What if Homelander was dating a woman who had a ranch, along with some of the usual animals (Horses, chickens, and other various livestock), and she offered to teach him how to take care of the animals. I imagine he would be taken aback by something so mundane, but oblige and go with it. Maybe she's teach him how to ride a horse, and giggle at all of the little mistakes he makes, like approaching a horse too suddenly from behind and getting kicked.
