In this Au, Spider!(Y/N) is a temp-worker and delivery girl. Just an odd young gal doing jobs around Gotham, ordinary and sweet.

She has a multiverse-watch, handmade specifcally for her by Miguel. Being one of his first recruits to the Spider Society, yet with the new Multiverse-Canon she's stuck in, the watch forms within her body to make it more acceptable to deal within the world.

Spider!(Y/N) doesn't know Batman's idenitiy, and funny enough. He doesn't know hers, in the beginning. I'd like to think maybe down the line there's a possibility! I just think it's silly-er.

I'd like to think the dynamic between the two is Batman served as a comedic foil to Spider!(Y/N). Sorta, "brooding guy-and happy guy". Also, I like to point out, they can both can be silly in their own ways!

Just them figuring it out with Batman is hilarious in itself.

Biting into the dish, you beam in joy! It tasted so sweet! And.. Tangy, with a bit of sour. Invested with the tasty dish, you fail to notice the striking blue eyes glancing at you from a distance. Naively standing alone in your waiter uniform as you nibble on the treat.

I'd never seen this 2016 interview with Michel Koch before, here's some new things I learned:

One idea that got cut is that Nathan has psychic powers and also had a vision of the tornado (an unused line that hints at this is in the trailer for ep 4)

Voice recordings happened early in the game development process. Re-recording lines would've been expensive so the developers added more lines than they needed and decided later which ones to use. This is why there are so many unused lines in the game files.

One ending of lis 1 is shorter not because of budget cuts but simply because the song they chose (Obstacles) was shorter. 😂

As opposed to a lot of fan theories - almost nothing was cut because of budget issues. The game and story is "extremely close" to how they imagined it from the start. This includes the 'hospital ending' which was cut for story reasons.

One scene that almost got cut because of budget issues was Kate's hospital scene. But Dontnod saw how much fans loved Kate and worked overtime to add this scene to ep 4. 🫶

Writer Christian Divine wrote the line about "Final Fantasy: Spirits Within' being one of the best science fiction movies ever made" for Max because it happens to be one of his favorite sci-fi movies. This was not a push by Square Enix, in fact they questioned whether it should be in the game or not because it would look like they asked for it. 😂

bullock ships it know whats up. meanwhile, gordon is like 🤷‍♂️ 'idk, they look like sworn enemies to me'. so what if batman apprehends him very weirdly.

(one of very lovely an’ endearing btas crane’s features for me, always gonna be how he’s a complete twerp compared to his comic counterparts. he’s not only hella scrawny, but he’s also pretty short too.

comic crane build like a pencil compared to bruce, but btas jon is this, but a small version. a real gremlin, where in the comics, he's a goblin.

him being smaller have it's +. for one, he's easier to throw around an’ manhandle. or in this case, i kinda just thought ‘hey, bruce will have no problem to just place him in his laps’. jonathan is cuddly sized for the bat. gotta abuse this advantage to the max. he can catch him this way, or can hold him too… 

an’ look at that, it might lead to one of those few *rare, very rare* times, when jon will attempt to be comforting. he sucks at this, but he does show a shine of sympathy, if he's in the mood for that. but yeah, he would only do it, when batman is all sad an’ down. if he was scared, it’s another story. 

depressed bat makes crane feel some sort of way he hates. he won’t dare to call it anything, but he would rather them do smth less…..this. being held is nice tho. so he tolerates it, telling himself that it's fine just this one time. but then, casually tolerates *basks in* it every damn time from that point on, while using the same excuse… 

he can be regal like that lol.  

an’ speaking of regal…….

i always loved, when the bat tried to catch the scarecrow for a second time in ‘nothing to fear’, an’ jon talks to him in an odd manner. almost like a teacher would speak with a student. bruce’s slightly shameful an’ vulnerable expression is everything in that scene, esp when jon stands on the upper row of stairs looking at him. the tides shift later on, naturally. but even as a kid, it was fun to see batman being kinda humbled by some short, weird guy in a potato sack. 

