And now I turn @amphiptere-art Eclipse into a dragon. I'll admit I kinda started projecting Cynder onto them a little and almost made their marking on their chest into a marking on their forehead, but decided against it. I also considered giving them actual horns but decided against that as well to avoid a cluttered look.

While HS Eclipse I imagine to be a fire element, I think RBB Eclipse would be an electric or shadow element, though fire also feels fitting.

Hear me out- Ghosts have wings. They have wings, which are affected by their cores, and can make them disappear from sight if they want or need to. You got that? Good. 

Ecto-contaminated people? Don’t have wings. Liminals and Halfas, who have developed cores? Do have wings, and they can’t hide said wings, because unlike ghosts? Their bodies are physical living flesh. 

Now Gotham? Ecto-contaminated, there’s no doubt about it. The amount of portals that have been opened there and death pits and death cults… yeah it’d be surprising if it wasn’t. But again, no one really notices, because at most? Most just get a bit of eyeshine. 

The Bats however? Oh man are they freaking out when they wake up with aches in their back and feathers starting to poke through their skin. Curse? Nope! Welcome to Liminality, enjoy the second puberty of wings, emotion-sharing, fangs, claws, and whatever else you might develop- also enjoy the whole eating fear thing. (Wait, the what-)

Back to the Spiderman au I have where Peter has radioactive venom and accidentally bites Miles when the kid is trying to help him, and because he’s so full of guilt at accidentally doing this to the kid (especially in one of those universes where people absolutely hate the x-men and stuff, being mutated might ruin that person’s life), he takes him under his wing to teach him everything about his new powers and before he knows it, Miles is working alongside him as a new hero

For that au, I’m now thinking about that version of Peter trying to rescue Gwen, and in the end the only thing that can help her is for her to be turned, so he shares his venom, and to Peter it’s this incredibly horrible event where he’s dragged another person into this life of being mutated, but Miles, who is next to him and has never once been unhappy about gaining powers, is like “welcome to the web warriors!!! you’re one of us now!!! :D”

some more wc au lore! the black lion fulfills the role of starclan in this universe but its a bit diffrent from canon wc. instead of SC being just ancestors communicating with living cats, its instead a sentient amalgamation of said ancestors and functions as one whole being. whenever a clan cat dies their life essence (you could even say... their QUINTESSENCE......) joins the amalgamation, fusing with all the other souls. theres also SOME sort of a prophecy going on here, its propably something about swift and his gaggle of apprentices defeating The Witch (honerva) and freeing the captured cats with the help of a twoleg (allura<3)

...or something. still figuring stuff out this might all change lol

WELDER aka "Autobot" Lockdown

An "Autobot" design for [my interpretation of Lockdown] I have lying around for a year now... I didn't play much with it so, this is what I could gather quickly in an hour to at least give a visual reference for the ones curious (and when I actually sit down and throw some backstory comic/doodles next time).

What I have on my notes for his backstory but I don't want to set it completely in stone: he started practically as a sort of "auxiliary" drone on a big factory of tools and weapons and gained agency/individuality when interacting with his older cybertronian bosses.

Always a daredevil and observer, quite dry-honest with his very calculative-utilitarian point of view. Still, he preferred most of the time to keep to himself and blend with the multitude... he liked to jump-scare those around him just to amuse himself.

Welder was known to be incredibly fast at reparations and improvisation of tools and weapons with whatever was handled to him... even capable of tearing apart his own frame to repair his team-mates' combat damages.

He was pleasant to work with but was known to say "Yes" to then do whatever he wanted... he was just frowned upon because he exceeded in skills from other models of his same class. Another reason why Welder was kept at hand: he was easy to put on a new, fresh team to fill the field medic/repairer role for quick scout missions. That's how he met many faceplates and forged some contacts without much fuss.

... This initial permissiveness would cost the trust of the Autobots who welcomed him much later after so many fishy recommendations from the factory, that at times felt more like they wanted to get rid of Welder...
