I WANNA DO THIS TOO!
Ok as op said and also the other reblogs, I am basing this on the trailer and the bts photos we got from Only Friends, this is also gonna be quite biased
Maybe I will change my mind completely when the show airs who knows what my opinion on the characters would be?(I feel like nothing much is gonna change but I am not that strict I can change my mind)
Also I will include Namchuen/Shyrup(Lookjuns character) cuz she is part of the main friendgroup with RayMewBoston and cuz I am obesessed with her
Here is my ranking:
Ray: I can't lie to you Khao is my favourite(together with First) I can't help it I am biased torwards every character he plays! also he is a looser in love with his nerd bestie, a rich playboy and I know people don't like this type of character but he just works and we barely see a real playboy in any show! He start this relationship with San that is going to be a mess and he just is the hottest man in the cast
San: again biased! I love First just as much as Khao tho we know so little of his character so he ranks as second, BUT the things we know are so intriguing! like he is a broke musitian, he lives in the dorms, he probably has feelings for Ray but the other juat want a casual relationship, he seems to have/had relationships with Top and Nick!
NamChuem/Shyrup: I am very atteacted to her she is the moment and she can do no wrong! jokes adide female characters written by Jojo are amazing and I feel like she will be too, also if she is the lesbian friend she is already superior, also she is probably gonna be the voice of reason for those idiots, plus Lookjun is so hot I can't help but simp
Boston: he is the drama, probably all problems in the show will be started by this man and I am so here for it! I am also so exited to have Neo play such a different role he deserve to get more interesting pissibilities that aren't only thi comic relief, also I love a good bitch that loves to sleep around!
Mew: Ok so usually I do not like the nerdy type that the popular boys fall for, it is an overused trope and unless you do it in a more interesting way I wiuld find it boring, that being sayd I feel like Mew has some hidden spunk, afer all he hangs out with Boston, Ray and Nam wich all seems like they are party people and would be popular in school so I feel like Mew will surprise me
Nick: just like San we don't know much about him, but he feels a bit pathetic and obsessive, he intrigues me as a character but I have a feeling I will not like him a lot, this is just based on vibes, tho I feel also like I will feel bad for him and what happens with Boston, he gets point tho for being a camboy(if he still is)
Top: I am sorry but this man is so bland? he has no discerning interesting traits other than he is hot and rich, he and Boaton are fuck buddies and he falls for Mew, and this are not compelling traits, especially if you see all the others, so until the show he will stay here at the bottom(get it?XD)
So exited for the show, everything looks so cool and interesting, this is my most unticipated show this year and in a long time!
Hope it will be very good!
My Ranking of the 6 main characters of Only friends from favorite to least favorite
Yes, I know the show hasn't started yet. But I thought it would be fun to rank the 6 main characters of the show based solely on my first impressions of them. I want to do the same exercice once the official trailer is released and then one last time once the show is over. Just for the fun of it. I want to see if my liking or disliking of these characters is gonna change as the show progresses or not. Don't expect big explanations from me regarding this ranking because, if i'm beeing honest, I'm relying solely on vibes. So without further do, here's my ranking of the 6 mains of Only friends from favorite to least favorite:
Boston ( What can I say, I love a messy, self-sabotaging king)
Mew (He seems so nice, so sensitive, idk. I love the characters who are deemed boring, i guess)
Ray (Love a man-whore who's in love with the best friend he knows he can never be with, plus he seems to have many more issues beyond that. I like it )
San/ Sand( He's a musician played by First. What else can I say)
Top ( He was just there, looking pretty while being the cause of a possible broken friendship. Good for him!)
Nick ( Don't like him. He seems pretty pathetic (deragotory))
#only friends#only friends the series#thai drama#ranking the characters based on first impressions!#You can tell I am very biased and gay looking on the top 3#as I said it is possible that the character will change position but I doubt it#the only one that could move is San and maybe Nick I feel like#until the next OF update

