quite random but bc i get turbo ocd nightmares fairly often that tend to be about my intrusive thoughts and i've never actually seen any mention of it outside of asking my friends so i just want to say
1. dreams don't mean anything and never will they're just your brain entertaining itself in whatever way possible and there are no deeper meanings to them it's just nonsense conjured from whatever stimulus you've engaged in over time.
2. bc of the nature of intrusive thoughts being well. in your head. dreams or nightmares that take the shape of these thoughts and bring them to "life" in some way don't make them more real / less of an intrusive thought / etc. and anything can be considered a nightmare even if you don't wake up scared like a big dramatic chased by a dinosaur nightmare can. like if it makes you feel bad or anxious when you wake up that's a nightmare still, which is an easy, healthy way to reframe the thinking if ur struggling w these types of dreams
3. similarly if u dream of trauma/similiarly traumatising events that you have or have not 1:1 experienced but are still bc of said trauma, especially "sex dreams", these also mean nothing and are the same meaningless goop in your brain, and any reaction you may or may not have during or after the dream is bc of the same hormonal response your brain has to just about anything to do with sex. much like how someone sa'd who has a stimulated response didn't "actually like it", the only job of a dream is to in some way create stimulus and they're rooted in nothing tangible I Promise. reliving trauma of any kind in dreams is very common, doesn't mean you're suppressing anything or bad or secretly into it.
ok that's all kisses

Let him heal from his own issues or else <3
#Castiel#My posts#I have never seen a more traumatised self-loathing abused character be reduced to providing free therapy for some arsehole in every fic#Irdc if that arsehole is also traumatised self-loathing and abused if you’re still reducing Cas to his emotional prop#Yes Cas is a very compassionate loving empathetic supportive person but it very much comes at the cost of his own wellbeing#And NOBODY ever supports him back the way he supports them#At least not in the show. Unless you count angels like Balthazar and Hannah etc#And this translates very handily into the fandom. Like Cas has NO baggage of his own somehow#(And I mean baggage beyond pining for Dean or whatever. To be clear.)#Cas feeling worthless if he’s not useful. Cas feeling responsible for the downfall of the angels. Cas traumatised by violence loss death etc#Cas feeling unloved. Cas feeling unloveable. Literally this is all the same stuff you people#project onto Dean like constantly so why doesn’t Cas ever get to reconcile these things and heal from them????#And again. I cannot stress this enough. Cas getting kissed by secret good Dean in your au fanfics ≠ healing#And the thing is that I don’t care which sad boy in particular you ship Cas with if it’s Crowstiel Sastiel Destiel or something else#Because Crowley and Sam certainly have just an insane amount of issues themselves but crucially so does Cas#You treat his issues equitably in your fanworks or you pay him an hourly fuckin rate for his CBT services. Lol.

It will be fine because it always is but it is so exhausting sometimes to have a dog that just won’t thrive. Before her spay, Hallow was doing great w/r to her eating and GI problems- the food was working great, she had a fantastic appetite for just her kibble, she hasn’t had any GI episodes in nearly 6 months, which is huge for her. Since her spay she has gone back to refusing to eat pretty much anything. I understand that she’s going through huge hormonal changes. She also has been on antibiotics since her surgery because the incision got infected, and once that was resolved, she had a reaction to the internal sutures dissolving (which this is another thing, of COURSE her recovery was shitty because why not), so I’m sure her stomach is a bit off from that.
I would do anything for her, but the constant worrying is exhausting and I don’t know why she can’t be a dog who just… dogs, without having to constantly help her not crash and burn. It’d be one thing if it was just be having to give her daily massages and take her to weekly PT for the rest of her life but that’s only the half of it.

Tumblr media
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or fatigued? It might be time to explore the world of cortisol management—a vital aspect of maintaining balanced health and well-being. Join me as we delve into the importance of cortisol balance and why you might benefit from incorporating cortisol management strategies into your wellness routine.
What is Cortisol?
Cortisol is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands in response to stress. Often referred to as the "stress hormone," cortisol plays a crucial role in regulating metabolism, immune function, and the body's response to stressors. While cortisol is essential for survival, chronic stress can lead to imbalance of cortisol levels, resulting in a cascade of negative health effects.
Why You Might Need Cortisol Management
Many individuals today lead busy lives filled with constant demands and pressures, leading to chronic stress and imbalanced cortisol levels. If you experience any of the following symptoms, you may benefit from cortisol management:
Persistent fatigue or exhaustion
Difficulty sleeping or insomnia
Mood swings, anxiety, or irritability
Weight gain, particularly around the abdomen
Impaired immune function or frequent illnesses
Digestive issues or food cravings
Benefits of Cortisol Management
Effectively managing cortisol levels offers a host of benefits for overall health and well-being:
Stress Reduction: Cortisol management techniques help reduce stress levels, promoting relaxation and emotional balance.
Improved Sleep Quality: Balancing cortisol can enhance sleep patterns, leading to better rest and recovery.
Enhanced Energy: Regulating cortisol levels can reduce fatigue and boost overall energy levels.
Weight Management: Balancing cortisol may support weight loss efforts by reducing cravings and promoting metabolism.