like, jon is so funnily rude an’ ‘argh’ through the whole ep, it’s hard not to cherish, that batman had to put up with it. the way jonathan abused his henchmen is also smth else. he literally re-broke the dude's nose, while calling him names lol. i just wish, that besides ‘lock up’, we had managed to see other sides of him, which clearly existed. love him being a rude ass almost all the time too tho, bc it suits him. an’ it’s a fun difference compared to comic crane, whose spitefulness is usually more emotionally loaded an’ childish. btas crane feels like a proper antisocial sociopath, than anythin’. but like any good sociopath, he has that one person, who he fancy *even if in a strange fashion*. so, batman has a chance to see it all, once he gets past the cold shoulder phase. 

in their case *btas universe*, i picture that jon’s wary ‘get out of my way’ fashion in which he deals with bruce, would essentially build up into proper obsession, where terrifying him is less of a curious experiment an’ method of eliminating him, but also like….he legit wanna know what batman fears. what he sees. how jon affects him an' if it affects his every-day life. fights with him getting more personal an' more crucial.

from that bit, i was wondering what jonathan might have thought about times, when batman hung out with justice league. an’ if there was a villain, who he would feel envious of. an’ idk, doctor destiny came to mind. he’s not like fear-themed villain even per say, but he can control dreams, which is scary in itself. so jon *naturally for him* assuming that dr. destiny went after batman’s fears an’ gave him nightmares. which would instantly make him possessive an’ jealous lol. it’s his an’ bat’s thing! it fully escapes crane, that batman…doesn't ever prefer whatever villain he's fighting. not in way, where he thinks that he bonds with them over being tormented lol. i mean, he kinda does it with jonathan to a degree, but he'd rather they did it in more normal way.

regardless, bruce will have to tell him, that nope, like dr. destiny totally sucks compared to the scarecrow. mostly bc if he won’t, jon might make so, that dr. destiny won’t breathe air ever again lol.)

Banana fish re-review ~

I did a rewatch of banana fish and oh my God I forgot how good this series was. Considering the original manga came out in the 80's in JAPAN, it was SO ahead of its time. One of the best depictions of gay characters I've ever seen in Japanese media, even by today's standards.

Some more silly thoughts:

Like yoshida just casually dropped a manga with an insanely progressive take on the bl genre by showing a complex queer interracial relationship with incredibly well-written characters. Honestly the fact that ash and eiji's relationship wasn't explicitly defined as romantic is a plus imo. Not being able to rely on obvious romantic gestures like kissing, hand-holding, romantic confessions, etc. actually forces the writer to develop their relationship without that crutch to lean on. That's why ash and eiji's relationship is so good, because it doesn't rely on surface-level romance to get across the fact that they love each other and instead use subtlety and little nuances in their interactions. It's obvious from the subtext and how much they're shown to care for each other.

Not to mention the great depiction of black characters (I know portraying black characters non-offensively is like, the bare minimum, but may I remind you this is the EIGHTIES in JAPAN, and there are so many CURRENT animes that have an issue with it).

I mean yea does it have its flaws? Sure. Ash's admittedly very lame "lynx" title that comes with many wildcat metaphors, eiji being a bit passive in the first half, sort of cringe portrayal of America, etc. but my God the way she handles the trauma and character dynamics is incredible.

Ok so I did have a uh... Not really a criticism but something that I noticed that got me thinking. I feel like some shows use dark subject matter as a bit of an easy way to evoke an emotional reaction from the audience. Sometimes authors give characters horrible backstories as a way to make the audience THINK the character is complex and interesting but in reality it's a bit of a lazy writing tactic. Low effort high reward kind of thing. Banana fish obviously does have brutal subject matter and ash is really put through the ringer, but I love that yoshida doesn't let that become the axis of his character. He has trauma that greatly impacts him, but he's also super developed on his own apart from that. When I think about Ash's character, I don't immediately think about the traumatic backstory parts. The balance between how significantly the trauma affects him vs making sure that's not the ONLY part of his character is extremely well-executed.