When you had learned about this new job, one thing you had so gotten used to doing was letting Simon know about it. But not this time, something about letting him back into your life wasnât something you should do anymore. You were no longer married to him by your own choice and no one elseâs. So you know it was time to wear your big girl pants now and stopped letting him know about it.
You no longer had any reason to give your ex-husband any updates about your life. A more selfish reason was how you just wanted to start a new life, away from him and away from anything that was related to him.
âMs. Riley?â
You turned smiling at the man that would now be your new boss. You learned his name to be John Price, a Captain.
Being married to a man like Simon Riley once upon a time, you know some thing or two about what goes on inside of a military base. Even when he hasnât talked much about it with you during your relationship or if he even gone as far as mention your existence to the people he had once worked with. You chalked it up to overprotectiveness and fear that they would get to you, and some night thing that he was simply embarrassed about you. Maybe itâs another reason why you had opted out of telling him about this new job of yours.
âCaptain Price, itâs good to finally meet you.â You firmly shook the manâs hand. A good first impression was the best thing for you to do if it meant making sure you work for the man for the foreseeable future.
âLikewise, Laswell as spoke great things about you and Iâm hoping to be able to experience it firsthand.â
You nodded with a smile. Working for Kateâs wife for nearly a few years beforehand, you had appreciated the suggestion for this new role as a secretary for the Captain ever since your divorce. She had understood you needed this change in pace in your life and this was much of a welcome change.
âI do hope itâs all good things.â You quipped right back earning a deep resonating chuckle from the older man.
âWell I think now that introductions as over and done with, let me show you to my office. I do hope youâre up for dealing with a handful of documents for me on your first day.â
âMore than happy to.â You beamed following the man, his larger hand holding onto the small of your back as you began your journey into the heart of the base.
All throughout the walk, he was giving your directions to where most things were. You were warned how some men could be rowdy at time and he was more than happy to help in the off chance that any of his men would give you problems.
All you could do was smile, not wanting him to know that you were more than well equipped to punch or kick anyone that would get too handsy with you. One of the perks of having an ex-husband working for the military.
He continued on with how things go around in the base. Schedules for meal time and the curfew in the event that you would be staying in the base overnight. He had also showed you to where your new room would be located in.
âYou would be a few rooms away from my own as well as the Lieutenant and Sergeants that I trust most. In the event that Iâm unavailable, they will be more than willing to lend you a hand if you need it.â
You nodded before you finally arrived in his office. Opening the door for you, you were greeted with a spacious office. Even in the chaos of the military base, the manâs office was pristine, a few knick knacks and photos that littered his walls, as well as a bookshelf that housed an array of military strategies books. But the most alarming thing about his office was the other table that housed stack upon stacks of folders, papers practically spilling out from each and every single one of them.
âI may or may not have underestimated the help I truly need in this situation.â The Captain said sheepishly as you began opening the folders and gasped that most of them werenât even ordered correctly even with the page numbers printed on them.
âI think I can manage this.â You blinked hoping you didnât bite more than you could chew in this moment.
For the next few hours, your time was spent removing staplers upon staplers from the papers for each and every single one of the folders while you were inquiring to John the calls you would be fielding for him from now on and how he would want you to deal with it.
You had learned so much about the man in the few hours being in the same room as him. He was a man that wanted to ensure the safety of the world, even if it meant bloodying his hands up a little just to make sure of it. It showed with some of the missions reports that you may or may not have accidentally read too much into. Youâve also learned how much he hated talking to upper ranking officials if not needed, he was a man that hated authority yet he was working in the field that he was in right now from the way his comments about letting calls from upper ranks go to voice mail if possible.
âWill there be anything or anyone that I should be worried about for now?â You inquired making sure that you did not stir anyone in the wrong way if possible.
âIâm sure Laswell has told you enough to understand our work. Some men are more scarred than sane and if possible, I want you to make sure that you do not give anyone the wrong impression if possible.â
You know what he was implying and with your own experience you know far too well that getting yourself involved with another man in uniform would lead into.
âIâve done my fair share, Captain. I donât think that would be much of a problem with me.â You reassured him.
âLaswell told me you were divorced.â He began, huh, who would have thought the man would be the gossiping type.
âItâs been a few years,â You shrugged attention solely on rearranging the files at hand. âIt took months before my ex-husband signed the papers, I wanted to think it was because he was deployed but I knew otherwise.â You muttered.
When you had made the decision to finally break things off with Simon, it was like pulling teeth with the man and his near avoidance about the discussion or where you would be sending the divorce papers. You had enough of it, leaving the home you once shared instead with everything you owned and left nothing more of you than the divorce papers alongside the wedding ring and engagement ring he had given you all those years ago.
âHe was military too?â
âSomething like that.â You nodded not wanting to think too much about the man. Even after everything, you still worried about you giving the man too much information in the event that he works for the opposing side if the chance may have it.
âWell his lost is my gain.â He snorts turning his attention back to the freshly arranged folders courtesy of you that were now ready for his signature. âNo offense.â
âNone taken, Captain.â
Eventually the man had excused himself for a meeting and had instructed you that no one would be allowed inside aside from him. He had also reminded you about lunch which you could head on out first or you could join him once his meeting was done. Youâve decided it would be best to join him for lunch for now, just to get a feeling of anyone that you would get into contact with on your first day.
With a quick goodbye, you were left on your own and you all but groaned at the folders still stacked up and yet to be touched. It truly made you wonder how the man could be so good in his job yet be so horrible with his paperwork. You will never understand.
Your eyes fixated for a moment on one of the pictures on the wall. It was your boss with three individuals. A blue eyed man with a horrible cut Mohawk but the biggest beaming smile on his face, his arm wrapped around a much younger man with darker skin but a bright eyes that twinkled with happiness for whatever was going on when the photo was taken. But amongst the camaraderie and enjoyment was a man in a skull balaclava mask that had such an empty but somehow familiar eyes, the man stuck out like a sore thumb even with the Captainâs hand resting on the taller manâs shoulder and beaming smile and a cigar between his lips. It was an odd mix of people but it was like familyâit made you miss Simon for a moment before your attention got right back to the paperworks.
You canât think of him now. Not anymore.
After the events of Las Almas, Simon Riley had truly fought the urge to call you, to tell you how much you mean the world to him and how he was now more than willing to give you the compromise you had always longed from him. But a part of him, the bigger and much darker part of him had refused, slamming his own phone onto the wall in the sheer anger of everything that had occurred in the moment. You had made your choice because of his own action and he would be cruel to take that away from you.
âHeard Cap had a new Secretary, old manâs gonna finally keep his paperworks in check now.â Soap had ruining Simonâs sulking in the cafeteria.
Itâs been a grueling few days. With new recruits he was forced to deal with in the morning and nightmares that you no longer could vanish for him at night. His life was nothing more than misery personified and he has no one else to blame but himself.
âCanât say Iâm surprise. Laswell probably set it up for him.â Simon muttered being more than within earshot when he heard both Laswell and Price arguing about the manâs need for necessary help with files. It was Laswellâs decision above anything else, itâs just a matter of time if the secretary would actually last with how everything goes around here in the base.
âStill, hope weâll have a new bonnie around. Getting sick and tired of seeing Bampots all around.â
Simon didnât even had the energy to question the manâs slangs, his attention solely back on his cup of tea and lunchâhow horrible it was compared to your cup and cooking, but he never truly appreciated it until it was gone. His tea was too bitter even with the sugar and cream he added and the food that didnât have the special kick compared to your own cooking. Even years after the divorce he was still so miserable without you in his life.
âSteamin Jesus.â
Simon could practically hear Soap melt from where he sat in front of him, his eyes directed at whoever was behind Simon. His curiosity got the better of him and his head turned and he was welcomed with the last person he would have ever believed to be walking besides one John Price.
âYer lookinâ a bit peely wally.â Soap pointed out breaking Simon from his trance.
âEnglish, MacTavish.â
âYou look a lilâ pale, Lt. Like youâve seen a fucking ghost.â
Simon could have at this point. As you walked besides Price towards the table he sat in. He noticed how unaware you were even at the sight of him only for him to realize that you had never seen him with his mask on, or in anything that has to do with his line of workâuntil now.
âRight, I think itâs time to introduce this lovely lass.â Price cleared his throat but he should have known by now that both Simon and Soapâs attention were already on them both. âThis is Y/N Riley, my new secretary.â
Simonâs brows rose at that little tidbit. You still had his last name. He understood to a degree why you did soâyour family that you had long cut off from your life after what they had done to you, but after everything that had happened between the two of you he wouldnât have expect you to choose the lesser of two evilsâbeing his last name.
âRiley? She a sister or wife to you, Lt?â Soapâs quick remark earned him a glare from Simon before his attention was back to you, how your brows furrowed before your eyes finally widen in realization.
âPurely coincidence.â Simon muttered.
âThis is Sgt. Johnny âSoapâ MacTavish and Lt. Simon âGhostâ Riley.â Price introduced almost realizing at this point the similarity of the last name you both shared in this moment.
âNice to meet you two.â You smiled, quickly to compose yourself and shaking both menâs hand.
Even with the glove Simon wore, he could still feel the all too familiar electric shock of your touch against his own. He looked at you how easy your eyes dilated at his touch. It scared him still how you had so much of an effect on him even after the years apart from each other.
As you and Price excused yourselves to get lunch, it left Simon wondering if this was the world finally punishing him for everything he has done in his cruel life. Give him the very thing he had wanted the most only to pull it away at every instance.
âBloody fucking hell.â
Itâs been two weeks since youâve began your new job as Captain John Priceâs secretary. Two weeks since you had tried and succeeded in making sure you had avoided the man known in the base as Ghostâor to you, simply known as Simon Riley, your ex-husband. Every single instance that you were both placed in the same room (mostly in Priceâs office), you both acted like you didnât know each other, it was hard knowing just how close the man was after so long of a separation from each other.
But as much of an avoidance youâve made for the Lieutenant, the same could not be said for the two Sergeants that had been dead set in making themselves both your companion while in the base but as well as your guard dogs from the ballsy few that would dare ask you out on a date. You appreciated the effort as much as it was not needed knowing it earned a dangerous glare from your ex in the process.
âLooks like youâre right at home.â
You jerked your head up from the files you were arranging at the voice of an all too familiar woman. A smile rested on your face at the sight of one Kate Laswell, your former bossâ wife.
âKate.â You smiled an exhausted sigh escaping your lips at the sight of the woman. Both her and her wife had been the pair that knew what you had been through since your divorce and she was one of the two people that saw behind the façade you had decided to show the world.
âHow are you holding up?â She inquired.
âDoing better.â You assured her. âJust a slight problem but nothing I canât deal with now.â
âOh no. Is your ex-husband bothering you again? I told you to just say the name and Iâll find some dirt on him in a heartbeat.â
You chuckled, knowing how that would be close to impossible with the manâs stand and rank in the Taskforce.
âSimon Riley.â You said instead and watched the way her eyes widen upon realization.
âWhy did I not put two and two together?â She snorted realizing the small misjudgment on her part. âDoes John know?â
You shook your head. You didnât know how, but in the weeks of working at the base, you had been successful enough not to let the small detail spill. It was for both of your sakes and you feared that if you told the man, you would be fired and not him, not that you would want him to choose between the two of you.
âIt would be a shame if John couldnât keep you working for him because of your past with Ghost. Iâm actually able to see his files being sent to me on time for once and heâs less stress in this past week for once.â
You blushed, knowing that that was a compliment, something that was rarely spoken by one Kate Laswell in the years of working for her wife.
âI genuinely donât want to go either.â You spoke honestly. âEven with the situation.â
âWill you keep the information to yourself for now?â She inquired. âWhat does Ghost think of this?â
âI havenât talk to him since Iâve gotten here.â You spoke honestly. âAnd I think it would be better if donât talk to him about it either.â
âTalk to who about?â
Both of you had jerked your head towards the owner of the voice and it was Price with your husband, Soap, and Gaz in tow. You looked panicked at Kate hoping she could help you out this predicament with the man in the very room with them.
âMy wifeâs been asking how sheâs been holding up since the divorce and if sheâs gotten around to talking to her ex.â Kate brushed off and you wanted to face palm yourself, not the answer you were hoping for her to give.
âWait you were married?â Gaz piped in with surprise.
âWas.â You corrected, eyes glancing towards Simon for a moment before turning your attention right back to the younger man. âBut itâs nothing to worry about, you know how Kateâs wife is.â You tried your best to reassure everyone.
âWell that bloke lost something good thatâs for sure.â Soap quipped right back with a flirty wink. Youâve learned this was the default with the man. âRight Lt?â
Both you and Kate found yourself looking at the man and it somehow clicked to him that you both were now more than aware of the currently predicament that fell before you and without another word left the office, slamming the door behind him.
To this very day, Simon still canât understand why he had signed those papers. Why didnât he just talk with you and made a compromise. Instead he became an asshole that avoided any forms of communications with you until he was left with no other choice but divorce papers waiting for him at home and every single trace of you no longer in the home you two once shared.
In the deepest depths of his bedside drawer was the divorce papers that officially separated him from you, the two ring boxes that housed his wedding ring and the engagement ring he had bought for you. Around his neck, alongside his Dog tag was your wedding ringâthe same wedding ring you had left on top of the coffee table of your home, with the divorce papers right under it.
It was his fears that finally came to life and he truly didnât know why his body automatically signed without even reaching out to you first. To this day, in the years that has passed he still wonder what his life and relationship could be if he fought for your marriage.
Would he still be married to you right now? Would the two of you finally have the family you had always wanted? Maybe by now your first kid would have been three, he had always dreamed of having a daughter. A darling little girl that was a spitting image of you, a daughter he would protect with his life over and over again.
That could have been his life, but he was far too stupid for his own good. He was too much of a bastard that ruins everything good that comes into his life. He pays the price every single night he comes home to his apartmentâempty and lacked the warmth that only you could ever give to someone like him.
He made his bed and he was sleeping in tears because of it.
âThere he is, good youâve got your arse here, LT.â
Another one of the mistakes he seems to be making in his life was joining the rest of the team in the pub and realizing that you have come to join them this time around.
Bloody fucking hell you were as beautiful as the first day he had ever laid eyes on you. There was the twinkle in your eyes he had once thought he had diminished as you continued on with whatever conversation you were having with Gaz with Price listening on. You had on your favorite red crepe dress that slightly showed some cleavage but not enough to be indecent, with your favorite locket that he had brought for you while you were still dating, and the first ever expensive Cartier watch you had brought for yourself (which Simon would have more than willingly bought for you if you allowed it) while saving up your checks.
Fate was nothing but a cruel sick man for giving this sight of you in front of him and never allowing him the taste he always craved. A gift that wasnât his to acceptâanymore.
âYou know how traffic is, Johnny.â He muttered finding himself sitting beside the man and in the process finding himself sitting right in front of you in the process.
âBullshit,â Soap snorted. âStopped by a bonnie we didnât know about?â
Simon glanced towards you, the momentary hurt that passed through your eyes before you continued on with your conversation with Gaz, now hearing you were both talking about your Uni days and how you found yourself involved with working for Laswellâs wife all those years ago.
âDonât have the time nor the energy for another headache in my life.â He spoke realizing that it was the wrong thing to say with you in front of him. He could have said it if you were not here, but not in your presence, it diminishes every single thing he had ever had with you.
It wasnât what he meant but he couldnât truly take it back.
âI can second that.â You spoke finally meeting his eyes this time. An unrecognizable look in your eyes as you stared right at him. âAnd this is coming from someone thatâs already made a mistake of ever getting married to a man in the military.â
This has opened the floodgate for everyone in the table to question you about your apparent divorce. He had no one else to blame for this than himself. He listened in now as you continued on answering questions about your relationship with him and the eventual divorce, but made sure it was vague enough not to have fingers pointed at him.
âSo, you loved the man more than life itself and all that, why divorce?â Soap had asked the million dollar question.
âItâs gets tiresome to love someone that doesnât want to help himself.â You spoke honestly. âYear of trying to understand him, only to push shoved away over and over again, it hurts and it gets tiresome. I just had to go before the love turns to hate.â
In the years since the divorce, there was never closure between the two of you. The forms of communications that you both had were mostly about him being deployed again or of you and your plans of moving around or changing careers. Never did either of you had the much needed closure that you both deservedâuntil now, not directed at him.
âIf any of you ever attempt getting involved with a guy or girl make sure youâre serious about the relationship a hundred percent, not fifty, not seventy-five, not even fucking ninety. Because that small fraction youâre not giving them might be the very reason why everything falls apart.â
Simon finds himself blinking at the words that now escaped your lips. The downright resentment that still lingered in your tongue even after everything that had occurred between the two of you. He shouldnât have signed those fucking divorce papers.
Marriage Counseling, they should have had marriage counselling like you had begged from him all those years ago.
He stood, excusing himself to order the next round of drinks. He doesnât have it in him anymore to listen to your words cutting him to the very core.
One of the biggest mistake about accepting Priceâs offer of going out with the rest of the team for a quick drink was forgetting your non-existing alcohol tolerance. As the drink was now swimming through your blood stream, your lips become looser and there were few moments were you had almost spilled the fact that your ex-husband just happens to be sitting in front of you in the table you shared with the rest of 141.
âYou sure youâll be alright to head home on your own?â Your boss has inquired the moment it was announced the pub was closing up for the early morning.
You nodded with a smile, but the warmth that you were certain painted your skin and the dazed eyes, you were all too sure that it would be a big mistake for you to do. Go knows how dangerous it would be for a drunk like you to head home all on your own.
âIâll take her home.â Simon announced and before you could protest, John had nodded agreeing that it would be the best thing to do and you couldnât protest or show even a smidge of irritation as you were given a death glare by your ex-husband.
âThank you for letting me join you guys.â You spoke towards your boss, the giggly duo of Soap and Gaz. âIâll text once I get home.â You promised them following Simon out of the pub.
You took a deep breath as the cool morning air sobered you up for a moment as you waited for the man with his car. Frowning when you realized the man didnât have his car with him but rather his death machine known as his motorcycle.
âHere.â He muttered practically shoving an all too familiar helmet towards you.
Like quick work, you had put on the helmet, ensuring to adjust the strap before the man does. You were still unprepared to be in close proximity with the man but here you were.
Watching him pull down the foot peg, he turned to you waiting for you to ride himâride his motorcycle. With a deep breath you rode behind him, the skirt riding up your legs and he was quick to pull it down for your own decency before revving the engine on.
âHold on tight.â He ordered and your body was on autopilot as you wrapped your arms around his waist as he sped off.
You know it was the alcohol but you find yourself smelling him, the all too familiar smell of his musk and cologneâthe same cologne you had given him when he told you were promoted to Lieutenant. Your head rested on his back, cheek squished against the expansion of his back, feeling the way his back tense at your touch as it had the same effect for you feeling his warmth all over again.
âWhere?â He questioned you as the bike halted at the stoplight.
You slurred your words, but you did your best to tell him directions to where your apartment was. Your sober self would have slapped you at the back of the head for letting Simon know about your whereabouts, knowing it wasnât something he needed to know anymore.
For a moment as the winds blew against your cheeks, you were brought back to the memories of your time together. How you feared his driving and his bike more than anything else in the world but every single time he made sure you were at your safest with him, always did even in this moment.
You remembered the dates you would both have at night when he was at his most sleepless. By the park, your arms wrapped around him as his head rested on your shoulders. How you had carried so much of his nightmare even when you truly knew nothing but what he would let you know which wasnât much and would only be in the instance that you would have accidentally heard during his nightmares.
You remembered how tired you were as much as you loved him, how much he had meant the world to you in that very moment but slowly but surely it wasnât the same anymore. You felt the resentment before the anger for everything he wasnât willing to give you. You gave him everything thing but he could barely give you anything in return.
âWeâre here.â Simon announced, pulling away from him you turned and he was right. You were back in your apartment and you didnât realize how fast time has flown since as you were deep in your thoughts.
Hopping down the bike with the man helping you, you turned to him and your mouth moved before you could stop yourself.
âWant to head insideâfor coffee at least as a thank you?â
âI think coffee and a conversation would be the best thing for the both of us to do at this point in time, Love.â
You felt your pulse quicken as everything single thing you had talked about in the pub was coming back to bite you in the ass. Simon has his ulterior motive after all for wanting to escort you back home.
All you did was nod, heading to the door with the man following closely behind. You felt your hands shaking but you had succeeded in keying the door open. Opening the door for him, you walked further inside, opening the lights and toeing off the flats you had on.
You placed your wallet and keys on the coffee table and found yourself sitting on the couch waiting for the man to follow you.
You heard Simon close the door, the sound of the lock being turned and the sound of his leather jacket had you worried for what was to come.
âI fucking take you seriously with the bloody helmet still on your head.â He pointed out as he stood right in front of you, unclasping the helmet from your head and for the first time in a long time, you saw him up close and the way the darkness of his eye bags was the most prominent about himâit had gotten so much worse than when you were still married. Was it because of you?
âSorry.â You mumbled as you watched him place the helmet on top of the coffee table alongside most of your things.
âWhereâs the kitchen?â
You pointed towards you left and the man had made himself at him. The sound of cupboard being opened and the all too familiar muttering of horrible instant coffee you always wanted was heard. You wanted to let out a giggle but the sudden fear of the reality of your decision brought back something you never thought you would ever relive.
You sigh elbows digging onto your thighs, as your slumped your face into your hands. Why did you offer to have him here? Why did you accept the offer of him taking you back home? Why did you accept Kateâs offer of working for John? Why did you decide to divorce Simon?
In your own mini-panic attack, the smell of vanilla latte had you pulling away from your hands and you saw the cup of coffee already in the table and Simon was already sitting in front of you, without the surgical mask and without the figurative mask he was wearing at the base.
âWhy are you doing this to me?â He questioned.
âI donât know what youâre talking about.â
âOf all the places you could work why the base?â
âItâs not like I knew you were working for Price.â You snort. âIt was Kate that suggested I work thereâa new environment for me after everything that happened.â
Kate had called it her own version of exposure therapy. You truly appreciated her help even after knowing your ex-husband was working there in the same vicinity as you.
âYou could have left?â
You snort. Aside from everything that came with the military, the money was too good to leaveâbut that was not something you would want to discuss with Simon knowing his intent to still provide for you even with the ink on the divorce papers were still drying.
âWhy would I? You and I have nothing between us.â You spoke, knife sharp as his own words of calling you a headache to him.
âWhat you said to the team is that the real reason why you filed for divorce?â
All you could do was nod.
âYou could have talk to me that you werenât happy anymore we could have made it work.â
âNo you wonât, Si.â You shook your head, arms crossed against your chest, you feared the words that would be thrown between the two of you now especially at your state. âI would have made it work.â
âWhat do you want me to do then? What could I have done then? You say one thing but mean something else?â
âBecause every single time I wanted you to open up to me, you closed yourself up even more!â You spat right at him now. âDo you know how hard it was for me to bare myself to you about the shit in my life and in my family only to be reciprocated with how your family was fucked up but not an explanation for it?â
âThatâs none of your business.â His voice grows dark, it was a sensitive topic.
âThen why were we even married if it wasnât my business?â Your voice growing louder now, exasperated by this conversation. âWhat was the use of our vows if you would keep the smallest things a secret from me?â
âItâs not fucking small!â He screamed right back at you and you instinctively flinched at his voice then. Why was he being so cruel to you now?
âWhen I married you, I accepted you for who you are, I accepted that you canât truly tell me what your missions were about or about whatever details about your deployment were. But even just something, anything that would make me believe that I was something more than a whore you could fuck and a maid that would take care of the house and cook you fucking food would have been appreciated.â
âYou were my wife, wasnât that enough?â
âNo it was not, Simon.â You spat. âYou never made me feel like I was truly your wife when you shut yourself down after coming home to me. You werenât the same man that I had accidentally spilled coffee on when we first met.â
âIf you knew me for the things Iâve been through you wouldnât look at me the same way.â
âAnd how would you know that?â You questioned him. âHow could you think for me when you donât even know what I would think of you after everything weâve been through?â
âYou want to know the truth?â
âYes. Maybe that way I can finally move on from anything that has to do with you.â
You know that was the wrong thing to say as the man cracked his neck and began to talk. About his life, about the abuse he had to endure at the hands of his father. He began to talk about the new beginning of his life when his father died and everyone tried their best to recover. He told you of his mother that he loved more than anything else at that point, of his brother, of his sister-in-law, and of his young nephew Joseph.
He told you about how he was finally at peace with the trauma of his life back then before things gotten to hell and back. He told you of the man named Roba, he told you of the abuse he had to once again go through at the hands of Robaâs men, physically, mentally, and sexually. He told you why he hated confined spaced after being buried alive in a coffin with a man named Vernon, a rotten corpse that he had to use the jaw of to escape death.
He told you of the death of his family, of Marcus Washington killing his family. Killing his mother, his brother, his sister-in-law, and his nephew that didnât deserve being involved in anything the mission was about. He told you how he had to burn the bodies of what was left of his family and his identity in the process. You learned then why he was called Ghost and what it had meant for him and his past that continued to haunt him.
You were left stunned, unable to form words about everything that has happened to your husband. But it was the fact that now everything about him made sense. All the little things about his personality of why he was the man that sat in front of you today. It all made sense and it scared you that he was right. How you truly didnât know what to say or what to feel now that youâve learned of his past that he tried so hard to hide from you.
âHappy?â
âDonât be cruel, Simon.â You whispered now, the tears were slowly forming from your eyes now, you wanted to cry for him, to mourn the family that he had lost and for adding yourself into the pain he was now enduring.
âCruel?â He laughed, no humor in his words, malice was more evident. âWhatâs cruel is you still using my last name and airing out our dirty laundry to the men I work with instead of talking to me first.â
âIt doesnât matter anymore.â You shook your head, stung by his words. He was right but you werenât going to admit it right now. A small ounce of pride still clawing its way out of you. âAnd you know why I still used your last name.â
It was your family. You wanted to erase was little traces of your family remained. Even in the divorce, you always had it in mind to remain a Riley. It was better than having to be the ghost of your former self all over again.
He stood now, knowing it was all he needed to know. He walked away but somehow a lingering thought had you opening your lips all over again.
âWhy didnât you fight for me, Si? Why did you sign the papers back then if you truly didnât want to break up?â
âBecause no matter how much I loved and needed you in my life, I will always choose your happiness before my own.â He answered, opening the door and leaving.
The sound of his bike echoing as you were left to mourn the closure of your relationship with the man that had meant the world to you. With all the regret finally coming full force you were left knowing that you had broken the man more than he already was and there was no turning back from it anymore.
Itâs been well over a year now since you have been hired as Captain John Priceâs secretary. Things were slowly but surely getting better for you and your career. Since the day you had talked with Simon, you wouldnât say things between the two of you were getting better but you were civil with each other. Youâve interacted with him a few times, especially when it came to paper works but nothing more was said between the two of you.
Even with Priceâs rule of not getting yourself involved with anyone in the team, it was becoming a mission for both Gaz and Soap to set you up with people on the base. Doctors or medics were somehow their number one target for you, but every single time, you find yourself relenting to just one date but never pushing for something more.
After knowing the truth about your ex, you didnât have the heart to be so cruel to him more than you already were working in the base as him. Your free time away from base were spent with hobbies you had while still being married to Simon, baking and journaling, it was relief to be able to do it now with a new light was shed to the events of your marriage failing. Youâve also come to accept the offer of Kateâs wifeâs therapist. It was a big help to be able to talk to someone else about everything youâve been through.
Youâve learned to accept that you had your own mistake in the failure of your marriage just as much as Simon did. But your therapist has also come to mention that you needed to begin your own journey of healing from the what ifs of it, and live in the aftermath as painful as it was for you now.
âThat dangerous?â You found yourself fearing for the worse at the conversation you were having with your boss as he explained to you the vague details of the upcoming mission him and the rest of the Task Force had for today.
With the chaos of prepping and planning, your boss was constantly on his feet and you were following him every step away for most of it to field calls and handle most of the paperworks to be sent out to sign and shipped to the higher ups. But to know a glimpse of what was happening and how your ex-husband would be involved in all of this worried you more than you would like to admit.
âIt is what it is, if it meant a safer and better world, we would do it over and over again.â He explained.
âJust be careful, I still want to keep my job and I canât if youâre dead, Boss.â You teased.
âLaswell can still be able to deal with you if Iâm gone.â He retorted right back earning a quick laugh from you.
One thing that you had gotten so used to was his humor and how you had showcased your own as time went by working for the man. You appreciated him for being one of the two best bosses you had ever had in your career.
âShouldnât you be preparing for the mission?â You quipped right back.
âI should.â He chuckled standing right up in his full height. âCan you go check on the boys for me while I do?â
You could have refused, but a small part of you wanted to check up on Simon. Standing up, you had made your round, first stopping by Soapâs room to check up on him and notify him about the mission. Soap being the man that he was already suggesting you another man in the base beforehand.
âHow about Micah? Pretty bloke that just joined the Medic team.â He began shoving the rest of his things into his duffle bag.
âJohnny, for the last time, Iâm not into those pretty type you think Iâm into.â You tried to indulge him in the conversation for now knowing it would ease him from the mission.
âWhat is your type so me and Gaz could actually find someone for you?â He pouted.
âTall, blonde, dark and broody and with a heavy Manchester-accent.â You indulged him with description of the only man you actually loved.
âWhy the fuck are you describing Ghost?â He snorts. âYou got a thing for him? I thought you swore off anyone from the military?â
âNever said it was Ghost, Johnny.â You quipped right back. You hugged him and have him wrap his arms around you right back. âBe careful for me will you, I canât live my life here in the base knowing you or Gaz arenât here trying to set me up with anyone and everyone in the base including the married ones.â
âHey we didnât know Wilson was married.â He protested as he pulled away to look at you in offense.
âAt this point Iâve already had dinner with half of the base, letâs keep it to a minimum when you get back. I might show you my ex so you can have an idea of what my type is.â
âDeal.â He grinned kissing you on top of the head before leaving to head to the meeting room.
You next stop was Gaz which wasnât much of a journey with how close his room was to Soapâs. Knocking inside, you were immediately welcomed into the arms of Gaz. Unlike Soap that had been fixated with setting you up with someone in the base, Gaz was more focused on the next get together you could go to after the mission.
âI think me and Soap could convince Price to have a weekend in his vacation house in Cornwall.â
You nodded knowing it wouldnât take much to convince Price if it meant helping the rest of the team with de-stressing and ensuring everyone has recovered mentally from the mission. But it also meant that you would be in charge of cooking knowing you and Price were the only ones that knew how to cook and you wanted your boss to actually have time to recover himself in the process.
âAs long as you help me with grocery and prepping then you got a deal.â You winked pulling away from him with a smile already excited to bake them your famous apple pie they constantly beg you to make for them since the first time making it for them.
âDeal.â He grinned kissing you on the cheeks and just like Soap, finding himself heading out with his bag already at hand.
It now meant you had one last person you needed to stop by before the mission prep. You took your time somehow rehearsing what you could probably say to the man for his upcoming mission. You had your worry and you knew this was a dangerous mission.
Knocking on his door, you heard the gruff response from the other side of the door.
âSimon?â You called and immediately heard the door being unlocked.
You were faced with him wearing his skull balaclava mask. This was the side of him that you never gotten used to see but it was a part of him that you could never truly erase from him.
âWhatâs wrong?â He asked you allowing you to walk inside.
âPrice told me to notify you about heading out for the mission.â You explained. âAnd I justâI just wanted to ask you to be careful on the mission.â
âAlways.â He nodded.
A moment of silence has passed between the two of you before you were reminded of your therapistâs words. There was nothing wrong if you extended an olive branch to the man after everything was out in the open.
âAfter the mission, I would love to have you join us in Priceâs cabin in Cornwall for a quick vacation too.â You added. âI know youâre busy with whatever you need to do to distress after a mission, but I would think it would be good to you if you joined. I can opts this one out if youâre more comfortable with that.â
âIâd go.â He nodded. âBut I want you to join along and I want you to make me that lovely cheesecake you always make for me after I come home from deployment.â
You smiled knowing that it was always the same, a way to a manâs heart is always through his stomach.
âAnything else you want?â You asked wanting to give in to his all too simple request.
âAnd I want us to at least be friends, youâre part of the team now and they care for you and it wouldnât do anyone good for us to act like we canât stand each other.â
You nodded, heart aching a little at what he wanted. Friends. That was all he wanted and you would gladly compromise this time for him if that was what makes him truly happy.
âFriends.â You smiled, taking a hesitant step towards him for a hug but stopped mid movement as he pulled you right into his arms. The all too familiar warmth that consumed him.
âI wished things would have been different between the two of us.â He whispered kissing the top of your head. âIâd give you the world when I couldnât give you myself fully.â
You closed your eyes wrapping your arms around his broad back.
âI wished I was strong enough for the two of us.â You whispered the tears slowly forming your eyes. âI wished I stayed a little longer for the two of us.â
âI never stopped loving you, Love. We might not be married anymore but you will be the only woman I will ever love truly with all my life and with all my soul.â
âYou too, Si.â You whispered looking up at him allowing the tears to flow freely from your eyes now. âAfter everything that had happened between us, I will always love you.â
It was the middle of the night when you heard the familiar ringtone of your old phone. The same phone that only Simon knew the number to. You blinked away the sleep as you pulled the phone right out of the bedside table.
An unfamiliar number took you by surprise and for a moment you wanted to not answer it thinking it might be a telemarketerâbut something had pushed you to press the answer button and hear whoever was on the other line.
âHello?â You whispered clearing your throat.
âMrs. Riley?â The familiar voice of John had you tensing. You found yourself sitting up from the bed as he began to introduce himself and why he had called.
âWhat happened to Simon?â You questioned checking your bedside clock to see what time it was.
It was just past midnight, three weeks since they had left for their mission and this was the first time you had gotten any contact to any one of them.
âAs of right now, we are not sure if he would make it through the night. If you want we could have you someone fetch you to see him.â
You felt your world still at the news. Just when things were finally moving into the right direction between you and Simon.
âIâll be there as soon as possible.â You assured hanging up and changing into some sweatshirt and sweatpants.
The travel to the now familiar base was a daze to you as you drove. You werenât much of a religious person, but your lips did not stop moving as you prayed. You prayed that your husband would be alright, you bargained that you would make things right with him if it meant he would stay.
âDonât leave me, Simon.â You whispered over and over again until you arrived to the base.
You had ignored most of the surprise that the soldier on duty had shown at your sudden appearanceâthe fact that you were in just your ratty clothes was also something you chose to ignore as you made a beeline to where the infirmary was.
Huddled in front of the door was your boss, John, Soap, and Gaz. Each and every single one of them injured in their own wayâmostly superficial from the bandages that plastered all over their beaten faces.
âJohn.â You called having three heads turning to you in question. âHow is he?â You questioned as the tears begin to fall from your eyes at the reality of the situation coming to crush you. âHow is my husband?â
The realization washed over all of them, of the secret you and Simon had hidden from everyone. The weight was too much as you were wrapped in the arms of the family you had found yourself becoming a part of.
âWill he be alright?â You pleaded, holding onto Johnâs vest. âPlease tell me he will be alright.â You begged falling to your knees in front of him.
âThe doctors are doing their best, Love.â John reassured kneeling in front of you, wrapping you into his arms as you continued to sob. âBut Simon took most of the impact from the explosion.â
The reality scared you so much. You tried you best to remember the last interaction you had with Simon, the hug, the promise of a new beginning, and everything else in between. It all came crashing down to this very point.
There was a very big chance that you will finally lose Simon and it scared you so much more than anything in this world. You couldnât lose him, not like this, not when there was so much left between the two of you to make up for.
âHe canât leave me, John.â You whimpered. âHe promised me he wouldnât leave me like this.â You screamed at the top of your lungs.
You were made aware of the vows you had made to each other when you got married at the court house. Of how he had promised to the best of his abilities that he wouldnât die in the line of duty before he could have the chance to retire. He promised you a family, he promised you the world, and he promised you your happiness. He was your family, he was your world, and he was your happiness that you realize only when it was too late.
For the next few weeks, the world around you had become blur. You were now much of a permanent fixture of the Taskforceâs base. Morning and the afternoon was spent still working for Price, especially with the piling number of paperworks the mission had caused and your nights were spent in the infirmary, watching over Simon that has yet to awake from his slumber.
When the doctors had given you the green light that you can see himâit took you hours before you did. Even after John, Soap, and Gaz had finished with their own visit, it took so much of what little strength you had to finally see him in his state.
Broken bones, laceration, head trauma, blood loss and amongst the other injuries that the doctors has informed you should have killed him but he was still alive even in his current state. He still had fight in him, he was still fighting to keep alive.
âIâve come to realize that post-mission Price was a whole different breed of a grump, more than he usually is.â You began talking to your still unconscious ex.
The doctor had told you about him being able to hear your voice and you took the opportunity to talk his ear off with him unable to give his usual sarcastic comments or grunts as response. There were days you told him about your day at work, days where you told him about what you had been doing since you left your home and tried and failed to move on from him, and there were days where you apologized to him, regretting the divorce and everything else that been the reason for the demise of your marriage.
âI think since the divorce Iâve realized a lot of shit about us.â You sighed leaning against the uncomfortable plastic chair. âIf you wake up, Iâll try to do my best to convince you to take me back.â You mused arms crossed against your chest. âI know you donât have as much of a happy memory after what happened to your family, but when you wake up, I want to make sure we make as much happy memories as we could together, I want you to tell me about what your Ma was like, what kind of brother Tommy was like, and how adorable Joseph was, I want all of that and more with you.â
You wiped away the tears that have yet to fall, you didnât want to cry. You thought that you didnât have any more tears to shed. The gravity of almost losing Simon was the wakeup call you needed and now it was nothing more than a waiting game until he wakes up.
âI fucking canât be your friend, Si.â You admit. âI canât be happy with just being your friend. I want you to be my husband again, Si. After almost losing you I know I canât live knowing we havenât fixed our relationship. Iâll do anything and everything to make it up to you, all the pain and hurt Iâve caused you.â
âAnything?â
You almost jumped from where you sat at the sight of the man whose eyes were now focused on you.
âSimon?â
âAm I just high or did you say what you did?â
âWhat?â
âThat you would make up for everything?â He muttered groggily.
âI did.â You nodded blinking in disbelief that he was here, awake. Alive.
âThen marry me. Let me make it right this time, Love. I promise Iâll make it work, Iâll do my best to make you happy the way that you deserve.â
âYes.â You answered almost immediately, finding yourself giggling about how ridiculous his second proposal was with his current stateâbut you didnât want it any other way.
He requested for you to take his dog tag around his neck off and only then did you notice that your wedding ring enclosed around his necklace. Even with the years that passed, he still had it with him. The very same ring you two had brought together before you had headed to the courthouse for your marriage.
âCan I add another stipulation?â He held onto your free hand.
âAnything.â You smiled rubbing your hand against the callousness of his hand. âAnything to make it work, Si.â
âNo more blind dates from the Sergeants.â
âThey could never hold a candle to you, Simon.â You giggled leaning in for a kiss, the weight that rested on your shoulders slowly easing away.
You were home, you were back in the arms of Simon after all was said and done.

