Red Bull Racing

Max Verstappen: starting off strong here with my favourite guy of all time. He's Inevitable™. He's fast. He's amazing. He's sweet and blunt and gorgeous and I want everything good for him. He's phenomenal, he moves me, he makes it's so easy to root for him and yet, it's incredibly taxing to be a fan given the British bias in F1 journalism and the fandom, not to mention FIA occasionally losing it's goddamn mind.

Sergio 'Checo' Perez: I'm actually so fond of him. His recent performances leave more to desired, I know, but fuck if he isn't the funniest mf around. Also it's simply a matter of time when he gets back in form [the bias is STRONG here I'm aware]. Also he's an extremely good second driver because I for one think he knows how to handle a team built around his teammate. I don't think any other driver on the current grid would have gelled with Max and Red Bull's structure [and strategy to win] the way Checo has.

Ferrari

Charles Leclerc: Il Predestinato. Saint Leclerc. Curse bearer and curse breaker. He's made to be a dream. He can make the hopeless hope. I know I said Max is generational talent but we're quite lucky to be in this era where we have not one, but TWO generational talents because Charles..... this guy..... you have to be blind to not see the sheer talent and insanity this man holds. Ferrari get your shit together istg. I need a Verstappen - Leclerc WDC fight. IT WILL BE GLORIOUS.

Carlos Sainz: *cough* ok, so, I wanna start off by saying I do think he's a chill guy off-track, ok? I really do think that. He's funny, quick, hot [ofc]. As a driver though. I just. He's good --not as good as F1 media wanted you to believe after his win in Australia and the circumstances surrounding it [WDC material??? Any GP winner now is considered WDC material??? ok]-- but he whines A LOT and I would actually prefer if his aggressiveness on track is directed less at his own teammate and more on their opposition? That would be cool. Plus sometimes he forgets it's not 'yippee we are all friends haha' all the time and inevitably fires up when someone serves cunt on track and he's bearing the brunt of it. I call it the Mclaren syndrome if anyone is interested.

George Russell: HES SUCH A HILARIOUS DIVA!!!! WHO DOESNT LOVE THIS GUY?? He's so entertaining and fun and he is a very good driver! I feel like we still have yet to see all he can achieve and I am very excited to see what happens next.

Lewis Hamilton: Legend. I truly have nothing else to add. Forget his fanbase, forget his tunnel vision when it comes to winning [and this applies to almost every driver, most of all my favourite ones lol], he's seven time world champion for a reason. Since we're asking for my opinions here though, I'll tell you this: anytime he wins I'm happy enough to see it [though I will forever want to see my favs on P1], any time he doesn't I don't care much, if he has a bad race I will give it less notice- basically, he exists in the periphery of my vision. I have been in awe of him for years and admire him but I cannot call myself a fan. One thing I can't help but obsess over is how cunty and unapologetic he is [which is also something that I love about Max].

Alpine

Esteban Ocon: He's a good driver, he's grinded hard to be here in F1 and I love to see it. Also, he's geek! In my books, that's always a plus.

Pierre Gasly: He's actually one of the most unremarkable drivers on the grid currently. Like there's nothing wrong with him and every time he pops up in interviews or whatever he's fun to see but that's about it? Honestly he seems like a cool guy, a driver okay enough but doesn't stand out much to me in anyway skdjhsjd

Sauber

Valtteri Bottas: THE MOST UNDERRATED DRIVER EVER MAYBE????? I love this dude and I'm hoping he can get something better than the tractor he has this season, as unlikely as it is.

Zhou Guanyu: Again, he's a nice enough driver and I really enjoy his vibe but he's crawling on the track in the tractor Sauber cooked up and I don't really know what to think of him beyond what I have stated.

Aston Martin

Fernando Alonso: Anyone who has a problem with Mr. Alonso has a problem with me. This is a strict Alonso Stan account, I do not take criticism and idc what anyone else has to say about him. He's a legend, he's an icon, he's the spirit of F1. I'm quite literally obsessed with him. You know what. Max is the Only One for me BUT if Fernando happened to win a 3rd title........... Did you know that Adrian Newey was recently acquired by Aston Martin [MAKE IT HAPPEN NEWEY].

Lance Stroll: idc. truly idc. some hate this guy, some love him. im at the camp of idgaf. just complete indifference.

Haas

Kevin Magnussen: If you've noticed anything by now, it's that I love love love track terrors. Not the stupid bitches who divebomb everyone all the time and start barking when it happens to them. Nah, the ones who race. I fucking love them. I love Kevin. Hoping against hope that he gets a seat somewhere next year, I will miss him so much. He's incredible to watch. God. I will actually miss him so much. Fuck.

Nico Hulkenberg: Another underrated driver, he's actually quite skillful and entertaining to watch. I just wish he had better luck like 😭

VCARB

Daniel Ricciardo: I miss him. His performances had waned and yeah, it had been time for him to go but I will still miss him and idk man I will admit I wasn't his biggest fan a while back, which had hurt because at some point, years back, he was the main reason why I watched the sport at all. But he had slowly wormed himself back in my heart and fuck. His last race actually made my chest clench ngl. He was absolutely amazing.

Liam Lawson: Consider me sat. I'm SO curious to see how he performs. We know he's got potential but just how far can he stretch?

Yuki Tsunoda: How many times have I used the word 'love' already? I'm sorry but what else can I say? I genuinely love this fella. He's so good and exciting to watch on track and also, plain funny. I wish for everything good to happen to him.

Williams

Alex Albon: infatuated with his billion dollar smile. Now that that's out of the way let me also just say HES SUNLIGHT INCARNATE, also I COULD LISTEN TO HIM YAP FOREVER. Idk I'm actually really happy for him because he seems to be flourishing at Williams and I mean this in the best way possible: he shines at a midfield team. [Also, note me saying he's sunshine doesn't negate just how fucking sly & sassy he can be. I adore that about him.]

Franco Colapinto: MY BELOVED. I perk up like a sunflower under the sun when I see him. He's such an intriguing driver. I detect hints of track terrorism abilities brewing here and cannot wait to see more of it. Also! He's so refreshing to listen to. I know like 80 percent of the grid is no-nonsense and transparent but man idk how to say this. He's a fucking comedian. Not a thought that has any sort of filter at all in that pretty little head of his. Just. No PR training at all here.

