Good Boy
Male Sub Yan Bully + G.N Reader
"I only need a good boy by my side, and I don't mean someone who'll have me home by eight. I want an obedient pet. Will you be that for me?."
Warnings/Tags: Top/Dom Reader, Anal Sex/Pegging, Cross-dressing, Light Degradation and pet play. Reader's gender is (obviously) never stated, but their parts are referred to as dick for ease.
Anyone with working eyes could see how whipped that boy was for you.
From the day he pushed past you in the hall, a faint spark started his heart stemming from the dismissive glare you back shot his way. That flicker was the match that blew everything into an explosive mess for your attention, igniting any obstacle in its wake. Your fellow peers avoided you for the continued safety of their fingers and social life, and every which way you turned he was there. His physical harassment didn't go beyond shoving you out of his way or snatching pencils and things meant for trash.
You never acted out against him - to his. Never ratted him out or even raised your voice. You hardly talked to him at all and that pissed him even off more. To make matters worse you were cordial in your brief encounters, and even threw off-handed comments his way. Trailing your fingers up his bicep when he forced himself at your table. Saying he looked "nice" with his hair up and out of the way of those pretty eyes. It drove him mad. He knew you knew he was too chicken shit to actually put hands on you and didn't bother wasting your energy to provoke him.
Recently, your dynamic had taken yet another turn. One, uneventful Monday morning, you strolled right up to his locker and patted him on the head as you walked off to class. His knees turned to jelly, and he nearly had a locker door slammed in his face following your hand as it left his soft locks. At lunch that very same day, you sat in his lap and even fed him his food - so long as he rushed through that project for his next class he was intentionally planning to fail. When the grades were sent back and you caught wind of his score, you kissed him on the cheek and ruffled his hair like you did before. His goons spread rumors of the two of you dating, but now everyone believed it with the leash you had around his neck. If he didn't get himself into detention, another pat. Good grades? Two kisses - if he work school appropriate clothing. Your switch from pretending he never existed to dotting on him like you were actual lovers boggled his mind to no end. What made you see him differently?
"This thing is way too damn short. I told you I'm not putting on fucking her bra - that's gross. Where the hell is my phone.. What the fuck?... give it to me. Post that and I will fucking ki-"
Oh - that would explain thing. It would explain a lot actually. All those weeks back, Erin had been asked by a friend to help deliver his sister's clothing to a nearby shelter with a few beers as payment. One of them had the brilliant idea to have a drinking contest with the loser having to try on her clothes. When it was discovered he had been pouring his into the grass, Erin was immediately disqualified and given his dues. They took video and posted it to his private page - forgetting about the person he made follow back. In all honesty, Erin had no problem wearing feminine clothing. It was just that everything that girl had absolutely shit tastes in fashion and not at all to kiss liking.
What he had on now was exactly his style.
Sliding a hand up his outer thigh, you loop two fingers through the heart shaped buckle attached to his garters and thigh highs. The spaghetti straps of his crop top hand loose and torn off his shoulders; neck and chest decorated in dark bruises and teeth marks. Circling your tongue around his puffy nipple, you pull it between your teeth - just to watch him squirm as your lips break contact with his chest; the strip of leather hanging from his thigh crackling against his skin as you retch your fingers free. He whimpers mutely, rubbing the stinging flesh into the mattress to prolong that fading bite. Grabbing his knee causes him to stop immediately, looking up at you with those pretty, pleading eyes through the whispy, dark ginger locks clinging to his sweaty forehead and cheeks. You smirk.
"What a good boy."
It had all been a test. You saw that video, and you had to have him. You knew he could be obedient with the right motivations and there was none better than giving yourself - and a little praise, to him. As usual, Erin was pissed when he found out you were training him like some.. dog, but he couldn't deny the guilty pleasure of you turning him into your bitch in front of the whole school. His cock throbs in his panties as his hazy mind replayed the billionth loop of you calling him yours; the phantom heat of your breath against his ears sending chills. Erin bucks away from the hand placed over the bump in his skirt so you wouldn't notice the pulse, but you certainly had. You close your fingers around his length, stilling him as another gloop of drool rolls past his lips.
"Eager Boy! I would love to help you with this, but.... I only need a good boy by my side, and I don't mean someone who'll have me home by eight."
You drop your lips to his ear, teasing the shell in just the way that made him cry out everytime. His little bated moans were the cutest thing.
" I want an obedient pet - and lover. Will you be that for me, Erin."
His cock ached at the first title; his heart sung at the next. He'd do anything to relieve the tension in both areas. Anything to be yours. Licking his bitten lips, he nods.
"I'll be good...."
You reach up to stroke his cheek. Erin nips at your fingers, rolling the metal ball of his piercing between each. He spits directly in your hand.
"Freak."
His chest rises with a shaky laugh, yet there's nothing but obedience in those eyes. It's a work in progress. You smack the meat of his thigh with your spit covered hand; the sound and force of the saliva hitting his send immeasurable. The e way his mouth falls open as he gasps - you would've thought he came right then and there if his solid erection wasn't in your opposite hand.
"You're lucky I'm nice. Turn over, pretty boy."
Leaning back, you help Erin lift his leg over your head as he turns over onto his stomach. Scooting forward, his ass falls into your lap as he sinks down. You raise the skirt that barely covered much to begin with and slip those lace panties down; pre-ejaculate smeared into its crotch. You wish you hand more time to appreciate his attire or shove those frilly garments down his throat, but as soon as he came through your door it was too your bedroom - and you wanted to hear his sounds nice and clear for your first time together. There would be plenty more nights in the future for you to do whatever your heart desired. Reaching forward, you tap his lips with your finger.
"Spit? Since you've already proven you don't mind getting your drool all over your master."
Erin opens his mouth - letting out a gagged yelp of surprise as your fingers shoot down his throat. He's never been more thankful for the lack of a reflex. Regaining what little composure he hand, Erin swirls his tongue around your fingers and hollows his cheeks as he suckles them as you drag them out his mouth. His head falls into the pillow as you draw your arm back to position; spreading his asscheeks as your lubricated thumb teases his hole. It slips in easier than you imagine and his back muscles go taught.
"Have you fingered yourself before?"
Erin buries his face in the pillow, eyes avoiding your stare. ".... toothbrush."
"Pfft - you whore. I was wondering what happened to that. Guess I don't have to ask who you were thinking about while you did it."
"At least you go your brains if anything ever happens to your face."
Frowning, you yank the hair still trapped in the scrunchie he wore. "Bad dog. Guess you won't need the prep then."
Removing your finger, you lend your cock to his hole. He hooks one arm under the pillow and reaches the other behind him. You take his hand and lock your fingers with his as you slip inside; pinning the limb to his back as you sink in. You pull your knees from under him and plant them in the mattress as you drag your girth out of his tight hole. Erin drops his free hand between his legs, but you quickly add your weight to his arm - immobilizing him.
"Ah-ah, I didn't say you could do that did I?"
Erin grumbles something under his breath, but thankfully you don't hear it. As a reward for staying still you kiss along his back up to the nape of his neck, right below his choker where you plant your teeth as you start off at a gradual pace. His skirt falls pack down a couple times which you lose care of after a while and let drap at your thighs. He keeps his lips separated from the pillow so his heavy breathes are audible - just like he knew you wanted. Such a good boy. Dropping your grasp to his waist, you tug him back with each thrust - virtually bouncing the drooling boy on your cock. His greedy hole and desperate whimpers suck you back in. Pleads he tempts to conceal with his moans ringing longer no matter how exaggerated his sounds become. Like everything when it came to you - he just couldn't keep it in.
"ngh...y/n...please...hah... give more."
"You want more this so soon? Hm, you've been good enough so far."
Yelping as your hips snap against the curve of his ass, Erin rocks his with a stutter - rutting his aching cock into the mattress chasing friction you refuse to provide. Your hand cracks hard against his right cheek and his back arches against your sweaty bare chest as he all but screams into the pillow now forced into snuffing his cries. You grab his jaw and his head pivots back to look up at you.
"So noisy.... It's unsightly of you, Erin. Like you're a different person now you've got a few inches in you. Tell me, are you my good little puppy or some bitch in heat using my dick to get off?"
Tongue petaled around your thumb, Erin cries out beneath its weight. "Mmph.." You lift your finger, smearing his drool into his cheek as you turn his head to face you.
"What was that, boy?"
"y-yours... 'm yours, I promise. I can be both. Please let me be both."
"We'll see about that." Standing on your knees, you yank Erin along with you and lock your arm around his neck to keep him from falling as you drill upwards into him. His cock bobs with each hammer of your hips into his and you have enough mercy to stroke him to completion as his eyes roll back in his head. You mouth more marks into his neck and shoulder blades, scrapping your teeth on the bone. Your name bleeds off his tongue like it's the only he's ever known and right now there couldn't be a truer statement. You suck one more fresh hickey to his neck and work on to his jaw, licking the stray tears that drip down to the corners of his mouth as you crush his windpipe in your hold - darting your tongue past his gasping lips. Erin groans in the blissful heat of the thirsty kiss, cumming into your hand and onto his thighs and your pillow. You rub the sensitive flesh for a few more strokes before letting him fall into his own mess. You join him on the unstained pillow and scoop your arm under his neck. He scoots over, resting his head on your chest - eyelids droopy and body slack. You brush his hair out of his face, pressing a kiss to his clammy temple.
"A quick rest, then it's the showers before bed for you, Mister.. You did amazing for me. Clean?"
You extend your hand; palm glazed with his spend. Erin scoffs, lips twitching into a faint smile.
"You're such a dick."
He sweeps his tongue over the salty fluid and licks it off the ball of your fingers, cringing at the taste, but doing as asked for once.
"True, but I'm your dick now."
He stops - eyes soft and more vulnerable than the entirety of your session. "You... were serious about that?"
"Of course. You're a good boy, Erin - when you want to be. I like you."
His head falls back to your chest, hand finding yours. "i... love you."
-
The next day at school, you walk in together with your wrist in his hand. You'd let him keep his big dog act for just a little longer. Stopping at your longer, Erin spots the one that got away - some little shit that snuck a note in your locker and fled his fury due to the teacher standing in the hall. His right hand tightens into a ball.
"Erin."
The student looks your way, shocked seeing the two of you so close. His shoulders relax as he shoves the fist into his pocket. Thankfully, you didn't have every period together. "See, i wasn't doing nothing."
You peck his cheek with a smile. "Good boy.

A Brother for Cyril
Alfie Solomons x Wife!Reader, fluff
733 words; Alfie is tricked into getting you a new dog...and it's all Thomas Shelby's fault.
Warnings: Swearing.
“Now Tommy… what the hell is that?”
“It’s a dog Alfie. A very sweet dog that you will love.”
“You silly boy that is not a dog. That thing is a rat. Cyril, now that’s a dog yeah? That thing is smaller than my boot, and I can’t even see it’s rat face. There’s nothing there. It’s a ball of hair.”
“Well it is a puppy Alfie. And it isn’t a rat, they call it a shi tzu. All the finest ladies have one.”
“...Are you trying to tell me something Tommy?”
Tommy Shelby rolled his eyes, “I’m trying to give you the dog. Lizzie refused to take it and Polly doesn’t want animals in the house. So I thought, ‘Hey. Mrs. Solomons is a beautiful woman, and Alfie could probably use help spoiling his wife.’ You’re welcome Alfie.”
Alfie leaned forward, with an accusing finger twitching at Tommy, “Listen to me yeah? Don’t talk about my wife, in fact don’t even think about Mrs. Solomons alright? That woman is an angel, and there is nothing holy that goes around that twisted little mind of yours. Now, regarding the… thing. I can assure you that Mrs. Solomons will not want -”
“What won’t I want darling?”
Both men have their heads snap to you in the doorway, with a soft smile on your lips, and a curious twinkle in your eye. Alfie quickly looked at the clock, 2 p.m, he should have been home an hour ago for lunch with you. Despite Alfie’s insistence that you don’t come to the office on weekends, even when he was here, he knew that you would always disobey to come fetch him. Before Alfie could say anything to you about going back home with Ollie, Thomas Shelby beat him to the punch, “Alfie was just saying how you will not ever want to be parted with this… adorable little animal.” Thomas held up the small ball of fur, as little whimpers began to emanate from the puppy.
“Oh my goodness Alfie you shouldn’t have! Oh darling he is precious! What a sweet precious baby! Oh now Cyril will have a little brother won’t he! Alfie you spoil me so, thank you so much darling!” You immediately took the little dog into your arms, pressing kisses to the top of it’s head, and the dog nuzzled its small face into your chest, soon falling into comfortable sleep.
Alfie stared at you, mouth agape. For someone who could be so vicious with her words when the occasion called for it, you really babied the animals you came across. You walked behind the desk to kiss Alfie tenderly, “I was so upset that you didn’t come home for lunch, I’m so sorry my love, I didn’t realize that you were picking up such a darling little thing.”
As you kissed his cheek, Thomas Shelby smirked in the face of Alfie’s scowl. Once again, Thomas Shelby had manipulated the situation to his benefit, and now Alfie was left with this… dog. A happy wife too.. But also another dog that Cyril could eat. But how could he say no to you when you were so incandessently happy and kissing him the way you were? “That’s right my darling I was bringing you a gift, and you are most right, Cyril does need a brother to look after, earn his keep yeah? Now my dear, what do you think you’re going to name him?”
“Hmmm, he does look like a Bartholomew to me. And we can call him Barty for short.”
Thomas began to cover his mouth to smother his laughter, a ridiculous name for such a runt. But Alfie just scowled at him, if you gave the name it was perfect, “A wonderful name treacle. Now let’s get home and introduce the boys to each other yeah? Tommy? Get the fuck out, I’m taking my wife home. Ollie!? Get the car we’re going home.”
As Alfie wrapped his arm around you to lead you out with him, you turned your head to look over Alfie’s shoulder at Tommy, “Goodbye Mr. Shelby! See you soon! Give your Aunt Polly my love.”
Tommy tipped his hat with a smile, “Goodbye Mrs. Solomons, a pleasure as always. Enjoy Barty. See you Monday Alfie.”
Alfie just grunted and pulled you closer, wanting to get away from the thorn in his side.

Write a fic about where you are attending kindergarten and then there's a rat fighting off foot ninjas
and then TMNT x reader
Ninjas In Kindergarten (Angst?/Crack?/Fluff?)
Bayverse!Turtles x reader
A/N: In honor of the second rat we found in the toilet today, along with the signs of rats in the other parts of the kindergarten, daycare and staff room, I bring you this. I’ve changed it from Foot ninjas to a mouser, and brought the turtles in just for the fun of it. And oh yeah, they brought the rat hound in again. IT FOUND ANOTHER RAT WHILE WE WERE THERE. What an internship. It isn’t boring I tell ya.
Btw, me and the kids are now joking that it's Master Splinter’s unmutated family that wishes to recruit ninjas on their own. These little ninjas now do a double check before using the toilet.
