Song: The Satellite Station - What Am I Supposed To Do Video I made for my OC, Jo Keller Jo's story: Jo's mother was abducted when her daughter was only six months old. The event shattered the family: her father fell into a deep depression and turned to drink, and each of her five older brothers tried to hold them all together in one way or another. Jo grew up with no love or even acknowledgment from anyone, except her brother Edward. She would disappear for days at a time, and outside of Ed, no one even noticed her absence. She learned that she didn't need love or affection to survive, though she secretly longed for it. When she turned 18, she overheard her oldest brothers discussing 'what to do with the wild child', with the decision to marry her off to the son of their small-town's mayor. Not having that, Jo raided her oldest brother's things from when he had spent years searching for their mother, taking his clothes, gear, notebook and maps that had long been stored away. She fled to the west with one goal driving her: To find her mother, alive or dead, and find out if her mother had ever loved her. If anyone had ever loved her.

I've been really tempted to join a RedM server but it's honestly so overwhelming looking at all the servers available and what each one offers, their lengthy rules, and application processes that sometimes require an interview. I mean, don't get me wrong, I get why it's required to ensure everyone is on the same page and having a great time, but it's a lot when you're just looking to start out.

I'm no stranger to RP, growing up with RP bulletin boards but I am a little shy with voice-based role-playing i guess, I'm too scared to get it wrong or upset people if I haven't memorised the server rules and lore thoroughly enough. God i hate being such a people-pleaser sometimes...

I guess I wish there was some sort of happy medium more like a private group/lobby of RDO players who were into light role-playing, idk maybe that does exist but i just haven't found it yet.