Logan Sargent: This boy. He did not deserve even a smidgen of what he had to tolerate. I actually detest the collective treatment from the fandom and his own fucking team that he had to constantly weather. I hope whatever racing division he advances to, he fucking demolishes. I hope he has so much fun winning. I miss him and his reserved smiles.

Special mention:

Oliver Bearman: I mean he raced twice this season, I can't skip over him just like that. Anyways, he's a BABY [< girl who's half a year older than him sjedhbwje] and I WANT HIM TO DO GOOD. He's done relatively well till now in the limited time on track [in F1] we've seen him, we'll have to wait and watch how he does next year. This F2 season for him has been... eh but like I get why.

GOTHAM FILES: SEASON 4

Jason Todd is dead. Bruce Wayne will never be the same. He stops going to and hosting galas, the paparazzi haven’t seen him in months—his own company hasn’t seen him in months—and the only times his closest friends and family ever see him is when he’s Batman. He’s barely left the Cave. He’s barely eating. He’s not talking to anyone. He’s beating villains to a pulp even more than usual, and he’s obsessed with trying to track down the Joker. This time… it might not matter if he’s set himself against killing… this time… maybe he just doesn’t have the self control. He wants revenge. Everyone is worried about him, and not Dick, not Barbara, not even Alfred can get through to him.

Enter Tim Drake (13).

Tim was a rich kid who lived in the same neighbourhood as Bruce—just down the road at another fancy-pants house with wealthy parents and a lavish lifestyle. The most notable thing about him, however, is that he’s got a genius level IQ… and he’s a fanboy of Batman. He had scoured the internet for clips of him caught on tape, had written a college-level paper about him in high school (Because he got moved ahead two grades), and at the moment, he’s getting worried about his hero. If what he’s seeing is correct, Batman is… starting to go off the deep end. The last criminal found by the police was barely breathing, which is not the Caped Crusader’s style. Something is wrong. Tim wants to find some way to talk to him (1, because he wants to meet his hero, and 2, because surely these extreme take-downs have a reasonable explanation, like there’s another vigilante in town doing this, or something). The deeper Tim goes, the more the name Bruce Wayne keeps popping up. It’s mostly just coincidences, though—the two of them never crossing paths despite the fact that Batman has saved Wayne Ent. before, Bruce Wayne coming back to Gotham after vanishing for eight long years, and then just a few months later, the Batman rumour started, stuff like that. But again, Tim can’t count them as anything more than coincidences… until he hears his parents talking about their neighbour Bruce. He hasn’t been seen or heard from for a long while now, and when they tried to phone, to ask if they could invite him over for dinner like old times, the butler said that Bruce wasn’t accepting any invitations right now. And this on the heels of the recent Robin vanishing? Tim had to check it out. Maybe Bruce was funding Batman’s exploits—like they were working together?

So one day, after school, he goes and spies on Wayne Manor. The rumours are true—Bruce does only have one butler. Weird for a guy as rich as him, especially in a house as big as this. And sure enough, he never caught any glimpses of Bruce in the manor, despite the fact that the butler had made it sound like his employer was home. Tim can’t be there all the time, though, so he sets up cameras to monitor the house. The next day, he finds the cameras all broken laying on his bedroom balcony. Now he’s even more determined to figure out what’s going on. So he hides one more camera extra well and he manages to catch a glimpse of a dark car that looks a lot like the Batmobile leaving the grounds of the house, but not on the main road. He has to do some triangulating and other smart stuff to figure out where the car had come from and eventually discovers a hidden entrance. To what, he’s not sure, but he’s getting excited. So he uses his big brain to fiddle with the wires of the special door he finds behind a waterfall and then he follows a dark tunnel into—THE BATCAVE. He’s flabbergasted. This has been here all this time!? He spends way too much time down there, geeking out, then tries to get a grip. He doesn’t know when Batman will be back, he has to decide what he’s going to do now.

Batman gets an alert that one of the secret doors to the cave is malfunctioning, so he heads back. He runs into the cave, expecting a criminal, but instead finds a 13-year-old boy sitting at the Bat Computer, waiting for him. Immediately, Batman tells him to get out. Tim tries to ask a few questions—respectfully, at first—like, are you okay? What happened to Robin? What’s been going on with you lately? But he sort of answers his own questions now that everything’s been laid out in front of him… and the Robin suit is right over there, in a glass case. Batman continues to get more and more aggressive with Tim, trying to physically force him to leave and threatening him and his parents if he ever thinks about spilling his secret identity, and just like that, Tim is banned from Wayne Manor. But he’s not giving up. His hero needs saving. He needs a Robin. (Or, that’s how he views it, anyway.)

While Tim was in the cave, he thought about stealing some gadgets, but he knew Bruce would catch him. Instead, he stole their blueprints on a hard drive and makes his own *improved* versions. He also makes his own Robin costume and away he goes, sneaking out one night to find Batman in Gotham. Which he does… followed immediately by Batman getting angry at him again and telling him to go home. Tim stands his ground, though. He’s not going to leave his side until he knows that Bruce is okay. This isn’t him, this isn’t Batman, he needs a reality check. He needs to be a hero again! Over and over this happens, with Tim pressing in more and more, following him around on missions until finally Bruce breaks. Silently, he takes Tim to the cemetery where Jason is buried. Tim pays his respects. Bruce asks if Tim has ever lost someone he cared about. Tim says no. But even so… he doesn’t want to lose Batman. Bruce hasn’t realised it, but he’s been making an incredible difference in Gotham. The streets are, by and large, getting safer. The police force is starting to shape up. He’s inspired other vigilantes to rise up, like Batgirl. He’s saved the world with the Justice League! He’s a hero! Or, at least, he was… until he started going dark. Maybe he just needs to take a break from being Batman for a while—

“No!”

