Then the Shaykh (Ibn Taymiyyah) may Allah have mercy on him said: Whereas the Ahl al-Sunnah wa ʿl-Jamāʿah follow the Book and the Sunnah, ثم قال الشيخ - رحمه الله: وأهل السنة والجماعة يتبعون الكتاب والسنة they obey Allah and His Messenger. ويطيعون الله ورسوله Thus, they follow al-ḥaq (ie: the truth) and show mercy towards al-khalq (ie: the creation). فيتبعون الحق ويرحمون الخلق. What Shaykh Hamad al-Ansaari said about The Rafidah (Shia)
1 – Rawafidah (Shia)
‘The Rafidah are the Munafiqoon (hypocrites) of this Ummah.’[3]
2- From the Non-Arabs
‘Indeed Rafd (the religion of the Shia) came from the non-Arabs, as for the Arabs they were not Rawafid, but after the non-Arabs had mixed with the Arabs there occurred Rawafidah amongst them.
The reason for the spread of ignorance in the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th century amongst the Arabs caused them to be lost, and they became an easy morsel in the hand of the one who wanted them. However, when they were busy with knowledge it was not possible for anyone to divide them up and overcome them.’[4]
3 – Zaydeeyah
‘Whoever investigates the situation of the Rawafidah, will find that no one says what they say except the Kuffar. The majority of scholars make Takfeer of the Rawafidah. The Zaydeeyah are Mubtadia’(Innovators), the term is not given except to the Zaydeeyah and also whoever becomes a Shi’ee. The Zaydeeyah do not have Asaneed (chains for narrations), rather their reliance is upon books which do not have Isnaad.’[5]
4 – Rawafidah (Shia) and the Jews
‘During the seventh and eighth century you would not find except the Rawafidah (Shia) in Madina and likewise in Makkah, this is what Ibn Taymeeyah, Dhahabi and Sakhawi mention. I believe that there is no enemy of the Muslims the likes of the Rawafidah (Shia) and the Jews. The founding father of the Rawafidah was Abdullaah bin Saba and he was a Jew. Shaykh ul-Islaam wrote a chapter in the book ‘Minhaj as-Sunnah’ explaining the resemblance of the Rawafidah (Shia) to the Jews. If the leaders from the Muslims had not used politics to deal with the Rawafidah and the Jews, they would not have been secure from their cunning evil. The Rawafidah do not know anything about Islaam.’[6]
‘a – The Rawafidah took their religion from the Jews, and their attacking the Companions is attacking Islaam.
b – When the Asha’areeyah[7] affirmed seven Sifaat (Attributes) of Allaah, they did not do this because it is present in the Qur’aan, rather they affirmed them because the intellect did not oppose them, if they had affirmed them due to the Qur’aan then they would have affirmed the rest of the Sifaat.’[8]
5 – The Term ‘Rawafidah’
‘The evidence of the Ahl-ul-Hadeeth that the Ahadeeth which mention the word ‘ar-Rawafid’ are Ahadeeth which are lies, whereby this title was not applied except at the time of the Abbaseeyeen.’[9]
6 – Takfeer of the Rafidah[10]
‘Indeed when Imam Ahmad was asked about the Rafidah he answered that they were Kuffar.’
Then my father said: ‘Some of the people of knowledge have said that the Rafidah are Mubtadia’(people of Bida’)’
Then my father said: ‘This statement that they are people of Bida’ is a light statement about them, since their actions are the actions of the Kuffar and likewise are their statements.’[11]
‘The Rafidah say that Ali –Radhi Allaahu anhu– will be sent before the Day of Judgement.’ They mean in place of Isa -alayhi as-Sallaam.’[12]

TEFSIR ibn KATHIR: Surah Fath Ayah 29
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
29. Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
And those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves.
You see them bowing falling down prostrate, seeking reward from Allah and acceptance.
The mark of them is on their faces from the traces of prostration. This is their description in the Tawrah. But their description in the Injil is like a seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, and becomes thick and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers, that He may enrage the disbelievers with them.
Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward.
Qualities of the Faithful Believers and Their Refinement
Allah declares that without doubt, Muhammad is truly His Messenger, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. (and this quality includes every beautiful description).