Actually the difference between Rahuvian men and Ketuvian men in first impressions is interesting because, imo ofc, Rahu makes them come off a lot more harsh or rougher by speech or mannerisms, which can be Rahu's illusory effect. The whole, âtough on the outside, sensitive on the insideâ trope.
Swati Moon native Ryan Reynolds is an example of this, often portrayed as wittingly combative to mask his fragility and delicate ego.
In the movie 10 Things I Hate About You, Ardra Moon Heath Ledger plays a ruggish teenager who is known to be scary or unapproachable, who proves to be actually vulnerable or "sweet" (however you like to describe him).
Mark Wahlberg, who has Swati Moon, is often typecasted as characters that are verbally combative or outwardly harsh, while internally longing for authentic expression of his feelings (such as in the movie Daddy's Home which he stars in).
While Ketu makes natives, from what I've noticed, come off as shy or standoffish, and they're often perceived as gentle or âdeepâ (sometimes). There's an illusory effect to Ketu men that I've picked up on, and I say illusory because this is entirely based on the reactions of people, where they're regarded as fragile and weak in some way. People, in the comments, will say how âhumbleâ, âfrailâ, âdelicateâ and âbeautifulâ some of these natives are. And notice how these Ketu public figures are often ranked high in their work, considered to be serious, gritty or passionate artists despite their withdrawn, passive or seemingly sensitive nature.
Celebrity examples: Michael Jackson, who had Magha Sun. Cillian Murphy, who has potential Ashwini Moon. Daniel Day Lewis, who also has Ashwini Moon. And J Robert Oppenheimer, who had Ashwini Sun. Even Mula Sun Timothee Chalamet had commentators perceiving him this way.
In their passions, they can get scarily fixated and fiery, which often contrasts with their passive nature outside as they are always, more actively, within their own world â âself-absorbedâ â where these allegations of being deep and introspective come from. I already talked about this inward nature in this post, in a more negative light, through the Narcissus archetype, concerning Ketuvians in general.