Bruce won’t let Tim finish. He could never stop being Batman. Batman is the only thing keeping him going right now. It was his training that kept him from tearing himself up over his parents death, it was being Batman and saving the world with Robin that helped him get to an even better place, and right now, if he stops fighting, the only thing he’ll be left with is the empty Manor and memory of Jason and how he couldn’t save him. Tim takes his arm and invites him to go on a little trip. Tim’s dad sometimes takes him out to their second house in the country where they go fishing at the lake. It’s quiet out here. The trees are nice. The water’s nice. Tim and Bruce just shoot the breeze and catch some fish together. And Bruce… doesn’t have a terrible time. Tim can be a little pushy and he might think he’s got all the answers (when he really doesn’t) but he’s a hoot to watch when he tries to be “outdoorsy.” He’s not exactly the best at setting up his rod, or casting the line, or catching the fish, or basically anything to do with fishing, so Bruce ends up having to help him out, and… it turns into a nice little day trip. Bruce isn’t healed… and he’ll probably never heal… but at least… at least now he doesn’t feel completely alone. Tim makes sure that he never feels alone. He keeps following him on missions, and Bruce eventually just accepts that he’s got a new Robin now. But he’s not going to make the same mistake twice. He’s very strict with Tim and makes sure that he never disobeys orders. If he puts one toe out of line, he’s done.

On into the season we go, meeting new villains like Cluemaster, and also new heroes, like his daughter, Spoiler. She was fed up with her abusive, criminal father, and decided to help out Batman by spoiling his elaborate schemes. Once they helped take down Cluemaster together, Spoiler began to pop up again… a lot. She’d developed something of a crush on Tim, you see. And he was about to meet his match in terms of someone who’s persistent. Bruce thought it was very satisfying karma.

Nightwing and Batgirl are both let back into Bruce’s life over time, and things begin to move forward again.

The Hush storyline takes place in this season.

THEN Tim’s parents find out about his vigilante shenanigans and force him to stop, prompting Spoiler to temporarily take up the mantle of Robin. But then she and Bruce get into trouble, and Tim sees what’s happening live on the news, and he knows that he has to do something! Tim’s struggle to remain loyal to both his parents and his duty as a crime-fighter leads him to have a big argument with his dad. Like, “if you put on that mask again, we’re cutting you out of the will” kind of big. Which then escalates to, “I’d rather be poor and save Bruce’s life than be rich and let him die!” Which then leads to Tim getting kicked out. His father secretly hopes that this method of “tough love” will snap Tim out of the stupid ideas he’s got in his head, and that sooner or later he’ll come running back, but… all this does is hurt Tim tremendously. But there’s no time to wallow just now. He’s got to get to the Batcave! He goes, he helps save the day, Batman and Spoiler are alive, she hands the title of Robin back to Tim, and Tim explains about his situation to Bruce. When Bruce tries to fix things, though, Tim and his dad refuse to speak to one another. For the moment, it looks like Tim will be staying at the Manor.

Throughout this whole season, though, something’s been brewing in the background. Ra’s is moving again. He’s been popping up a little bit here and there over the last few seasons, but it’s nothing noteworthy. No big schemes… except for when he tried working with the Joker back at the end of Season 3. Ra’s was trying to cook up a new plan that involved Jason, but it had to get scrapped when Joker went off script and blew up the building. Now Joker’s on Ra’s “I don’t like you” list. Which is an extensive list. Anyway, Ra’s does still want Bruce to marry Talia and join the family business, so before the funeral, way back when, he went and stole Jason’s body in the dead of night. Jason is then brought to the League’s secret headquarters in Nepal where it’s revealed how Ra’s has been able to master all these fighting forms to perfection: he’s hundreds of years old! And he’s been keeping himself alive using a secret “Fountain of Youth” called the Lazarus Pit. With it, he brings Jason back to life.

DUN DUN DUN!!!!

END OF SEASON JUMP SCARE!!!

Oh, and after this season comes THE NEW TEEN TITANS and YOUNG JUSTICE!!! See, Tim gets a look at how the TTs are kinda not really teens anymore… and the team hasn’t really been active for a while… shoot, one of the members is a Justice Leaguer now. So he comes up with the idea for Young Justice, the B team as it were for the Justice League. Meanwhile, he revamps the Teen Titans (the NEW Teen Titans) and sets it up as like a training thing for young superheroes who might go on to join Young Justice or The League. ✨

Yes I do!!! I don't want to make a big post on Some Of The Stuff til the whole canto is up (if you are aware of this account and some of my recent postings it may become aware of what i am talking about) but ohhghghgh. This shit Re Awakened the naive cyanism in me!! I thought it was gone. I thought I was over Hong Lu! I haven't even been doing my dailies and weeklies as of late that's how out of it i've been. but NOPE!! We are sooooo limback babey!!

(i apologize for yapping about hong lu right off the bat. its not that guy's turn yet. it's don's world and we are all just living it, but with the way don's character is structured my brain goes more towards a "wait and see" approach for her. I know it'll be awesome and i Am invested but like. this is hong lu boobs dot tumblr dot com. I'm sorry women)

I'll put some basic stuff above the cut and then some more spoiler-y stuff below.

HUGE fan of the presentation this canto. PJM continues to get crazier with this stuff every canto and this is no exception.

In the light of that previous bullet, I am fully expecting some meta fuckery here. They've pulled some cool stuff at the ends of cantos 5 and 6 but. this is the sinner about delusion/unreality! I Live In Fear of whatever pm is cooking.

The setting is also REALLY fun. whenever I saw a new battle bg i was cheering and clapping. they're all so fun and whimsical and there's so much potential for interesting things

I really like seeing how people dress in the north of the city! We've had so many new factions/branches of factions thrown at us so far and I love a lot of the outfits! Will this still hold true when I try to draw them and get upset at the level of detail after drawing standard formalwear on pm characters for so long? Maybe!

The CGs have been really clean so far? As an artist I get worried about this stuff sometimes because it's a lot of work to get done but all the ones I've seen so far are really nice :)

If you aren't reading passives and status effects this canto. do that. my brain might be a little too small atm to comprehend some of the gimmicks w the main enemy type but some of the wording in the enemies passives may be hinting at things. Also some of them are really funny

this Might be my favorite direction they've taken the OST? Honestly it's so hard to pick because this ost NEVER misses but I've been typing this whole thing to that one boss's theme (you know the one)

I am so intimidated anytime the screen goes black and I have to deal with various colored text and Scary Voiceover. I cannot say much on it aside from just how scared i get whenever it happens. I'm pretty bad at identifying voices (especially if i don't understand the language) but these lines just get. so interesting

I don't have a ton to say on it especially because anything I say can be proven wrong Very Quickly and I am not a don quixote scholar but I think the "Please, please! I don't want an adventure, stop! Please!" line from (who i assume to me) second kindred don is VERY interesting. much to think about regardless!