Scenes that stuck out to me (not including asheiji ones bc it goes without saying theyre all amazing)

- the interrogator playing Ash's tapes after being arrested ("later, movie star" was the most brutal line ever omg)

- max burning the photos of ash (underrated moment this was SO good),

- any and all interactions between sing and blanca (they're such an unlikely duo peak comedy right there)

- the convo between sing and yut lung in the last episode

- ash stabbing the guy in the dick with a fork

- callback to ^^^, ash stabbing the banana with a fork

- Ash's breakdown in front of dino (ep 19 I believe)

- the entirety of ash escaping from the "mental hospital" and then having to go rescue ibe and max lmaooo

- ash brutally murdering Abraham(?, the redhead guy) by blowing abt a thousand holes in him w a machine gun as payback for shorter

- ash shooting shorter

- running joke of max being Ash's dad

- everyone constantly manhandling yut lung by yanking on his hair (dude get a haircut)

- ash immediately going to shoot himself no hesitation after yut lung told him he wouldn't hurt eiji if he did so (technically asheiji but I'm keeping it since this was a yut lung and ash scene)

- "what does this picture look like?" "Your wife"

- eiji's cute stupid little outfit he wore when he went to go find shorter in Chinatown

I also have a confession:

I LOVE yut lung. Him being paralleled with ash, but instead of finding love he let hate consume him because he had no one unlike ash who had eiji was just devastating but in a good way.

So yea those are my messy thoughts after finishing it. I'd argue that it was probably one of the best pieces of queer media to exist at the time. In the world. And one of my personal favorite pieces of queer media ever.

before there was daisy evergreen, there was small town college drop-out esther hearst, releasing original music on youtube on her account under the name @daisyfordays, after her middle name. sweet, bubblegum dance pop made in her bedroom. overnight, one of her tracks blew up - the bedroom-made song and music video for american kids began showing up in people's recommended pages and before they knew it, the song has over a million views and people asking for it to be uploaded to itunes. esther made the decision to release all of the songs he had written so far onto one ep, titled bubblebath under the name DAISY - all capitals. the ep gained traction on social media websites like twitter and tumblr, both for the music and for daisy's strange behavior - her robotic & stiff way of moving, her emotionless voice & the random things she'd post to social. she found it strange that people seemed to be so amused by the way she acted, considering it wasn't really an act - just esther when she allowed herself to not mask her autistic traits.

a year after the comfortable success of bubblebath, daisy was reached out by a record label to work on her first full studio album - am i a girl?. the album contained the same pop sound her fans expected, but the track 'X' was a pop-metal fusion - an inclusion that confused fans, reviewers and the label alike, but daisy refused to have the song taken off the album. the album also acted as her coming out - both as gender non-confirming with the title track, but as a lesbian with the song 'girls in bikinis' which gained tiktok traction and helped boost her mainstream success. the album was released under the stage name daisy evergreen, and so has all of her following discography.

while her name on paper may be esther - don't think you can get away with calling them that unless you're at a family event. esther and daisy are two separate people in her mind, and she likes to keep it that way.

in 2021, daisy's fans watched in confused as she dropped a surprise ep titled; EAT. the reason for the confusion; it was a heavy metal album. beyond the surprise metal section of X, daisy had never shown an interest in the genre. but esther had always loved metal - she had never grown out of her angsty teen phase in regards to music. so now that she had a label to back her up, they felt able to experiment with the music they made.

EAT was a success, breaking daisy into the metal scene and getting her some gigs at metal & punk festivals in the states and lead her to begin her first headlining tour n north america; the AM I A GIRL? tour.

since shifting to pop-metal fusion, daisy's gone on to release two more studio albums - with the song 'BLOODMONEY' from her 2022 album i disagree being nominated for a grammy for best metal performance. her most recent album, negative spaces, has been her most commercially successful album since am i a girl? , having gained another grammy nomination for the song 'push go', and daisy's label are pushing for a world tour and some collaborations - but daisy is hesitant. she struggles to get along with others, especially when it comes to her music which she's deathly protective of. but if the right people come along, then maybe she'll consider trying to work with someone else. maybe. until then, daisy will continue to make interviewers uncomfortable with her big, unnerving eyes and strange answers to questions.

1- Primos

Mira mijo para mí toda la polémica estuvo bien pendeja, ya que todo el crew del show fue puesto en el mismo saco de boxeo por las declaraciones de Myrna Velasco, como persona que conoce a Natasha Kline desde su trabajo en Big City Greens te puedo asegurar por Dieguito Maradona que no es un demonio como otras personas en el internet la están poniendo.

El show NO es sobre la cultura mexicana es sobre la cultura chicana en Los Angeles y como persona que se vio el piloto filtrado antes de que un chistosito lo subiera para crear bardo te digo que es lo mas harmless y inocentón del mundo, los que se están quejando son gente que solo lo hace para crear ragebait y farmear vistas.

