I contend that when one is feeling creatively empty, a good way to fill the tank is by switching from OUTput to INput. Play a game, get out of the house, read a book. That said, I am UTTERLY TERRIBLE at devoting any time to anything that ISN'T producing something. My brain starts eating itself that I'm going to vanish in a cloud of irrelevancy the second I stop producing... ugh... "content". That said, a thousand "Whose Line" points to anyone who can guess what game I'm playing from that panel alone. (Yes, there is a correct answer) lol

Thought: Aurora deep sea horrors where the group gets stranded in a submarine undersea and has to survive and find a way to get back up while being tormented by deep sea horrors. Erin gets to have hubris about the horrors up close, Tess is like the Ripley of the group who would be the final girl if there was a death toll, Falst is the engineer who keeps finding new things breaking and having to fix them, and Dainix specifically has a very very bad time with this whole scenario

I'm not gonna write this fic NOW because I'm waiting for canon to give me inspiration for the horrors and a starting point in the timeline to jump onto but I have a file in my scrivener doc with notes and ideas that I'm planning to accumulate as boat arc continues. It'll give me something to think about between writing Worst Case Scenario (which is kind of like the precursor to this fic concept in that it had roughly the same process. Canon gives you a good idea laden with nightmare fuel and angst potential, wait for the timeline to give you a starting point and for the ideas to stew for long enough for you to have thoughts on them, write a fic inspired by stuff from the previous canon plot arc while the next arc is currently going)