Yep, we've got identity stuff going on. Yellow seems to be Our Don Quixote (It's her text color, at least, but back then she'd be the bloodfiend second kindred, hence being able to obliterate that bear immediately, and acting less in line with the DQ we know and love) while red is... maybe the original don quixote? The original owner of rocinate at least,("Your running shoes look like they could fetch a nice price...") who seems obsessed with justice and fixers like ours. I haven't read the book so I don't feel like I can add a ton more to this aside from flat speculation but I am very interested in how this develops.

Ok now I want to talk about Hong Lu stuff. Let's ignore the elephant in the room for just a second :)

I'm a big fan of the exchange between Dante, Verg, and Hong Lu. THERE IS SO MUCH CONCERNING FORESHADOWING IN HERE!!!!! OH MY GOG. I can't handle it.

the specific wording of "the most lucid one" is SO interesting to me. fully expecting these cantos to be a True Combo. I was already anticipating it because they both have so much to do with rules and the boundary of reality and delusion but with the familial hierarchy theme present in bloodfiends its Definitely happening. And the light in Hong Lu's left eye going dimmer??? with the water theming being used??? Gloom/sinking themed distortion Please Please Please. you're nothing. Theres some water connections from the book irt the land of illusion (near the end bao-yu's enlightenment is seen as realizing that everything is akin to moonlight mirrored in the water- it ultimately doesn't matter and everything predestined to happen will occur regardless) and this water theming is present in Hong Lu as well (base ego) but it's really interesting to see it Like This.\

And now. there's probably some other stuff I can talk about but I wanna say things about The Elephant In The Room. If you follow my stuff and are caught up on this canto you know what I'm talking about.

I have been compiling a diagram with every mention of Hong Lu's family across all his dialogue. (which you can see here if interested, though it's now outdated for obvious reasons) We only really get vague mentions, the only direct family appearance is Jia Huan, who shows up to say one line and then fucks off.

I was not expecting to get stuff on Hong Lu This Early. They've been giving us mostly crumbs and I was NOT expecting to get hit by All This. I have been surviving on scraps and I just had the Hong Lu lore equivalent of a rotisserie chicken thrown to me. I'm kind of rusty on DOTRC because I haven't touched up on it in a while and as such I cannot give too many details but it's very interesting to see Xichun.

I'm going to check up on Xichun's characterization in the source later because there's so many characters in that book and she wasn't really one I had that close an eye on during my read. From what I remember, she's one of Bao-yu's cousins who lives in the garden with him, and eventually runs away to become a nun when the family starts falling into decline. (mirroring Bao-yu running away to become a monk for the same reasons.) I'm probably missing stuff I'll catch when I go out to reread the book, but based on how she's depicted here it gives me more of an idea about what themes of dotrc they're pushing for canto 8.

They're for sure emphasizing the familial abuse and how fucked up the jia family is. It almost reads like all of the siblings are in competition with each other (building "factions"). and Hong Lu has said his siblings have attempted to kill him before.

Hong Lu has been like this, which lines up with his book equivalent of Bao-yu, who is notorious for being childish/naive and not necessarily working within the pre established rules and conventions set up by his family. I'm curious how he's managed to survive this long with the jias a lot more willing to Kill Eachother.

"My most amicable sibling" fucks me up so much. what the hell is this family's deal man. I'm really curious about this line, because xichun is not a sibling but a cousin in the book. I'm curious what's gonna happen with Bao-chai and Dai-yu in Limbus because it's very challenging to adapt this story without those two. Dai-yu in Dotrc is one of the characters Bao-yu feels most comfortable being himself around. Generally, the female characters in DOTRC are better people than the male ones, and Bao-yu spends most of his time with the girls as a result. I'm curious how/if they'll adapt this because it's a pretty big thing in the book and they serve as an escape for Bao-yu from dealing with the nightmare that is people like his father. I feel if it was happening, they'd probably write Xichun a little kinder, but I don't know nearly enough to make any sort of call yet. Absolutely TERRIFIED (positive. this is a good thing) for what PM is cooking.

•When he first thinks about having kids with you he’s over the moon excited but then the longer he thinks about it the more nervous he gets. He does want a baby but he already feels bad for dragging you along and putting you in danger, and he’s got a bit of a self-loathing streak (he makes me so sad) so he’ll probably slow down and try to convince you to wait until he stops his brother to have a family

•The other thing is he’s also not even sure if it’s possible, plant and human hybrid??? It’s never been done, not that he’s not eventually down for trying

In fact Vash gets a bit nervous when his other little girl takes on so many personality traits of his older brother, he stresses about it a bit, not that he didn’t love Nai but he doesn’t want history to repeat itself. Luckily he has you by his side, every time he lets his thoughts run wild, he watches the way you so gently parent the twins...he takes a small breath of relief. He feels in a way...he failed his brother but this is different, this time it’ll be okay

•Wolfwood loves kids so it’s natural he’d want some of his own especially if it’s with you

•Thing is slightly similar to Vash he’d be a bit reluctant to have kids right now. He’s got a lot on his plate and he also has a bit of a self-loathing streak (Trigun Boys x therapy) he isn’t sure he deserves to start a family with someone as good as you

•When you do start a family Nick goes from 0-100 real fast, and by that I mean he goes from being protective to guard dog mode 24/7 but can you blame him? He’s seen how dangerous the world is he’ll die before he let’s anything happen to you or his unborn child

•Your first kid is a little girl, one that grows up to be...a little too much like her father. Sarcasm is her default speech and she’s a little headstrong, but very protective of her family

•Now I don’t see enough people talking about this but??? Wolfwood??? would for sure want to adopt a kid??? He grew up in an orphanage, so of course your second kid was adopted. As much as he loves your daughter he knows how much the kids at the orphanage need a good home, so you welcome in a little boy. One that's a bit timid and shy and reminds Wolfwood all too much of little Livio when he was young, safe to say it pulls on his heartstrings

•The last kid is the baby! Your daughter and son are a bit older and the third was admittedly a bit of an accident, not an unwelcomed one, but not planned. Either way Nick is happy about it (plus he’s really good at taking care of babies) In all you tie off your happy little family with three kids (four if you count Nick lol)

•Wolfwood is a good dad though. Also, he’s the kid's favorite, so expect to get jealous when, after school, all the kids run into his arms. Don’t expect condolences either this man will look up at you, all the kids in his arms, and give you the biggest shit-eating grin, too...the bastard.