2- Zombies The Re-Animated Series

Not really my thing since the movies where "eh" for me but those days i was sick, so i recall the songs, happy for Aliki and the team tho, probably will watch it when i rewatch the films.

3- StuGo

Really interested for this one specially since this one is slated to be Disney TVA's 100th Series, so im curious if Disney will have some kind of event planned besides that, the synopsis is interesting also this show had multiple people of Jellystone! and the crew from the axed CN movie Driftwood on board, so i think it will be interesting as the show saved this people from being jobless.

Just realized that is called "STUGO" beacuse they are STUdents stuck three months on a wild tropical island, so they need to "GO".

Heh. It's like a pun or something. Heheh.

4 - Cookies & Milk

Apparently this is the second project from the Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur EPs, i wonder how will they handle a down to earth slice of life series, imagine if they hire Flying Bark again becoming their first slice of life project with the Rise/LEGO/MGADD animation lol

5- Rhona Who Lives By The River

I like how the concept art has a Cartoon Saloon vibe and wondering how will translate to stop-motion which is interesting, i like Karen Gillian for her role as Nebula on GOTG trilogy, what i wonder is how Disney will handle the show with the Elfman scandal, will they quietly drop it without any mention of Elfman like MAX did with Fired on Mars EP or finding a new composer for Season 2.

6- The Witchverse

I played the VR short recently and OMG is so cute and adorable, the world they created has a big potential for multiple storylines, hoping S1 is more focused on Magda, Sasha (Yeah they have to change her name) and her mother, their relationship was so adorable, hope Daisy Ridley returns for the full series.

7- InterCats

Apparently this will be Disney's first workplace comedy series for YA audiences and it sounds cute, apparently is co-created by one of the Nimona screenwritters Pamela Ribon, so that's a plus.

8- Fantasy Sports

Super looking forward to this one, i loved the original novels and hoping Disney makes justice to Sam Bosma's world and characters, i can see Wiz and Mug becoming perfect additions to crosspromotion events at ESPN.

9- SuperStar

BTW just like to mention that i named it SuperStar as a placeholder title, the show dosn't have a name as of yet, based on the cast call we can see that Alejandra is latina so maybe it's a mixture between MGADD and Hannah Montana, wonder which person created the show.

10.- Journey

Since we don't know it's creator is very hard to tell what to expect BUT the synopsis is interesting kinda a awnser to LEGEND OF VOX MACHIMA but more family friendly, im wonder if this is the project created by Amy Hudkins, Ian Mutchler and Jonathon Wallach since they like Dungeons and Dragons, Legend Of Zelda and Magic The Gathering.

11- La Familia Avenúñez

It's a spin-off of The Proud Family Louder And Prouder with a latino cast pues suena chido la vdd, esperemos que cuando se anuncie no ocurra lo mismo que Primos.

12 - Dog And Frog, Neon Galaxy, Sam Witch

so many of the plots for CM were so fucking stupid (why is JJ in the middle east for example) but the Maeve one feels so flat!! they tried to re do the impact of "100" but didn't put the multi EP effort into it, so we get barely 5 minutes of them as a couple and everything we know about Maeve is info dump, like I've cared more about single episode victims than I've done her. It also doesn't help that what little we get of her is too samey? so it just comes off as "person literally designed to be a good match for Spencer" instead of A Person I should care about. OH! and to do all of that only for the show to be like wait no nvm Spencer's been into JJ the entireee time sorry Maeve!

i've said it before and i'll say it again: spencer had more chemistry with those one off love interests in single episodes than he did with any of the "long term" gf's he had (really just maeve and max) (my beef with max is so niche)

when spencer is with maeve we literally see them having whisper conversations in phone booths. people always say he's so shy and insecure but watch those episodes because that man can fucking FLIRT with the best of them. there is so such thing as having a love interest be too similar to a character and that is such a huge fault in the writing for maeve!!

i could write a fucking essay with citations on why the jeid plotline in season 15 is the worst thing to happen to the show.

and since you brought it up WHY THE FUCK WAS JJ IN THE MIDDLE EAST??? she's so wonderful in her role as communications liaison it makes no sense to me why she'd be in the middle east just because... she's good at talking to people??? it was also pretty obviously a last minute thing because several times in season 7 and 8 there's mention of jj having been home. spencer went to her house for 10 (?) weeks mourning emily - so jj was home. will even tells her that things were easier when she was at the pentagon. one of the major selling points from strauss was that she'd be able to be home more.

anyways suspension of belief in criminal minds goes crazy. continuity isn't real.