Warning: Kids in danger, crying children, and spelling like always.
It was a surprisingly calm day for a Monday in a kindergarten. All handovers of the kids from their parents had gone smoothly, with the kids happily playing together on the mats, the pillow room or the play kitchen. Even the girl that tended to cry whenever her mother dropped her off was in a somewhat good mood, drawing with her two best friends at one of the tables.
You sat by the play kitchen area, plastic food all around you as the boys and girls around you handed you food, acting as if you were the only guest in an overstaffed restaurant. Out of the corner of your eye, you could see one of the adults cutting up fruit, while another one brought more pencils to the drawing table, all while the third one was changing diapers on the three youngest kids.
It was nice to finally have a calm day at your internship. The past few weeks had been somewhat chaotic. Not so chaotic that you couldn’t keep afloat, but enough to make you very tired whenever you finally got home. But damn it, these sweet kids made the whole ordeal worth it, only making you excited for the day you would have your own.
You and your boyfriend had started to talk about children. Nothing was set in stone yet, but the topic had been up several times. Well, if it was possible that was. With your boyfriend’s… less than human nature, none of you were sure that a child would even be possible. But nonetheless you dreamed, finding your heart jump whenever one of the kids accidentally called you mom.
“(Y/N)!”, one of the girls at the table called out, running to you with the drawing in her hands. Her 4 year old face, bright eyes and happy smile shined proudly as she held up her drawing for you. It was a blob of colors with no form of meaning, but nonetheless she was happy. “I made it for my mom!”
“Woooow!”, you smiled, leaning forward to show interest in the paper and the many doodles on it. “Did you really make that all by yourself?”
“Yes!”, she said with a little happy jump. “All by myself!”
“I think your mother is going to like it a lot”, you said, smiling as another kid handed you yet another piece of plastic food, adding it to the growing pile in your lap. “I think you should put it in your drawer. Then mommy will know where it is”.
“Okay!”, she smiled, running to her drawer with a skip in her steps.
With the paper in one hand, she opened her drawer, only to jump back with a scream, causing you and the other adult to jump, all turning your attention her way, all the kids doing the same in quiet shock. In her drawer was a mechanine, the size of a mouth, with one bright red lamp where its eyes should be, walking around on two feet. You jumped at the sight, knowing exactly what it was. You had seen such a thing several times with your boyfriend and his brothers, during your run ins with one certain scientist.
You quickly ran to the girl and pulled her back, just before the mouser jumped out of the drawer, snapping out at you. All the kids let out a scream, running for the farest corner in order to get away from the mouser.
In one swift move, you pressed the number that the turtles had given you onto the keyboard, sending an alarm signal to the ninjas, before giving the mouser a hard kick as it tried to get near you and the poor crying girl.
“Up on the tables!”, you yelled over your shoulder to the three other adults, quickly helping the girl up on the nearest table, before helping the next kid. “Keep the mouser away from the kids!”
And so you did, getting all the kids up on the tables, ignoring the questioning looks from the other pedagogues, as they wondered how you knew what that thing was.
You got the last kid up on the table, kicking the mouser back once more, before quickly jumping up on the table to the kids, before it could bite at your ankles. The kids on the table hug you tightly, crying as the mouser started to bite at the wooden legs of the table, trying to get it to fall.
Suddenly the door swung up, revealing your mutant turtle boyfriend in the front and his brothers right behind him. The moment he spotted the mouser at the feet of your table, he jumped into action, smashing it into pieces with his weapons, causing the room to fall quiet. Thankfully the kids weren't crying at the moment, but you could tell by the looks on their faces that the sight of four mutant ninja turtles would soon cause another round of crying.
“So”, you said, trying to defuse the building intensity in the room. “Kids, this is my boyfriend. You know, the one that was a little different with strong muscles? That is him”.
Your boyfriend waved at the kids with a somewhat awkward smile. When he and his brothers gave you that emergency number, he had never thought he would have to come and save you, three pedagogues and a bunch of kids from a rogue mouser.
To his surprise, one of the kids poked at him, staring at him with their big eyes and runny nose, not fearing his big frame as he looked at them.
“Are you green because you ate broccoli?”
“Yes”, your boyfriend answered with a smile, before knocking on his shell. “And I got this from drinking coconut milk”.
“Oh boy”, was the only thing you could mutter, before the questions came flying, all of the kids wanting to learn about your strange boyfriend and his brothers.
It didn’t take long before the kids started playing with your boyfriend and the other turtles. With Mikey they took turns to jump on the smashed mouser, laughing loudly at the sounds it made. Donnie drew with girls, taking a look at the drawing the girl from before had made. Raph played a throwing game, throwing the kids into a pile of pillows one by one, while Leo was making a tower of building blocks with the quiet kids, their eyes growing wider the taller the tower got.
It was safe to say that you would have to bring your boyfriend and his family to your internship a little more often, especially when the kids started screaming and asking you to bring them once again. There was nothing you could do. The kids had turned into big fans of the ninja turtles. And it was adorable.

• November Seventh, Nineteen Eighty-Three
✦ Monday mornings were truly hellish. Classes felt longer yet, the rest of the day ran shorter. Your car takes forever to warm up, even after you kick the tires and curse at it. Some mornings the only thing getting you out of bed are your friends or the coffee sitting in the kitchen, waiting for you long after your father made it an hour ago.
This morning, it was the coffee.
"Johanna? Are you even listening?" The voice snaps me back into reality.
"Hm?" I blink at my shorter, curly-haired friend.
"Did you hear what I said?"
No, I did not.
"Yeah." I nod, removing the rim of my coffee lid from my lips. "You said, 'Something, Something, Steve this, Steve that, Something'."
The taller, red-headed girl beside me tried her hardest not to laugh at my comment but a small giggle escaped her. Meanwhile, my eyes flash around the hallway and past the parking lot doors, waiting for someone else this morning.
"I didn't say that."
"But I was close though? Right, Nance?"
She rolls her eyes playfully and shuts her locker. Just past her head, I spot Steve Harrington and his obnoxious friends approaching us.
"Morning ladies," Steve says, while only looking at Nancy.
Without much care, I lifted my cup over my mouth again when Barb looked at me, I put my finger in my mouth, pretending to gag at the scene. Nancy, Barbra, and I have been friends since fifth grade, so it's fair to say we know each other well.
"Someone looks jealous." Tommy H laughed, watching Barb and I.
"Not jealous per-say. Disgusted? Definitely." Barb shoves my rib softly, causing me to add. "No offense, Wheeler."
Apparently, that ruffled a few feathers but luckily, the bell for the first period rang and I could make a swift exit. As I walked into the classroom, I saw that most students were still waiting for Mrs. Young. Following in shortly behind me was Steve and Carol, Tommy's girlfriend, who is possibly the most annoying person I have ever met.
Steve sits in his seat right in front of me, blocking my entire view of the board with his immense hair. Ever since Nance developed this crush on him, I soon realized that he would be around regardless of whether or not I wanted him to be.
"Hey, did Nance tell you about tonight?" He asks, twisted in his chair to talk to me.
As I try to recall anything Nancy said this morning, I lick the bitter coffee residue off my lips.
"What's tonight?"
"I invited you guys over. It's a small get-together."
"Sounds like a party."
"Well, don't rat us out to your dad and maybe it can be." He smirks, trying to charm me.
"Actually I think he would enjoy a little party."
Steve rolls his eyes and then sighs, turning around in his chair when Mrs. Young walks into the room.
For as long as I have known Steve Harrington, he's been an entitled, silver-spoon-fed jerk. It wasn't until he learned that Nancy liked him that now he is trying to be a little less of a douchebag.
But still a douchebag, nonetheless.
✮
After fifth period, on my way back to my locker, I saw Barb waiting for me. Just a few feet away stood Steve and Nance at Steve's locker, making heart eyes at each other and tripping over their words.
"What's with the long look, red?" I ask, nudging Barb's arm while I unlock my locker.
"Nothing it's..." She sighs, debating on if she should say what she's thinking. "It's just that Nance is so obsessed with Steve."
That might sound rash but lately, it seems like all Nancy ever wants to talk about is Steve.
"Yeah, like this past weekend when we were out shopping, all she only cared about finding a new sweater that Steve would like."
"Exactly! I mean, I get that but..."
Barb's voice started to fade into a void while we were heading to Nancy's locker because, in the teacher's lounge, I heard someone say my dad's name, making me stop dead in my tracks.
"Did you hear that Chief Hopper is looking for that Byers kid? Apparently, he didn't make it home last night."
Byers kid? Was it Jonathan or Will? Is that why Jonathan's not here? It has to be.
"Johanna, where are you-?"
"I gotta go! I'll see you later!"
I turned around and ran out the back doors to my car. Tapping my thumbs on my wheel, anxiously while I sped over to Jonathan's house.
There were so many questions but I was too afraid to know the answers. Jonathan's car was parked outside but Joyce's car was missing.
"Jonathan!" I shouted, knocking on the wooden door.
"Who is it-"
The door opened and I sprung myself onto him, hugging him tightly. He was stiff until he realized it was me, relaxing into the hug.
"Dude! You scared the shit out of me! I thought, thought that..." I mumbled into his neck.
"It's Will."
My heart plummeted; to my stomach as I pulled away to look at him. Wet tears still stained his cheeks.
"He's missing."
We went back to Jonathan's room. A song by The Smiths played when we walked in. He turned it down and we both slumped down on his bed.
I could not believe it. Will was the quietest and sweetest little boy, how could he have just disappeared?
"Last night, he was supposed to bike home from Mike's house-"
"Nancy's little brother?"
Mike, Will, and their two other friends were quite a few years younger than us. Seventh graders to be specific.
"Yeah. He and Mike play Dungeons and Dragons with two of their other friends, Lucas and Dustin."
"Okay, then what happened?"
"I'm not sure. For some reason, Will didn't come home last night and we haven't seen him this morning." He sighed. "My mom's downtown talking with your dad about it."
"Well, somehow people are starting to find out."
"Who told you?"
"No one. I overheard some teachers talking about it at lunch."
Jonathan nodded then rested his head on my shoulder. I know he would never ask me this but I am sure he's wondering if this is how I felt when my younger sister, Sarah passed away.
Our parents have known each other since high school but it wasn't until Sarah passed and my mom left that I grew close with Jonathan. Sure, we had met before or gone to the other's birthday parties but once we hit middle school, we started to hang out together.
We listened to The Smiths' whole album in silence; just sitting together. Neither of us said anything until we heard Joyce's car pull into the driveway.
"Oh, Johanna!" Joyce jumped when she saw me in the hallway with Jonathan. "I was just with your father... Did he... Did he tell you about..?"
"No, Jonathan did," I answered. We knew it was best not to tell Joyce that the news was being spread already. "Is there anything I can do to help out?"
"No, sweetie," Joyce says, lighting a cigarette; and taking a seat at their table. "If you hear anything from your dad, let us know."
I nod before saying goodbye to them.
The house was hollow when I returned. Most nights it was like this, Dad would work late at the station and I would be here alone. It was different when I was growing up. Don't get me wrong, I love my dad. We've had our fair share of bumpy roads behind us but now, we only have each other.
In the kitchen, the phone began to ring.
"Hello?" I answered, leaning against the fridge.
"Johanna..." Nance practically sings into the phone.
"Yes, Wheeler?"
"I need a favor."
"What favor?"
I already knew what she wanted. Nancy likely already called Barb and wants her to come with her to Steve's house.
"Will you come with Barb and me to Steve's house?"
"Harrington house? On a school night?" I say teasingly. "Wheeler, you rebel."
"C'mon, Johanna." She whined. "Please."
"I'm the daughter of the Chief, remember? They don't want me there."
"Steve does!"
I roll my eyes, popping a candy cane into my mouth.
"Yeah, so he can get into your pants."
She hesitates then says, "That's not true!"
"Sorry, Nance. Try and drown Carol for me."
And with that, she hung up.
✮
The following morning, I waited by Barb's locker for fifteen minutes before the bell for first period rang and I realized, she wasn't there. It wasn't like her to miss school.
After fourth period, I finally ran into Nance in the girls' bathroom.
"Hey! Have you seen, Barb?" Nancy asked me.
"No, she wasn't in third," I answered her.
"She wasn't in homeroom either. I asked around and no one else has seen her today."
"Did you ask anyone from her band class?"
"No." She shakes her head. "I haven't seen her since We got to Steve's house last night then she just left."
"Without you?"
That was hard to believe, they are basically attached at the hip. Barb and I are close but they were on a whole other level.
"I went upstairs with Steve for a few minutes, then when I came back down she was gone."
I could understand why she would have left, especially if Nancy went upstairs with Harrington 'for a few minutes'.
"Try calling her house and I'll check the library."
Nancy nodded and we split up. The library was practically empty so even though I knew she wasn't in here, I still checked. On my way back to the courtyard, I ran into one of Barb's friends from band, Robin.
No, literally, I ran into her.
"Ouch! Where did you even come from?" She groaned, holding her shoulder.
"Sorry! Have you seen Barb today?" I asked her.
"Um, no but I'm heading to band practice so, I can let you..."
My brain tuned Robin's voice out because just right behind her head, across the parking lot, I saw Steve drop Jonathan's camera on the cement.
"I gotta go! Thanks!" I yelled before running away.
When I arrived, Steve and his friends were walking back inside with Nancy, leaving Jonathan to pick everything up.
"Nance!" I yelled, hoping she would stay.
"Sorry." She mouthed, following Steve back to the school.
Ripped photographs were lying there too. It didn't take a genius to figure out what these were of. One half-ripened photo of Nancy's naked back with Steve's bedroom walls in the background was under my foot.
"I swear I didn't mean to take those," Jonathan explained. "I was looking for Will last night and-"
"I believe you."
We picked up everything that we could of the camera pieces. That camera meant so much to him and it wasn't a cheap one either. Joyce worked many hours and saved up to get that for his birthday.
Jonathan left afterward, mumbling something about visiting his dad. Angrily, I went back to the school. Originally, I was looking for Nancy, but instead, I found Steve in the gymnasium.
"Harrington!" I yelled, causing all of the basketball players to stop their game and look over.
Reluctantly, he followed me out to the empty hallway.
"What?" He says, trying to come off as pissed.
"What the hell is your issue?" I hissed.
"Right now, it's you."
Is he joking right now? He has to be.
"I have no issue punching that so-called pretty face, Harrington. So, tread lightly." I glare, stepping forward.
The cocky look on his face made me even angrier. I've tried to give him the benefit of the doubt since Nance likes him but I have had it with him.
"That's because Daddy and his buddies down at the station wouldn't dare put cuffs on you." He says, leaning down a little in an attempt to intimidate me.
"Whatever." I scoff, turning around to leave. A larger hand reaches for my wrists, stopping me.
"Tell that little perv to stay away from Nance."
Without hesitation, I lifted my foot and kicked him in the shin. He cussed me out as he hunched over to rub the skin. I bent down enough to be leveled with his ear.