Would he want kids? Yes if you take care of them lmao

•Okay so unlike Vash and Wolfwood, Knives sees himself as an apex, so he can protect you and his kids from anything, if he decides he wants kids he doesn’t feel the need to wait

•The only thing is...it’s cannon. He’s got a thing for impregnation, right? But you have to realize this is for Plants, plant children aren’t like human children (or in this case plant/human children?) they grow a lot faster, understand a lot quicker, and he’s not the most...nurturing guy in the world. 

 •So buckle up because you’ll be in charge of most of the children's care! Don’t worry too much though, if you ask for something he’ll provide it so you won’t ever need to stress about not having anything. 

•During the pregnancy he’s fiercely protective over you, keeping you in his private wing in a plush bed. Only letting Legato help take care of you and Conrad whos in charge of your check-ups

•Now honestly I’m not sure how many kids he’d have, so I see one of two options

•option one, an only child. One that he has you raise then begins to take more under his wing as he or she grows up. A child that's, in a way, the heir of everything Nai has built, one that will grow to be as strong as their father (with hopefully a bit more care thanks to you)

•option two, lots of children. Once he sees you pregnant the first time...well, he likes you like that, might as well keep you like that all the time, right? Besides don’t you want to continue his legacy?

•Either way he does like love his children, he just has a hard time showing it. He tries to show he cares though I mean, you’ve seen how he is with Vash. Honestly, I think it’s easier for your kids to understand their father's affections since their half-plant gives them a better insight, you know? (if you mess with them it’s literally the quickest way to die though so it’s not like they aren’t under his care still)

•Livio 100% wants kids with you, he’s a gentle giant and a soft soul at heart. He wants nothing more than to settle down with you and have a couple little feet running around.

•This man is so patient and so caring with you. He’s also a little scared he’ll hurt you once you’re pregnant. I mean, look at you!!! You’re so cute! Waddling around all that baby weight, what if he crushes you? or bumps into you and hurts the baby? What do you mean that's not how that works?

•Despite his worries you welcome a happy healthy baby girl, who he’s still a little apprehensive about hurting at first but once you guide him through holding the little bundle of joy he’ll settle a bit

•So you have your first little girl, and after about a year you decide to try for another. You and Livio decide you want to try to have one boy and one girl, the only thing is...you have another little girl! But that's okay! Because a year after that you try again...and have another little girl. Livio accepts his fate after that.

•all jokes! Livio really does love his little girls to death, he doesn’t really care if he has a little boy or not, besides it’s endlessly hilarious to come home and see this hulk of a man surrounded by three little girls, one of which has dressed him up in a pink tutu so he can attend her royal tea party, another using her cheap kid make up to make him “the prettiest girl at the ball” while she smears eyeshadow on his face and another one yet pulling what hair he has into multiple little pigtails. 

•Now I do have one small headcannon that only applies if you are in a relationship with both Livio and Razlo. If you are in a relationship with both the boys then Razlo sees the girls as his kids but not his kids if that makes sense...as in he helps raise them as his own but he doesn’t feel like he in particular made them you know?

•Razlo will probably ask if he can try for one kid with you (if you know what I mean) and you'll end up with one more kid, your youngest, and of course...it’s a boy! Razlo will never let Livio live this down, he will tease Livio about this fact forever. “What like it was hard?” “Shut up Razlo” 

Razlo

Does he want kids? Maybe?

•Razlos was a little on the fence about kids at first. He’s spent his life training, protecting, killing. As cocky as he acts he isn’t sure he’d be a good dad.

•Once he gets more settled into his life not constantly fighting he’ll start to consider it though, because Razlo does like kids it’s just...he spent his whole life protecting Livio he had just never really considered the fact he might one day have a family of his own

•When you’re pregnant he follows you around like a puppy, his broad form is like a large shadow keeping a watchful eye over your smaller form. Unlike Livio though he’s a little less scared of his strength, in fact he likes to use it to his advantage, why waste his gift right? So expect him to try to carry you around everywhere. Also don’t even think about lifting anything, that’s what he’s for!

•As mentioned in Livios, if you are in a relationship with both Razlo and Livio, then Razlo will only really try to get you pregnant once all of Livio's kids are born. He’s content with raising all the girls and one little boy. (Razlo also gets swept up into the parties. He puts up a bit more of a fight and complains a bit more than Livio does, but he loves them, so he deals with it.) 

•As for his little boy he tries to get him into more traditionally masculine things so he can have a break from playing princess but he’s actually very accepting of whatever his kids want to do. If his little boy ends up liking the stuff he does? Great! If he doesn’t and just wants to join his sisters? Also great! I mean, he’s a little less thrilled there are now four sets of hands hastily applying lipstick to his face, but that’s life. (Jokes on him, it ends up being one of the little girls who’s a little tomboy. “papa Razlo? can we go catch bugs?” “Oh thank god yes let’s go”) 

•But!!! If you are in a relationship with just Razlo then it’s a bit different. He’ll probably end up with two kids, both boys. The first boy is a lot like him, very loud, blunt, and protective. He’s also a bit of a trouble maker and it doesn’t help that Razlo is a bit of a yes man which ends in both of them with their heads bowed while you scold them

•Your younger one is a bit more of a gentle soul. A lot more shy, more of an introvert and defiantly glued to you in his younger years. Razlo doesn’t 100% understand his interest as he gets older but he does try, in fact his shy nature reminds him a lot of Livio which makes him a bit protective of your youngest. In all he ends up being a great dad

Does he want kids? No.

•Now listen, you need to understand, this man did not have a good childhood, in fact he didn’t have a childhood.

•He doesn’t have any experience with kids and the way he was treated as a child...yeah he’s got a lot of trauma around the whole concept of children as a whole, and honestly it’d have to be pretty far in your relationship for him to even be willing to be physical enough with you to even have the chance to conceive a kid.    

•So no he doesn’t want kids. 

•But let's say accidents happen and somehow the two of you are a bit careless and you end up pregnant 

•oh boy are you ready? Because Legato makes me really sad. He’d be a bit distant during your pregnancy, he doesn’t really know how to feel about all this, he never imagined himself as a father and now...