This makes a lot of sense as Ketu makes one inward, internal â this indicating how the fire element in these nakshatras function. The 12th house is where Ketu feels more comfortable, which makes sense with themes of introversion, dissociation and otherworldliness.
I think Tom Hiddleston is also known for being âdeepâ, introspective, and gentle, with a burning passion inside, only for him to be a possible Ashwini Moon native. Young Daniel Day Lewis (especially in the provided second clip) has always reminded me of Tom Hiddleston, especially in his speech patterns. They both come off quite book-ish and sensitive (like the Belleâarchetype, in Mula nakshatra). And Daniel, also much like Michael Jackson, is very soft-spoken. Very interesting.

hi there! platonic aventurine, jing yuan, sunday, blade, welt, dan heng, boothill, argenti and dr ratio with a teen reader who is like fischl?
Hi anon <33 I really wanted to finish this in one part because i loved this req in specific (i love fischl) but idk why Iâm lacking sm motivation,,, so I decided to split this into 2 parts (hopefully) i hope you donât mind,,, thank you so much for requesting <33 if youâre unsatisfied just tell me and iâll redo it !! <33
notes đ gender-neutral reader â "you" + "royal" + "they/them" used to refer to user ,, reader is a teenager ,, user is based off of "fischl" from the game genshin impact ,, platonic relationships ,, mention of fu xuan in jing yuanâs part ,, not my best work iâm sorry ,, mention of robin in sundayâs part ,, not proofread ignore typos
â When he first met you, AVENTURINE was a bit taken aback with your speech and eccentric character in general. You claim to be royalty from a far away world, and while Aventurine didnât quite believe it at first there was a small part of him that was lowkey kind of convinced.
â He was a bit concerned that someone like you was so high ranking in the IPC because he knows the IPC is probably exploiting you especially because you seem to be a bit naive, so heâll start watching over you.
â Heâll gradually get used to your persona and understand what you say. He might need a second to process if you drop a huge paragraph of dialogue on him, but with every conversation and interaction he gets faster.
â Takes one to know one â AVENTURINE can tell youâre trying to cope with something thatâs happened in the past via roleplaying this character you put on, and he wonât be the one to burst your bubble. In fact, heâll try to protect it for as long as possible.
â Nobodyâs going to make fun of you while heâs around. If anyone tries to reality check you, heâll lowkey gaslight them into thinking that everything you say is real. Yeah, youâre a royal. Heâs also actually seen this far away land you speak of, so that person is just being an ignorant hater !!
â If your character is based off of someone from a book like Fischl, AVENTURINE will find that book and read it to better understand your references and persona as a whole. Likes seeing how you get happy when he references something.
â If you ever feel insecure because of your past, AVENTURINE will be there to comfort you. Heâs good at picking up signs when it comes to you because he practically had your character memorized. Heâll try to distract you from your past but if you do want to open up and vent heâll be there to listen.
â Give him a role in your little world and heâll play it scarily well. Would probably do best as a royal advisor or assistant.
â Buys you literally anything and everything that could fit your aesthetic and world. Fancy gems to add to your riches because every royal needs to have riches!! Buys you clothes too that you think is fit for royalty of your world.
â You practice archery next to him while he practices gun shooting and itâs nice bonding time,,
"I, [Name], [Insert desired title here], descend upon this land by the call of fate anâ Oh, you are also a traveler from another world? Very well, I grant you permission to travel with me."
"Theyâre saying that itâs nice to meet you."
â Was not in any way bothered or confused by your eccentric mannerisms. JING YUANâs pretty used to the unique speech style due to Fu Xuan, so he understands what youâre saying or at least gets the basic idea.
â Oh? Youâre a royal from a far away distant land? Yes yes, how nice. But royals do need to complete their training as well, no? As a cloud knight, heâs impressed with how you easily climbed up those ranks. Praises you whenever you somehow jump up a rank quicker than the last.
â He doesnât really suspect too much of your personality and that youâre putting up a front until you slip out and go ooc which makes him do a double take mentally. When you get all flustered and a bit distressed, heâll reassure you by acting like nothing happened.
â Itâs then that he really pays attention to the little story you have going on with the world you live in. If he ever forgets something important, heâll apologize and tell you that he never meant to insult your highness.
â Another one that would protect your little bubble. I donât think anyone would really want to say something bad about a high ranking cloud knight but even if they wanted to if JING YUAN or Yanqing were to hear they wouldnât know peace,,
â He can play the role you give him should you give him, especially as a general. You tell him about someone trying to attack your kingdom and heâll reassure you heâs got this !!
â Keeps a piece of paper in his pocket that has details about your persona if itâs based off of a character from a book. Also probably has a timeline on all your 'historical' events â sometimes he scares you because it feels like he knows more about your world than you do,,
â He finds your keen instincts and intuition a bit intimidating. Have you ever thought of learning a thing or two from Fu Xuan? He always trusts you whenever you feel uncertain about a plan or idea because somehow youâre almost always right in the end.
â Becomes your archery mentor and will watch over you as you train. Your skills are impressive and he finds amusement in the way you pose after a full combo.
â If you feel upset because of your past, JING YUAN will comfort you and tell you that you donât have to grow up â youâre still young and deserve to enjoy what remains before you become an adult and have to face the world. Heâll always be proud and support you no matter what.
"I hear the voice of fate, speaking my name in humble supplication..."
"Hm? Care to share what fate whispers?"
â The talk of an eccentric worker in the reverie hotel had easily reached SUNDAYâs ears, and wanting to see who this eccentric worker was, he decided to wander around during his free time to catch them in action.
â It wasnât hard to find you as you were a bit loud. Pushing the cart of luggage while speaking of your magical kingdom to the guests as they nod along, clearly invested and assuming you were a storyteller. Once you had brought the guestsâ luggage to their room and left, SUNDAY made his way to you to talk with you in interest. You had quite the imagination and spoke in a very sophisticated manner for your age.
â Wasnât at all phased by the paragraphs upon paragraphs of dialogue you would drop on him, replying easily and holding the conversation well. He noticed you seemed happier the longer he spoke to you.
â While some guests may be annoyed by your behavior, heâll remind them â if heâs present â that penacony is the land of festivities and many different people visit. Plus, youâre young and free to be who you want to be. If youâre really get picked on though heâll deal with them personally.
â SUNDAY is scarily observant so he knows youâre playing a character. He doesnât really acknowledge it too much or confronts you, though, since everyone in penacony is also technically playing the character they wish they were.
â Because of that, SUNDAY will let you do as you please. Heâll indulge you and will play the role you wish for him to play. Heâs good at acting, so he can play whatever you wish. It reminds him of when heâd play pretend when Robin when he was younger.
â Has everything about your character memorized. However he knows what to say and what not to say so he doesnât fluster you by knowing more than you. Will also cover for you if you accidentally go ooc.
â Your ability to rise up in the ranks so quickly will eventually make you work directly under him at some point and when that happens trust that people will refer to you with a royal title. He may indulge you a bit too much,,,
â When you open to SUNDAY about your past, he kind of just. . . Dodges the subject after that. Doesnât mention it at all. May act like your father a bit and call you his [insert royal title here] â you never realize itâs him trying to reassure you that you neednât worry about growing up and being mature because of the role youâve given him.
â Gets a bit worried for your safety when you practice archery, but he also appreciates the fact you can take care of yourself should you face any dangers (especially in the dreamscape.)
â Takes your advice and warnings a bit seriously because of how good your intuition and keen instincts were. (He didnât listen ONCE and he paid the price.)
"What does it take to rile a royal? ...If you must know, it is those who cannot recognize my true identity. But it is no great loss, for solitude is the noble's lot, so long as I do not lose the nobility of my soul..."
"How wise you are, your highness."
â He has no idea when it happened, but one day BLADE became your 'knight' and he has yet to comment on it. Not really the best knight as he doesnât really stay close to you on the daily however also a really good knight as he protects you during missions to the point where you donât use a single arrow.
â Can understand what you day, does not translate for other people. Youâre the yapper and heâs the listener. Doesnât reply like 95% of the time but when he does itâs really flat and monotone which you donât mind because heâs the big scary knight !!
â Gets teased by the other stellaron hunters for indulging you, but he doesnât really care too much. He canât leave you to die during missions, can he? Youâre way too young to hold your own properly so heâs there to make sure the number of stellaron hunters doesnât decrease (thatâs his reasoning donât ruin it pls.)
â Said this in other posts: not the best at comforting so when you open up, heâs kind of just,,, there. Heâs also a bit distant sometimes but after that heâll try to put an effort into playing his role so you donât get upset or feel like heâs ignoring you.
â Nobody thinks of making fun of you or your interests because BLADEâs always standing behind you â even if youâre tall for your age itâs still very scary to have him just staring at the person with a dead look.
â Doesnât research your character like the others â he learns as he goes. He doesnât even have the chance to mess up because he just doesnât talk much so he canât mess up.
â Not much to say for Bladie he just goes with it,,
"Dusk and dawn but fleeting shadows are. Once more, the twists of fate have led you into my everlasting night."
"âŚGood morning."