"Don't touch me."
✮
I didn't expect to see my dad tonight so I made myself a snack before work. Forgetting dinner altogether. My vest sat on the couch while I looked around for the name tag. That's when the phone rang.
"Hello?" I answered, pulling the cord all the way to my room.
"Johanna? Hey, it's Nance."
"Hey, I can't talk for long. I have to work tonight. What's up?"
"I called Barb's house but her mom said she doesn't know where she is."
Shit. I tuned out most of what Nancy was saying after that. My heart started pounding in my chest, Will and Barb? Both missing?
"...So, can you try and talk to your dad? Maybe he can find something out."
"Um, yeah. I'll talk to him the next time I see him."
I hung up and raced to the station, forgetting the name tag completely at this point. The police station was fifteen minutes away, and I made it there in under ten.
"Donna! I need to talk to my father!" I told her as soon as I walked in.
"He's not here, honey." She said, not even looking up at me from her desk.
"It's urgent."
"Then file a police report."
Half of me was tempted to jump the counter instead, I walked back to my dad's office to see if he was back there still. Donna was right, he was already gone.
"He's out looking for the Byers boy. I can leave a message." She sighs, following me in here.
"Never mind. I'll talk to him later at home." I huffed, storming out.
"You really are his daughter." She scoffed.
I know, I shouldn't have acted that way but I couldn't help it. Barb was missing and I needed to tell him as soon as possible.
The car was freezing the rest of the way to work. Stupid heat was going out again. When I arrived at work, I got out and hit my tires, mumbling curse words under my breath at it.
"Do you need some help?" The voice startled me.
"No, thanks," I said, turning around. "Robin?"
"Yeah." She laughed, throwing it in the bin.
"You're working here now?"
"Looks like it."
It would be nice to have another girl working here with me. Right now it's only me, Keith, and Nick.
"Did they seriously make you take the trash out in the snow?" I asked, joining her by the dumpster to help her lift the bags.
"Yeah." She laughs, tossing another in.
"Assholes."
We laughed together and headed back into the theater.
✮
"Theater Two, on the left. Enjoy your movie." My voice was flat like the Coca-Cola Robin dispensed into the cups.
"Did you see Barb at band practice today? After I talked to you?" I asked her after everyone else in the lobby left.
"No. Is everything okay?" Her back was still turned, filling up the popcorn machine again.
"Yeah, I just haven't heard from her."
Robin nodded her head but didn't say much after. Keith called her to his office, leaving me in the lobby for a few minutes. I didn't want to lie to her but, I wasn't sure if my hunch was right.
Nick comes up behind me, making me jump.
"Dude, you scared me," I said, noticing the seriousness in his face.
"Johanna..."
There's this dreaded look on Nick's face even though he's avoiding my eyes.
"The cops... um, they found the Byers boy... he didn't make it."
This had to be fake.
Yet, it felt so real.
✮
The following few minutes were hazy. I grabbed my keys and ran out to the parking lot. Robin said something about covering my last few hours for me.
All those years that I mourned a sister I barely got to know, came hurling back at me but only worse because I knew Will. The summers I spent babysitting him, hanging out with him and Jonathan after school, all the memories we had. Moments I can't get back.
The station wasn't far from work and Dad's cop car was parked out front when I pulled in.
"Dad? Where's my dad?" I asked Donna again. I must look like a mess with the empathetic look she gave me before pointing to his office.
"Dad, I heard... I heard about, about Will." I barely choked out.
He let me sob in his arms until I was ready to let go but the truth is, I never want to let go.

Heat preparing your birthday [GN neutral]
Well well well... Been awhile huh ? Ya know the song, i write when i feel to xD. First time i do that's, that's @fanaticsnail birthday that's inspired this lil' drabble, I dedicate it to you.
Again Snails, happy birthday !! hope ya had fun
TW : pure fluff, a bit NSFW suggestive at the end.
This boy is stressed as fuck, no other mood. He is gonna prepare this event a whole month before, in the greatest secret possible, even his own mate aren’t in the plan. At least…not in the first place, they will eventually get into, because he got caught hyperventilating in a corner of the boat by Wire.
Then Wire gonna tell Killer he knows, then Killer gonna rat out to Kid who’s gonna tell Heat they know. And all of this joyful rascal gonna join Heat plan to help him to not fuck up all he planed.
And you, dear y/n you ain’t guessing a thing, they are the same in their attitude, they don’t change the way they are, they keep bullying you like it’s a traditional monday on the Victoria punk. Heat keeps hyperventilating when S/o isn’t around tho.
And the day finally came, S/o wake up to find Heat all giddy and smiley with your favorite breakfast, plenty of kisses and already a gift, a surely stolen piece of jewelry, a thin golden chain.
But that doesn’t end up here, that’s your day, right ? He is gonna drag you in town to do a shopping spree, you want that cute plushie ? No worries babe, that’s on me with a little giggle, and a blush when you kiss him on the cheek to thank him.
Then that’s a really fancy restaurant waiting for y’all, how did he get a place ? He will never tell, outside that, you’ll see fancy things you never knew could be edible, like snails with butter, garlic and parsley, though a bit weird but finger licking to get to the last drop.
Now both of you can digest while you enjoy each other presence, walking next to a river hands holdings, finger interlocked while you both coo sweets words to each other. TIll evening begins when you come back to the boat, decorated with a large banner written ‘’ happy birthday y/n” poorly written, but that's the attention that matters, right ?
And now… It’s a feast, or mostly y’all drank till nobody is thirsty anymore. Even if Heat pulls you away to get more alone time with you. Heat wear is name well, because it’s become heated between you, him,the four walls of your shared room, the bed or every furniture placed. A nice touch, to end this lovely day…
‘’ I love you Y/n ‘’ will be the last thing you will hear from your lover, while you both doze off in each other's arms.

Marauders x muggleborn Reader (platonic)
- maybe slight nods to a Remus x Reader romance (I have a problem I know) but it doesn't have to be taken that way.
CW: panic attack, bad mental state, overwhelming feelings, death, grief.
I always make sure they boys are taken care of.
I make sure James remembers his schoolwork and his books before we go to class, he is very forgetful.
I know people from outside our circle often tease Peter about how he trails after the rest of the boys like a lost puppy, but I make sure he knows how loved and appreciated he is by both me and the rest of the boys.
I notice how Sirius draws away from the rest of the group before holidays and around his brothers birthday and I make sure I get him alone so he feels comfortable crying all he needs to without judgement or ridicule.
I know how Remus gets testy before the full moon so I know to try to tidy up the boys dorm, and restock his chocolate supply so he has less triggers because I know how guilty he feels after he snaps at the boys.
The point of all this being that I take care of them, watch them and make sure they take care of eachother when I'm not around so that for days like today when I simply can't bring myself to leave my dorm I know that they'll survive.
When Mary shook me awake this morning I had already decided to hibernate in my dorm all day. I brushed her off and made some excuse of it being that time of the month, which wasn't true as I finished my period last Monday, she gave me a look of disbelief but didn't push it and said she would check on me during lunch. I fell back asleep before I even heard the door close behind her.
Later I awoke to scratching on the outside of my door, confused I looked around and saw I was still alone in the dorm. I grab my wand and slowly move towards the door.
As I rip the door open with my wand out, the pit of fear in my stomach immediately leaves as I notice the familiar black dog named Padfoot outside my door.
"Merlin pads, give me a heartattack why don't ya" I keep the door open for him to enter while I return to my bed. I have known the boys we animagus since before they completed the task, them going on a month long 'silence strike' was as worrisome as a big indicator what they were doing. You see part of the procedure to become an animagus is to keep a mandrake leaf in your mouth for a month.
"Sorry it's just the only way we can get up the girls stairs without it turning to a slide" Sirius returns to his boisterous self as he fully enters the dorm room.
"Wait we?" I sit up alarmed and looking towards the door ready for the horror about to flood into the room.
Right on cue I hear the stomping of hooves up the stairs paired with the sharp breaths of some anxious person come up the stairs rapidly.
I watch in awe and horror as a deer enters my dorm room with a horrified Remus Lupin sat atop him holding a tiny rat in one hand and gripping one of Prongs' antlers in a death grip with the other.
"See I told you it would work!" Sirius exclaims as Remus quickly and awkwardly gets off Prongs' back and sets Wormtail on the floor.
Immediately after turning back into James he starts doubling over in laughter.
" Oh Merlin! That was the best thing ever! We definitely have to do it again" James eventually straightens up and plops himself next to me on my bed.
"Yeah no not happening" Remus says as he brushes imaginary dirt off his clothes.
"But Moonyy, what about next time we need to check up on our better fifth." Sirius wines out dramatically.
"There won't be a next time, why are you guys here shouldn't you be in class?" I move over in my bed to try and give more room for them, but in reality it could probably only hold 1 more person comfortably.
I guess Remus decided to be that person as he comes and sits next to me and James on the bed. "We couldn't let our best girl be all by herself" Remus rubs my leg in a comforting motion.
"Guys I promise I'm fi-" Peter cuts me off.
"Come off it, you know we know you better then that" Peter exclaims "I can see the circles under your eyes showing that you haven't slept"
"And the slight redness of your nose" James taps my nose as he speaks "in addition to the pile of tissues on your nightstand" my eyes dart to my nightside instinctively and see the tissues that I put there after my mental breakdown last night. "And the fact that you aren't showing signs are being ill and there is none of that muggle meditation out, points to the fact that you've been crying"
"Medication" I correct under my breath
" When Mary told us you were holed up in your dorm with girl problems, that was a dead give away somethings up because we know you love to pressure Moony to give up some of his chocolate when your on your period, which you did last week" Sirius moves to sit on the floor besides the bed as he speaks. "I may not be an expert in female autonomy but I know your period doesn't last 2 weeks"
"Dove," Remus takes my hand " you haven't even changed from what you were wearing last night" I look down and see he is right I am still wearing the sweats and band tee I was wearing last night as we were playing exploding snaps in the boys dorm.
I take the hand Remus is not holding and hold it up to cover my face as the emotions that were flooding through my body as the boys were talking all come to surface and a sob escapes my mouth.
"I-I jus-s-st" I stutter out through my sobs
"Hey hey, breathe, that's all you need to do right now, just breathe" James says as he pulls my arm from my face so I can match my breaths with his.
"That's right, just focus on your breaths don't want you hyperventilating" at some point through this Sirius must have gotten up from his place on the floor and took to rubbing my back.
Remus keeps a hold on my hand and when I started bringing my other hand up to scratch at my throat he grabbed it as well to stop me from inflicting red scratch marks on my neck.
The room seems to be moving in slow motion as all the boys are doing something to help me calm down my eyes locked with James as a grounding point as Remus holds my hands, Sirius rubs my back and shoulders, and Peter runs his hands through my probably very unruly hair.
The boys my boys unfortunately have experience helping eachother down from their own respective panic attacks so they know just what I need to calm down.
When it seems like I'm starting to calm down I lock eyes with Remus and break down again, and again when I see my pile of school work out of my peripheral, or feel Sirius' hands run over the back of my necklace. I'm just constantly going up and down, doing better then doing worse, it feels like a never ending cycle.
After a while I eventually just close my eyes and that helps things not be so triggering for me and I'm finally able to calm down.
Once I open them I see Peter standing besides me with a glass of water-I didn't even notice his hands leave the top of my head that's how out of it I was- I take it and drink it all down slowly as to not choke myself.
"There's our girl" Sirius says with his award winning grin, that does bring the tiniest upturn of my lips.
"Sorry you-" I start to apologize but Remus cuts me off.
"Nope no apologies, you've been there for us more then we count so its about time you let us be there for you" Remus smiles at me and hands me a tissue.
"What do you need?" Peter kneels down to be eye level with the rest of us " do you want to talk or just exist for a bit, maybe sleep some more?" He says with a gentle rub of my hand.
" I haven't heard from my parents in 2 months" I say while I rub my eyes clear of the liquid once enclosed in them. " 2 months with no letters, it's so unlike them, I'm so scared something- I inhale- with all the news I'm hearing of muggle families going missing in the prophet... and I can't even do anything, I'm just supposed to sit here and wait till I either hear something or go home for the holidays next week and find their bodies in my living room" I take more deep breaths as I feel my heart rate spiking again.
"Oh dove" Remus cradles his arms around my head and pulls me into a hug.
"I'm just so tired, and done" I sigh into his arms.
"We're here for you, you know that right" Peter says.
"Just like you've been there for us through our baggage, let us be there for you" Sirius says as he kneels down and outs his hand on my folded up knee.
I pull out from the hug with Remus and wipe the stray tear from the corner of my eye.
"Thanks guys" I give a half-hearted smile hoping they can in-fact tell how much it means to me.

Lovely photo by @astarionposting
The night was young, and Astarion was relishing in the connections he was making with powerful individuals. He knew the importance of these relationships for his reputation.
However, his mood soured as several noblemen showed more interest in Tav. Multiple men were approaching her for dances, marriage proposals, and dates. Astarion’s jealousy grew at an all-time high with the attention Tav was attracting.
Rightfully so, Astarion knew Tav would easily capture people's hearts just as she did his.
Just then, a nobleman with a prim and prissy appearance sauntered over. His eyes gleamed with a lustful gaze as he took Tav’s hand, bringing it to his lips. “My dear, you are absolutely stunning,” he said, his words made Tav squirm uncomfortably, clutching onto the drink in her other hand.
She felt increasingly awkward and nervous while the nobleman continued to hold her hand, his touch unwelcome. Just then, Astarion came at her side, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her close to him. He shot a deadly glare at the prissy man, his eyes filled with anger.
Unfazed by Astarion he chuckled, "Is this weasel being a brood on you? I can offer you a helping hand." He winked.
Tch.
How dare this rat-faced man blatantly disrespect her and Astarion like that? Without a thought more, Tav threw her drink at him, splashing it all over his face.
And he must've seen red just by the way his snaggle tooth snarled at her.
“Forgive me, I didn’t realize I was such a damsel in distress,” Tav muttered, rolling her eyes and ripping her hand away from this random man.
Astarion was quick to retaliate with a sharp remark, "Of course, another royal who has little to no brain. She's mine."
He wiped the drink off his face with his sleeve, and his eyes had gone red from the alcohol. The man took a step closer and challenged Astarion with glaring eyes and balled fists. "Are you trying to pick a fight with me, pretty boy?"
Astarion clicked his tongue with a small giggle escaping his lips. How amusing this was. Actually, Astarion knew about this particular nobleman and his sneaky hobbies.
"I'd hurry along and do whatever pathetic thing you were doing. The Amaru family wouldn’t take kindly to learning about their son’s dirty intrusions into their business deals to feed his brothel obsession."
The man fell quiet and blinked a few times. With a soured face, he huffed at Astarion before backing off, not a word more. Astarion then squeezed Tav's waist and smiled.