•When your baby is first born (a little boy) you’re going to have to do all the care. It’s rough but honestly with his trauma? He’d be scared to death to touch his kid. He’s paranoid. He knows what he went through and he’s scared. What if he hurts his kid? What if the same thing happens to him? In reality he’d never and I mean never hurt his kid but it’s common for this kind of paranoia in victims of the type of abuse Legato suffered.

•It’s a rough couple of first years, but after some reassurance (and therapy! Please get this man therapy!) He slowly comes around. No matter what though he’s protective. Like I said he knows how cruel humanity can be, and even in the first years with his paranoia he’ll be damned if anyone hurts his little boy. In fact he might go a bit overboard and refuse to let anyone even touch him or pick him up besides you

•Once he settles in though...it’s not so bad. He slowly warms up to him, admittedly it’s a bit rocky at first. To your little boy, Legato is a bit of a stranger living in the same house as him since Legato refuses to let himself get too close, but give it time, and they’ll slowly bond.

“Maybe...I could give you some of my favorite books? Would you like that?”

•Don’t worry!!! The two end up okay. Despite the less-than-ideal start, Legato gains more confidence the more he interacts with his son. Especially since they have a lot of the same interests. At the end of the day, Legato realizes something, he wants to give his kid the childhood he never got to have.

HOWEVER!! i can definitely say it well exceeded my expectations! for me svt comebacks just kept getting bigger and better since attacca, and honestly the pre-cb hype and General Good Vibes we were getting from that era just kept getting carried over their more recent releases! i'm glad there's that kind of energy (on my end at least) with their cbs!! and honestly, i'm so so happy to see them getting the recognition their unceasing hard work deserves. they're not a loud group, if that makes sense (like, when u ask ppl outside of korea abt kpop groups they most likely would not mention svt off the bat), but they really are so stable and they're only consistently getting bigger not only because of all the work, but also because of how well they just treat carats as well. it really does feel like we're a team to a certain extent 🥹

tracklist wise, i'm generally pleased with all of them tbh <33 also liking FML (the title track) a lot more than i expected!!! i was expecting to like it the least ngl, but not bc she's a shite track but the Sound we got from the medley just wasn't what i usually gravitate to. i expected it to be 'FML 👹' and not 'fml 😔' based on what theyve been saying tbh NDNJDJD i also fucking LOOOVE fire so much, as a noise enjoyer she's my top song rn <33 i really appreciate how they gave us a more varied sound this time around (while still being cohesive), and i really think they were able to highlight each unit's strengths so well. Like, whenever the Reader has any interaction with Batman, Slade’s running faster than any speedster to cockblock the Dark Knight from successfully adopting his kid. Also, love the idea of the Reader having nothing else better to do with their time than to take up being Deathstroke’s apprentice. Sometimes it just seems a little too real the jealousy that is it seems all too real. Right now is a prime example Riri holds your hand as you both get yourselves some ice cream you've been feeling a little vulnerable due to your recent breakup. It was bad. Riri was ready to fight when she heard about it she almost did but you didn't want her involved she has better stuff to do better things to distract herself with. Regardless, this does not stop the girl from coming up to you and trying to get lucky "hey what's your name?" You look at you and Riri's intertwined fingers feeling as she tightens her grip. Riri is right of course you ain't ready for another relationship the last one broke you although sometimes she could be weird and fucked up and possessive she was almost never in the wrong. She knocks on your door hastily and you, of course, open it "I'm sorry" are the first words out of her mouth as she gives you the semi-melted ice cream you can't help but laugh to yourself for a moment.

You could never stay mad at Riri she's your whole heart your best friend your partner in crime. You take the melted ice cream cone and welcome her inside "I love you Riri I hope you know that but you've been odd recently what's that all about? It's like you're actually in love with me. You could be one hell of an actor." She nods and mumbles to herself I love you you just can't open your eyes wide enough to see that "I have to ask myself sometimes damn does Riri like me?" Riri pauses in her actions to look at you but you're too busy eating your ice cream to see her face full of worry and concern. That was a rhetorical question, right? you don't notice Riri is shaken until you hear her choked laugh "It ain't that I'm just afraid some new girl might come and sweep you up and you ain't gone be my girl no more." Riri's voice wavers as she speaks to you and you place your ice cream cone on the table which you would never do if it weren't important you grab Riri in a hug and kiss her forehead "hey I'm not going nowhere I promise" Riri nods slowly when you pull away from the hug she looks at you and you wipe her face. "Stop crying I love you" Riri nods and smiles. underrated fics of 2021 + 2022

ok so yes i did a masterlist of my fav fics of 2021/2022 but i wanted to end the year w some fics from 2021/2022 that, in my opinion, are underrated! as a smaller writer, i know how discouraging it can be to see lots of popular writers/fics on everyones’ lists all the time, but never see yours. & that’s no one’s fault! but i wanted to balance it all out a bit w this. just a friendly reminder that not getting many hits, kudos, comments, etc is not an indicator of your talent !!! write something because you want to & it makes you happy -- you’ll find your audience along the way!

i actually didn’t read a ton of fics that came out this year (i was surprised before i remembered that i work in retail & we’ve been short staffed the majority of the year & i pet sit on the side & am a student .... makes sense that i wasn’t able to read nearly as many fics as i wanted to lol.) so i’m incorporating some fics from 2021 as well, just like i did w my previous list & managed to compile a list of my top 15 underrated fics :)

ok so yes i also betaed this fic bc annika is wonderful to work w but i genuinely recommend this one as well. the psychology major in me is obsessed w the dark & twisted plot twists & the ending. i loathe miscommunication used as a plot device (in some fics, it’s understandable, in others it’s used an excuse to create unnecessary angst, but. i digress) & i cannot tell you how relieved i was when i saw that there was an opening to use miscommunication to create more angst & annika instead decided to throw in communication that was healthy yet understandably withdrawn. the bittersweet ending always gets me conflicted bc like i want a happy ending??? but it’s so good & absolutely makes sense for the fic??? i could go on forever.

Summary: You never thought of gaining anything more than a bit of real world experience when you applied for an internship with local police, assisting on the case of Jack Nelson. Instead you gain an obsession with a dangerous, but seductive criminal.