Misperceptions
[Sorry, I'm late!! But here's your holiday present @evilmenshoe80!! I hope you like it!! I tried my best, but I'm sorry if I made your characters ooc đââď¸]
There were two great armies of Heaven. The more well known one, The Army of God, was led by none other than the archangel Michael, Prince of the Heavenly Hosts, who defended Heaven from monsters that lurked within the endless void. The other army, The Exorcists, was led by Adam the First Man, Godâs greatest creation, and was an army shrouded by mystery and secrecy. Not many knew what exactly the Exorcists did, save for a few higher ranked angels, just that their work was just as important as the Army of Godâs.
And while the two armies share a similar role of protecting Heaven from the dangers of the world outside, their public impression could not be more contrasting. The Army of God, just like their leader, were composed of angels trained to the highest of caliber, highly serious and committed to their duties, exuding an aura of pristine excellence as they sport their golden armour. The Exorcists, on the other hand, were composed of only female angels, saved for their golden commander, clad in black and grey uniforms with a menacing devilish helmet to obscure their faces. And unlike the soldiers of Michael, the Exorcists were often found to be quite the lively group with a harsh undertone. However, despite the two armies' differences, both commanded respect and adoration from the citizens of Heaven for their reputation as strong and reliable defenders of Heaven.Â
The leaders of these two armies, Adam and Michael, while they both shared a reputation of being strong and capable commanders, appeared to hold no love for one another. With both having a propensity for obstinacy, unwilling to share control to anyone else despite evidence that would suggest it better to let go, the two were bound to clash heads often. Just like nowâŚ
ââand thatâs why I think the technique youâre teaching them needs more work,â Michael ended his long critique regarding the Exorcists weapon handling skills and techniques as he watched the women train in their barracks, standing beside their commander, Adam.Â
A loud slurping noise from a drink that was essentially empty was all the response Michael received from Adam, who remained sitting slack on the bench as he watched his girls train hard for the upcoming extermination.Â
âAdam.â
More slurping, an uncouth burp, and then more persistent slurping from the straw before Adam finally gave Michael a glance, one brow raised. âDude.âÂ
Michael simply responded with a similar quirk of his brow, a silent dare for Adam to say what he had in his mind.
âTheyâre my girls,â Adam started, âand they're badasses already.â
âThey could be even better,â Michael insisted, arms crossed as he looked down on Adam, a hint of worry in his calm features. âYou can never be too careful when dealing with Hell,â he added in a hushed tone.
A snigger left Adam at the archangelâs words of concern as he placed his now empty cup to sit on the bench beside him. An air of nonchalance clinging heavier than ever on him as he waved Michael off, âWhat can they even do? Weâre invulnerable. Calm your ass and tend to your own soldiers instead.â
In a way, Adam understood where Michael was coming from. Hell was a place not to be underestimated, filled with the most vile, filthy, unsalvageable souls in existence; the chaos and madness only exacerbated by their useless excuse for a king. One would be wise to completely avoid that dumpster fire of a place, or even better, cleanse the filth off of existence with an army of deadly skilled angels. And Adamâs army of exorcists were more than capable of doing the job, possessing both the skill and passion required for such a gruesome task. So while he somewhat appreciated Michaelâs persistence on impeccability and covering all bases, even the irrelevant ones, the most it did for him was grate his nerves a little since as literal angels, they were already immune to whatever sinners could even hope to throw at them. The concern was sweet, but highly unnecessary.Â
âYouâll be the one needing to tend your ass later,â mumbled Michael though Adam didnât miss a single word that was said.Â
âWhaâ! You!!â hissed Adam as he swiftly threw his empty cup at the archangel, who easily dodged the projectile. Â
Beneath his mask, Adamâs face was a bright gold, the ventilation and cooling system of the mask not helping in any way to calm the heat that was quickly spreading across his cheeks. And while Michael couldnât possibly see any of this, Adamâs reaction was all he needed to know he had successfully flustered his pretty angel.Â
âNo?â Michael asked with a slight tilt of his head, pretty blue eyes shining so prettily beneath long lashes, his long golden hair flowing like silk in Heavenâs cool breeze. If it were anyone else, they would instantly fall for the veil of innocence in front of him, believing that the archangel was oblivious to the undertone of his words prior. But not Adam, no. He had known and spent too much time with the Prince of Heaven to know otherwise. Of course, that didnât mean he had become immune to Michaelâs titillating gaze; somehow always finding himself readily falling for it.Â
With a huff that lacked any real heat and a golden flush still painted all over his face, Adam muttered, his voice as quiet as the gentle breeze, â...maybe laterâŚâ
âBut after work!!â Adam immediately added as he abruptly stood up to push and shove Michael out of the Exorcistsâ training grounds. âNow, get out! Youâre a distraction!â
âOh? Am I now?â pondered Michael as he let Adam shove him towards the exit.Â
âYes! Now, out!â
While all of their bickering was nothing more than playful banter and shameless flirting when they believed no one seemed to be watching, unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. Four sets of eyes lurking just behind some pink bushes watched on as Adam and Michael appeared to be in a heated dispute, with the father of humanity seemingly so aggrieved enough to have thrown his drink at their brother before proceeding to kick him out of the training grounds. Three out of four sets of eyes gave one another a concerned look, while the fourth one, with eyes like plums, simply looked bored and exhausted with a hint of irritation.Â
Four archangels pulled away from the edge of the bush, hiding themselves further into dense pink foliage as they mulled over the scene they all had just witnessed.
âThatâŚdidnât look so good,â Raphael remarked, brows creased in concern.Â
âNo, it didnât. It seemed that our brother and Adam were fighting. Again,â Jophiel nodded in agreement, her thoughts already skimming through possible causes of their seemingly long standing feud, but coming up with no viable explanation. Yes, Adam and Michael had somewhat contrasting personalities and demeanour, but she didnât think it was enough for the two to hold such dislike for one another. And yet, whenever she witnessed the two sharing a space in public, they either barely acknowledged each other, or just like she had seen now, engaged in argument with no resolution since neither seemed willing to relent.Â
âI donât understand,â she pondered aloud. âMichael isnât normally one to persist in such childish behaviour. And AdamâŚwell, he never truly let anyoneâs words affect him much.â
âNot everyone has to get along. Sometimes people just donât like each other,â Uriel added, a little irked at being dragged into a bush to spy on both his brother and the first man, when he was on his way to get some work done.Â
âBut Michaelâs our dear brother and Adamâs our precious friend!â Gabriel asserted, both hands on his thighs as he sat up even straighter as his amber eyes shone with resolve. âWe canât just leave them like this!â
In the background, Raphael placed gentle hands on Gabrielâs shoulders to ease some of the excess energy off of the spirited angel; a quiet request for silence lest they be discovered sneaking around.Â
âOkaaay?â Uriel rolled his eyes at Gabrielâs display of what he thought as childish fervour. âBut, is all this sneaking even necessary? Why donât you just ask them both directly? Thatâll get the problem solved in no time.â
âSuch things require delicacy and sensitivity to solve, Uriel,â Raphael kindly reasoned. âWe canât just pull them aside and interrogate them.â
âWe must find the root cause first,â Jophiel continued with Raphael nodding in agreement.
âOh! I know exactly what to do!â Gabriel raised a hand, energy quickly returning back to him.Â
âPlease donât tell me itâs got to do with morâ,â groaned Uriel, truly tired with this mess.Â
âThe next we see them fighting, we listen in on what they might be arguing about, then we can go on from there!â Gabriel announced proudly, a beaming smile on his face.
âUghâŚâÂ
All Uriel could do was groan and rub his temples as his two other siblings, for reasons he couldnât fathom, agreed to Gabrielâs terrible idea. He didnât mind so much, really, if only they would keep him out of their inane plan. But deep down, he knew there was no way they would âleave him outâ. Just the thought of enacting Gabrielâs plan was already giving him a headache, he couldnât imagine the mental anguish he would have to go through on the day of the plan itself. But siblings stayed together, he supposed.
â-
The day of unveiling the truth had finally arrived. And of course, Uriel just had to be dragged along with his siblings' schemes just when he was on his way to his own office. Currently, all of the archangels, including Michael and Adam, were in their work building. All four archangels, Jophiel, Raphael, Gabriel and Uriel, had all finished their lunches a little earlier than normal and were just heading back to their respective offices, when they all caught a glimpse of Adam following Michael into his office. It wasnât anything particularly unusual, they were both commanders of an angelic army, sometimes there were things they must discuss. However, Jophiel, Raphael and Gabriel were all quickly stopped in their tracks when they heard multiple things hitting the floor from Michaelâs office. Even Uriel momentarily took a pause before deciding that he was much too busy to intervene, though he was quickly pulled into it by siblings.Â
So now, all four of them were currently by the door of Michaelâs office, either crouched or standing, but all trying to eavesdrop on the possible argument inside.Â
An irritated scowl formed on Urielâs face as he pulled himself away from the door. âThis is useless. All we hear are muffled voices.â
âThen should we just knock and ask?â asked Gabriel, amber eyes wavering with worry.
âHold on a second, hmm,â Raphael lightly touched the office door, a faint golden glow emanating from his fingertips. âIt seems that Michael had placed a small barrier around his office.â
âSo we canât get in?â Jophiel queried.
Raphael shook his head, âNot really, unless we use force. Itâs only a mild barrier, nothing particularly strong.âÂ
âWell, thatâs it for us then.â Uriel clapped his hands as he stood up, ready to head back to his own office, âWe canât really do much until theyâre done with whatever theyâre fighting about this time.â
An air of resignation surrounded the siblings as they realised their current lack of options. And really, as much as they wouldâve preferred to wait outside and confront both Michael and Adam about their conflicts as soon as theyâre done fighting, they had no idea when the two would actually come out and they all still had some work to get done for the day. So, in silence, all four siblings agreed to simply catch and confront the two commanders once they were free of their duties.Â
All four were just about to separate and head on to their respective offices when they hear another much louder noise from Michaelâs office, and then another and another until something seemed to have hit the door and then fall down with a dull thud. Concern and panic swiftly washed over all four archangelâs features as they froze on their tracks with the exception of Gabriel, who immediately made his way back towards Michaelâs office with a fiery haste.Â
âThatâs it! Iâm not standing by any longer!â
And with gathered strength, Gabriel kicked the door to Michaelâs office, causing it to fly off its hinges and revealing the two commandersâŚentangled with one anotherâŚon Michaelâs deskâŚwith Adam beneath him, one bare leg wrapped around his brother.Â
âGabriel! Whatââ called out Jophiel as she followed suit with both Raphael and Uriel behind her.Â
In front of them four was a scene they had never expected to see: both Michael and Adam in a state of indecency, limbs wrapped around each other, their clothes haphazardly half taken off with Michaelâs coat at the foot of where the door used to be. Papers, books, cups and everything that used to be on Michaelâs desk scattered in a mess all over the floor. Both Michael and Adam flushed golden, their hair in wild disarray, the sweat making it stick to their faces as signs of their passion began to show in small, golden blooms along their necks and chest accompanied with a few lovingly toothed marks here and there.Â
âAAAAHHH!!â screamed Adam as he tried to both push Michael off of him while also trying to pull him closer to use him as a shield to hide the scandalous state he was in.
âUmmmâŚâ before Gabriel could even say anything more Michael had already teleported both him and Adam out of his office in a cloud of blue smoke.
âSo all this time they werenât fighting?â Jophiel wondered aloud. âIt was just their form of flirting?â
âThatâŚthat explains a lot,â Raphael said, still a little shocked at what he had just witnessed.Â
Uriel wanted to gouge out his eyes. That was something he never wanted nor needed to see.
â-
âPlease, Iâm ready to move on into my third life nowâŚâ Adam groaned into his hands as he laid on the bed of Michaelâs bedroom. A heavy cloud of unconsolable despair hung over him as he felt the weight of shame and embarrassment on his body. Never had he wished to sink into the ground and disappear forever more than ever in both his mortal life and afterlife.Â
âItâ itâs not so bad,â Michael tried to console Adam, one hand gently patting his head. âPeople were bound to find out. At least it was my siblings and not someone like Sera.â
âMichael, please, shut the fuck up.â Adam could feel the tears of shame prick his eyes. âI canât believe they caught us like that!!â screamed Adam into a pillow he had grabbed.Â
âYes, thatâ that is troublesome,â Michael nervously agreed. For all his confident capability, for the first time in his long immortal life, Michael wasnât exactly sure how to face his siblings after thisâŚincident. At least without it being painfully embarrassing for both him and Adam.Â
Adam whined into the pillow, still refusing to believe what had happened just minutes before, âI want to return to dust now, Father pleeeease!â
[I actually really really enjoyed writing your OCs, might have even fallen in love with Uriel here ahahaha.]

