i feel like leo in media nowadays is so not him, and imma be so real for the longest time i too regarded him as the ‘strict mom of the group’ but he’s really fucking isn’t.

he’s cringe, nerdy, sassy, and just a tad awkward! he’s obsessed with kids cartoons and anime and that’s canon! he sasses and pokes fun at his siblings, he makes jokes and puns that never hit! he gets so happy when he goes to space and makes silly faces! He likes dnd and comics! he’s a kid, he likes to mess around and he’s pretty laid back when it comes to everyday stuff!

he’s not this stick up his ass type of guy, he just take’s missions seriously bc he’s trying to keep his bros safe, bc the weight of being the leader weighs down on him heavily and he takes the role of leader very strictly and rightly so! he may be a star student but only bc he’s a hard worker and he’s stubborn enough that he’s good at shit he wants to be good at. he wants to protect his siblings.

not saying he can’t be extra or anything, he can so be a lil shit when it comes to training. i’m just saying we should show his more colorful side :))

It's good to be back. Will endeavour to use tonight and tomorrow to be a little more active and pretend that this is still something approximating a roleplay blog.

I get so incredibly tired of the mainstream fandom's engagement with Hank as a character. It's literally just such basic bitch shit. There's so little attempt to actually engage with what he is beyond the surface.

He's either a cuddly doctor who exists as five lines in a hurt/comfort fic, or he's fucking Satan himself because people's memories don't go back before 2019, and it makes me wonder sometimes why I bother trying to talk to people outside of my small, curated sphere here, because the majority of fandom will see one panel on Twitter, or Reddit, and form a fuckass opinion based on it, and then I have to act like it's somehow worth engaging with.

Where's the exploration of Hank as a trans metaphor? Where's the examination of Hank as a lens through which to view changing politics and the popular conceptualisation of intellectuals? Where's the thesis on why Hank is a sex symbol on the Avengers but he's a mopey bastard on the X-Men? Where's the discourse that actually bothers to question what Abigail represents on his narrative journey, and why they worked as a couple, and why she's important?

I just get so tired of the mainstream X-Men fandom sometimes. It legitimately feels like they have a head full of fuckin' bricks, and all it takes is jangling some keys in front of them to get them excited.

The people I have following and interacting with me here, you guys? You guys, I can have an actual conversation with, and I appreciate you more and more and more every time I dip my toe into Twitter and Reddit.

envy (n x v) is a really cute ship but im sorry the people who ship it are horrible. the fact that there are envy shippers sending death threats to glitch and trying to doxx liam is actually disgusting. ive seen way too many ordinary fans getting death threats on twitter / tiktok just because they ship nuzi, its sickening. not to mention all the people getting attacked for shipping wd x dd ships because its "proship," its not. we have proof that uzi and N are the same age in the show, and glitch is hinting at the ship a lot. there's a bunch more but I don't really wanna say it because i don't have any proof, and the worst part? the show ISNT EVEN ROMANCE BASED. the new episode was packed with so much lore and the plot is so so cool and the only thing people are talking about is N and uzi holding hands and blushing?? please.

Part of my frustration comes from Mei and PIF being the only consistent lady characters in the whole series since Spider Queen and LBD died. And ofc Nuwa gets a brief appearance in the most recent season.

Give us the giant Tiger Empress!! Let her tear the skies open in her grief of losing her life-long mate! The Jade Emperor didn't exist in a vaccuum, he had a wife and daughters!

Erlang is more understandable, he at least gets a minifig (something Nuwa and Li Jing got before their appearances). He could easily be on vacation with his dog.

But to not even mention the Emperor's family???

Especially when there's a succession crisis? And his bitch-as son-in-law is grabbing for power???

I'll even take Wukong commenting something like "Hey, ain't the Queen in charge now?" Just acknowledge that she exists!

I do like the interpetation of the Nine Headed Demon as also being Xiang Liu (nine-headed snake monster who worked for the god who broke the Heavenly pillar + got slain by Yu and Nuwa) tho.

i'm gonna be so fucking fr one thing that has always pissed me off about the rpc is how personal people take it when shows/sequels don't go how they expect them to go/don't follow the canon people have made up in their head. like i get canon divergence, but its SO FRUSTRATING to me to see rpers bashing show runners/bashing directors for choices that make sense for their story just because they don't fit the version of the character they write on tumbIr.gov. it's exhausting and i'm not naming fandoms you can assign that shit for yourselves but its tiring. i'm tired like y'all HAVE to know by now that when you give a character that doesn't have a last name or mentioned parent or something an origin story that MIGHT change in canon and might not be what you made up right? you don't have have to take it out on the writers...or hell maybe you don't even have to post about it. just go with your canon and make sure your canon divergence is clear somewhere on your page so a) everyone is on the same page and b) people can decide whether they want to follow your canon and if they don't want to they don't follow you and that saves everyone hurt feelings. bashing the writers may not reach the actual writers but it does reach OTHER PEOPLE who write those characters and write in the same fandom and that does make it kind of a hostile place ngl.

You cant write the most detailed smut of a cannonical child and proceed to say ‘Minors dni’ in the same breath. Dude the characters a minor. I dont care if its ‘aged up’ you’re still an adult and thats fucking weird. I dont care if minors write about minors. But when adults get involved i find it really weird.

Okay, please don’t panic y’all, but I just had a horrible “premonition” of sorts. I think something bad might happen. I don’t know what it is or who it involves or even if it’s going to happen, but I just feel awful right now. I went and told my mom I love her which I never do (I’m just not like that with her, I love her, but I don’t say it unless something is really wrong).

So if it is really bad and something does happen…. I platonically love you all, and I appreciate your kindness, support, and encouragement. Seriously many of you all are like my family/closest friends. In the event that something does happen I have a contingency plan in place…one of my most trusted friends will make a post for me. I’m sending her the necessary information now.

This is all probably really stupid sounding, and I’ll be back on here tomorrow night and all will be fine, but in case not…please keep Violet x Zach and my Ziolet kiddos safe and well for me. No matter what happens…they are my legacy, my world.

i'm !!!! losing it friends. i've got replies and asks drafted and micah knows exactly what he wants to do for each of them but the words? continue to elude me. everything i write just feels fucking stale and it's so infuriating because i have so much muse for my boy and he's screaming inside my head begging to be let out and it's like there's some kind of disconnect between my creative brain and writing? i can see everything so perfectly in my head but when i go to put it down in words it just... doesn't even come close to what i'm envisioning and on the off chance it's close i'm agonizing over the word choices and wondering if it's too... stale, lmao. flat and unoriginal. and i can't bring myself to do anything else so i sit here for hours staring at the same draft trying to get the words to just.... flow the way they were 2 weeks ago and they never do and then i just feel so damn unproductive and anxious over those reply timestamps getting farther and farther away from me. and like why am i driving myself mad? my brain my dude what is up!? i just want to write.