Author's Note: This is a combination of a story idea I had after doing a moodboard for Jack Nelson x criminology student AND a request by a lovely anon who suggested Jack's S/O was turned on by watching him commit a crime. Events of S4 and S6 are combined/misrepresented here. Set in Birmingham but ended up w/ an American film noir vibe.

Your internship with the police department hadn’t started as well as you had hoped. Your first day you were treated like a forgotten houseplant, left to gather dust in the corner of the office. You tried to be proactive, offering assistance to the detectives around you, but you were quickly rebuffed and asked to return to your desk to file mountains of paperwork. Worried this would be a huge disappointment, you began counting the days you had left. You couldn’t have known then that your life would soon be complicated by the arrival of a mysterious American.

After two weeks of mind numbing boredom, you walked into work to find a flurry of activity. Much to your surprise, you were asked to sit in on a meeting. However, you were warned not to discuss the details of anything you heard as this was an ongoing murder investigation. You sat at the back of the room as detectives discussed the prime suspect, Jack Nelson.

The lights dimmed and slides with grainy surveillance images flashed before you of a handsome man in his early thirties. As his details were read aloud, you began to make a few notes, feeling your curiosity grow. He had killed at least one man, making the murder look like a suicide. Luca Changretta was a rival gang member from America, killed while in the UK to do business with the Shelby family.

Jack Nelson fit the description of a sociopath. He was charming, intelligent and cocky. He knew he was untouchable and taunted police, daring them to catch him. His file said he was often seen in the company of beautiful women and that he liked expensive luxuries, traveling in style from America to the UK and Europe for his business ventures. He was also well connected to highly influential people, including American and British politicians. He had even met with the President of the United States, which you found highly impressive.

As the days went by, a few leads came in, but nothing serious. Having little else to occupy your time, you worked tirelessly doing your own research, but it was difficult. Mr. Nelson was obviously good at covering his tracks. His import/export business seemed mostly legal and anyone who had ever suggested otherwise was now conveniently dead. However, not all ties had been severed as you discovered when the infamous Arthur Shelby was brought in for questioning on unrelated drug charges.

High on junk, Arthur revealed he’d seen Jack Nelson at a party talking to another Shelby associate, Billy Grade, recently. That was all he would confirm with his lawyer present, however. Everyone in Birmingham knew the Shelby family dealt in all manner of illegal activities, but they were protected by the head of the family, Thomas Shelby, MP OBE. Luckily, you wouldn't need Arthur's cooperation for anything more. The police finally had a solid lead they could pursue. 

Your role would soon expand as police needed your help making contact with Billy Grade. Surveillance had revealed Nelson was meeting with him again. Knowing how cautious he was, Nelson would sniff out a copper miles away, but if they sent you posing as a prostitute, you could deliver messages to and from Billy without issue. No one in the underworld of Small Heath would bat an eye.

That’s how you became more than an intern. Your life as an undercover special started the next week with a bit of training. It was a dangerous job, but one that ignited a passion in you you’d never felt before.

As you were getting ready to leave for the agreed upon location, your hands shook as you tried to fasten your earrings. What if you weren’t able to go through with it? What if something happened to you and your parents never found out? Too many questions raced through your mind.

Then the image of Jack Nelson flashed before you. There was something alluring about him that you couldn’t quite place. You knew he was a cold blooded killer so you tried to push any thoughts of his handsome features from your mind, but the attraction remained stubbornly implanted in your subconscious. You hoped the distraction was your mind’s way of keeping you from thinking about the harm you faced if he caught you, but you weren’t so certain. 

When you arrived at the hotel where you agreed to meet Billy, you walked briskly through the lobby only to hear someone call out to you, “Miss, please wait! There’s a phone call for you.” You circled back to the front desk somewhat surprised by the interruption. Taking the phone in your hand with a puzzled look, you answered hesitantly, “Hello?”

“Finally get the pleasure of speaking with the girl who’s trying to set me up. How are you, doll?” A low voice drawled over the phone. The crystal clear connection allowed his voice to slice through you, sending a tingle down your spine.

 “Who is this and what do you want?” you asked cupping your hand around the phone so no one else would hear. Slowly turning in a circle, you tried without success to locate anyone watching you.

“Easy, there curious little pussycat. Just thought I should warn you not to play games that are out of your league,” he cooed. The threat was real, but you could hear the smirk in his voice. “I've been watching you for awhile now. You’re a cute kid. I’d hate to see you get hurt.”

Boldness returning to you with a sudden shock of adrenaline, you answered, “You’ve got it all wrong, Mr. Nelson.  I think you’re the one who ought to be careful. You've left evidence all over this city and we will find you," you bluffed, gulping at your own audacity to challenge such a powerful man.

He chuckled darkly obviously thrilled by your feistiness, “We’ll see about that, won’t we? Cause I've already found you. The things I'd do to you, doll face. Well...you've seen my work.” Then you heard the click of the receiver as he hung up the phone on his end.

You could barely sleep that night knowing that Jack Nelson might be watching your flat at that very moment. How long had he been tailing you, you wondered. You questioned whether or not you wanted to continue helping with the investigation. However, something told you not to give up. Perhaps it was eagerness to prove yourself professionally, but you also knew it sprung from a deeper, darker place inside you that kept replaying the sultry sound of Jack’s voice over and over again like a record. 

At the insistence of the detectives, you were sent out to make contact again three days later. A new location was chosen in a different part of town. Great efforts were taken to ensure you weren’t followed and you were reassured many times that Nelson and his associates would not find you. As added protection, two detectives were assigned to watch the building from a parked car outside and you were confident nothing could possibly go wrong.

However, from the moment you stepped from the cab, the evening felt forboding. Fog was beginning to roll in, obscuring your view of the entrance to the hotel where you were meeting Billy. To reassure yourself, you bent down to adjust the seams of your stockings one last time and checked your garter for the knife you’d stashed there. As your hand brushed the cool metal, you took a deep breath knowing if things went badly you had a way to defend yourself.

Running to cross the street, your red beaded dress shook and shimmied. It was perfect for the part you were playing, dipping low in the front to reveal a bit too much cleavage. You noticed the doorman look you up and down suggestively as you passed and you ducked your head, heels clicking past him on your way to the front desk. As you took the hotel key and made your way upstairs, you felt the familiar rush of doing something dangerous and forbidden. You hated to admit to yourself how addictive it was becoming.