In a fit of anger, the man stumbled over his own feet, falling over with the loudest thud in the room.
Astarion’s lips cracked into a smirk, satisfied with the embarrassing look on the man’s face, "See, when you talk to the right people, you get the right blackmail."
Tav chuckled at his cockiness, wrapping her arms around his bicep. She squeezed Astarion’s arms and batted those crystal eyes at him. There was a deep sense of protection with Astarion.
To feel important and wanted.
He admired her pearl eyes with a loving stare. His gaze lingered before trailing down to the soft glow cast on her breasts. A sly smirk spread across Astarion's face, tucking a loose strand of hair behind Tav's ear, and leaned in close, whispering seductively, “Fancy a bit of excitement?”
Tav’s face flushed at his words, turning her head side to side to scope out any on-lookers. “Here?” Her voice was barely above a whisper.
Astarion nodded confidently, a stupid grin plastered on his face. “I’ll find us a private spot, shouldn’t be too difficult.”
Tav returned his smirk with a cheeky grin of her own. She was still achey from the other night when he left her untouched. This was exciting, daring, and...sexy.
She bit her bottom lip, her adrenaline pumping. “Well then, what are you waiting for?”
Tav reached out for his hand, clutching it tightly in her shaky hands. Her adrenaline was kicking in and Astarion was already leading her away from the party’s crowd.
A mischievous glint danced in Astarion’s eyes as he guided her through the hallways of the grand estate, his touch sending shivers down her spine.
They passed by several closed doors until Astarion stopped at one and began jiggling the handle. With a soft click, the door swung open. It seemed to be an office with a desk sitting in the corner, papers scattered across its surface.
Astarion flashed Tav a sly grin before swiftly pulling her into the room, their laughter mingling in the air.
In a swift motion, he lifted Tav up by her thighs, her arms instinctively wrapping around his neck as she giggled. Their eyes met in a silent understanding between them for a moment as they leaned in for a searing kiss.
The room was soon filled with the sound of their kisses and heavy breathing. Tav slipped her tongue with his in a sloppy dance of desperation.
Astarion leaned over the desk and sat Tav perfectly with her legs spread wide open for him. She threaded her fingers through his white locs with a tug.
Astarion’s piercing gaze met Tav’s, and he leaned in to capture her lips. It was rough and sloppy, their tongues danced and their fangs clashed with each other.
Tav wrapped her hand around the waistband of Astarion's pants, tugging his already-hardened bulge closer.
Astarion pulled away, a seductive glint in his red stare, "Can't help yourself...I'm not surprised."
Tav purred in a sultry voice, "Not with you...not ever."
Astarion pressed kisses down Tav’s neck, causing her to kick her head back as his canines nipped at her skin. He continued to press his lips down to her breasts while his hand trailed up her thigh.
With a swift movement, he moved Tav’s panties aside and dipped his fingers into her wet warmth. Tav arched her back as his touch perfectly rubbed around her clit.
Astarion brought his mouth to Tav's ear, biting her ear lobe in a breathy tone, "Spread your legs, darling, That's it - Wider."
Obeying, her legs widened with a shaky twitched of excitement.
Only Astarion could make me feel this way.
Moans flowed out her mouth in a perfect melody that had Astarion working his best at her clit, rubbing in gentle smooth circles. His lips kissed and bit at her jawline, dampening her skin with his heavy breaths.
Tav's ankles quivered in bliss with moans full of desperation. His fingers coated in her wet slick and it drove him mad.
He lifted her dress, leaning over between Tav's legs, and spitting on her clit. His fingers instantly coated her folds in his saliva before thrusting 2 fingers into her. Astarion caught Tav's gasp into a kiss, fucking his fingers in and out of her roughly.
A loud whimpered muffled between his lips while her hips crashed against his hand.
"Keep moaning, that's it."
His fingers pumped in and out of her and Tav clutched onto Astarion’s arm, her head hanging back with her lips parted. Cries sweetly slipped out of Tav's mouth, "I-I don't want to cum without you inside me."
A demand? Maybe.
But a plea? Certainly.
"Very well, pet. You deserve it." he purred.
Tav felt the warmth of his fingers pull out of her as Astarion unbuckled his pants, sliding down each layer until his length sprung up.
She couldn’t tear her gaze away from him. She felt a sudden rush of excitement wash over her. She squirmed beneath him, her body betraying her impatience.
I need him.
I want him.
now.
With a sudden tug, Tav pulled Astarion closer to her, their bodies pressed tightly together. She could feel his warmth radiating off of him, and she reveled in the sensation.
Astarion chuckled at her eagerness, his breath hot against her skin. “Feel this?” His voice was low and hungry.
He grabbed her hand and overlapped it on his length, guiding her movements up and down his skin.
Tav nodded, "You’re already so hard for me?" She smirked, too caught up in the moment, too overwhelmed by the sensation of him against her.
“Always,” Astarion whispered while pressing his lips on the corners of her mouth.
With a hard swallow, her heart raced in her chest. She didn’t want it to stop. She wanted to feel him, to touch him, to be one with him.
Her hand jerked his length softly with his pre-cum before he became a groaning impatient mess. Astarion pressed his hips against Tav's entrance, placing himself perfectly on her wet core.
They gazed into each other's eyes in a knowing silence. His face fell into a seductive stare and it wasn't long until he curled over Tav's body, thrusting his hips into hers.
And inch by inch, feeding himself in the very place that begged for his every touch.
One arm wrapped around his body and the other fell around his neck. Her moans came in short gusts of air, the constant thrusts shook her body in mimic of the ocean's waves.
Tav kneaded her fingers between his white curls, tugging on them with each plunge into her. His scent burned into her lungs, leaving nothing but desire.
Astarion hung his head low and grunted against Tav's forehead, bucking his hips deeper into her. His hold on her was tight and everything around them melted into a sweet bliss.
No amount of power could make Astarion feel amazing the way he did with Tav when their bodies connected. The bitter-sweet truth of their love weakened Astarion of his hunger for power, and he knew this all too well.
She was able to crumble him more than he'd ever admit. Such an inconvenience it was when world domination was on his mind.
Astarion clutched desperately onto Tav's body, bucking his hips skillfully in her. The way she cried his name into his ear sent chills like electricity all through his body. It felt like she worshipped him.
That sweet, sweet, voice of hers.
Their skin like porcelain and licorice intertwined together in a knit embrace. their bodies gleamed in sweat as both their climaxes built up deep in their stomachs.
The force of their bodies clashing caused the papers littered on the desk to fall in all sorts of directions. Mixing with the sound of squeaky wood, crumpling paper, skin slapping, and moans.
Tav clutched onto Astarion with her arms and legs crying out in a whimper, "Mmph - S-stay right there...I-I'm almost there.."
Astarion nodded sloppily, connecting eyes with Tav in a hazy stare, "Yes, cum for me." His lips hung open and his words felt sincere and loving.
His hands gripped against the desk, his muscles starting to tense up in the process of this blissful high. Astarion could feel Tav's warm walls begin to twitch and squeeze around his cock.
Quickly, he stole a kiss from Tav, silencing her moans before they could escape. His gaze bore into hers, a mixture of hunger and love dancing in his eyes. But Tav’s breath caught in her throat, realizing just how loud she was being.
They were only doors away from the party after all.
Her eyes flickered between a hue of a yellow glow and white, her skin practically crawled with her wild shape twisting and bending beneath the surface of her skin.
Astarion wrapped his hand around her neck, and squeezed. He perfectly placed his thumb against the crook of her jaw, tightly forcing her face to meet his.
“Look at me.”
Tav choked against the force and gazed up at him with hazy glossy eyes.
A rush of wetness coated his cock as a yelp muffled between their kiss. Tav's body twitched and melted from the force of her undoing.
But Astarion's wasn’t done just yet.
He flipped her on her stomach, digging his nails into the plush of her hips, and ramming into her like a savage animal. Her eyes cried in the sensitivity and immense pleasure, crying out his name in a hoarse moan.
With one hand, he grabbed a hand full of Tav’s hair, dragging her head up and kissing her exposed neck. Her backside clashed against Astarion’s groin in a precise motion.
“Ahh…Clench.”
Tav purposely clenched her twitching walls around his length, whistle digging her hands onto the desk to keep stable.
His hips locked into Tav's, burying his length deep in her before pulling out, spilling his cum on her lower back, just below her back dimples. With a groan, Astarion slouched over Tav.
In a moment of weakness he whipsered to her, "When the time is right, I want to share something with you." It was something he wasn’t sure he’d regret saying out loud. But she was so…good to him.
Tav peeked at him, unknowingly squinting her eyes with a soft, "Hmm?"
“When the time is right.” Astarion pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead, “I think we should get leaving, love. Tonight’s been — eventful.”
Tav chuckled and turned around, reaching over and grabbing the handkerchief from his jacket pocket, “Here.”
With a satisfied smile Astarion wiped the juices off of her back before cleaning the excess cum off his tip.
She makes me want to be nice.
How...Horrible.
Let's keep this in the bedroom.

idk if this has been done before but Margo braiding Miles' hair? it seems basic but I feel like it would be super cute
thank you <333
Thanks for requesting! <3
No warnings except miles being a #gamer and the fact that I did not proofread this
"Come on, I could finish it in like, thirty minutes!"
"Yeah, after ripping all my hair out in the process."
Miles didn't take his eyes off of his monitor as Margo stood eagerly in the door frame, a clear makeup bag of hair supplies in her arms. The room was dim, the blinds having been shut to avoid any glare on the screen.
Miles wouldn't budge the first five times, but she'd get him today.
He sat with his knees pulled up to his chin in an old but sturdy leather swivel chair. Certainly not a traditional 'gaming chair', but he called it that.
"I'm real gentle, I promise!"
"I've seen you do your own braids,"
Miles executed a winning combo on his controller.
"and I told you I want no parts. Pun intended."
Margo pursed her lips, and thought for a moment.
"You still looking for a copy of 'Dandadan'?"
The boy paused the game, and gave her a sideways look.
"How did you know that?"
She shrugged, "Context clues. But that's not important. I can let you borrow mine--"
Miles lit up. "Really--?"
"--If you let me do your hair. Capiche?"
He paused, glancing at the sharp rat tail comb sitting in Margo's bag. Miles had blown most of his allowance for this week at Game Stop, so any new manga purchases would have to wait until Monday. Unless...
He sighed deeply, running a hand over his face.
"Fine."
Miles came to regret this decision as he sat in front of the living room couch between Margo's knees, wincing at every tug and pull.
"Is this the last section--ow!"
"Stop moving," Margo waved her wide-toothed comb around threateningly like a weapon. "You almost done, anyway. See?"
She put down the comb and grabbed a small mirror for him to look into. Save for a small tuft of un-braided hair, his entire head had been neatly cornrowed and shone with grease. There were about four total, and it had only been twenty-ish minutes or so.
After ten minutes more of pain and accusations of 'tender-headed-ness', Margo was finally done.
"You look so cute!" she chirped, clapping her hands together. "I'mma go wash my hands."
Miles rolled his shoulders and reached for the mirror to assess Margo's work. The braids tugged at his scalp as he turned his head at different angles, trying to get used to the look. His brows furrowed.
Miles' hair had stayed in more or less an afro since he could walk, with the exception of his mother's only attempt to sit him down and braid it when he was six.
...It did not go well.
The mass of hair became almost a part of his face. The cornrows made it feel like half of it was now missing. Weird stuff.
"D'you like it?" Margo asked, having emerged from the bathroom.
"It'll have to grow on me. I only did this for the free manga, remember?"
Margo's eyes widened, as if she just remembered something.
Very matter-of-factly, she said, "Oh, I lied about that."
"...What?"
Miles' face fell immediately as she knelt down and planted a kiss on his cheek.
"But you'll forgive me, right? I made you look cooler!"
Margo pulled him into a tight bear hug. He rolled his eyes.
"You might be right, but I'm gonna get you back for that. Better keep a close eye on...what's her name? Kimi?"
"Kuromi, dumbass," she picked up the comb from before and gently smacked him with it. "And don't touch my figurines. You won't walk outta my room alive."
"Count your days, man."

part one | part two | part three
Drenched rat was the only way to describe your appearance as the late evening downpour rained all over your parade. It had been one of those days that seemed to go on forever and there was nothing you wanted more than to see that last client waltz out of the studio and into those glorious Friday night shadows. Thank god it was the weekend.
"Any plans for the weekend, lovey?" Rae, your friend and closest co-worker asked from across the room, cleaning up her station for the last time this week.
You shrugged, not really having the mental capacity to even respond but she was being polite and the least you could do was answer.
"Maybe... My little brother's turning 21 and has reluctantly extended an invite my way so just loose plans at this stage. You?"
Rae went on to detail her jam-packed weekend with her husband, who like her was the life of every party. They were freshly married – only 3 months or so but they had been endgame since their college days apparently, which now seemed like a lifetime ago. Positivity exuded them wherever they went and you hated to admit that there was a pang of envy whenever they rocked up to after work drinks together or he dropped off her lunch that she'd left at home. Smitten by each other even after all these years.
All those little things festered away and created a small pit of jealousy in your stomach that you resented. You were happy, right? You had a successful career, a cute apartment and suitors 'round the block waiting for you to make up your mind and just fucking pick one of them. Anyone.
What Rae had was a once in a lifetime kind of love, you thought as the overhead lights were turned off and Patrick motioned for you to grab your shit and go home. The studio was cloaked in darkness as you squeezed through the small door, locked and loaded with an umbrella and a backpack filled with sketchbooks and diaries. And all you could do was pray that they were waterproofed enough to make the journey home.
"See ya Monday – and try to be on time, yeah?" Patrick arrogantly jabbed your way before disappearing out of sight and hopefully out of your life for the next 48 hours – or longer if you could get your shit together.
"Fucking arsehole," You muttered as Rae huddled under your umbrella, brushing your back with understanding.
"He doesn't know how to treat you because you intimidate him," She shook her long, black hair and rubbed her hands together, attempting to generate enough heat to keep warm as the thick fog rolled through the streets.
You shrugged, knowing that she was just trying to lighten the mood and send the week off with a positive – something she always liked to do for you, especially after a week filled with the same old bullshit. You were overbooked, overworked and wishing you were anywhere but here.
"It's nothing a really expensive bottle of wine can't fix," You half-joked and made sure Rae was sheltered before bidding her goodbye, "See you in hell on Monday."
Rae sent you a sullen wave, no doubt wishing she could've cheered you up just a little before going home to her seemingly perfect life. There wasn't much point trying when all attempts fell on deaf ears – nothing could pull you out of the perpetual cycle of drink, sleep, work, repeat. That was how it was and how it would always be and you had come to terms with that.
The short walk home from the studio was a miserable one, which was to be expected strolling the streets of London in the middle of December. But the glimmering lights reflected in the evening downpour and the smell of food cooking – sizzling kebab if you had to really hone in on the smokey, chargrilled scent wafting through the cool air, made it a little more bearable than usual. That didn't mean much considering nothing had brought you joy for months. Not even the discreetly packaged vibrator your best friend had left in a box on your doorstep with a sticky note saying, 'you deserve it'. Tragic.