Dear Followers,
This is a PSA. Hikaru no Go (2020) is now available to stream on Prime Video. You should watch it.
But Caity, you may ask. Why should I watch this Chinese live action drama based on the popular turn-of-the-millenium Japanese manga and anime of the same name? The answer, my friends, is because it is fucking phenomenal.
Hikaru no Go is my favorite sports anime. It was one of the first manga I ever read. When I own a home someday and have bookshelves, it is one of the only manga series I wish to own in its entirety in print. The story is deeply compelling, moving, funny, relatable. It truly has something I haven't found in another animanga in twenty years.
And the Chinese live action adaptation takes that perfect, beautiful source material and creates something equally perfect and beautiful (if not more so? feels blasphemous to say, but boy howdy I'm not NOT saying it).
The way in which the original Japanese storyâthe characters, the culture, the game of goâis translated into Chinese is really masterfully executed. The story is incredibly faithful to the original, and when it does differ, it does so in really creative, thoughtful ways that really work.
The actors fucking nail it. Honestly all of them, but I'm looking at the kids in the first two episodes in particular. Blown away by the performances of a couple of ten-year-olds. Kids have a bright future ahead of them, damn.
This show has the budget. If y'all know me at all, you know I'll enjoy a low-budget wuxia flick because it's a good time, but damn, if I had standards, they would be met and exceeded by this show. The hair, the makeup, the costumes, the effects (there is an effect every time the "ghost" is on screen where he is partially translucent. It is perfectly executed and incredibly impressive, at least to my layman eyes). The very first opening credits scene is super beautiful, the end credits are beautiful, it's all just so pretty and polished and feels good on my eye holes.
Honestly, I cannot gush enough about this show. It ranks up with Nirvana in Fire in my heart (which I do not say lightly, considering I went through my entire list and lowered the ratings I'd given each show accordingly after I first watched nif so that the 10 weighed more heavily).
tl;dr: If you liked the hikago animanga, you should watch this show. If you never read/watched hikago, you should watch this show. If you did not like hikago, you should watch this show. Please watch this show, I am begging you.
Sincerely, A Rabid Hikago Fangirl

Hihi! I was wondering, would you take requests for reader based on characters from shows/games?:3 also, Iâd like 2 request a gn!child reader w Dottore - reader is quiet and doesnât like to be out or talk to people a lot, but when someone mentions something remotely interesting they rant a lot!! :D
Hello! You're Request has been made!
I do take request from Shows or games, but if it comes to shows, you can request them, but i never did watch many so i would have to go watch the show first before i make your Request
(*^^*)âĄ
TALKATIVE/SHY GN!CHILD READER & PLATONIC DOTTORE

â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â
You've been Dottore's child since 2 years already
At first it was hard for him because you didn't talk a lot
That seemed to change when he began talking about one of GN!readers hobbys
Not even a second after he bought up the topic you began to rant
Dottore was impressed, who knew you would talk a lot if its something you like?
You always seemed to hide behind him when there were a lot of people, but when you're alone with your father figure you became an extrovert who couldn't stop yapping
Once you started talking theres no stopping you
"Its nice.? That were talking about this... but i must go? I shall see you tomorrow"-dottore
"OH! Don't worry i can just come with you!(((o(*°â˝Â°*)o)))"-You
You followed him. FOR 2 HOURS AND DIDNT STOP YAPPINGđđ
After that day he still listened, but he does sometimes just drop you off next to one of the lower ranks
Everytime someone new comes into the same room as you and Dottore, you're suddently quieter than a damn Mouse
You then hide behind dottores leg until they're gone
The Fatui thinks that you're just really introverted and don't like talking
Who's gonna tell them that you just won't stop talking?
Dottore once left you alone in a Meeting room, when he came back to take you to you're room, he saw you and childe yapping
You were talking so many sentences in a minute, and Childe was listening to everything you saidđ
"AND I JUST THINK THAT WE SHOULD HAVE-" -You
"HM HM YES I AGREE OMG DO YOU THINK-" -Childe
" ŮŠ(ŕšď˝Ľŕ¸´á´ď˝Ľŕ¸´)ۜي(シิá´ď˝Ľŕ¸´ŕš)Űś" -you both
Dottore just stood there :(ăť_ăťăž"
You both talked for 5 hours
Dottore has banned you from meeting Childe every day
You have playdates with childe every week so you both can yap
Childe told the Harbingers that you and him get along really well and talk a lot
The Harbingers just thought he was delusionalđđ
Until they saw you and childe yapping together
The Harbingers lowkey avoid you and childe when yall are together, because why should they hear you yap about smth for HOURS?
Dottore finds it calming when you yap while he does an experiment, it helps him focus because of the background noises
Summary: You are one of a yapper who doesen't stop talking, but Dottore loves that about you. He feels calm when he hears you talk a lot, he knows that you're okay whenever you yap

Thanks for reading! I hope you liked it and do give me Requests! ââă˝(*'、^*)chu

crossed wires
k. kenma âđâËâšđ

fluff | misunderstandings (nothing serious) | reader has a rbf | mutual pining | cursing | fem. reader
this is a cute idea i had; i thought kenma would be a good fit for this ;p

"kenma, how do you not see what everyone else does?"
kuroo's teasing voice rung through Kenya's mind. it was like an alarm going off on an early school day. please, just be quiet. kenma stared at the giant 'GAME OVER' on his console; his irritation with his best friend seemingly growing.
"clearly, you're not seeing correctly. you sure your hair isn't cutting off any brain cells?" kenma mumbled as he pettily shut off his console. his eyebrow twitching when he heard the familiar snicker from the tall captain next to him.
"dude.. that's like.. not possible."
kenma did not have the energy to respond.
the two friends continued on their walk home after a long practice. kuroo, the whole walk there, had been nonstop bickering about the 'not so obvious but totally obvious' admirer he had: (name). admirer was not the term he would use. if anything, it was more like a butcherer stranded on a meat farm with nothing but a meat saw and an empty stomach. maybe even like one of the villains from his game; the ones with a deep rooted trauma causing an untamable hatred for the player. well, in kenma's case he was the poor player and you were the villain.
it all started in the beginning of the new school year. new faces in a new classroom. usually, kenma never really paid attention to his classmates. sure, he gave them a typical rundown and would decide to judge them based on first impressions for the rest of their lives. then boom, he would eventually forget their names come the second week of school. they didn't talk to him, he didn't talk to them.
that was hard to do when you, a classmate who sat diagonally behind him, would constantly feel stares at the back of his head. one time, he seen the reflection of your murderous gaze in his gaming console and he damn near flinched.
did he accidentally do something to you in the past? he tried to put a name to the girl with (eye color) eyes and (lip color) lips, but nothing was ringing a bell in his head.
because of this, he started to pay more attention to you.
when lunch would roll around, you would become joyful with friends, a rather pretty smile on your face. this was when he heard one of them say your name in a fit of laughter. (name). he repeated a few times in his head. kenma thought it was a nice change of scenery; his heart even skipped a little. and then when you felt eyes on you, turning and making eye contact with the quiet boy in your class, your face dropped.
it looked like a mix of both fear and absolute horror before morphing into a stone faced, angry expression.
yeah, you definitely hated him.
at first, he kept these interactions a secret from kuroo; truly not wanting to become a victim to the already relentless teasing.
until the one day you so happened to take the same train as them. today just had to be different.
kenma was set on ignoring you. he was locked into his video game: a PVP fighting game with unlockable characters and an online ranking system. kuroo usually would have ignored kenma's gaming; it was second nature to him after all. but of course, today was different.
"care to tell me why you're playing an online game with no internet?" kuroo pointed out as he stared at the constant loading circle making zero progress on kenma's screen.
kenma snapped out of whatever trance he was in and looked up at his friend with wide eyes. "...no." kuroo hummed in response, taking a quick look around the train. that is when he seen a sight that he never thought he'd witness. a girl staring at kenma with practical hearts in her eyes.
"kenma.. that girl is totally checking you out."
kenma's face contorted into one of disgust and confusion as he looked in the direction kuroo was only to make eye contact with you.
"kuroo, if that's how girls look at you i think you're never going to get married." kenma quickly shook his head and avoided looking back at you with everything in his body. "what? i know what i'm talking about. listen to me, i'm older and wiser." kuroo smirked arrogantly.
"she is the definition of if looks could kill."
"so you think she's pretty?"
kenma paused, his brain not really processing kuroo's words.
"that's not what i..."
pretty?
he hesitantly glanced at you again. with a closer look, he noticed how you fiddled with your hair when you looked at him. the way brows were furrowed, and the way your leg bounced.
it kinda looked like.. you were nervous?
"...meant?"
by the time he realized how long he was looking at you, his stop was already here, leading to his current predicament of kuroo's constant teasing and shitty advice.

"he.. HE DEFINITELY LIKES ME!"
you screamed into your pillow with a heated face. after rolling around for a few minutes to calm yourself down, you laid on your bed facing your ceiling.
you first noticed kenma during a rather boring lesson. the teacher's voice was draining all your energy, and it was getting harder to keep your eyes open. your eyes found focus on the boy in front of you, who had bleached hair and questionable posture.
he was playing a video game hidden in a book on his desk. you glanced up at the teacher one more time, making sure he was distracted. you watched as the boy played effortlessly through levels of a game you didn't know the name of.
before you knew it.. the school day ended.
it became a ritual for you, staring at his game after lazily taking notes. it came to the point where it felt like you were playing the game yourself. every time he would die and have to restart, you felt the anger and frustration for him.
a character would die? you'd silently weep for the fallen character since it seemed like he didn't give a fuck. and if he did, he wasn't one to show it casually on his face.
the most he ever showed (that you noticed, anyway) were subtle stretches of his legs, a twitch in his finger, and a knuckle pop.
or when he won after a tedious battle a sigh of relief, his shoulders dropping.
so maybe your facial expressions were a bit.. emotional compared to his and definitely not as subtle.
it didn't help that whenever the boy, who's name you learned was kenma, would look at you, your body immediately froze and you tried to get your face as normal looking as possible; not realizing what might've seemed normal to you was terrifying to kenma.
he wouldn't hold eye contact for so long before going back to whatever he was doing, much to your pleasure.
the train ride today was a change in your relationship with kenma.
why didn't he look away like normal?
it was a change yes, but not a bad one.
with delusional friends encouraging the idea, you've come to the conclusion that kenma kozume has a crush on you.
sure, maybe you were exaggerating. but any high school girl would, it's part of growing up! you justified this in your head.
and maybe you weren't too far off from the truth. his sneak glances during the school day allowed him to see the happy expression on your face when he reached an ending of the game. the look of anticipation when he was going through his game library; trying to find a new game to play after beating the last.
one he liked most, though, was the look of shock when he angled his console perfectly out of view from the teacher, but in a position for you to see more clearly.
pls reblog and like if u enjoyed it!
kinda proof read kinda didn't lol sorry 4 any errors