To add to yesterday’s observations about Will and how his feelings for Mike are being hammered home, there’s an insane sequence in the VR game - Chapter 4, the good stuff is from 50:00 onwards. To put it concisely: Vecna tauntingly asks Will how to get to each of his friends, then tries to get into each of their heads by targeting their weaknesses. He uses Dustin’s friendship insecurity, but Dustin ignores him because he’s watching TV lmao. He uses Lucas’s desire to succeed, and tries to tell him that his friends are holding him back. However, Lucas is on a drive-in movie date with Max. he uses Mike’s guilt over losing El at the end of s1, and Mike doesn’t even seem to register Vecna’s presence in his mind. Why? Bc he’s too busy playing D&D with the boys, trying to get his Nana impression on-point. Two dice are rolled, one red and one rainbow, and those visually wipe away the Vecna part.

Vecna then returns to taunting Will, saying awful things about how he’s alone, his friends hate him, he’s going to rip him apart. Will’s nose starts bleeding heavily. Mike? Mike springs into action, grabs Nancy’s old white shirt, and physically wipes the blood off, getting super close to Will. His actions and words contradict what Will is being told by Vecna in that moment

I want to note something I haven’t personally seen observed. In this play through, anyway, it goes Dustin, Lucas -> Mike. Before Lucas and Mike, Vecna asks mockingly how to get into their minds. The nosebleed happens right after he tries and fails to get to Mike. We’re then treated to a full 90 seconds of Mike getting right up in Will’s face, tenderly wiping his face clean and asking if he’s okay, serving as the ‘light’, to quote Max, that drags Will from the darkness that is Vecna, that disproves everything Vecna says.

Is the implication that Vecna uses those tactics because that’s what Will thinks his friends’ big Achilles Heels are? What does that say for Mileven? I’d love insight from someone who’s played it.

Oh, and Mileven was low-key/high-key shaded in the Elmax section.

It’s very interesting that mileven is barely an afterthought, and treated very coldly and impersonally. To get to Mike, Vecna says, and I quote “more of that game. He’s distracted. You’ll never find her, Mike. The greatest person you’ve known forever is gone because you didn’t try harder. And now you’ll never know what could have been-” only for it to cut to Mike still talking about the particulars of his Nana impression. ‘Greatest person’, ‘cool’, ‘different’, ‘amazing’, only for any guilt re: her to not move him at all. Did I mention the consultant was Paul Dichter, story editor on 108 and every s2 and 3 ep, and main writer of Will the Wise and Dear Billy?

Oh my god i re watched episode 6, 7, and 5 in that order shut up and there are SO many good vaultknight moments (i dont like this ship name but that's neither here nor there)

First of all we don't talk enough about the FREAKIN RAINBOW LIGHTING on them in ep 5. When Lucy saves Max? Butterflies in my tummy! I love it so much. I love how they talk to each other! Its so normal! They're finally both away from their cults and get to experience some genuine human interaction MY TRAUMA BABIES

We also never really talk about how Max is from Shady Sands and so are the survivors in Vault 4?! Why is this never really picked up as a moment? Like I get Max is wary of Vault people but also like, those could be people HE KNOWS? At least people he could like, idk talk about that shit with? My interpretation is sort of that in the bos he developed his own method of compartmentalizing and he's not so interested in digging it all up. And like I know Lucy gets scared when they're doing the ritual but, that's a pretty healthy expression of grief for them, I think (okay maybe not with the blood will spill part but you don't know!)

