i'm in part charge of recruiting people for my department at work, and for our hiring offer we were about to write "minimum of [x years] of experience required," but i remembered how people with audacity will apply regardless of what it says, but that wording will push away potential employees, especially women, who are considerate and value the time of both others and themselves, and think they can't apply if they have, let's say a few months less experience than what we required, so i asked it to be switched to "around [x years] of experience required." and it's such a small change but it makes a big difference. and man idk what my point is but often it's good when you listen to people and their problems, so you might come up with low/no effort ways of helping even if it's just a little bit, instead of going "well that shouldnt be a problem, you should just act/do/etc. different"

Alrighty due to recent losses of several Lancer teams as well as the sudden loss of solo Lancers the CORSAIR Mercenary Company is starting a recruitment drive.

My job is to sort through those of you who are interested in signing up for the company. Simple as.

(OOC: yes I'm hosting a lancer game homebrew campaign but in the cannon universe)

Applicants are expected to be of licence level one. Other than that it's down to the psych evaluation by our doctors to make sure you won't kill us in the field. (OOC: Yes y'all will start at licence level one and I'll need a quick interview in dms of a rough character concept and general getting to know you as I set the team up)

(OOC: A few more things to note. The game will be run Sundays 12:30 EDT weekly. It's mostly first come first serve but I'll still leave some wiggle room. also since people can be weird online about japanese culture and queer stuff I feel like it's important to note that like. arasaka being especially regressive about gender and sexuality and stuff is something I 100% see as a consequence of saburo being a 150yo fascist who built a global empire and is known for being brutal and exacting. I hope that shows through with like. this being something that his own family and people close to him don't necessarily agree with but live under because he's the one in charge.