How would you rank Robby, Abbot, Shen, Ellis, Collins and Langdon as mentors based on people with similar personalities from when you worked in the ER??
I've only really worked with people that are a mixture of multiple characters but I'll try to keep it somewhat relevant to both the show and real life. These apply to my own time in the ER, my ranking as overall mentors for the shows characters would be completely different. Lets goooo!
Robby - Dependable, tells you how it is when you need it, guides without overstepping. I haven't worked with many such people but can imagine him being there when you need help and pushing you a little to break you out of the comfort zone. Knows some DIY emergency medicine tricks and has great connections. Solid choice.
Abbott - I've had a few run-ins with people like him. Work themselves to death, chase the high, read until they get top marks (not to win, just to prove a point), live and breathe over-competence and boy will you become that too if you train with them. Will vaguely point to a road on the map and then throw you in the deep end and make you do everything yourself. Great for independence and development, and I learned a lot because I felt I could NOT fall under "being a 110% ready with plans A-Z and backups for each" but they are often too much for themselves. They'll leave you on read or promise the world but not always deliver. Ranked below Robby because of the consistency issue.
Ellis - I'd either be intimidated or friendly with Ellis. Good quizzing, lets students do things, no nonsense. I worked with an Ellis actually. The first thing they said to an intern was "I expect you to have done at the very least x, y and z before you come to me. Otherwise get out of my ER". Respect.
Shen - One of my mentors was a Shen. He'll do whatever you ask. Will help with what you need. He'll take you to cool cases. Works hard and gets first places, but from my experience isn't overly ambitious or particularly chasing the "highs". I often felt weird talking about my future goals because they didn't always take it that seriously and usually encouraged to take the chill route.
Collins - Personally, I learn best when I'm either 1) trying to make a good impression, 2) am (professionally) scared of them or 3) hate them. Collins is knowledgeable, friendly and a good teacher but my style is too different.
Langdon - Encouraging but too relaxed, picks favourites and is too risky playing with the medication doses when it comes to patients. I can't with that. Needs to sort himself out first.

ok I think Iâve played enough of the dlc where I feel like I can talk about it now and lift my spoilers embargo⌠overall I had SO much fun!! thereâs so much to love about it and only a few things I didnât like! more detailed thoughts under the cut:
Gameplay-wise, I thought almost every single boss was fun and rewarding to fight⌠my faves were Divine Beast Dancing Lion (best ost in the entire game by miles), Rellana, and Messmer. I also really loved the exploration?? My favorite kind of games are the ones where you have to sniff out every corner of the map in order to find hidden paths forward⌠the fact that you have to really poke around to find huge areas of the map, and how the traversal is so layered and non-linear, was THRILLING to me!! so much more interesting than the base game!!
Story-wise, what spoke to me the most was everything about the Hornsent⌠Belurat was my first legacy dungeon, and I was so wowed by the gorgeous unique architecture and the sheer desolation of the place that it really stayed with me. Both the environment and the Hornsent NPCs do such a great job of conveying the pain and tragedy of what happened to them, while at the same time, not simplifying them into some kind of faultless utopia⌠their society was proud and harsh and cruel (not just to others, but to their own people), but it was also bursting with art and culture, and it was home to everyday people who made delicious stew for their loved ones:

âScorpion simmered in a black soup. Traditional meal of the hornsent. Once made with love by a certain elderly woman for the family table. Having long gone cold, this soup gives off a rank, sour smell.â
Some of my very favorite NPCS were the Hornsent Grandam and Hornsent (the guy); I thought their quests told such poignant stories about loss and the meaning of justice and revenge (I especially think Hornsentâs quest complements Marikaâs story so well!!). The way they portrayed this civilizationâs downfall was so beautiful and tragic!
Also the fact that the NPCs talk during combat is SO GOOD??? At first I was kind of annoyed that I had to summon Hornsent for Messmerâs boss fight to do his quest, but in the end I was so glad I did because his dialogue during and after the fight is incredible!! plus the NPCs talking to EACH OTHER during the Leda invasions?? and need I mention IGON⌠this is the real best new addition they made to the game
Now for the one big fat thing I didnât likeâŚ.

so I had actually heard about the leaks before playing the game and was like ok. if this is true theyre gonna have to really justify this to me because my initial impression is uhhh. lol??? And now that I can confidently say that Iâve combed the game top to bottom for pieces of this story, I really dont think the game succeeds at justifying Radahnâs appearance?
What I mean by âjustifyâ is that, in my opinion, if youâre gonna bring back a fan-favorite character who was previously dead, and not have it come off as cheap fanservice, it needs to feel like this characterâs presence matters â that they have the necessary buildup, that their appearance has a significant weight to it, and that their screentime fleshes them out as a person in a meaningful way. I donât think the dlc achieves this at all with Radahn. Yes, his appearance is directly foreshadowed if you do Freyja and Ansbachâs quests, but it isnât enough to just state in advance that heâll show up⌠my problem is that, even with these NPCsâ dialogue, Radahn feels like a total non-person. We hear almost nothing about what his thoughts or feelings about this situation mightâve been (just Freyjaâs assertion that he would have approved of âendless war, to invigorate the soulâ). We get plenty of insight into Miquellaâs character because thereâs so much material about him, but there just isnât the same investment into Radahnâs character, which makes his triumphant return fall really flat for me.
I think for me what wouldâve appropriately justified Radahn returning is if Freyja gave us more details about who Radahn was as a commander during the Shattering⌠like, some jumping-off point to really get a sense of what his motivations mightâve been⌠OR, they couldâve even added another Redmane NPC with views on Radahn that conflict with Freyjaâs (there is literally a minor boss, the Red Bear, who was stated to have been a Redmane!!!)⌠whatâs still a mystery is why Malenia tried to kill Radahn, and why he resisted, and the DLC doesnât give us any concrete information about Radahnâs actions or goals during the Shattering that would have caused this. They donât have to spell it out for us!! I just needed SOME attempt to engage with Radahnâs character in the DLC material if theyâre literally gonna bring him back from the dead!! Because as it stands, he shows up and fights us without a word or even an expression, like a glorified action figure!!! itâs LAME!!!!!
totally loved the DLC except for that part. anyway stan Elder Inquisitor Jori

#shadow of the erdtree spoilers#<- still gonna tag spoilers but I donât care about seeing spoiler content myself anymore

Hello itâs me again uwu because I have no sense of boundaries and I love your writing for The Boys â˘ď¸ đđ¤ [sad yeehaw]
can I please request the eungang + ranking union stinkers: how they would act if their crush made the first bold move?
hi!! thank you for the request! it means a lot that you like my writing, i really appreciate it <3
this was really interesting to write, especially for the union boys lol- also, some headcanons are longer than others, just based on how many ideas i had for each character. regardless, hope you enjoy :D
gender neutral as always~
weak hero reactions; you make the first move
eunjang â
gray yeon / yeon sieun
â Sieun had liked you for weeks now. You sat in front of him at cram school, yet he hadn't noticed you until recently when you'd asked him to help with a question you didn't fully understand. The smile you wore made his heart flutter. Since then, he's looked forward to seeing you each day â more eager to attend school than he'd been
â In some ways, Sieun is still reserved, so while he wants to reach out, not knowing if you feel the same holds him back. Unbeknownst to him, you've noticed Sieun, too, much sooner than he did you
â He was smart and cute and you liked that about him, but you were tired of keeping it to yourself. Trying to grab his attention by asking for help wasn't getting you anywhere, either. Now you'd have to take a real initiative
â After cram school, you stop him on his way out the building. "Do you want to study together?" you ask, hoping he'll say yes. It was a simple request, yet subtly Sieun's face lights up. He agrees and you slip him a note with your number on it. The whole way home he smiles, for the first time in a while~
ben park / park humin
â Humin is such an outgoing and confident guy that it's a total suprise if you make the first move- He would absolutely love it, though
â You're part-timing at the pool hall Humin and Hyuntak frequent, and it's obvious from the start that Humin is into you. He'll often throw cheesy compliments your way or watch you work â smiling when he catches your gaze. But, he still won't approach you, no matter how much acknowledge him. You thought it was pretty obvious that you liked him too, yet he kept acting so coy- It was really aggravating you
â The next time he came in, Humin greeted you as usual ("Are you a fart? 'Cause you blew me away~"). You stopped him before he could escape to the pool table, grabbing his wrist gently. "I like you," you say, and it's a relief to get it out. Humin stares at you in shock, though he wasn't oblivious to your crush; hearing it from you was a whole new experience
â You wait for a response and, for a second, you think you got overenthusiastic. But all that fear vanishes with a few simple words from Humin: "Do you know how to play Tekken?"
alex go / go hyuntak
â You went to the same boxing ring as Hyuntak, where you'd initially met. When he first started boxing, Hyuntak struggled more than he'd like to admit; it surprised him to see that you were much stronger despite your appearance
â He was content admiring you from afar, but you're bold and you see potential in him, so your connection starts as small as you showing him how to fix his form and hand placements
â From then, Hyuntak and you start hanging out often so you can give more pointers. Your personalities mesh well, plus he's super cute~ But he's too shy to make a move on you, wanting to be a stronger, cooler Hyuntak first (even though you already think he is-). He won't say it, but he can be pretty insecure at times; he really wants to impress you, regardless of whether he needs to
â During your next boxing session, you're helping him with a move he can't quite perfect. Hyuntak is frustrated and you think he'll give up, but he has you in the corner encouraging him. In a few more tries, he gets it right and you rush over, kissing his cheek before you can even think â "That was amazing! I knew you could do it!"
â He blushes, the tips of his ears a cherry red; your excitement boosts his confidence. While he wished he'd gotten a chance to confess first (and he may still get the chance), it's a relief to know you feel the same~
gerard jin / jin gayool
â Gayool met you at one of Slam's first concerts. You were one of few middle-schoolers in the crowd, so you stood out â especially when you were waving a sparkly fan sign over your head. You were enamored by his voice, having discovered the band when they were just busking. They inspired your love for music, but, more importantly, your crush on Jin Gayool
â You spoke a few times after shows, mostly interview them for your blog. Gayool liked your charm, however, and found himself drawn to you. Many of the girls at Slam's shows were older women who'd stalk him out of the building, or ask to take him home; though you were a fan, you were normal in comparison, and treated the members as people â not objects
â Still, approaching you was difficult. You live in a different town, so it's not as easy as running into you on the street; and Hyeonjin doesn't give him much room to socialize before or after concerts (your interviews the only exception). Gayool's stuck on what to do- But you want him too, and aren't letting it go. The next time they perform, you have a sign with you, as usual. Instead of your normal encouraging words, however, the sign says something a lot bolder: Jin Gayool, will you go out with me?
â When Gayool sees it, he stops singing, eyes wide in shock â the good kind, of course. Some of the aunties in the crowd glare at you, and you consider putting the sign away before you regret it; besides, Gayool couldn't exactly say 'yes' mid-performance without it causing a scene. But any concern you have about his feelings washes away when he begins to speak: "This next song is dedicated to someone very special~"
union â
jimmy bae / bae jihoon
â You and Jihoon knew each other since middle school, having followed him to Yoosun as well. Though you wouldn't say you were the closest, you considered him a friend. Often, you'd hang out with him and Jeongyeon or bum cigs off Jihoon between classes; you'd buy extra snacks at the convenience store to share with him, so your relationship was mutually beneficial
â Still, you always felt like you wanted more. Jihoon was rough, yes, but with you the wall he'd put up came down, just a bit. He would tease you, but it was different to how he'd tease Jeongyeon, as though he were cautious of your feelings (though Jihoon has never been one to care for them before). Still, Jihoon is too busy with his own melodrama that he doesn't think he can pursue you â at least not in his current state
â However, you've devised a plan. The three of you had plans to see a movie together, but Jeongyeon has "mysteriously" gotten sick. So now it's just you and Jihoon, side-by-side in the theater, watching some sleazy horror movie that you're regretting buying a ticket for
â Afterwards, Jihoon walks you home. "He's not actually sick, is he?" Jihoon asks, and you pause, embarrassed that he caught your lie. You shake your head, but this is your chance and you can't waste it. "I wanted to be alone with you," you explain, and he cocks his head in confusion. "Bae Jihoon, I really like you."
â Jihoon is taken by surprise, but a feeling of excitement bubbles within him. He won't say it back, yet, but the smile he wears the rest of the night is all you need to see~
jake ji / ji hakho
â You and Hakho met at an anime con. You had a small Two Piece cosplay account, and he was a bit starstruck to see you running a booth at the convention selling fan zines
â Hakho bought one, immediately falling in love with your creativity. He reached out to your account to lend his praises, and it wasnât long before a friendship sparked between you two. Not only were you the same age, with similar interests, you shared Hakhoâs sense of humor. Plus, you were very attractive (of course)~
â It was easy for him to fall in love, but the Union always seemed to get in the way. Hakho didn't want to burden you with his life, because you were the most peaceful and constant part of it; despite this, you'd fallen just as hard for him
â The two of you were binge-watching Two Piece, bowls of popcorn and sweets scattered on the couch beside you, and a few bottles of soju you'd stolen from your mom's closet. The sun had long since gone down, and you could feel your eyes grow heavy with sleep. Hakho shifts beside you, preparing to leave, but you grab his shirt to stop him
â "Please stay," you beg, "just a little longer." There's a sparkle in your eyes that makes it hard to say no, so he doesn't, even when you doze off on his shoulder, drunkenly whispering a confession against his skin. You'd forget it in the morning, but Hakho would hold onto that memory forever~
wolf keum / keum seongje
â Seongje was interested in you from the start. You'd met through your childhood friend, Hwangmo. You were wary of Seongje at first, as you hadn't heard much good about him. His personality was brash and wild â even his smile sent a shiver down your spine. But it intrigued you, just as your quiet demeanor intrigued him, too
â He was in your class, though you never spoke to him when Hwangmo wasn't there. You were smart, often getting top scores in the class; not only that, but you were kind, always offering help to others. Many people liked you, and that popularity made you stand out more to Seongje, as most popular people he knew used that power as a weapon, unlike you, who used it to lift up those around you
â Maybe your humility was why he fell for you. And he was everything you weren't (bold, honest, and exciting), so you felt drawn to him, too. However, Seongje is romantically inept, so he doesn't know how to confess. Plus, he thinks you might be too good for him, and that leaves him hesitant; what if you truly change him? Or hold him back from his duties as Ganghak's leader?
â After class, Seongje is assigned to cleaning duties with you. The light hits your face just right and he finds himself mesmerized, not realizing he's staring until you flash him a smile. "For a Union leader, you're pretty weak around me," you tease, and his ears redden, trying to shake off the remark. "You're seeing things," he shoots back
â "Maybe. Or maybe I like you, too," you say, and Seongje really turns red. You exchange numbers on the walk to your bus stop; it's a strange feeling, but Seongje is hopeful to see what being with you does for him
forrest lee / lee sehan
â Though he's a Union leader and can be as much of a dick as the rest of them, Sehan (when it comes to romance) is a man of tradition who was raised to be gentlemanly- So when you made the move on him? It threw him for a loop
â He'd been crushing on you for ages. You're working part-time at the convenience store he frequents, so you two often chat during your breaktime. Though it was small talk, he'd look forward to it every day and visit you even if he didn't have money for snacks
â While Sehan wants to confess, or get your number at least, he struggles- Partly because he's worried about you getting too close to the Union, and partly because of his own insecurity. Talking with you was easy when you made him feel so normal, even in the short moments you shared, so he grew afraid to ruin your friendship if you didn't feel the same
â Still, it's worth a shot! During one of your meetings, he plans to get your number â key word: plans. Before he knows it, you're asking him on a date-
â Sehan's pretty flustered, as he was hoping to ask you first, but seeing the gleam in your eye makes up for it. After stumbling over his words, face totally flushed, he gives you his number and the two of you make plans to catch a movie that weekend, Sehan blushing the rest of his walk home~
donald na / na baekjin
â To Baekjin, you're something of an enigma. Not many people got as close to him as you were, and yet, without him realizing, you'd gone from being someone who he caught glances with in halls and the library, to a constant figure in his life
â It's easy for him to fall for you. You're funny and easygoing, but reliable; even though you knew about his role in the Union, you never saw him as a villain or someone to fear. It was strange to him initially, because Baekjin was so comfortable holding power over those under him, yet you acted as though you were already his equal
â Even so, he couldn't tell you about his feelings â until it was the right time, at least. Between school, the Union and business affairs, he never had time for crushes before, and he wouldn't let himself falter now. The Union needed a strong leader, not someone who could surrender to love so carelessly
â When you burst into Baekjin's office and blurt out a confession, however, his composure slips- It's bold in a way he's not accustomed to, but he can't stop thinking about how cute you are, tumbling out every emotion you'd been holding onto between a few deep breaths. Honestly, he can't say no â nor does he really want to
â Baekjin stops you with a hand on yours, looking at you with the softest smile. He wonders if he'll regret it someday, when the Union inevitably falls and all he has left is you; but a simple life may be what he needs, more than omnipotence and riches. "Don't worry, Y/N. I like you, too~"