Allah praises the Companions of the Messenger, may Allah be pleased with them all, And those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, merciful among themselves.
just as He, the Exalted and Most Honored, said in another Ayah,
Allah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers. (5:54)
This is the description of the believers; harsh with the disbelievers, merciful and kind to the believers, angry without smiling before the disbelievers, smiling and beaming with pleasure before his believing brother. Allah the Exalted said in another Ayah,
O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you. (9:123)
The Prophet said,
The parable of the believers in their kindness and mercy for each other, is that of the body: when one of its organs falls ill, the rest of the body responds with fever and sleeplessness.
The Prophet also said,
A believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts enforce each other.
Then he clasped his hands with his fingers interlaced.
Both of these Hadiths were collected in the Sahih. Allah the Exalted and Most Honored said,
You see them bowing and falling down prostrate, seeking reward from Allah and acceptance.
Allah describes the believers as active in performing righteous deeds and in praying, which is the best action there is, all the while being sincere to Allah the Exalted and Most Honored in the prayer, awaiting His generous reward alone.
Allah's best reward is Paradise that contains His bounties and favors, abundant provisions, as well as, earning His good pleasure that is greater than the former reward.
Allah said,
But the greatest bliss is the acceptance by Allah. (9: 72)
The statement of Allah the Exalted next, The mark of them is on their faces from the traces of prostration.
refers to graceful appearance, according to Ibn Abbas as reported from him by Ali bin Abi Talhah.
Mujahid and several others explained: "It means, humbleness and reverence.''
Some said,
"The righteous good deed brings light to the heart, brightness to the face, ampleness in provisions, and love in people's hearts.''
The Leader of the faithful, Uthman bin Affan said,
"Everyone who hides a secret, then Allah the Exalted will either show on his face what he's done or by the words that accidentally slip from his mouth.''
Imam Ahmad recorded that Abdullah bin Abbas said that the Prophet said,
Verily, good conduct, graceful appearance and moderation are one part out of twenty-five parts of Prophethood.
Abu Dawud also collected this Hadith. Therefore, since the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them all, had sincere intentions and righteous good deeds, all those who looked at them liked their appearance and conduct.
Imam Malik said,
"I was told that when the Christians saw the Companions, who conquered Ash-Sham, they commented, `These people are, by Allah, better than the Disciples (of `Isa) according to what has been conveyed to us.'''
They indeed said the truth, for this Ummah was mentioned in an honorable way in previously revealed Scriptures. The best and most honored members of this Ummah are the Companions of the Messenger of Allah.
Allah, the Exalted and Most Honored, praised them in previous Books and Revelations, and this is why He said here,
This is their description in the Tawrah, then said,
But their description in the Injil is like a seed which sends forth its shoot (Shat`ah) (its shoot or branch), then makes it strong, (able to stand on its own), and becomes thick, (youthful and long), and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers, Such is the parable that describes the Companions of Allah's Messenger. They gave the Messenger aid, support and victory, just as the shoot hardens the plant, that He may enrage the disbelievers with them.
Relying on this Ayah, Imam Malik stated that the Rawafid are disbelievers because they hate the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them all.
Malik said,
"The Companions enrage them, and according to this Ayah, he who is enraged by the Companions is a disbeliever.''
Several scholars agreed with Malik's opinion, may Allah be pleased with them.
There are numerous Hadiths mentioning the virtues of the Companions and prohibiting the criticism on their mistakes. It is sufficient that Allah the Exalted has praised them and declared that He is pleased with them.
Allah the Exalted and Most Honored said,
Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds, forgiveness, (for their sins), and a mighty reward.
a generous reward and honorable provisions.
Certainly, Allah's promise is true and shall come to pass and will never be broken or changed. Surely, all those who follow the guidance of the
Companions, may Allah be pleased with them all, will be similar to them. However, the Companions have the better virtue, the obvious lead and the perfection in character, on account of which none among this Ummah will be able to attain their level. May Allah be pleased with them and make them pleased. May He place them in the gardens of Al-Firdaws, and make it their abode, and He indeed has done all of that.
In his Sahih, Muslim recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Messenger of Allah said,
Do not abuse my Companions, for by the One in Whose Hand is my soul! If one of you spends the amount of Uhud in gold, that amount will never reach the level of one of them spending a Mudd half of it.

