken Foxy

Drowned in the sea, dawning a pirate's hat and coat, and not of that mortal realm, but still the same Funtime Foxy that we all know and love. He was released during the Wicked Tides event and was the second to last one released for the event. Grungily voice, and smells of seawater.

Tim turns his head at the soft their of a grappling hook, and a moment later, Steph joins him on the roof of the building.

"Not much happening tonight, huh?"

"Yeah, I guess," Cars rush past on the street below. The city is as alive as it ever is, but somehow the night feels unnervingly quiet. He knows he should be glad that everything’s calm right now; it meas people are safe, happy. There’s not a single sign of explosions or alarms going off in their vicinity, and that’s the goal.

"You don't sound very sure about that," Steph says, stepping up beside Tim and elbowing him lightly.

"Yeah," Tim watches as a stupidly expensive sports car changes lanes without signaling. The person behind them has to hit the brakes, and the blare of a car horn cuts through the relative quiet. It’s rude as hell, and technically it is illegal behavior, but it’s not the kind of thing a vigilante can solve, so he stays put on the roof.

"Okay, you're being weird,” Steph cuts through the prolonged silence. “What's up?"

Tim shrugs.

"Guess I'm just used to emergencies," He knows Steph wouldn't be weird about him bringing up Bernard, but he feels crazy enough, thinking about Bernard’s game. The last thing he wants is the other bats saying anything about it. And he really doesn’t want to make it sound like he’s compromised.

"Okay..." Steph trails off. "I mean I guess it has been pretty hectic for a while. Takes a bit of time to come down from all that?"

Tim is saved from having to respond by the sound of Oracle cutting into comms.

"Red Robin, Spoiler, looks like a store robbery in progress and you're the closest. Head for the intersection of 25th and Oak."

"Got it," Tim answers with some relief. He doesn't wait for Steph's response; just steps back, and takes a running jump off the building, glad to be on the move again.

Pretty soon they're both dropping in on a pair of goons. One of them is aiming their gun directly at a frazzled-looking employee, who doesn't seem interested in putting up a fight.

Two-on-two makes it an incredibly easy fight though, and it's almost over before it begins, with both of them able to sneak up on the distracted thugs as the cashier hurriedly pulls money out of the cash register. Once they're both in position, it's easy enough to grapple, disarm, and restrain them in a flurry of movement, and the criminals never get a chance to even process the arrival of the bats.

"Not today, I think," Spoiler says as she handcuffs her guy. "Threatening people with guns is a real dick move, y'know?" Tim gets his guy handcuffed and turns to the startled employee.

"Cops on the way yet?" He gets a frantic nod, and Tim surveys the shop as he waits for the sirens. They'll bounce just before the cops get here, but until then, he wants to look around for any signs of something bigger. The two would-be thieves seem too shocked and terrified at the appearance of bats to be proper goons, but they could still be bait, or a distraction of some kind. And the shop itself could theoretically have been targeted. He lets Spoiler guard the thieves, and makes a quick loop of the aisles, scanning for anything of interest, but when he finds nothing of note, he silently falls back in beside Spoiler.

"Right, the police are almost here, so we're gonna bounce!" Spoiler announces, just as Tim returns to her side. "Tell your boss I said you should get hazard pay for the night, 'kay?" and then she bounces out the same way they came in. Tim nods once at the employee and then follows.

He changes directions once he's on the rooftops again, though. He’d felt his wrist buzz approximately six times as he cased the shop, and that many messages means it’s either Bernard or one the Young Justice crowd. Either way, he’d rather check his messages in peace, so he grapples over to a nice out of the way spot, and checks his wrist computer.

Attached to the series of texts is a screenshot of Bernard’s phone, open to the forum he’d shown Tim. Falling back onto the flats of his feet, Tim closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, then looks closer at the screenshot.

At first glance, he can't tell what language it's supposed to be. It looks like it might be Romantic in origin, but a couple spellings look almost Slavic in nature, and there's only two and a half lines, which really isn't much to go off of.

It's certainly an interesting development, to say the least. He should be excited. This is a new clue for the mystery, after all.

No way! Tim sends back.

Yeah! U busy? Comes the immediate response. And like, technically the answer is yes, Tim supposed. But Steph literally just pointed out how calm things are tonight, and he can already tell he won't be able to focus, with this news.

"Um," Tim says into his comm. "I think I'm gonna call it for tonight."

"Something wrong?" Bruce asks immediately, all gruff-batman-voice.

"No, just- it's slow tonight, and Bernard wants my help with something so I thought it would be fine. If you want me to finish my patrol, I can." He can't help it. Even now, he always kind of feels like he isn't doing enough to be a good vigilante.