I really hate that Lucy fumbles this entire Vault 4 experience but I think its so thematically appropriate and also just like, an important life lesson? That sometimes you ought not make assumptions? But also I feel like it's Lucy's pre-emptive guilty conscience, like she knows there's something bad with this Vault, and if that's the case there could have been something bad with HER Vault, and that would implicate her in the badness. (When she's insisting that she's a good person? Baby) The facade begins to crumble for her and that's an important character moment.

i love when janine pushes plot points because they're always incredible. thisbe is growing an organic divine!!!!!!!!!!! the divine arbor! god it's SO cool

and it's pretty easy to ask, what is really the difference between growth via mitosis and rebirth of a divine via gumption. both are inherent to the organism, right? (also you could read the equiaxed as a similar grafting process.)

anyway love to take concrete action in the precarious space as the boundary of a social construct. thisbe's plotline in the finalisade has been so compelling to me. standout of the season tbh

i'm still very very curious about how thisbe's been growing this divine (what did it start from??), but i'm sure we'll get into the implications eventually

interesting discussion of invasiveness in this ep re the divine pollen gambit. i would also like to contextualize said gambit in terms of solar geoengineering, specifically the various aerosol injection proposals that have been put forward in recent years. which are all just so... fucked

(i really do not have the time rn to put together actual analysis using geoengineering ethics (or invasiveness, even. which tells you exactly how much i do not have the time) but i do think it'd be interesting)

oh lmao and while i'm on real world analogues, the pollen injection concept is literally just crispr. space magic crispr

anyway the thing i loved about the space magic crispr approach was asepsis being a conduit for the divine arbor to grow on/in motion. asepsis as a decomposer turning motion into substrate for plants... pulling the embodient of undeath back into the cycle... fucking excellent

devlog #8 let's talk about potions and systems

there's been a lot of good brainstorming being done in the brainstorming discord (anyone is free to join, you'll get credit in the final game and i might buy you a pizza every now and then assuming i have the money for it). so let me go over some of the systems in GO INTO THE FUCKING DUNGEON that i feel confident talking about because i know i will implement them, in one way or the other.

1) exhaustion & camping

GITFD is a game about resource management - as i have phrased it, it's an "immersive sim survival game with light jrpg elements" (it is a first person dungeon crawler jrpg). you will likely not be able to survive the game using only basic attacks, and there are many meters that can be attacked - not just your HP, but your lamplight, your hunger, and your EP (Exhaustion Points). Spells are cast from a static EP meter that does not go up in most cases - everyone starts the game and ends the game with 5 EP. anything beyond basic attacks, throwing stuff, and talking uses up some EP. if you reach 0 EP, you gain a level of exhaustion and your EP re-fills. exhaustion lowers your stats and makes you get hungrier faster. if you run out of hunger meter you starve to death. so don't do that.

if you get enough exhaustion that it would drop your max HP to 0, you just die and can't be resurrected. so managing that is important.

anyway, there are *very* limited ways to restore EP and remove exhaustion. the primary way is via camping. it's sort of like darkest dungeon and sort of like D&D. each character gets two timeslots to do stuff. you can rest (each resting period removes xyz amount of exhaustion stacks). you can craft items. you can cook and eat meals. you can keep watch (and someone better or you'll get ambushed lol).

this is not the kind of rpg that lets you just make a bunch of bread rolls standing around in a hallway and then eat them all in one turn. that stuff takes time and a fire and tools. you can't just do that.

2) corpses

enemies do not drop pre-butchered chunks of meat for you. in fact they don't drop anything unless it would make sense for them to do so. what they do drop is corpses. and if you do not loot the corpses and take them back to camp, the corpses will attract other monsters (mostly scavengers). you can also drop corpses to do that on purpose, or throw corpses at things for shenanigans.

but anyway, yeah, corpses weigh a ton usually and you need to bring them with you to camp to butcher them to actually get meat, hide, animal parts, etc. if your inventory is too heavy then you don't get *visually* slowed down (which is a miserable experience), but instead you take fewer steps to count as an encounter tick, which means your lamplight and hunger decrease faster, because you're traveling slower.