Brief disclaimer, this is what the book cover says is the author’s name, so that’s what I’m using, but my library has it as “Ṣabā Ḥirz��� and it’s “Siba Al-Harez” on Goodreads. If you’re having trouble finding it, that might be why. The book was originally published in Arabic, so I’m honestly not sure which is correct. The plot centers around an unnamed narrator and her life at a girl’s college entering Saudi Arabia’s lesbian underground and online scene. This book is controversial in the Arabic world for both its lesbian content and for its portrayal of a Shi’i Muslim community in heavily Sunni Saudi Arabia. The narrator hails from Qatif in the Eastern region and her and her friends remember the 1979 (or 1400, using the hijri year) Uprising that sparked violence between the Shi’i and Sunni populations. She mentions the different ways that she experiences prejudice, from the punishment for following the Shi’i custom of wearing black shirts in the month Muharram to mourn the death of Husain, or her lover’s use of the derogatory label “rawafid.” The afterword does a good job at giving some context to some of the religious dynamics that the author skims over, not having written the book with a Western audience in mind. The narrator’s relationship with her lover is a key component of the book, but there is much else going on. The narrator’s older brother, who was a very important figure in her life, dies and she struggles to handle his absence. She also experiences numerous seizures, having lived with epilepsy all her life. I’d be hard pressed to call this a romance, the narrator’s lover is abusive and violent and she ends the book sneaking away from her mother to meet with a man she met online. She has multiple of these online romances, but at one point remarks that she doesn’t see any future for herself with a man in it, so I’m not really clear on what exactly happened by the end to change her mind, or whether she really does love this man or is exhausted with the hiding and shame. The prose of the book was very lyrical, it often went into abstracts that tripped me up, although I was unsure if this might simply have been due to the difficulty of translation. All in all, a really interesting book on the life of a social and religious minority living in a very different culture.

My Dear, Loyal Brothers! Hadiths of this sort are allegorical. They are not particular and do not look to general places. As for others, of the religious differences that would afflict the Umma, they point out a single time, citing the Hijaz and Iraq as examples. Anyway in the 'Abbasid period, numerous misguided sects came into being which harmed Islam, like the Mu'tazila, the Rawafid, Jabariyya, and atheists and heretics under various guises. At a time there were serious upheavals regarding the Shari'a and tenets of belief, numerous leading figures of Islam like Bukhari, Muslim, Imam-i A'zam, Imam Shafi'i, Imam Malik, Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Imam Ghazali, Gawth al-A'zam, and Junayd al-Baghdadi, emerged and quelled the religious dissension. The victory continued for around three hundred years, but the sects of the people of misguidance covertly, by way of politics, brought down on the Muslims the dissension of Hulagu and Jenghiz. Both Hadiths, and Imam 'Ali (May God be pleased with him) explicitly indicate this dissension together with its date. Then since the dissension of the present time is one of the most serious, both numerous Hadiths, and numerous Qur'anic allusions give news of it, together with the date. Making an analogy with this, when a Hadith mentions in general fashion the stages the Umma will pass through, it sometimes points out the date of a particular event within the generality, by way of an example. Various parts of the Risale-i Nur have made certain interpretations of allegorical Hadiths such as these, the meanings of which are not completely understood. The Twenty-Fourth Word and Fifth Ray elucidate this truth by means of principles. * * * My Dear, Loyal Brothers! It was imparted to me that I should explain a truth so that you do not accuse one another of egotism or disloyalty. At one time I observed that some of the great saints who had given up egotism and none of whose evil-commanding souls remained, complained bitterly about them and I was astonished. I later understood perfectly that on the death of the evil-commanding soul, its implements are handed over to veins of temperament and emotions, so that the striving of the soul can continue to the end of the person's life; and the exertion does continue. Those great saints, then, complain of this second enemy and heir of the soul. Moreover, spiritual worth, station, and virtue do not look to this world so that they should make themselves felt. In fact, since some of those at the highest station do not perceive the great Divine favours bestowed on them, they consider themselves to be more wretched and bankrupt than everyone, which shows that the wonder-workings, unfoldings, illuminations, and lights which the mass of people consider to be spiritual perfection, cannot be the means to and touchstone for that spiritual worth and those stations. This is proved by the fact that although one hour of the Companions of the Prophet (PBUH) had the worth of a day of other saints, or perhaps forty days' ordeal, all the Companions experienced the same wondrous illuminations and states as the saints. My brothers, be careful! Do not let your evil-commanding souls deceive you by comparing others to yourselves and thinking ill of them; do not allow them to make you doubt the Risale-i Nur's ability to train.

