I decided to do a phone scenario rather than actually sneezing in front of others because I’m shy, but I hope this suffices!

Scenario:

You decide to pick up the phone and give me a call, as we haven’t spoken in some time and you’d like to catch up. However, the call quickly diverges from conversation to drawing attention to the sneezy mess I am. At first, I make an effort to slow the sneezes and quell how much my nose needs a tissue, but it doesn’t last long. I try to listen and be excited over your accomplishments, but my praises are drowned out by tickly releases that can’t help but come out.

My bulk alone time is coming to an end, so I gave the chhinkni one last run. The grand finale (for now), you could say.

I am.....astonished that this came out of me. Nothing close to this has ever happened to me in my entire life. Like, ever, ever. I don't even know what to say. This has to be basically a one in a million thing for me. This started so fast I almost missed the beginning because I hadn't hit record yet. I sat around the other times stuck in the waiting zone, so I didn't bother starting the recording before I sat down. Shows you what I know, apparently.

Everything slowed down at the end (last few were kind of a struggle), but holy hell.

Edited to add that I had tears streaming down my face by the end of this. That's also a first for me.

Self Obs.

Just thought I’d share a little self-observation from this morning’s mayhem.

There I was sat on the sofa, living my best work-from-home life, slaying tasks on my laptop like the productivity queen I am. Just as I was in my zone, a sneeze hit me out of nowhere.

"Ah-tssssssch-tsssssscha!"

And boom, it wasn’t just one sneeze, but TWO, back-to-back, like some kind of rapid-fire sneeze attack. The first one hit so hard it felt like it came from deep within my soul, misting the inside of my arm as I desperately tried to shield my face. And before I even had a chance to recover, the second sneeze launched itself out, just as aggressive, soaking my arm again. In truth, the sneeze, though not especially loud, was unmistakably wet, carrying a sound that closely resembled the hiss of an aerosol can.

Now, I’m not usually the type to sneeze in doubles, so I barely had time to react. I threw my arm up in a last-ditch effort to contain the chaos, but honestly? Too little, too late. My arm was soaked, and there I was, just sitting there like “Did that really just happen?”

Fortunately, I was home alone, so no one had to witness me desperately wiping my arm off with a tissue while maintaining what little dignity I had left.

thank you so much for the sweet message, anon!! i tried to do a scenario based on holding back my allergies while watching a movie with a partner (and failing miserably, because these allergies are just too strong to hold back in any way) so i stifled as much as i could after some very mediocre holdbacks (if you can even call them that) before i couldn’t hold back at all 🥴

Here is the like- prologue I think? Of the cold I caught from hell two weeks ago. Honestly, I lost most of my sense of time to it, but I was really convinced this was just weather caused, only for it to spit back in my face and laugh at that. I definitely will be keeping my coats and gloves on extra long this season, just to make sure I never get this sick again for the year.