You grumbled quietly to yourself, noticing a nosy neighbour standing beside the entrance to your building, waiting for either you or a cab. It was always hard to tell. She was an older lady who loved to pry and nothing gave her more pleasure than to bundle people up and have a chat. She was harmless and meant well but the last thing you needed tonight was an ambush.
"Sorry Effie, I have to get upstairs and get out of these wet clothes."
You got in first with the excuse and she simply smiled and waved. Effie knew the trials and tribulations of a London winter since she'd lived here all her life, simply wishing you a wonderful weekend and making you feel bad for brushing her off.
The apartment was cold and dimly lit as you flicked on the kitchen light and chucked your backpack down on the couch with a huff. You hoped it would feel better being home after a long day but you knew you had no food, no company and a cold bed waiting for you upstairs. All things that made it impossible to look on the bright side.
"Fuck. My. Life," You groaned into the fridge and slammed it shut, internally wishing past you had organised something for dinner.
You did as you told Effie and went upstairs to change into something comfier and less wet – a tracksuit set, combat boots and new beanie to cover the bird’s nest you called a "hairstyle". The floor length raincoat you should've taken to work was waiting for you at the front door – almost taunting your never-ending brain fades. You scooped up your keys and scarf and headed downstairs again, hoping that Effie had left to wherever the hell she was going on a Friday night. The fact a 70 year old woman had more of a social life should've worried you more but you were too tired to care.
By now it was a quarter to midnight and there was really only one option to get anything resembling food this late since the closest Waitrose was a 10-minute walk away. You had already burnt your bridge there by rocking up at closing time, forcing them to keep the tills open so you could buy emergency ice cream. You couldn't show your face there ever again.
The bright blue and red lights spilling into the puddles that were still filling from the rain was a welcomed sight. It was the only sign of life for miles, besides yourself and you were grateful having a 24-hour Tesco Express right around the corner. Capitalist convenience was in working order. The florescent lights were not as pleasant as you walked in and triggered the bell hanging over the automatic doors.
A familiar voice sang out your name, greeting you from behind the counter with a half-arsed smile adorning his kind face. You grabbed a basket and gave him a wave.
"Hi Kev," You meekly returned and continued on your way down the aisles, hoping to find a few things that would tide your hunger over until the sun came up.
You stopped at the confectionary section and perused for a second, debating whether a sugar hit this late in the night was the responsible adult thing to do. Your mum's authoritarian voice rang in your ears as you reached out and grabbed a bag of skittles, smiling to yourself as you dropped them into the basket. That smile had been the first of the day, maybe even of the week and it felt nice for a split second to feel the weight lifting from your shoulders.
"Late dinner?"
The voice came from a few steps away and belonged to a smirking stranger. He was taller than you, even hunched over the bargain bin he was rifling through. His hair was curly and sopping wet and it was hard to tell if it was just dark because of that or naturally, but your confused gaze connected with his and the smile that had just been on your cold face had disappeared.
"Excuse me?" You quietly asked and stared into his icy blue eyes, prepared to strike with a snarky comeback or two.
"The skittles," He pointed to your basket, "That used to be my evening meal a few years ago until I realised I was an addict and had to get help."
The kind smile on his face softened your stern expression, "Oh, right... Well I'm glad you found the help you needed. Maybe I should too," You tried to muster a joke and he laughed – loudly.
Nobody laughed like that at anything you had said lately because most of the things you did say were either dripping in sarcasm or laced with self-deprecation. Both weren't cute or endearing the longer it became apart of your personality. But he liked your joke enough to give you a boost of serotonin and your smile was back –even brighter than before.
"I did but you should definitely level it out with something else – maybe something chocolaty," The mystery man nodded towards the rows of chocolate bars lining the racks in front of you, now openly encouraging your bad habit.
His accent was different to what you were used to – British, kind of upperclass, kind of not but laced with something else and you were intrigued. Maybe even a little mesmerised by the way he stood his ground, making small talk to a complete stranger in the middle of the night. He looked cozy too, tracksuit clad like you, giving zero fucks about how you fashionable you looked, or really what anyone thought. Comfy, friendly, warm – he was different.
"Great suggestion but I think this will do enough damage," You replied, making him chuckle again.
"I'll live my junk food fantasies vicariously through you," He said before he turning on his heel and making his way to the register at the front of the store, humming to himself.
You could hear his boisterous yet kind voice as you grabbed a pre-mixed salad and lined up behind him, "Thanks man – have a great night," He said to Kevin who no doubt appreciated a friendly face this late in the night.
The stranger sent one lasting smile your way and said 'hope you do too' before he exited with his bag of almonds and a coconut water. Simple and nutritious – which was more than you could say about your late night dinner choices.
With a genuine pep in your step and your items safely tucked under your arm, you left the shop feeling a lot lighter than you did when you walked in and that was something unexpected. A polite run in with a stranger was an unlikely mood-booster but you were clinging to it while it lasted. That was until you noticed a shadowy figure walking up ahead as you rounded into your street and slowed down, but the person heard your footsteps loud and clear.
Internally cursing yourself for wearing the loudest boots you owned, you relaxed a little when you realised it was the man from the store, who had thrown a thick puffer jacket over his orange hoodie. There was a short pause as your eyes met and a puzzled look flashed across his flushed face, wind blown.
"I'm not stalking you," You said in hopes of easing his confusion, "I live here."
You pointed to the large wooden door that led into your apartment building as you tugged your jacket closed, trying to trap any warmth left in your body. The man turned around and looked to where you were pointing before spinning back with a soft chuckle, "And I live there."
He gestured to the building across the small side street you were both standing in, looking as bewildered as each other. It was your turn to laugh as the penny dropped – you were neighbours.
"Small world," You humorously replied and took a few long strides past him. As cute as he was in the darkness, you were frozen solid and needed to thaw out as soon as possible otherwise you'd be asking him for a ride to the hospital.
"See you around?" He asked more as a question than a statement and you nodded with a small, chattering smile.
"Yep," You simply replied and buzzed yourself into the building, shivering beneath all the layers you'd put on before leaving. Even though you were smiling through gritted teeth and feeling warmth from the fleeting conversation, the several layers of clothing and a genuine smile from a stranger weren't even enough to keep you from hypothermia. You couldn't wait to get upstairs and sit by the heater, wishing you were in some quaint country cabin far, far away.
"Yep... Just keep the peel on until tonight and then wash your thigh with that soap I gave you... Yep, warm water is perfect and make sure you put on a thin layer of cream after that... It’ll probably be a little red but I promise you’ll heal perfectly so don't stress," You reassured your client who had gotten her first ever tattoo yesterday.
Your work was rewarding in so many ways but the pressure of working for someone else came with it's unique challenges. There was nothing you wanted more than to open up your own little tattoo shop with Rae and live your life the way you wanted to – not the way some washed up muso envisioned. With a few more words of encouragement, you managed to reassure your client and begin your Saturday, doing a whole lot of nothing.
The sun was shining at least and you figured you might as well enjoy some of what the day had to offer before your night out later this evening. Your brother had given you strict instructions on when and where his birthday drinks were going to be and you knew then that making an appearance at this thing was now a non-negotiable. You couldn't be seen as the flaky older sister again and you didn't want to let him down – that relationship was one of very few that were sacred in your life and turning 21 was a big deal.
It wasn't long until you were strapping on your heels, sticking a couple more bobby pins into the messy bun you were trying to tame and trotting down the staircase, ready to mingle. You had been single now for much longer than you would've liked and although there had been moments of weakness, nothing had amounted to more than a shitty one-night stand. And it was infuriating.
A complete exodus from dating apps hadn't helped your cause but you couldn't handle another ghosting, especially not from some grubby dude who had no right being anywhere near you. You had standards that were high and there was nothing wrong with that – until a couple of gin and tonics are consumed and you forget you were even human. All of a sudden your standards have left the building along with you and said grubby dude.
"Hey!" A voice echoed from across the street as you closed the building door and glanced around with furrowed brows, wondering who was calling out your way.
That's when you spotted him – the man from last night who you couldn't stop thinking about, even if you didn't want to admit it. He looked different in the daylight and definitely lived up to parts of the vision you'd conjured after your random meeting in the street. The curls were there, as were the light blue eyes that caught your attention but he was younger than you first thought, a lot younger which was an important detail that you'd missed in the darkness. One you wished you had of noticed before summoning those late-night thoughts.
"Hi again," You greeted with crossed arms, trying to cover the somewhat revealing dress underneath your jacket.
You quickly clocked his athleisure wear and concluded that he was probably going to the gym with his friend who was trailing closely behind him. They were both full of smiles as you crossed the road, figuring you had to wait for your cab anyway so you might as well have company.
"I realised after I went in last night that I didn't even introduce myself – I'm Lando," He said and held out his hand for you to shake.
"Well in our defence it was super late and my brain was definitely mush," You replied and grasped his warm hand, introducing yourself.
You'd be lying if you didn't say there was a small, flash of something resembling a spark as you shook his hand. A little buzz of excitement that in the moment you chalked up to being super alone and outrageously horny. Desperate didn't even begin to describe the mess that was your sex life and with that in mind, your snap reaction of having undeniable chemistry with him was probably not accurate. But whether it was a figment of your imagination or not, it was still a valid feeling and you were going to have to bury that shit.
"Nice to put a name to the face," Lando smiled and turned to his friend who up until this point had remained quiet, "This is my father, Carlos."
You knew he was pulling your chain, or at least you hoped he. His friend shoved him in the side, fervently shaking his head, "Clearly not his father but Hola," He sheepishly greeted, voice laced with a thick accent and a smile that would make any sane individual with two eyes and a pulse melt in place.
"I was gonna say that's a little suss but I don't judge without context."
You glanced between the two men with a smirk and held your hands up – making them both chuckle quietly. They also eyed each other, a silent nod following that you couldn’t quite decipher. It was fleeting, almost so much so that if you blinked, you would’ve missed it. Maybe you wished you did because now you were cursing yourself for not taking that body language class at university all those years ago. Pointless and too bohemian for your liking, you thought at the time but now, standing on a rain gutter, you regretted passing such haste judgment. Their unspoken conversation infuriated you internally as Lando looked back at you with an awkward smile.
"Nah, I'm an appropriately aged guy and definitely not a child..." Lando trailed off and clumsily scratched the back of his neck, "Don't know what I mean by that but um yeah, not his son obviously." He was fumbling, frantically trying to change the subject but instead looked down at his dirty white sneakers with a grimace, internally face-palming himself.
You bit down on your mauve coloured bottom lip and tried to conceal the smile threatening to reveal itself. He was cute. Awkward? Absolutely. A little dorky with his oversized hoodie and boyish grin? You could say that but he was still kind of cute nonetheless.
"Obviously," You replied sweetly and noticed your uber pulling up outside your apartment building, ready to take you somewhere you could drown your shitty week away.
"Nice to officially meet you and your dad – see you around." You winked and maintained eye contact with Lando before strutting across the street and jumping in your uber.
You wondered what they said once you were gone and whether you looked better in broad daylight or in the shadows of the night. Your intrusive thoughts were quickly pushed aside when you realised he was more than likely taken, or not interested. Or more importantly, way too young for you to even be having these thoughts about. The good ones never were right for you – there was always something. It was like a curse that you'd picked up somewhere along the way – a curse that forbid any man with a job and their shit together to look your way twice. You were invisible to those men lately and you couldn't help but blame yourself.
With a mission to find someone to take your mind off those negative thoughts, you ordered your first drink, and then your second drink and you guessed it – your third and fourth in quick succession. You swore the dance floor was falling out from under your feet as your brother and his girlfriend scooped you up and called you an Uber. The night was over before it had even begun and you knew you'd be filled with regret in the morning. But right now, you were just lucky to be standing upright.
"Will you be okay?" Your brother asked as you flopped into the back of the car, giggling like a schoolgirl.
"Pfft, I'm a professional drinker," You hiccupped and covered your mouth, "I'll be fine – driver, take me home!"
The uber driver mumbled something under his breath and punched in the address your brother had given him, no doubt sick of trashed girls on the brink of vomiting, flailing around in the back of his car. You were a mess and attempting to cover that up by drinking wasn't doing you any favours. In fact you knew it was only going to make you feel worse – especially tomorrow.
"Alright, you're home," The driver said loudly, waking you up from the quick nap you decided to take in the backseat, blaming the warmth for lulling you to sleep.
"Make sure you grab everything."
A scoff slipped past your lips as you gathered your bags, "I know what I'm doing," You retorted, not realising that you were probably slurring every word and most definitely making absolutely no sense to someone who was stone-cold sober.
You closed the door and nearly fell forward over the gutter doing so, trying to balance in the heels that had caused your feet to go numb. The black car drove off and you waved like a maniac, thinking you were hilarious before rummaging through your handbag for your keys. You could barely see through blurry vision and the cold air made every inch of you exposed skin tingle as you stumbled into the brick wall of your building. At least you were home.
"Fuck," You hissed to yourself as you dug through the bag and saw nothing but a dark void. It was an impossible task without the flash on your phone to light the way.
The sound of a car door slamming shut across the street startled you out of your intoxicated rage, causing a few items to tumble from your handbag, including your phone. And there he was again, dressed smartly this time – the mystery man who's name you couldn't quite remember in your drunken state. You turned away and frantically started looking for your keys again, hoping to God he wouldn't come over and see you looking like a complete mess. Famous last thoughts.
"Early night?" His innocent question echoed through the empty street and you closed your eyes, knowing there was no way you could avoid him now – especially since you were locked out of your apartment with nowhere to go.
You bashfully looked up through your fake eyelashes and sent him a lazy smile, "Yeah, didn't quite uhm, end up – end up the way I expected," You managed to stammer through your sentence, hoping he could understand some of what you were saying.
"Well we've all been there... Do you need help?" He asked and looked down at your hands that were full, "Because you've dropped a couple of things in the gutter..."
You looked down and realised you'd dropped not only your phone but also your purse, a powder compact and a small sketchbook, "I'm – I'm a real fucking idiot and I've lost my keys... I think... I think I left them in the uber," You confessed and conceded the obvious. You were locked out of your apartment in the dead of an English winter, dressed like an expensive escort. A disaster.
"Ah, crap. Have you given anyone a spare key?"
The glimmer in his eyes as you looked up from your bag made your heart skip a little in your chest. He was handsome, the curls you’d clocked falling onto his forehead as he stood up, and you couldn't stop staring until he snapped you out of your trance, your name falling effortlessly from his chapped, shivering lips, breath causing a thick fog to form in front of your confused face.
"Oh... uhm, my – my friend... ah shit what's her name?... God, what is wrong with me," You grumbled, breath mingling in the cold air as you rubbed your face, "What's your name again?"