i had a proper discussion with this salafi guy from school, his only interactions of shias were through social media and he would frequently be cussed out so he never got a chance to argue. i was just glad that he was straight up about his books like he told me himself all 4 imams of ahlus sunnah proclaim shias to be kuffar and he explained how my aqidah constituted of beliefs that are grounds for shirk.  [to be continued]

Kitab "Tasheh Ad-dhu'a" oleh Bakar bin Abdullah Abu Zaid
Apa yang Syiah lakukan pada hari 'Asyura sememangnya bid'ah yang keji. Mereka meratapi peristiwa kematian Saidina Hussain di Karbala dan mereka mencipta perlbagai ritual yang dianggap mendekatkan diri kepada Tuhan.
Sebagaimana ghalibnya, amalan Syiah mempengaruhi kalangan ahli Sunnah. Lalu ditukar dengan pakaian yang lain dan amalan yang lain. Galakan memberi makan , beribadat khusus, doa-doa khusus yang dijanjikan ganjaran besar, tidak bersumberkan hadis nabi dan amalan generasi awal ummat ini.
Termasuklah apa yang dikatakan Doa hari 'Asyura yang menyelamatkan diri daripada kematian pada tahun tersebut. Sayang sekali, doa ini ada dalam kitab-kitab yang dipelajari oleh para penuntut. Tanpa soal, kewujudan doa ini dalam kitab diterima sebagai saheh sedangkan di kalangan para ahli hadis, mereka menilainya maudhuk.
Amalan yang saheh pada hari Asyura adalah puasa pada harinya. Kemudian disisipkan bersamanya puasa pada hari Tasu'a. Jika tidak, hari ke sebelas. Itu, demi membezakan puasa yang dilakukan oleh kaum Yahudi.
Ada persimpangan yang perlu diwaspadai. Jika anda menunjukkan kegembiraan pada hari tersebut selain yang diajar nabi SAW iaitu berpuasa, umpamanya amalan menzahirkan perhiasan, buat kenduri dan sebagainya, ia mungkin warisan amalan para nawasib. Mereka bergembira dengan kematian Saidina Hussain. Jika anda bersedih pada itu, anda terjebak dengan amalan warisan Rawafid, itu golongan Syiah.
A'syura diraikan oleh Syiah mau pun nasibah! Di pertengahannya ada Sunnah. Berhati-hatilah dan ambillah jalan pertengahan. Itu jalan yang berdasarkan petunjuk nabi SAW. Syaitan menembak dengan satu peluru, lalu kena dua sasaran. Satu sasaran namanya duka. Satu sasaran namanya suka. Sasaran itu adalah A'syura.

Marubeni-led group wins Shuqaiq 3 project
A consortium led by Marubeni Corporation is to invest $600 million in Shuqaiq 3 desalination plant project in Saudi Arabia.
The new mega-size desalination facility will be situated on the Red Sea coast
The group comprising Marubeni, Abdul Latif Jameel Commercial Development Company (ALJ), Rawafid Alhadarah Holding and Acciona Agua has signed a 25-year water purchase agreement with Saudi’s Water and Electricity Company.
The project is for a 450,000 m3/d reverse osmosis desalination plant at Shuqaiq on the Red Sea coast. Commercial operation of the plant is set to begin in 2021.
The group of four formed a special purpose company that is 45 per cent owned by Marubeni, 30 per cent by ALJ, 15 per cent by Rawafid, and Acciona owns 10 per cent.
The project is the largest reverse osmosis plant with a Japanese backer anywhere in the world.

‘Indeed when Imam Ahmad was asked about the Rafidah he answered that they were Kuffar.’
Then my father said: ‘Some of the people of knowledge have said that the Rafidah are Mubtadia’(people of Bida’)’
Then my father said: ‘This statement that they are people of Bida’ is a light statement about them, since their actions are the actions of the Kuffar and likewise are their statements.’[11]
‘The Rafidah say that Ali –Radhi Allaahu anhu– will be sent before the Day of Judgement.’ They mean in place of Isa -alayhi as-Sallaam.’[12]

The statements here were taken from the biography of the Shaykh, which was compiled by the Shaykh’s son AbdulAwal bin Hamad al-Ansaari who is a teacher in the faculty of Hadeeth in the prestigious Islaamic University of Madina. The Collection is called: ‘al-Majmoo’ Fee Tarjama al-Allama al-Muhaddith ash-Shaykh Hamad bin Muhammad al-Ansaari -Rahimullaah- wa Seeratahi wa Aqwaalihi wa Rihlatihi’. It is a large two-volume collection of the sayings, wisdom and various biographies of the Shaykh. English translation of the recent statement of HTS concerning the Astana deal
“The legal position concerning the latest events and developments facing the Syrian revolution.
