Yes! I am playing through it.

An RDR2 Undead Nightmare or a remaster of the first one would be fire af. Like I love the undead dlc (despite some of the glitches getting to me). Like random undead animals would pop in next to me when I traveled to a place (randomly).

but—just. It is.

I actually kind of had high expectations for UN and they met those expectations. I do wish some of the horses were designed differently. Like Pestilence is really cool! But Death is just boring.

And if they did a remaster or an RDR2 version it'd be even better! And more scary! Some of the jumpscares I have gotten... Like how can a dlc from a 2010 game make my fight or flight kick in?

It's so sad that John is such an underrated character in the red dead fandom, considering you play him in two games. (Maybe not totally in two but still in both)

Playing Undead Nightmare made me realize two things

1. This is so addictive and fun I can't stop playing

2. We were absolutely ROBBED of undead nightmare 2 and you can't convince me otherwise

God, the nature in this game is so wonderful. I think I kept forgetting to fast travel to places, just because I liked riding around and looking at stuff. Seeing how the landscape changes in different areas, from rugged bushes and cactus to softer grasses, to pine trees, it made the world feel real. On top of that, there's so many animals just wandering around, it's like a zoo! Well, a zoo where you can get mauled by two bears at once...

But yeah, I finished the game! And with 96.7% completion, at that. Folks were right when they said this was gonna take me a while! I had a blast with this one, whether it was riding around, getting into the rich story, or learning how to do cover shooting (and failing miserably). And that ending, wow. It was a quiet dinner for me that day, that's for sure.

I'm trying to track down the sequel for a decent price, but that might be a while, so for now, look out for whatever game I play next.

heyyy I'm horribly Charles brainrotted once again LMAO

I'm sure this means nothing, maybe they had a plan for it and just kinda reused it but I'd really like to believe it means something, but that one nightfolk that looks like Charles, who I believe you meet crying and she gets up and slashes you, do you think that means anything? maybe they were thinking of having a zombie game like they did for RDR1 and had a zombie for Charles, do you think that means he could've died? or maybe they didn't, and rockstar isn't known for cutting corners, all the others have their own models and everything except for the one that looks like Charles, why do you think that is?

Is it this one we are talking about? While I agree it looks like Charles, I don't think that they had any plans on making an undead nightmare 2 kind of thing. A lot of the actors, especially Roger, have talked about how the world of DLC's is wildly different and that there is more focus on things like online. Similarly I don't think they had plans of killing Charles off, there really wasn't any set plot at the beginning of the game, rather they just in writer words planster'ed everything, using what the actors gave them to work with.

That said, it could be that Noshir captured the motions for this one. From what I have heard it wasn't uncommon for the actors to act out different roles than their main one, and I know for a fact Rob motion captured for a Night Folk (though he apparently wasn't that good at it), so that might be why it looks like Charles, but I don't think it was meant to be Charles.

I finally got a donkey in rdr2.

It'd mods of course. Because the donkey in the rdr2 vanilla game is unable to be saved and kept in a stable and is more for laughs and giggles

His name is Rowan.

I decided to equipped him with gear similar to the photo from the mod page since it fit my preferences.

He sadly doesn't make donkey noises in the stable like the mod page says he would 😞 so he still makes horse noises sadly.

Donkeys and mules helped shape the wild west! I'm even surprised quarter horses aren't in rdr2, as they are in rdr1, as that was also a animal that helped make the wild west as it is today.

Here's the mod page to download if you're interested. I also used why em's dlc also for his rump cargo and the fancy saddle that can only be found online otherwise.

I chose packing heat because donkeys were usually used in the desert. Mine was anyway. And he's a pack animal. People would use these animals for bringing along important supplies into the mountains or desert areas for mining, for example. Wild burros were used during the gold rush and were left abandoned. Eventually, they grew wild and found a way to thrive on the tough, unforgiving terrain in the American wild west.

Where they still roam to this day!

long story. tl;dr-there's a theory that suggests that the Skinner Brothers were originally supposed to be the remnants of Natives that were kept at Fort Riggs, and would eventually go on to make up Dutch's gang in RDR1, and that this was scrapped due to fear of racism accusations, and conflicts with the plot, and that this is why both Fort Riggs and the Skinner Brothers feel unfinished and why the latter have the traits that they do.

are you familiar with red dead nightmare? It's a zombie apocalypse dlc for rdr1, it's honestly like it's own seprate game with how big it is., it even can be bought on its own entirely seprate disk

I'd recommend looking into rdr1, John's really funny in that, and also the dlc, undead nightmare, an alternate universe where a zombie apocalypse breaks out

Omg yesssss, I currently bought this package on steam back during Christmas in 2021 where it was cheaper and was able to get rdr2 story and online mode. Once I finish my play through for rdr2, I wanna try and get rdr1!

i got rdr1 on the switch

i put it off for some months and i was lucky i searched it today because the price went from $50 to $35 !!! i think that's a good sale for a game with dlc content included, plus the game still holds up well.

now i can have ol johnny boy in my pocket >:)