"It's Lando," He kindly replied with a soft chuckle and tucked away the objects he’d picked up for you, knowing there was no way you would be able to do any of that in the state you were in.
“Lando,” You repeated quietly, “Like the star trek dude? I’ve never seen it but… that’s right, right?” Even you could hear your incoherent mumblings, making yourself physically cringe because he was too polite to correct you, “Just stop talking, idiot.” You whispered to yourself, or at least you hoped he didn’t hear you. He did.
"Definitely named after the dude in star trek,” He chuckled softly and scanned the empty street, wondering what the hell he was going to do with a drunk, helpless woman.
He couldn’t leave her like this but he also had plans – a blind date that had been sprung on him and set up by Carlos at the gym. Sure, he had been regretting saying yes to it but he hadn’t been out on a date in months, maybe longer and he was sick of the late night hook up that had become too much of a regular occurrence, though completely random. He wanted more than that, something worth his precious time and he didn’t need the drama that came from the one-night stands. It didn’t even matter how good it felt in the moment. Occupied sheets and empty promises didn’t keep him warm at night. It made him physically ill.
But now he was faced with what was obviously a challenge – a beautiful mess of a rescue mission.
“Look, why don't you come in out of the cold and we'll call your nameless friend who has your spare key?"
Your eyebrows furrowed and you blinked a couple of times before looking at the locked door beside you, "I can't go inside because *hiccup* I've lost my keys... I think I left 'em in that uber... But he was just here, I swear..."
Lando stifled a giggle again and slowly nodded, "Yep, we've been over that but I meant my place. Not sure if you remember this but I live over the street from you... Right there," He gestured towards the opposite building and you rolled your eyes.
"I know that, buddy," You sarcastically retorted, "I'm not stupid." You were slurring up a storm and he simply smiled in response – his patience was commendable.
"My apologies... But I'm freezing and you're turning blue so come on – I promise I'm not a weirdo," He held out his hand and nodded towards his building, blue eyes glimmering under the dim streetlight.
You sighed and linked your icy fingers with his, "You better not be a weirdo..." You rasped and let him guide you over the road, silently enjoying clinging to his muscular bicep and watching his ringlets blowing in the wind.
As you let your entire body weight brush against his arm, you felt something sharp digging into your ribs, a foreign object that you swore wasn’t there before. You stopped in your tracks, leaving Lando confused as you reached into your jacket pocket and pulled out a set of keys – "Wow."
“Oops,” You grimaced, goofy grin instantly sweeping across your face when Lando looked down at your hands, chuckling at you as you stumbled out of his grasp, “Guess you don’t get to murder me tonight, Lawrence!”
“Not even close,” He shuffled back with a smile and observed your every move, ready to swoop in if you did stack it in the middle of the street. You were like a baby giraffe, clomping across the damp asphalt in your heels, giggling to nobody. “You know where I live if you need anything.”
“Yeah, yeah!” You shouted back, trying your best to smoothly exit the situation and from your perspective, you were killing it.
But reality was a cruel, unforgiving beast – and you were failing miserably to play it cool as you toppled through the building door and nearly face-planted into the couch nestled in the foyer. It was a miracle that you didn’t fall, Lando thought as a smitten grin surfaced on his frost bitten cheeks while he walked upstairs to his own apartment, drafting the dreaded ‘sorry I can’t make it' text but feeling no regret at all.
You were all he could think about for the rest of the night – a beautiful hurricane rolling through his life for the briefest of moments, a burst of long wavy hair, trench coat fluttering in the wind and for a second he wished, deep down that maybe you had lost your keys. As quickly as that thought crossed his mind, he shooed it away – knowing already that you were out of his league, hell, you weren’t even playing the same sport. What the fuck was he going to do if he did get you up here, away from civilisation where it was just the two of you? God help him.
From a distance, you seemed sophisticated, witty, chaotic fun – all traits that had him staring at his ceiling, soundlessly wondering when he would see you again. Soon, he hoped.
“Six tequila shots, Jen! We’re celebrating!” You yelled over the loud EDM music blasting through the club, the smell of testosterone and Acqua di gio aftershave mixing in the already thick, humid air.
“Of course, girl! What are we celebrating?” The bartender asked smiling from ear to ear. Jen, who by day was a barista at your local café, had become one of your closest friends in the city and was always cheering you on from the sidelines while serving you the best coffee in London.
“I quit my soul sucking job and told Patrick to shove it up his arse!” You shouted, waving your arms in the air along with your best friend who had insisted on helping commemorate this magnificent occasion, “I finally bit the bullet and did it, Jen and I feel bloody amazing!”
Jen leaned over and grasped your forearms, “Super proud of you, sis. ‘Bout fucking time you did something for yourself.”
You couldn’t argue with that. She was right.
It had been a week since your drunken run in with your neighbour. Humiliating was the first thought that came to mind, head thumping for days following. You hadn’t seen him since that ill-fated night and there was a small part of you that searched for him whenever you left for work, eyes quickly glancing across the street in case fate was working your favour and he was leaving too. Happenstance.
But you were never that lucky and the week had gone from bad to worse at work – your boss had finally lost the plot and you were done, once and for all. No amount of love for your craft was worth being berated by a self-righteous, egotistical arsehole. He’d pushed too far and you were out of there, rucksack haphazardly slung across your shoulders and a smile bigger than the moon on your face. You were free – until the reality of unemployment hit.
London was your home and it had been for the better part of a decade, working at different tattoo parlours, building a solid client list along the way until you’d reached the top and now, finally opting out of the cruel, unrelenting torture that was working under Patrick. Life was too short and your thirties were well underway, that biological clock forever ticking while everyone else seemed to be settling down, buying that dream house with a picket fence. That wasn’t for me, you told yourself so you could sleep at night.
So much of your life was based around career goals and aspiration, so many of those things had been ticked off before your thirtieth birthday last year and it left you wondering where the time had gone. Your twenties had whizzed by faster than your teens and it made that hole in your heart, where you presumed personal goals were supposed to live feel emptier than ever. Especially when those friends you’d stayed in touch with since high school were having their second or third baby, getting married, some for the second time. Where had the time gone?
It was passing you by and even though you gave yourself that pep talk late at night, looking up at your ceiling, questioning whether you would ever find someone to share it all with or if you even wanted that, time continued to tick. Fleeting memories, first dates, and awkward one-night stands – they were all you really had in terms of a love life. The term ‘love life’ was probably over reaching, because if it was a life, it was fucking tragic.
But it was all you had. That and a kickass group of friends who had your back, setting you up with their husbands cute friends, until they turned out to be misogynistic arseholes, or worse – secretly married. In a population of 9 million, you would think there would be a plethora of kind, sweet men but you couldn’t seem to find one. And that led to the one question that did keep you up at night – maybe it’s me. Am I the problem?
“Babe, you’ve got it all. A gorgeous apartment, a beautiful puppy, you’re going to accomplish the dream you’ve had since you were 14 years old! There’s so much going for you that having a guy means nothing. And fuck men, honestly. I’m so glad we’re out here doing this because I’m one wet towel away from killing Jamie,” You couldn’t help but laugh at your best friend, Winnie.
“I’m serious!” And she was, the deadpan expression never faltering as you put your hands up for protection.
“I got you, I’m with you,” You defended, “I guess I just see everything else falling into place, even though my career path is a little murky right now but I’ll work that out… Love is the one thing I can’t figure out. What am I doing wrong?”
Winnie laughed and gripped your shoulder endearingly, “You are hot, like super hot. They are the issue, not you! Okay…” She trailed off and pushed another shot in your direction.
“Tonight’s the night. We are going to find you a cutie, someone fun. And it might just be a meaningless fuck like the rest but let’s deal with that in the morning,” She hiccupped, already tipsy from the shots.
You smiled and sweetly nodded, knowing that her intentions were coming from a good place but stomaching empty promises had become a regular occurrence. You’d lost count of how many guys she’d set you up with or found through dating apps when you went to the bathroom and came back to find her scrolling through, squealing every time a guy she liked matched with you. It all just felt pointless – and a little desperate. Okay, maybe a lot desperate but you appreciated her trying to help.
So you let her pull you through the crowd to where the rest of your friends were standing, all pouring shots down their throats and getting “wild”. A group of women in their early 30s, most with a kid or two or hadn’t been out to a club in months, some years. It was carnage but you appreciated them all coming out to celebrate you. It gave you something to hold onto even when the rest of your personal life was slowly sinking like the titanic, no safety boat in sight.
Until – you heard your name, loud and clearly from behind your friend. The voice was familiar, oddly so, like you’d imagined it somewhere along the lines and it wasn’t real. Lando’s face bobbed up from the side, smile adorning his sweet face, enthusiastic wave quickly followed and you returned it, the same smile too. His cheeks were flushed and eyes slightly bloodshot. You could tell he was tipsy.
“Hello stranger,” You greeted shyly, not knowing how to approach and apologise for the shameful display you showed last weekend. But before you could even get another word out, you were being pulled into a hug, a loose, one arm kind of hug but a hug nonetheless.
He was warm, perspiring ever so slightly as your cheek brushed across his damp neck, no doubt caused by the high humidity inside the club that was pumping. The lingering scent of Dior Sauvage mixed with a woody scented shampoo were notes you picked up on as your arm slipped around his waist, gently giving him a squeeze before you pulled away, half-heartedly.
“Glad you’re alive and well!” Lando shouted over the loud music, still beaming as you leaned in a little closer, “I am so, so, so sorry about last weekend… I’m not usually – well, no sometimes I get a little too heavy handed with my good friends gin and tonic but that was next level and not at all who I am typically… Just yeah, super embarrassed!”
Lando nodded empathetically, “Don’t be. You were, and I mean this is the nicest possible way; you were the most entertaining part of my week… So you’re drinking gin and tonic, yeah?” He asked, glancing down at your empty hands before turning to the bartender and hailing him over.
“Just a gin and tonic and a corona, please mate.”
Lando swivelled back your way, still grinning while he took in your surroundings, “Girls night out?” He asked, curious as to why you were out with your friends.
“Sort of,” You began to explain before graciously accepting the drink he had bought you, “I quit my crappy job and they insisted we celebrate – but between you and me, I think they’re just bored of their husbands and kids." Your whisper made him laugh, that serotonin boost lighting up your senses again, just like it did a week ago when you first met. Sparks flying.
“Makes sense," He nodded with a furrowed brow, looking serious before cracking a smile, "Congrats on quitting your shitty job, I’m sure your boyfriends here celebrating with you too, no?”
There was a glint in his eyes as they scanned the room and landed back on yours, eagerly awaiting your response. You didn’t give it to him straight away, letting him stew on that question for a couple seconds longer than humane, until he took a sip of his beer, finding something to occupy himself with while you left him there hanging.
“No boyfriend.”
Your answer was simple – to the point and Lando appreciated that as he let go of the deep sigh rattling around in his chest. Was he being nosy? Absolutely but he was also hedging his bets, knowing that if you did have a boyfriend and you looked like that then he wouldn’t have his two front teeth by the end of the night. He had to know for certain before he bought you another drink. And definitely before he asked you to dance.
There was barely a millimetre, if that between your body and his, only losing the warmth of his embrace when he twirled you around, giggling like teenagers who were superficially falling in love for the night. Your friend was the one who broke up the party, insisting that she said goodbye to you before leaving to relieve her babysitter.
“Everyone’s gone home and I think I’m gonna head off too,” She yelled before tugging you closer, “But have fun with your boy toy,” She whispered into your ear, her smirk telling as you pulled back and rolled your eyes.
“Stop it. It’s just a bit of harmless dancing,” You scoffed in return, but she’d known you since you were knee high to a grasshopper, practically experiencing all of life’s milestones in tandem – until she found her prince charming and had his babies, a betrayal like no other.
“Sure, sure,” She winked because she knew that there was a 90% chance that you wouldn’t make it home, or if you did, it was only because your place was closer than his, “Call me tomorrow morning when you get home.”
The cheek, you thought as she strutted off into the crowd, disappearing into the stormy London night. You were at a crossroads, standing in the middle of the club and searching the room for Lando. He’d given you space to speak with your friend, a subtle sign of respect while he rushed to the bathroom and splashed his face with water.
Get it together, he muttered, cursing his rosy cheeks and uncooperative curls, the bundle of ringlets gathering like a nest on the crown of his head. He didn’t want to look shabby in front of you, especially since he'd identified your expensive perfume and had noticed the red-bottomed heels adorning your feet. You were the uptown girl they were talking about in that song, the tune now on the tip of his tongue as he pushed through the bathroom door, whistling along to the silent song stuck in his head.
And there you were, lost in the crowd, searching. He wondered for a second whether you were looking for him or if your friend had just come over to tell you something and she was coming back. But when your eyes met, you smiled big. Grinning and relieved to see those bright blue eyes drawing you in from across the room, a familiar face to ease your nerves. You glided to him like a magnet magically pulling you both to the halfway point, hands immediately reaching, needy to feel the others touch again.
Winnie’s words rang in your ears, so sure of herself and what she knew about you. Your bad habits. You wanted to spite her and bid Lando farewell but when you watched his tongue swiping across his pouty bottom lip and that boyish smile tug at the corners of his mouth again, you were done for – hook, line and sinker.
“Do you wanna get out of here?”

So, everyone, I do my best to be as transparent as possible on this blog, so that others will learn from my mistakes. I fuck up a lot.
Treasure got into the little coop today - the one with the little cockerels in it. I was taking her out for a potty break, on her leash, and I saw the little guys were low on water so I opened the coop quickly to grab the waterer to refill it. Only, I fumbled with the waterer and, quick as lightning as twice as strong, Tess launched herself into the coop and snatched one of the little cockerels. I, like, pried open her jaws and got him out quickly, but it was terrifying. The poor boy wasn’t hurt at all, which I’m endlessly thankful for. Tess’s teeth are super worn down, she basically doesn’t have canine or incisor teeth so maybe that softened the blow, or maybe she wasn’t really trying to kill him, I don’t know.
The shelter was wrong when they said she doesn’t have a prey drive, she sure does. They were also wrong about her age and energy level. I know they’re not a physical shelter, just a network of foster homes and volunteers, but I wish I could have made a more informed decision. And I had no idea pit bulls used to be used for rat hunting. They’re my favorite breed of dog, and have been since I was a kid so I always wanted one, but if I had known that I’d probably have looked for another breed. But now she’s here and, no matter how much chaos she causes, I’m head over heels for her. So she’ll stay far, far away from both chicken coops. It’s sad that my two loves can’t get along like I had hoped, but there’s nothing I can do other than try to keep everyone safe. I’ll talk to the dog trainer about it on Monday, and see if she can be trained to leave them alone, but if not I’ll just have to be super careful from now on. Poor Tess, I know she’s just following her instincts because the new surroundings are overwhelming her, and no matter what I can’t be mad at her.