3) potions & alchemy

in the game's alchemy system, players can create potions by combining two monster parts that share a matching effect and one chemical which you mine from the walls, find in chests, etc.. the monster parts are obtained from defeating creatures throughout the game and each part is associated with a specific effect, such as invisibility, healing, or strength enhancement. The chemicals, which are based on the non-courtly minor arcana (Ace through Ten), modify the potion's effect in various ways. for example, the Ace chemical always produces the basic "potion of xyz" effect, while other chemicals can split the effect, make it a group potion, increase its duration, turn it into a poison, and so on.

so, for example;

ace + invisibility = potion of invisibility (which also makes you take a penalty to hitting because you can no longer see yourself or aim)

two + invisibility = potion of half invisibility (makes you translucent)

three + invisibility = potion of group invisibility

four + invisibility = potion of long invisibility (lasts until you next make camp)

five + invisibility = poison of invisibility (apply to weapon, apply weapon to enemy, enemy becomes invisible)

six + invisibility = potion of duo invisibility (invisibility for you and the target)

seven + invisibility = potion of visibility (makes you or something you throw it at extremely visible)

eight + invisibility = potion of total invisibility (works on truesight!)

nine + invisibility = potion of permanent invisibility (permanently makes you invisible)

ten + invisibility = potion of perfect invisibility (gives you invisibility but without any of the downsides)

because i'm an asshole and i hate people having fun, potions are not given a name until the first time you experience their effects, only described as, for example, "green fizzy potion", and the colors and adjectives are randomized every run. so. you can and probably will quaff a Potion of Permanent Petrification or a Potion of Permanent Burning at least once, and it'll be really funny.

The Toonami Trending Rundown for the month of May 2024. This past month saw the thrilling season finale of Ninja Kamui, which lead to the return of My Adventures with Superman for its season 2 premiere.

For the season finale of Ninja Kamui on the night of May 4-5, #Toonami trended in the USA alongside Ninja Kamui and Zom 100. One Piece also trended on Tumblr.

During the nights of May 11-12 and 18-19, the regular lineup got a fortnight off as Toonami marathon all 13 episodes Ninja Kamui over the two weeks. No trends were spotted on the first marathon night, but on the second, #Toonami would trend alongside Ninja Kamui on Twitter.

Finally, the night of May 25-26, My Adventures with Superman saw its second season premiere air on Toonami with an hour long special of the first two episodes. This also meant that Zom 100 had to take an additional third week off, in an ironic reminiscence of when the show saw significant delays during its original run in Japan. Both #Toonami and #MyAdventuresWithSuperman trended in the USA on Twitter and on Tumblr as a result.

According to My Adventures with Superman executive producer Jake Wyatt on The Showrunner Whisperer podcast, Seasons 3 and 4 for the show has been outlined and creatively approved, but he can't speak on whether they have been greenlit for production by DC and Warner Bros Animation. Of course, if you do wish to see future seasons of this show realized, be sure to tune in every Saturday (or set your DVRs) and catch up on the show by streaming the show on Max, adultswim.com, and other digital outlets.

May 31 saw a major milestone for Toonami as the block would be expanding to Friday afternoons with Toonami Rewind from 5-7 p.m. EDT. Sailor Moon returned to Toonami for the first time in 23 years to headline the inaugural Friday afternoon lineup, with the VIZ Media re-dub produced in 2014 starring Stephanie Sheh as Usagi. It was joined with an hour of DBZ Kai and OG Naruto. The trends for the premiere of Toonami Rewind, alongside the night of June 1-2, will be showcased on next week’s rundown; which I will have out tomorrow or Saturday. No rambling live blog on here this time, sorry/you’re welcome.

This episode was fantastic. The future timeline hurt – I'd expected Kawi to be a regular "kiss my bff who's in love with me while drunk" type in this universe, but ooof, this still was hard to watch, and I bet Pear had to see all this and keep listening to Kawi insisting there was nothing going on … that couldn't have been easy.

Back in present day/past, they set up the thing with Kawi's dad in a way that I was sad, but not surprised. The LGBTQIA+ rights summit! Max's "I gotta stay here and fight" and the stark contrast with Pisaeng's mother's "why don't you run somewhere it's easier?" hit me like a brick to the head.

Pisaeng finally letting Kawi say his bit! Pisaeng remembering that Kawi's phone battery is shit and acting accordingly!! Kawi panicking and pushing through with the confession anyway!!! PISAENG TROLLING HIM!!!! god, this episode.

I'm also incredibly happy they've got Kawi on track re: his relationship with alcohol.

And finally, when will I learn to finish a scene before trying to read stuff? I spent entirely too long trying to decipher the handwriting on the postcard and mostly succeeded, only for Kawi to read it out a few moments later. this is what I get for being a sucker.

Maybe this Friday, I get to watch along with everyone.