All praises are due to Allah Who said: “We will, without doubt, help our apostles and those who believe, (both) in this world’s life and on the Day when the Witnesses will stand forth.”
And the Exalted Who said: “Permission is given unto those who fight because they have been wronged; and Allah is indeed able to give them victory.”
And the most complete peace and blessings for always be upon our master and leader the Messenger of Allah, and his family and companions and those who adhere to them. As for what comes forth;
The series of plots against the Jihad of the people of Shaam and their blessed revolution is still ongoing and the latest chapter and most evil one is the Astana agreement. The sacrifices of the people of Shaam and their revolution and Jihad and blood and prisoners are sold on the market of regional and international bargains. As a contract was signed which achieves the interest of the international parties, except the interest of the Syrian revolution and Shaam and its people.
The change of names does not change the realities, and the Muslims of Shaam will not be fooled by flashy slogans which try to fool them that they seek to bring an end to the bombings, while in reality it is an attempt to deviate their revolution and a theft of their sacrifices with the excuse of protecting them. And they seek to break the backbone of the Mujahideen, who are defending them in a way which prevents the regime from re-establishing its authority over them. And if the Muslims in Shaam would accept the equation: sacrificing the revolution to stop the bombing in return. Then they would not have revolted against the tyrant of Shaam in the first place and they would have accepted the tyrant himself similarly to these offers.
And in front of this reality which we pass through we have received news from multiple sources of unprecedented movements by some remnants of previous corrupt factions. And these movements seek to force and enter at the border, and from there to the heartland of the liberated territories in Idlib and elsewhere. In a new conspiracy to achieve that which the disbelieving forces like the Russians and the Rawafid and the Nusayriyah were unable to achieve in all of these passed years; in terms of breaking the motivations of the Mujahideen and defeating them or taking over the territories the Sunni Mujahideen liberated. These movements are carried out by a group of remnants of corrupt factions of whom the leadership were satisfied with loyalty to covert projects at the expense of the revolution of the people of Shaam and their Jihad. As they are preparing to assault the remaining territories of the revolution and Jihad in concordance with the resolutions of Astana.
And in accordance to these suspicious movements and sudden preparations the Fatwa council in HTS has decided the following:
Firstly: Agreeing to the Astane deal and accepting it is a betrayal to Allah, his messenger and the believers, also [a betrayal] to the blood spilt and efforts put forth in liberating the Muslims in Shaam from the shackles of the Nusayri [sect], and a conspiracy to eliminate the Jihad and revolution in Shaam, and preparation to assign authority to the Nusayris again, and submitting the country and people to the disbelieving occupiers, by exercising the methods of guardianship over the Muslims of Shaam. So it is obligatory upon every Muslim to work on breaching this deal, oppose it, expose its reality and uncover those behind it.
Secondly: these gatherings and remnants are groups of corruption, agents and mercenaries, despite their different names the factor that unites them is corruption in the lands, there isn’t a major sin that they haven’t committed in the lands they land upon, such as plunder of wealth, properties, dishonoring the Muslims and terrorizing those who are safe. Due to this, repelling whomever intends to corrupt the revolution and Jihad from these people or other than them is a type of Jihad in which the aggressor who corrupts the religion and worldly matters is repelled, and it is obligatory upon every Muslim. They should rather fight deadly than to let them occupy the areas liberated by the blood of the Mujahideen. And if Allah writes death for one of us in those situations then what a blessed martyrdom it is in the sake of Allah and striving against his enemies. And it is obligatory upon the masses to fight those criminal remnants, and sacrifice the valuable than to allow those corrupters to advance towards any area under any pretext or banner.
And this ruling includes these remnants and also those who cooperate with them or allow them to work under their banner, all of them are the same in the ruling of the obligation to repel and fight them.
Finally: To our honored people in the guarded Shaam and land of resurrection and gathering, and to our soldiers and soldiers of all the Sunni factions we say, seek help from Allah Almighty in striving against your enemies until Allah judges between us and them, and do not enfeeble, sorrow, weaken or despair . Fight in defense of your religion, border, honor, land, revolution and Jihad.
“And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.”
“O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful.”
And praises are due to Allah, The Lord of the worlds.
