Here is the like- prologue I think? Of the cold I caught from hell two weeks ago. Honestly, I lost most of my sense of time to it, but I was really convinced this was just weather caused, only for it to spit back in my face and laugh at that. I definitely will be keeping my coats and gloves on extra long this season, just to make sure I never get this sick again for the year.

holy moly! Pollen count are you high today?

Woke up and opened my eyes to my face full of itch. My throat, ears and nose are SO itchy… but my nose is the itchiest of them all!

after 5 mins, my nose is desperate, itchy and twitching as the night time pollen swirls around In my nose demanding attention.

Suddenly my breathing gets heavier, I’m hitching…. I draw in a sharp wheezing breath to expel a sneeze, which triggers another sneeze, and… another!

….and believe me, there’s no relief.

Between each fit my nose pulses in protest, but all I can do is hitch and wait for the next set of sneezes.

Ok. Tried my best to force myself to sneeze in a rapid fashion, and I was like...semi-successful? 😮‍💨 I tickled my nose with a hair pin and tried so hard to hold my breath and force out a series of smaller sneezes rather than let myself hitch and build naturally. It's quite short because I was getting frustrated that I wasn't doing the best job haha. Tickled a few regular sneezes out later in the day to reward myself for trying something new 😌

Some of these ended up sounding so strange to me! I had to let my breath hitch and get out a big sneeze in the middle because apparently trying to clamp down on sneezes like this is pure torture

sometimes I wake up and I just start sneezing. nothing a steamy shower can’t fix but that requires me getting out of my comfy bed, and That’s the hard part. Guess I just have to deal with the sneezing and lay there with the snot 🤧

I’ve been having the most teasing, torturous buildups to sneezes for the past few days. Like the kind that’ll have me stuck there with my head hanging back, staring desperately at a light as the tickle comes and goes, literally powerless to do anything until whatever tf is going on in my nose works itself out. And the sneezes are the throat-ripping, bending over kind that I couldn’t stifle if I tried. It’s genuinely driving me a little nuts, because it’s like this insanely intense tickle that will just spring out of nowhere but then it won’t make me actually sneeze until give in, basically, and stand there like an idiot with my head in the air. And all that buildup and then it’ll just be one massive sneeze and I don’t sneeze again for hours. It’s so weirdly intense, it’s like every time I sneeze it’s this weird will-I-won’t-I battle of me vs. sneee

🌻so, like, i have this thing called the ACHOO syndrome and it Sucks in the most benign way ever. i look at anything too bright suddenly and i have the incredible, irresistible urge to sneeze. and it doesn't help that i sneeze like a 90 year old tough n' ruff granddad that can alarm an entire corporate building with a single achoo. i'm talking full bellied, almost back pulling, gotta hunch over ( optimal if i brace my hands on my knees ), opera worthy sneezes.

i once stepped out of my car at a grocery parking lot. got hit with how bright it was. SNEEZED. immediately heard someone hit something nearby, and it was this poor dude that got startled and hit his head against the door frame when he was getting inside.

this day was so insanely itchy and i had fits like this for what felt like every other minute (though i like to think i was better at holding back than that) everyday for a week because my allergies were so bad and my nose was so sensitive…i don’t remember what was setting me off but WOW did it make me sneeze lol
