it takes literally one person who criticizes dennis to make him fall apart and turn him into a pile of mess and a girl in distress. instead of becoming aggressive he even tries to but soon enough he turns into this harmless pathetic whiny man losing his balance and self confidence who barely knows how to keep up a conversation with someone and i kinda think this is who dennis actually is once u take off completely and strips him out of the image he creates around himself. another point is that he has a clear obsession with physical perfection and problems with body image. hes narcissistic enough to believe hes a golden god and achieved physical perfection and yet too fragile to keep it up when faced with any criticism bc he feels like smth is expected of him. thats the treatment he was given during his upbringing, being taught to use his physical attributes to attract ppl bc to dennis someone liking him for smth other than his appearance is not a possibility. its the only thing his confidence is based on. the gang group dates, how mac got fat, the gang exploits a miracle are just some episodes that show how obsessed dennis can get when it comes to someone criticizing him. or in gang saves the day when he finds out his dick doesnt work bc all the wanted was to not being seen in a superficial way anymore and when the doctor said that at least he had the support of his friends they were all gone. thats why he craves validation of his appearance so much bc thats the superficial way he thinks ppl see him.

I let myself eat whatever I wanted last week and ended up completely a series, starting a new one and a poetic drabble. I finished two old wips. I wrote at least 2000 words a day and organised everything. Today, no sugary snack, and I've completely lost my motivation. I'm stumped on my new chapter.

I am actually so serious I think it really messes with a childs creativity and joy to tell them to never make a mary sue OC. Like that unbridaled form of joy where you make a self insert OC who super cool and everyone loves them and they have every superpower in the world SHOULD be something a kid makes, it nourishes their ability to create things for fun and not be stifled by "oh but what if my character is too overpowered and cringey...". whatever