Friendly Sex - Chapter 11 - The Cheerleader
Hey everyone, sorry for the delay in uploading, life has been kicking my ass. Fingers crossed Chapter 12 will be up over the next couple of days, I thank each and every one of you for sticking through this with me. This chapter is very dialogue heavy, so apologies if that's not your vibe, and there isn't any smut. But we have lots of angst yay!
Chapter warnings: MDI (18+ only), explicit language, smoking, underage drinking (USA), ANGST.
_______________________________________________
You eventually give your dad the highly abridged version of events. You had been seeing a boy from school, the boy he disapproved of from the parking lot, which did not garner the best reaction, and that things had come to an abrupt and messy end.
Only your dad could cuddle the life out of you whilst simultaneously grounding you for the foreseeable, school and work being the only exceptions to the rule, otherwise you were on house arrest. You had spent the rest of the evening crying in his arms, whilst he muttered reassurances.
Monday rolled around overcast and dull, but you were exceptionally glad for the long weekend, finding it hard to believe what had happened within the last 72hrs. Your only plan was to spend the day stagnating in your own misery, so it’s a surprise when Robin turns up at your bedroom door just before 11am with a bag full of chocolate, you feel your bottom lip wobble at the sight of your best-friend.
“You look like shit.” She sighs, dropping heavily on the bed and taking you into her arms, smoothing out your ratted hair, rocking you back and forth. “Your dad called me, figured you needed some female support. I take it everything is fucked?”
“I’ve messed up so bad Robin, I - how could I do it to him?” You whimper tearfully, your throat constricted with sobs, head in her lap. “I can’t go to school tomorrow, I can’t face him.” You shudder, the guilt overwhelming you. “And then there’s Steve, everything is ruined.”
“Steve-? What about Steve?” She asks sharply.
Robin spent the next hour screaming down your phone to Steve, not even your dad dared telling her to moderate her language.
“Are you a fucking moron Harrington?! Have you learnt nothing?!”
“No - no don’t give me that shit. God, I can’t believe I'm friends with such an extraordinary idiot! I leave you alone for a day Steve, a goddamn day!”
“I don’t care dingus, you’re making this right - yes - yes you are. This is some real King Steve crap, you know that?!”
“Good, I'm glad you feel like shit, it’s nothing compared to how Y/n feels! And Eddie! - Of course I knew, unlike you I'm not a blind idiot.”
“She doesn’t want to talk to you. You should be talking to Nancy, you know your girlfriend?”
“Uh-huh - yeah - no I’ll walk - because I don’t wanna ride with you - the Russians are gone Steve - ok fine see you in the morning - but you’re still a douchebag.”
_______________________________________________
Your dad drops you to school the following morning, with a firm command that he would be picking up again at 4pm on the dot. You look rough, there’s no other word for it. Robin had coaxed you into taking a perfunctory shower for the sake of hygiene before she left, but you had gone to bed with your hair still wet; now haphazardly piled on your head like a bird’s nest, wearing your baggiest clothes as though the fabric could hide you from the world. You were so caught up in your misery that you walked straight into Dustin, his arms shooting out to steady you. Where there was Dustin there was Steve, leaning against the hood of his car looking guilty, Robin shooting daggers at him.
“You ok Y/n?” Dustin asks concerned.
“I’m good, thanks Dustin, sorry for -” You trail off gesturing at your collision.
“Oh it’s no biggie, I’m a strong guy, I can take it.” He grins toothily, sweet kid, patting you clumsily on the arm. Robin pushes Steve towards you, where he stands scruffing his sneakers against the asphalt in a most un-Steve-like fashion.
“Can we talk?” He asks quietly, not meeting your eye.
“I have nothing to say to you.” You say, crossing your arms defensively.
“Please, Y/n, I want - I want to make things right between us.” He pleads softly, you glance at Robin who nods in a ‘give him a chance’ sort of way.
“Fine, you get 10 minutes.” You huff, throwing yourself into the passenger seat.
There was a time, not so long ago, that you would have given anything to be sat alone with Steve in his precious BMW, now you feel borderline claustrophobic as he drives a little ways from the school, pulling off a small dirt road killing the engine.
“Thanks for agreeing to speak to me - it’s more than I deserve.” He sighs.
“You got that right, what the hell were you thinking?” You snap, staring resolutely out the passenger window.
“I wasn’t thinking, I just - I care so much about you honey -” Steve reasons, but you see red, cutting him off.
“You’ve got a funny way of showing it Steve, if you wanted to be mad at someone it should have been me, not Eddie.” You force his name out through clenched teeth, eyes once again swimming with tears. “So why now? Why the sudden interest?” You ask sharply, wiping angrily at your cheeks, turning to finally look at him. He’s slumped down in his seat, one hand pressed to his forehead.
“Things between me and Nancy haven’t been good lately, I thought after everything that happened last year we were back on track, but I think she just wanted some familiarity after Jonathon upped and left. The things that broke us up last time are still there, I want to work on them y’know but Nance - she just keeps pushing me away.” He says sadly.
“So you thought you’d ruin my relationship to make yourself feel better?” You snipe petulantly, not in the mood to listen to Steve’s woes.
“No - no that’s not what I wanted.” He sighs deeply again, sitting up straighter. “But - you were right yesterday, what you said about me not noticing you before, I took you for granted. These past two months you’ve been so talkative, and funny, and you just started to - I don’t know - shine?”
“Because of Eddie.” You mumble.
“I guess so.” Steve nods slowly in agreement.
“So you noticed me and thought I'd just leap into your arms the minute you wanted me to?” You ask flatly.
“I thought - maybe if some random guy had a shot and things weren’t serious -” Steve struggles to find the words before nodding again, this time in defeat. “Yeah I guess that’s exactly what I thought.”
You snort in derision, picking at a small rip on the knee of your jeans, two months ago you would have run to Steve like a dog being called back to its owner and the thought makes you embarrassed. The hold he had over you and yet hadn’t even been aware of it.
“Stacey Sharp’s 14th birthday.” You mutter.
“Huh?” Steve asks blankly.
“That’s the day I fell in love with you. I was only there because I lived on the same street as her and Dad made me go. I was so afraid of the bigger kids so I just sat on the edge of the pool. Carol Perkins pushed me in, and I wasn’t a strong swimmer, you jumped in after me. Gave Carol a piece of your mind and helped me find a towel.” You talk quietly, like you might disturb the memory. “Then you walked me back to my house -”
“- your dad made us PB&J sandwiches, we ate them in your driveway.” He says slowly. “I remember. You - you’ve liked me for that long?” He asks, holding your gaze.
“Yeah, like I said, overlooked.” You say with a wry smile.
“Y/n, honey, I may have overlooked you romantically, but I’ve always valued your friendship.”
You lapse into strained silence, there was so much more to be said, but you were emotionally exhausted, stuck in some hellish purgatory.
“Can I - can I just try something? To be sure?” He asks jerkily.
“What?” You whisper, suddenly caught by the look in Steve’s eyes, it was a smouldering look that you had always wished would be thrown your way.
“Just - come here.” He sighs, leaning across the console.
You hold your breath as Steve moves closer, his hands lightly holding your face, eyes darting across your own. Was this actually happening? He licks his lower lip and you unconsciously mirror him, unsure who closes the remaining distance, mouth finally meeting yours in a light press. He tentatively deepens the kiss and the effect is instantaneous, both of you pulling back looking confusedly at each other, your chest heaving.
It was as though you were seeing him properly for the first time, gone was the little glowing golden aura that used to surround him, all that remained was plain old Steve.
“That - that felt weird right?” Steve asks, grimacing.
“Oh my god, so weird!” You gasp, pressing your lips together sheepishly to suppress a giggle. “It felt like I was kissing a relative.”
“Yes! Exactly that!” He says with enthusiasm, sighing in relief that you aren’t upset. “What a mess huh?” He laughs wryly, as you wipe your mouth with the back of your hand.
“6 years of pining and we’re not even compatible!” You say laughing openly now, almost hysterical at the absolute bitch of a hand life had dealt you.
“Better as friends?” He asks hesitantly, chuckling along with you.
“100% better as friends.” You smile softly, Steve takes your hand, pressing an affectionate kiss to the back.
The levity you feel is short-lived, whilst it’s wonderful to have your friendship with Steve semi back on track, your relationship with Eddie was still very much up in flames.
“What am I gonna do Steve?” You mumble sadly.
“You talk to him.” He says plainly.
“He doesn’t want to talk to me, I’ll be lucky if he ever even breathes in my direction again.” You sigh, leaning heavily back into the seat, feet up on the dashboard, if Steve minds he has the sense not to reprimand you.
“You love him?” It’s not like the weekend when his tone was accusatory, this time it’s gentle and genuinely curious.
You chew at your thumb, ignoring the sharp sting from the already sore worried skin. That was the million dollar question, the one you had been pondering for weeks, the one you desperately wanted to answer, but slipped away from you every time. If you couldn’t be honest with Steve, how were you ever going to be honest with Eddie?
“Yeah - yeah I think I do.” You say, the realization hitting you like a tonne of bricks.
“Then you gotta talk to him, no matter how hard it might be.” Steve advises.
“Ok, but you have to promise me something.” You say turning fully in your seat to face him. “Talk to Nancy, all that stuff you said to me at work about her, that’s still there too Steve.”
_______________________________________________
Steve had returned you to school with a hug, and a promise that he would have a heart to heart with Nancy. The rest of the morning grinds by at an agonizingly slow pace, but when the lunch bell finally rings you’re ready to cut and run, you don’t know if you can cope being in the cafeteria with Eddie, wondering if he hates you or not.
“You gotta eat something babe.” Robin sighs, nudging an apple in your direction.
“‘M not hungry.” You mumble, staring resolutely at the polished concrete floor.
“Tell that to your thumb.” She says, pulling it away from your mouth, wincing at how angry it looks.
You glance up, and immediately catch Eddie’s eye, heart beating frantically in response. He also appears to not be eating, barely engaged with the conversation around him, bags under his eyes and mouth pulled down in a small frown.
“I- I gotta go.” You blurt to Robin, already pushing yourself away from the table, practically sprinting the length of the room. You don’t stop running until you barrel into the girl’s bathroom, sobbing openly, arms braced on the porcelain sink, eyes squeezed shut, breathing hard.
“Y/n…? You ok?” A soft feminine voice jolts you, Chrissy Cunningham is hovering by a stall, looking concerned.
You push back from the sink, roughly wiping at your face with your sleeve.
“I’m - yeah I’m fine - Chrissy.” You stammer. “Thanks.” You add somewhat lamely.
Through the fog of your own misery you notice Chrissy’s cheeks are also wet, eyes similarly red, she’s shaking slightly leaning against the toilet door, pulling the sleeves of her cardigan over her hands.
“You ok?” You ask slowly, she nods quickly but alarmingly dissolves into tears. You surge forward surprising yourself, bringing her into your arms, she hugs you back tightly, her small frame quaking.
“J-Jason and I, we - we’ve broken up.” She cries.
Well shit, what fresh karmic hell is this?
“But - you seemed so good together?” You say falteringly, if you were honest you had never paid much heed to Hawkins High’s power couple, your social standing allowed you to slip under the radar of most cliques and that suited you fine; but Jason and Chrissy always seemed like a perfect pairing, beautiful, popular, both generally well liked.
“He’s been given a full sports scholarship at Syracuse in the fall, he doesn’t think it’ll work with the distance.” Chrissy sniffles.
“I’m so sorry Chrissy - he’s a massive dick if he’s not willing to try at least.” You soothe, allowing her space as she pulls back with the smallest of laughs.
“What about you?” She asks kindly, gesturing to your watery eyes.
“It doesn’t matter, just some boy trouble of my own, nothing I can’t handle.” You lie trying to sound casual.
She nods in understanding, pulling some toilet paper out for you both, she dabs delicately at her face whilst you drag the tissue over your eyes.
“I know we’ve never really spoken much, but I’ve always liked you Y/n.” She smiles shyly. “You should come to my pre-graduation party this weekend.” She offers.
“That’s really nice of you Chrissy, but I’m grounded, no parties for me.” You say awkwardly, throwing your used tissue into the trash can.
“Well if you manage to sneak out or something, it would be great to see you there.” She pulls you in for another hug, and you tentatively pat her on the back, feeling like you’ve fallen into the Twilight Zone.
Try as you might you don’t manage to see Eddie for the rest of the day, you’re tempted to go to the picnic bench at 4pm, risking a permanent grounding from your dad, but his van is already gone from the parking lot by the time you emerge..
You spend the rest of the evening crying intermittently in your room, the pattern broken only by Robin calling to see how things went with Steve.
_______________________________________________
Tuesday…
Eddie avoids you in the corridors, turning resolutely in the opposite direction each time he spots you.
He’s not in the cafeteria at lunchtime, when you ask Dustin he says he’s busy with band stuff.
Wednesday…
Eddie ignores you when you call his name across the parking lot, striding to his van without a second glance.
Thursday…
You call Eddie’s house only for Wayne to answer.
“He’s not here darlin’, but I'll tell him you called.”
Friday…
You manage to corner Gareth in the library, dropping into a seat next to him, determined to speak to Eddie.
“Look, I don’t know what happened between you guys, but Eddie - he’s super cut up about it. He’s been throwing himself into practice but he’s not right.” Gareth whispers.
“I fucked up Gareth and I need to fix it, but I can’t do that unless I can speak to Eddie.” You say urgently, heads tucked tight together to avoid the wrath of Mrs Giles, the overbearing librarian.
“We’re playing The Hideout tomorrow night at 7.” He mumbles.
“You are literally the best.” You sigh in relief, throwing your arms around his neck, earning a small pat and blush from Gareth.
“Just do me a solid, maybe speak to him after our set, and not before? This could be a big gig for us.” He says cautiously.
You feel somewhat lighter as the school day draws to a close, knowing that you may finally be able to speak to Eddie, without him running off so easily. You go to collect your bag from your locker when a neon flier is thrust in front of your face, Chance from the basketball team grinning cockily at you.
“Hey there pretty girl. Wanna go to a bitchin’ party tomorrow?” He grins in what you believe is an attempt at a charming smile but it comes across as slightly seedy.
“Do people still say bitchin’?” You deadpan, snatching the flier without looking, stuffing it into your purse
“All the cool ones, yeah.” He laughs and you find yourself smiling falsely, squeezing past him. “So I’ll see you there?” He calls after you. You walk away without a word, focusing on the task ahead of you.
The minute you get home from school you call Steve at work.
“Family Video, Steve speaking, how may I help?”
“Steve, it’s me, and I need a favour.” You say quietly, making sure your bedroom door is shut tight.
“Why do I have the feeling I’m not going to enjoy this favour?” He asks in trepidation.
“I’m grounded, but Eddie is playing at The Hideout tomorrow night, I need you to come pick me up at six-thirty and tell my dad I have to work the closing shift with you.”
“I dunno Y/n, lying to your dad, that’s a good way for me to get my ass kicked.” Steve says slowly. “Why don’t you just say you’re staying at Robin’s?”