You opened the door to the room slowly, clicking it shut softly behind you. Just as you reached for the light, you heard an unsettling noise. There was a scuffle of shoes and tightening of leather. A man's ragged breaths were followed by a thick gurgling sound. Just as the red lights from the sign across the street poured through the window, it illuminated Jack's tall form holding Billy's lifeless body, blood spilling from an open wound across his neck.

You stood staring, mesmerized by the scene. You'd read plenty about violent crime, but never witnessed anything like this. It was indescribable the fear and awe intertwined. He was nothing short of godlike standing there over his vanquished foe and you were intoxicated by his power over another. Unable to stop yourself, you couldn't look away from the sight of a man who could do anything he wished.

You hadn't realized the gasp you let out until Jack was turning toward you. He lowered the body to the ground where he stood.

“You’re too late,” he said walking toward you slowly, removing his black leather gloves one finger at a time and discarding them on the ground. They were stained with blood and he didn’t want to taint you with it. However, as he stepped over the dead body and the widening river of blood that separated you, he noticed an unmistakable hunger emanating from you. 

Your half closed eyes drank him in lustfully. It was hard to miss as you toyed with your necklace and bit your bottom lip suggestively. You swallowed harshly as Jack came to stand over you, towering above you and grasping your chin in his hand. He squinted his eyes at you in disbelief, “Are you getting turned on by this doll?” You nodded slowly before pushing up on your toes to kiss him hard, hands struggling to push off his heavy overcoat to feel his broad shoulders.

He gripped you painfully by your waist and buried his head in your neck, sucking a bruise into you before leaving a love bite right next to it. As you raked your long nails through his hair, his head traveled south into your cleavage and inhaled your perfume deeply.  You palmed him through his trousers feeling him getting hard beneath your skillful touch and he let out a shaky breath at the delicious feeling.

Knowing he had to regain control, he yanked your hand away and shoved you into a nearby wall. Wrapping a hand around your throat and squeezing slightly, he chuckled darkly, “You just couldn’t stay away, could you? Too damn curious, aren’t you, pussycat?”

Unfazed by his question you answered breathlessly, "I'm not afraid anymore." You placed your hand over his and began stroking along his arm. Jack leaned forward to rest his forehead against yours for a moment, "I bet you think you've got nine lives, don't you? What makes you think I won't do the same thing to you?" he said glancing back at the body on the floor.

His hands roamed your body possessively, squeezing you tightly and raking his nails over your skin before coming to rest over your soft thigh. Your breath hitched for a moment when he found the blade you had concealed beneath the lace garter. He unsheathed the weapon, bringing it to his line of sight to study it carefully before turning it on you suddenly. His voice lowered an octave as he brought the blade to your throat and asked,  “You feel that, baby? The electricity in your veins? Is that the thrill you were after, huh?”

Your pulse quickened beneath his touch, heart pounding against your rib cage with a rush of emotion that was unlike anything you’d ever felt. Your eyes flicked to his and you noticed his pupils were blown wide. Jack was making you come alive and you knew you were doing the same for him. You licked your lips and hummed in satisfaction, “I know you won't kill me because you want me as much as I want you,” you said, rubbing your thighs together. 

He smirked at your wanton response, moving the blade to your shoulder and you held your breath when you felt him slice the strap of your dress. Strings popped and beads scattered noisily along the wooden floor. Jack huffed out a sigh of satisfaction as he tossed the knife aside. Turning back to his work, he ripped at the delicate fabric to reveal your breasts to the cool air and more beads went skittering as Jack made no mistake about his intention of ruining you.

He massaged your breasts in his hands roughly as he captured your lips with brutal force, smearing your red lipstick in the process. In his growing need for you, he spun you around to face the wall, placing a few hard slaps to your ass as you pushed yourself out toward him. Hello!! I recently got Tumblr after I read some of your love-sick sal fics and DAMN you got me trapped now senpai >////<

So here's my gush about Sal and Larry because I love both of those ghost hunter bffs

So first Sal. Where do I even start? Sally is such an interesting character and I love his concept alone!! The execution? Mwah -3- He's a little femboy but can also be so badass! Me being an absolute SUCKER for Yanderes I can't even begin to describe how much potential he has, but you already showed lots of it!! Sal is definitely the stalker type that collects everything. A little to weak to kidnap right of the bat, but he has that possibility in mind for emergencies. He definitely has journal after journal with drawings, notes and scenarios of Sal and his obsession lover~ He's definitely delusional about the relationship they share. I love to imagine that he'll play into anything his lover wants. Kinks? "Weird" habits? Hobbies? He's definitely into all of it if it means he can be with his lovely Y/N! And I LOVE that devotion so so so SO much!! He definitely isn't the type to force the darling to change but rather changes himself and that's a whole other level of being yandere, let me tell you that! Overall Sal/10 would buy again! Never been happier to have a delusional masked boi chilling outside my window ;D

Now, Larry. DAMN THE DUDE IS STRONG. And he also has connections where he can get drugs from? He'd definitely kidnap as soon as he sees a little danger and I'M ALL HERE FOR IT!! He's kinda the opposite of Sal which I kinda love! Well, sure, they share same interests, but I mean that while Sal is weak and timid (a little of a push-over when it comes to love but not in a bad way c;), Larry is a muscly dude who knows what he wants, but often only wants to chill (which I totally respect). Larry's yandere potential is also pretty high. I mean, he literally lives in the basement with pretty thick walls. It wouldn't be hard to hide a person there, plus he can also drug them if they get too noisy (nothing too dangerous or addicting though, he only wants them to relax a little). I imagine him being super soft though once darling gets Stockholm syndrome comfy! He isn't as delusional as Sal but honestly, he doesn't care. He just takes what he wants and DAMN IT I LOVE IT >//////< Larry/10 would buy again! Never have I been happier being in a basement smoking weed than U am now ;D

And Double Trouble? Let's keep it short.

>His PASSION 👌👌👌 he loves and feels so deeply and he can't seem to keep it contained. Sal is used to masking his feelings lol but Larry has to express himself, whether he's happy or angry or moved. His love might be intense to the point of smothering, but it's pretty nice once you get used to it~ 💘
