A little about me and the blog. Hi! I’m a minor, and I do get pretty anxious about talking with new people, tho I do still usually interact with people that talk to me first. I will always respond to dms, though asks are a little different (I sometimes just forget. Oops). Feel free to say whatever, but I dont reblog nsfw or suggestive things, and I try and keep that kind of content to a minimum while posting. I have said suggestive things before if you scroll back enough, but I do avoid that kind of thing now. Same applies for violence/death/gore and particular topics that I’m unsure of the audience for on my blog. I try and keep this a safe space.

the reason why ive been reblogging most roadtrip posts is because i just wannted to have an easy way to see all of it together, because if you look on the archives for this blog with the tsproadtrip tag:

theres already so much done for it already

ive worried a lot abt what would happen if the trend died out, that ppl would get bored with it or forget about it esp during artfight, and i totally understand why it might. ive barely kept up with the tags myself recently. so the worry was reasonable,

but... seeing this? its amazing

theres so much done already, so much amazing art n ppl taking their time and will be spending time for this silly little event i thought up one night

its been a way for me to see other ppl in the fandom and find other designs and artists that ive never seen before, and at the same time, be able to gush about them all because despite all the community's been through, im glad to be in the fandom. and i hoped the trend would be able to spread positivity into it.

so, after seeing all the art and work done for this trend, im at ease if the trend dies out or no one does it. Im just glad that it was able to create all this in the first place.

i watched a bluey ep for the first time recently with my youngest sibling and its a very cute show, it actaully disapoints me people are very weird about it though. and i mean both people who dislike people for watching it and those who are just gross about it. i really hope that doesnt affect the show :( i know that happens sometimes.

but anyway i think you really pushed me into watching it and you rbing bluey reminded me i did and i loved it it made me feel like a little kid. but i have to ask how do you tell the characters apart because i had such a hard time doing so and i don't know why?? maybe i just need to watch some more lol.

and YEAH AKSKSJS i can see how telling the characters apart could be p challenging at first. i didnt rly have a problem w it but there is a p large cast of side characters so i can understand forgetting who some characters are, especially when some of them have relatives who look like them and make it difficult to remember whos who. in my experience the more i watched the show the more i started to remember characters names and designs, so its probably just a matter of waiting it out until youre used to em. i think it also depends on what order u watch the episodes in; i try to watch eps chronologically bc i find its easier for me to remember characters that way.

but!!!! once again im rly happy u enjoy the show, its become a big comfort for me recently and it took me a while to be less self conscious and more open abt liking it so im glad u were able to fall in love w it too!!!! ty for the kind words anon i hope u have a great day :)

if it was just like, one or two people id do that but overwhelmingly its been most rbs of the post that ive seen. also if its an article about police brutality, generally id think that it would be self evident to tag for bigotry against whomever is being systematically targeted and im not sure what else to say that would convince ppl abt that. like it goes into Why ppl are rbing it- is it bc of solidarity with romani people and to try to draw attention to that civil rights movement or is it to further bolster anticop messages using romani lives as a vehicle to do so? and thats not something i can get into discussing with most of the ppl ive seen doing this bc i dont have the energy to be on the defensive for that entire conversation right now

and like, thats obvi not the only possible reason why someone may not have tagged it. maybe they ran out of time, maybe they forgot, maybe they dont know romani people are racialized and they think the article is talking about romanian ppl, theres tons of other potential reasons. maybe they dont think anybody w ties to romani communities follows them, or maybe they dont think its all that bad. theres so many reasons why someone may not be tagging for it and while id like to hope for the best of someone just forgetting to tag, id also have to be mentally prepared for the worst with each interaction.

when i have more time, i might go back to the ppl i remember rbed it without tagging for racism and sending an anon message for moving forward, but like. for a multitude of reasons i am not in the space where i can do that for every single person ive seen doing this so far

Now to the stuff you said, YES IT'S THE "TALKING IT THROUGH"!!!!! Knowning that there's more to come makes me so happy, like, it will be a whole MONTH of OFMD (though yeah i agree with you, tbh I would've liked a one 1 episode a week kind of deal). There's such a sense of community around, this feels nice and comfortable and fun. There's no rush to see it all and then post about it for a week just to forget it after. It doesn't feel stressful, it feels slow, and like the show is respecting our pace. This REALLY is the most fun I've had in ages, i love this show.

Honestly y'all, I'm so so glad we're getting weekly episodes instead of a whole season. For as much as I'd like to know what happens next, what's happening right now feels so much nicer than what normally happens with binge-style shows. We only got three episodes and, frankly, I'm a bit overwhelmed. There's so much to see, analize, think and joke about and so much stuff I just straight up MISSED, it's crazy to see what comes out when you give people time to actually process stuff.

I'm sad to imagine what might have gotten crushed by the a-whole-season-in-one-sitting tsunami if they had released it all in one go. All in all, I don't think this would feel as homely as it does now.

one thing that bothers me about those "you cant guilt people into rbing your art" posts is a lot of the time they forget that a LOT of artists are trying to make a living off of their art, or trying to make substantial side income. yes, they likely have multiple accounts, but if people dont share or engage with them regardless of website it is at the cost of their income. being an artist is incredibly difficult already, i dont think tumblr artists should be shamed for asking people to boost their work, especially when so many people become downright hostile about donation posts