“I’ve used Robin too many times, and he’s only letting me out of the house for school and work. Come on, Steve, you owe me this, please.” You plead, biting your lip. You hear him sigh heavily, as he works through his feelings of unease.
“Alright, fine, but if your dad finds out, it’s your ass on the line.” He says finally.
_______________________________________________
Steve picks you up the following evening as agreed, your dad none the wiser as you leave in your work uniform, pressing a parting kiss to his cheek. You clamber into the back of Steve’s car, already stripping before you’re down the block swapping into the clothes you’d shoved into your purse.
“What are you doing?” Steve asks quickly, giving him an eyeful of your bra in the rear-view mirror as you slip a drop-shoulder top over your head.
“Changing.” You say obviously, wriggling out of your pants, hefting up your denim skirt. “Eyes on the road Harrington.” You grin, throwing your uniform into the trunk, applying blusher as steadily as you can.
“So am I picking you up or what?” Steve queries as you climb over into the front seat, making a noise of complaint when your heels make contact with the precious leather.
“If you’ve not heard from me by midnight, call my dad and tell him I’m crashing at your place with Robin.” You say, lining your lips.
“And he’ll buy that?”.
“He may not like it, but yeah he’ll buy it.”
“I don’t know about this honey - shouldn’t I stick around? What if you two have a fight again?” Steve asks in concern.
“Steve, given what happened the last time you saw each other, I don’t think Eddie is going to react very well if you rock up with me.” You huff, teasing your hair with the spare comb he keeps in the glove box.
“Fair.” He relents, grabbing the comb back in affectionate irritation. “But I still don’t like it.”

The parking lot for The Hideout is surprisingly busy, and it’s only when you walk in you realize why. The place is packed with your classmates, a big sign hanging from the ceiling that says ‘Class of 1986!’, you notice the vast majority of the cheer squad milling around and the penny drops, you’ve inadvertently crashed Chrissy Cunningham’s party.
“Y/n!” You hear your name, Gareth weaving his way through the crowd towards you.
“Gareth, you didn’t tell me this was Chrissy’s party!” You hiss.
“Does it matter?” He asks cluelessly. “We're on in like 10 minutes, I’ll make sure Eddie finds you after, ok?” He reassures, giving your arm a squeeze.
You hover debating on waiting outside but figure you better remain inside for Eddie. You heave a deep sigh, moving to the bar perching on a stool, legs jiggling nervously, you’re caught up in your thoughts when a sweet voice next to you speaks.
“Two diet cokes please. Oh my god Y/n! You came! Hi!” Chrissy Cunningham is standing next to you, leaning on the bar looking like pure heaven in a pretty light peach dress.
“Hi Chrissy” You say awkwardly, allowing her to embrace you.
“Isn’t this place great? I was going to host the party at my house but my dad knows the owner, and then Eddie Munson offered to do a gig with his band Corroded Coffin. I haven’t seen them play since middle school!” She’s grinning from ear to ear, but all you hear is white noise, Eddie spoke to Chrissy?
“I wouldn’t have thought Eddie’s music was your thing.” You ask weakly, head spinning.
“Oh they’re mostly doing covers tonight, Eddie’s been meeting with me every evening to go through the playlist, inviting me to their practices and stuff.” She rambles happily, you can only nod, heart hammering against your ribs. Eddie and Chrissy, of course she was single now.
“You here with Gareth? Was he the cause of your boy trouble? Have you made up?” Chrissy asks in rapid fire, and you’re beginning to suspect that someone might have a hip flask around adding something extra to the sodas.
“Gareth?” You repeat blankly, feeling detached from your voice.
“I saw you talking to him earlier, he’s cute.” She grins, the sound of electric guitars being plugged in stops you from answering. “Oh they’re starting! Come to the front with me!” She shouts, hauling you both towards the stage, you manage to hang back being slightly absorbed by the crowd.
You feel like you’re in a semi-catatonic state as the band finishes their tune up, Eddie’s voice ringing out through the mic in a screech of feedback.
“Uh - thanks for coming guys, we’re Corroded Coffin. Chrissy, this one's for you, ‘86 baby.” He says, grinning down from the stage to where she’s standing, the crowd going wild as they start to play some suped up version of Blondie’s Call Me.
You think you might throw up, limbs tingling unpleasantly, as you stagger to the bathroom. There are a group of girls you sort of recognise, sitting on the edges of the sinks drinking from a large bottle of vodka, and smoking.
“Can I get some of that?” You ask breathlessly pointing at the vodka.
“The more the merrier!” One of the girls laughs, clearly trashed.
You drink a third like it’s water, ignoring the burn as it slides down your throat, desperate to numb the overwhelming panic in your chest.
“We’ve got rum too.” Another girl says, already passing you the bottle, you hate rum but anything will do at this point, wishing you had told Steve to stay.
“This is shit, we should have gone to Carver’s party then we wouldn’t have to hide in a fucking bathroom to get wasted.” A girl you think is called Linda whines, pushing her tits up and down experimentally in the mirror.
“And I told you I lost the fucking flier with the address.” The girl who passed you the rum, shouts impatiently.
“Oh, I think I have one.” You say with a small hiccup, fishing about in your purse for the neon green paper Chase had given you yesterday.
“YES!” Linda screeches happily, snagging it from your hands.
“You coming?” Rum girl asks you, gathering up the alcohol and shoving it into her bag while the others file out in disarray.
You shouldn’t, you should call Steve, you should go home, but your feet move of their own accord following the group out in a slight daze. Evidently you’d been in the bathroom for longer than you thought, the band were currently taking a break, mingling on the floor with everyone else.
Chrissy’s bell-like laugh echoes across the room, cutting through you like a knife, you see her delicate hand resting on Eddie’s chest leaning into him as he laughs along with her. You feel like you’re drowning, breath catching painfully, lip trembling as you swallow the pain down. Gareth says something to Eddie and he suddenly catches your eye, moving to approach you but you’re already heading towards the front door with the drunk girls.
“Y/n wait!” He calls, and you bolt, banging through the double doors, clambering into a car with the girls who laugh and scream as you all peel away from the building.

As much as it seems, this isn't a self insert from me, Y/N is their own original character.
For any confusion, this is before he went yandere, became a golden boy, and why.
You are entirely responsible for what you consume.
MINORS DO NOT INTERACT!
If you're conscious enough to live, at least at some point in your life you have thought of how quick and easy it would be to bring about your demise.
Grab a knife, cut the neck in half, or take a step off at the edge of a building. Simple and efficient. It's not as painless as some would wish, but it's the most reliable for someone in dire need.
When you have problems you aren't aware of how to solve, suicide just seems like the solution at the moment. Why keep going through the pain when you can just make everything stop and end in black there?
Julian was never one to think of committing suicide. It had crossed his mind before whenever hearing about a self-death headline but never to be the one at the edge of death.
His life was a simple chess game with the Devil to put it generously. He couldn't remember the names of his birth parents, only of the new son they had, he couldn't remember the last time his grandad taught him something but could decipher what drug he was using by the way he acted. It was never too obscure behavior and just made his grandad, Mason, spill honest secrets and opinions. Regardless, it hurt his heart to hear what a failure he was to him.
There never was a time of growing up to him. He was born, abandoned, and then perfected to act depressed for the rest of his life as it should be.
To cope with the loneliness, Julian found comfort in cigarettes. The smell of nicotine brought him back to a time when his grandad was still functioning and meaning someone to him. Someone special, someone valuable, and someone irreplaceable. Despite that, he should've learned from his mistakes that once you aren't meaningful to someone anymore, you become dispensable.
At the age of twelve, he couldn't remember what grades he had in school but could instead remember the various names of alcohol brands his granddad had. They were stored on the top shelf of the pantry and some were in the fridge, all decorated in rainbow colors. Back then, they looked magnificent since Mason always forbade him from touching them. Nowadays they stay piled on the floor of his grandad's bedroom, some empty and some bottles broken never to be cleaned.
Drugs were never an unfamiliar aspect of his life. The minute his grandad was gone, off to drink at a bar, he'd sneak into the basement where they were and gather whatever he could to sell. Julian never found out how his grandad had those, just that they appeared on Monday and were all used by Thursday. Mason was reckless if what he was doing was illegal, as long as the cops or Julian didn't rat him out, he'd be content letting his mind dwell on drugs.
It was no wonder why someone like Julian, who was socially awkward and unpleasant to look at, was bullied all his life in school. People either forgot he existed or made sure Julian knew others would forget if he stopped existing. Any time he made an effort to find new friends, they'd look at him in disgust upon smelling his dark cigarette clothes. There was no direct proof but everyone knew of Julian's addiction to cigars and that he probably used drugs on himself too. His blonde hair was always greasy paired with nerdy glasses that only highlighted his purple eye bags to others. Everyone knew he was a failure and that his life would end in failure no matter what.
You saw yourself as no different than Julian. He was a classmate of yours in school, sharing only a couple of classes. You never spoke with each other and never looked at one another. You doubted he cared anything about you but oddly enough... you seemed to care about him. There was just something pulling you to him, some undeniable force that made you feel emotionally connected to him. Maybe it was the pity, the empathy you felt for him, or... the way you thought he was similar to you.
You were someone who grew up in a rather loving family, unlike Julian. You had three young caring step-sisters, a father you never met, and a mother and stepfather. Although your parents' love was sometimes not present, your childhood wasn't the worst or the best. Your earliest memory was when your first adoring sister was born, when you had to take care of her and the same goes for the rest.
Your parents never were really involved in your life. They had to work plenty of hours to take care of your family tree and you had to take care of your sisters in exchange, watch them evolve, and be their guiding light. You never felt like an older sister, more like a parent who guarded them 24/7.
To make your parents notice you for once, your academics stood second in your biggest priorities. Night and day, day and night spent at your desk, unexpectedly was your friend group of friends small and so was your social life. Painful eye bags staining your face and skin pale as a zombie, people worried if you were dead or alive. The only reassurance you had for continuing was a promise for a better present time than your past in a completely new setting.
Despite always teaching your younger siblings to never bottle their emotions, it was only advice you hoped you could follow yourself. They were too young to understand your problems, the pressure, the loneliness, everything. Your parents weren't the ones you could freely open up to without feeling like a burden to their already busy lives. Your couple of friends looked up to you for advice and without anyone to usher you, who was there to tell you suicide wasn't the choice?
You never earlier put your head on suicide and always reassured your peers never to do it. It wasn't the right decision, there were plenty of other ways to go about it, you'd always say. But with always being the one to comfort, to collect their tears that soon poured into yours, you never thought you needed to feel comforted.
Many indifferent moons passed by your window at your desk, contemplating and crying in fear of losing your place in academics. Once you mustered up the courage to find the time and speak to your parents about your fate, they barely took a glance at your words. You put your heart into explaining what you wanted for your future, why you fought so hard, and that you wanted to make this family proud. Nor did they consider it, your mother took her time to carefully choose where to stab you next, calling you an ungrateful brat for not even thinking about your younger sisters.
That night, the cap broke off the bottle and your tears stained your face for hours. Their words clouded you, their words were becoming a reality to you. It felt childish to cry over nothing, it was childish no matter how you put it. How dare you even cry after acting so selfishly?
When the sun came, it settled in you how much you wanted to break your own rules and punish yourself. If you weren't to have a good destiny, what difference would ending it now have? All you've ever wanted was to be certain you'd have brightness along your path of life, to not end up marrying off to a rich man like your mother had to. All you've ever wanted was gratitude for your achievements from people who should've been giving it to you for free.
Those thoughts stayed long in your mind and long enough to realize how your mother was right. How selfish would you be to dedicate yourself to ending it now of all times? Who would take care of your family? Who else would provide for your own blood?
You were no one to decide on what and when your death would be. To be one would mean your soul would succumb to sinfulness and stay like that by all who knew of your existence.
Being a mother figure all of your life, you immediately knew what was happening with Julian. Over the years, he grew pathetic in trying to go against his bullies' self-harming suggestions. There were no tears smudging his dorky glasses anymore, no guilt on his face, anger, he just looked emotionless and numb. He, to put it simply, took the pain and walked away without trying to heal.
The day you finally decided to befriend him, the day his tormentors came to convince him, was the same day he wanted to make ends meet.
During lunch, you searched for him at his usual spot in school, on the rooftop. The whisper-like wind hugged your body carefully and to no avail, he wasn't staring at absolutely nothing on the bench, his bench you came to view it as. So many times he was caught bawling there he practically claimed it as his own.
Upon spotting his thin form at the edge of the rooftop in front of the railing, looking down at the ground and contemplating his life's choices, your heart felt devastated. To anyone it would be obvious what was going to happen, to you, it was clear who had to prevent it.
You couldn't let this happen to him, he never deserved anything in his life and if there was no one else to help him, it would be you. Either you put an end to his problems or put an end to the selfish life you wouldn't live for too long after.
His name echoed in his ears when you yelled out to him, was it his imagination? He turned his body around, his watery eyes landing on your blurry figure, and for the first time, he felt something other than nothing in his life.
“Listen, I've come here to help you, okay?” Your voice was soft as sunlight behind stormy clouds. Nevertheless, even with the reassurance, looking over your nervous body, he still felt out of place. Like an animal caged behind a railing as you cautiously stepped near him.
It took you slow breaths to at last muster up your words. “I know life may seem tough for you now but..” There was a smile on your face, it was forced and comforting at the same time. “We can both get through this, alright? We can both help one another in passing through this pain.” You were closer to him now, he could tell by seeing the sun reflect your skin golden. You were glowing and through his tears, he couldn't tell if you were an angel or not. “But I can't help you if you end it all now, I can't help you if you can't help yourself in what you truly want.” Julian eyed the ground under him again, a teardrop falling from his eye and landing beneath him.
It took several moments for his quiet sobs and sniffling to be heard by you. “W-why are you doing this?” Scratchy as it was, it felt good to finally hear his voice.
“Because I know what you're going through, I know how hard life has been for you and I want to make it better for you.” Julian's brown eyes couldn't help but wonder where you were standing, your delicate hand put out for him to grab. He felt every worry in his life disappear and could only focus on nothing but you. “Please, Julian, let me help you.”
Medusa's beauty referred to snakes acting as something they were not, would her touch also feel like scales belonging to filthy deceivers? Your hand looked preciously dainty and skinned with thin glass, a couple of visible cuts on the wrists. Your eyes captivated him, desperation or precise manipulation in them. Your aura, your soul, your everything had him infatuated in a matter of seconds.
As much of an alluring snake you seemed, he's learned his way around them and he was going to make sure you would be the last he's ever met. It would be the last time he'd ever wailed for someone and missed them to death.
Julian would certify he has collected every last remaining lie in your shedding skin, morphing it into whatever he wanted to believe, before ensuring you never leave him. Never leave, never abandon, never disappear from his life, and never not be fully dependent on anything except him.