"Nah, kid. I think we'll be fine without you." Hood answers, unsurprisingly.

"You're sure?"

"Yeah go make out with your boyfriend or whatever."

Tim smiles at Hood's usual snark. It’s familiar in a steadying sort of way. He used to blush furiously whenever the others teased him about Bernard, but now it just feels like an easy constant. It’s maybe the most normal thing in his life, if he’s being honest.

"Okay. I'll make sure to get my report submitted by eight, promise." Tim is already en route to the nearest safe-house where he can change out of the suit, when he remembers he hasn't responded to Bernard yet.

Heading home rn. My place or yours? He hits send and then takes off once more. Excited to see his boyfriend, and determined to work through the newest puzzle.

The Lyric Game Redux Redux

So if you've been paying attention to my tags lately, or are @uniasus with whom I've actually discussed this outright (or @sunnymarbles with whom I've actually discussed this in person, but they ignore my posts entirely if I don't tag them), you might know that I've been working on an archiving project side-blog where I'm storing all my original tumblr posts (or, most of the time, reblogs where I added something significant-- although the definition of "significant" is very loose), having gone through my tumblr from the beginning (And either I didn't reblog much in the early years, let alone post anything original, or many posts have disappeared over the years. There are whole months with only four posts total!). Anyway, I'm up to Pandemic Lockdown time which curiously did not display much of a jump in posting, but I did just find the post where I attempted to resurrect my favorite LiveJournal game: The Lyric Game!

The rules are thus: I put my music library on shuffle and post the opening lines of the first ten songs that come up (instrumentals excluded). YOU reply with whichever ones you recognize (one point for title, one point for artist).

Now I had enough trouble getting people to play Back in the Day, and I feel like even less people follow me now, and I've added a bunch of really obscure music to my collection in the past five years, not to mention a lot more instrumentals to skip over (I noted when I reblog-archived the last one that yesterday my computer had decided to play at least three different Brandenberg Concertos in their entirety in the course of like five hours), so I was like, what would doing this again even LOOK like?

WELL LET'S FIND OUT.

Here are the first ten (relatively) songs from my music collection (on my computer) on shuffle. Do you recognize any of these songs? Reply with your answers! Don't cheat and steal anyone else's answers and/or look them up! Last time I gave 24 hours but that was during lockdown so I'll give you a week this time (starting from 8:30 AM EDT on May 12, 2025)! Every couple of days I'll add clues (genre, date, gender of singer, etc) to help jog your memory, so you'll have many chances! The genres in my collection span, like EVERYTHING (although there is very little country or rap, yeah I'm one of THOSE kinds of music snobs). Shall we begin?

Okay, that's a good mix. A couple well-known radio hits (not recent, but there are definitely two songs I'm pretty sure Everyone has heard), a couple lesser-known radio hits, a couple album tracks from famous/popular albums, a decent mix of genre and era though could be weirder (mostly pop in the end, nothing more recent than early 2000s)! Edit to add: also, somehow there are NO BEATLES or former Beatles on this particular list. So sorry, you can't use that as a throwaway guess.

dynamics i enjoy:

odile helps loop figure out how their new inhuman body works, maybe just for fun, or maybe in order to craft it to be something they're more comfortable with. or maybe they have to accept that it's something they can't change, instead.

loop's funny drama + odile's deadpan humor = they can keep a bit going for days. possibly they get mean about it but that's just their love language it's probably fine. probably.

loop lashes out bc they're a self-destructive mess and odile doesn't feed into it but she doesn't put up with it either. and loop, who still feels guilty about their failures and the 2hats fight, feels safer knowing that odile is willing to do what it takes to protect the party, even from loop. and loop from themself.

odile doesn't care for romantic love and loop hates the thought of being in a mushy sweet relationship like isabeau+siffrin are, so they kinda just do their own aloof-yet-intense thing together

loop wanders between isafrin and odile like an outdoor cat with two homes

they meet at a parkour competition… odile has stopped competing herself and only coaches/teaches, and is probably about to retire from that too soon, but perhaps she’ll teach one last promising competitor…….

rivals at the local farmers market. they both keep coincidentally buying the last of the thing that the other person wanted. nothing like a silent vendetta against a total stranger to make you wake up at 6am to be at the farmers market the moment they open. but maybe one day one of them is having a bad day and not getting their yummy treat is the last straw and the other feels bad and shares?

(not sure how to make loop be, well, loop, in a no-magic au? i usually make siffrin and loop headmates in a system. but you can also just keep magic around in a modern au if you want, the world is your oyster.)