Callimachus of Cyrene
Callimachus of Cyrene (l. c. 310-c. 240 BCE) was a poet and scholar associated with the Library of Alexandria and best known for his Pinakes ("Tablets"), a bibliographic catalog of Greek literature, his poetry, and his literary aesthetic which rejected the epic in favor of shorter works and influenced the later development of Roman literature.
He is considered one of the greatest poets of antiquity, and, through his influence on Roman writers, set the course for Western literary development, especially through his emphasis on brevity and simplicity of form. Among his best-known quotes is "A big book is a big bore," by which he seems to have meant that "less is more" and one should strive to tell one's story as directly and succinctly as possible. Although much has been made of his rejection of Homer, it seems this has been sensationalized. He rejected the standard of literature Homer had come to define but not necessarily the work itself. A similar case could be made for his relationship with the works of Plato, but both authors clearly influenced his own works.
He was never the head of the Library at Alexandria, though this is often claimed, but he may have been the teacher of Apollonius of Rhodes (l. 3rd century BCE), the head librarian after Zenodotus (l. 3rd century BCE) the first librarian at Alexandria. The alleged feud between Callimachus and Apollonius seems to have also been sensationalized and is based on interpretations of fragments of their works as almost nothing is known of the lives of either of them. Apollonius was succeeded as librarian by Eratosthenes (l. c. 276-195 BCE), who may have also been a student of Callimachus.
Although few of his works have survived, he is referenced extensively by later writers who praise his economy of prose and emphasis on an emotional response to personal experience in his poetry. His influence on later writers was enormous, including such notables as Horace, Propertius, Ovid, and Virgil. The details and essential character of his literary aesthetic are still debated today, but not its influence on Western literature.
Family & Early Life
Almost nothing is known of Callimachus' life and most biographical information comes from the Suda (10th century CE), not from his works or those of his contemporaries. He was born to an upper-class family of Cyrene in North Africa and refers to himself as a "son of Battus", meaning Battus I (r. c. 631 to c. 599 BCE), founder of the city of Cyrene and the Battiad Dynasty that developed the surrounding region of Cyrenaica. Callimachus most likely means this reference simply to establish that he is from Cyrene, it does not necessarily mean, as some have claimed, that he was related to the royal house. Scholars Benjamin Acosta-Hughes and Susan A. Stephens give a brief glimpse of his family:
His grandfather, also named Callimachus, was probably the Cyrenean general. Callimachus' sister, Megatima, seems to have married into a high-ranking Cypriot family. A great-grandfather has been identified as Anniceris, a Cyrenean, who, according to an anecdote preserved in Lucian and Aelian, tried to impress Plato by driving his chariot (bound for the Olympic Games) around the periphery of the Academy. Anniceris must have been a man of considerable wealth because he was also said to have ransomed Plato from Dionysius of Syracuse. (4)
Little else is known of Callimachus' early life except that his mother was also named Megatima, he seems to have been educated in Cyrene, and he was living and writing in Alexandria under the reign of Ptolemy II Philadelphus (282-246 BCE). Acosta-Hughes and Stephens write:
Callimachus lived the majority of his adulthood during the reign of the second Ptolemy, the period when the Ptolemaic empire was at its height. The Suda tells us that he was an elementary schoolmaster in Eleusis, but if he is already writing for the court in the late 280's BC, his academic career must have been quite brief. In contrast, Tzetzes records that he was a "youth of the court", an official status that is incompatible with elementary school teaching but would fit with a poetic career that seems to have begun in his early twenties. The easiest explanation for the Suda's information is that it was extrapolated from poems in which Callimachus speaks of the schoolroom or schoolmasters. (3)
As a "youth of the court" and later court poet, Callimachus wrote works for Ptolemy I Soter (r. 323-282 BCE), Ptolemy II, and Ptolemy III Euergetes (r. 246-222 BCE). He most likely arrived in Alexandria from Cyrene toward the end of the reign of Ptolemy I. Although it seems he was associated with the Library of Alexandria under Ptolemy II, his position is unclear. He was never the head librarian, and there is no evidence he was involved in acquisitions.

my ranking of the seven deadly sins' designs in terms of personal preference. WARNING: I am not nice to Asmodeus or Beelzebub. All simps and stans have been warned. đ
1. Leviathan (Envy)
Rating: 8/10
I feel like the hate for her is kind of unfair, considering she's the first character we've gotten (or at least the first I've seen) that has two heads and despite being a conjoined demon she's quite cohesive while outlining the differences between her halves. I understand finding her design underwhelming, but before her there was Lucifer (who has the most basic design of them all) and then Beelzebub (whose only interesting feature are her lava bits) so I'm not sure why people are harsh on her like she's the first underwhelming one.
Anyway, I gave Levi an 8/10 because for the sins I don't typically like to fully judge until their demonic form is shown as well. I also feel like it would have been nice to see her be a bit bigger in her base form- not to the extent of Satan's size, but maybe a bit larger than Asmodeus or Mammon.
2. Satan (Wrath)
Rating: 10/10
Dare I say, this portrayal of Satan is kind of iconic. You can see the similarities between him and imp-kind, but he's not designed to just look like a giant imp (which is what most media does if it's not making him a sexy red human with horns). His size is what I'd expect it to be- really, it's nice to see a Sin that actually cares to stand out from its denizens in some way. Him basically being a giant dragon was a good choice.
Despite his rating being higher than Leviathan's, I didn't list him as first because I like looking at Leviathan more.
3. Belphegor (Sloth)
Rating: 4/10
I didn't really pay much attention to her when she was on screen, but her little details stood out to me. She only gets four points though, because not only was I unable to get a look at her full design but what I gauged from her outfit wasn't very impressive. Also, I'm not really that attached to the concept of her character. None of the sins really have roles except to maintain order within their rings I guess, but seemingly all Belphegor does is sleep.
Still, her unique details and coloring does count for something.
4. Mammon (Greed)
Rating: "eh."
Mammon goes right in the middle because I feel completely neutral on him. I know what the general consensus on his design is- too green, too patterned. But I personally can't really think of anything I'd change about him. Even knowing what a letdown his demon form is, it doesn't really impact meâ I guess because by the time we got to his demon form being revealed, I was already desensitized.
5. Asmodeus (Lust)
Rating: 2/10
Definitely one of the most annoying designs in the show. I started skipping most of his scenes in S2 because I hate looking at him and his ugly-ass suits that do absolutely nothing for his figure. And as for the matter of his figure, he's just a big, disproportionately buff guy who was given the prototype design for Stolas' head. If Asmodeus wasn't built like a bird on steroids I'd probably like him better.
6. Beelzebub (Gluttony)
Rating: 3/10
Her design has some things I likeâ namely her ears and the lava hair (when it's under the lighting depicted). The problem is, it just doesn't give 'sin'. She fits in with her subjects too much (and no, I don't think that applies to Leviathan on the same scale).
Her outfits are really bad too. I mean, I get her basic outfit- she's a party girl- but it's basically Loona's regular outfit. She couldn't have had something a little more glam-rave? And the outfit she wore in 'Mastermind' is so random- it feels like she brought it at the last minute from a costume store, not like it's something she'd keep in her wardrobe.
The other issues with Beelzebub, from her not really embodying her sin (her and Mammon should have swapped) to her whole design feeling like another way to snub fat people out of the Vivzieverse (yes I know not all fat people are gluttonous and that gluttony doesn't just refer to food, but it's just so convenient that the embodiment of gluttony- whose whole thing is food- has a lava stomach and can't gain weight) make it really hard to like her overall.
7. Lucifer (Pride)
Rating: 1/10
He's just a disappointment. His outfit fits the circus theme Vivienne was going for, but it's negated by literally no one else in the show following that theme except Beelzebub and her crappy court costume. And personally? I would have made him look a little less angelic considering his current status, but I don't know enough about fallen angel lore (both irl and in the show) to debate if him looking so non-demonic makes sense or not.
The only reason he gets a single point is because he's still better than the absolute worst design in the show, which to me is Loona's demon form. Whoever cleared that needs to be banned from making executive decisions in this show.

Hey Zepskies! I'm a small writer but I'm starting on my ficlet about an oc x ben (soldier boy). I've read so much of your work and just think you are a very talented writer. Do you have any tips on writing ben? it can be vague and I know you're busy so I don't expect a response. :)
Hey there!
First off, welcome and thank you for reading my stories (and for that lovely compliment). đ
As for your question, writing Soldier Boy (Ben) can be very tricky. It took me a while to fully figure out how to write the character, and I will say, it's a challenge every time I do dive back into this (loveable) asshole.
đ That said, here are 3 main tips I have for writing his character:
1. Comparable archetypes:
When I started trying to do a character analysis of this guy, I started with who he would've likely looked up to and tried to emulate: Frank Sinatra, Humphrey Bogart, Cary Grant, John Wayne, Indiana Jones, John Winchester, and even Dean Winchester to an extent -- the strong, stoic, man of action archetype.
AKA: The Big Swinging Dickâ˘ď¸ in the Room.
These men are leaders, a "man's man," show no pain, weakness, or vulnerability. (So shove those "soft" emotions down your gullet as much as humanly possible. Real men don't cry, amirite? đ)
But the fun thing I find about guys like this is, even though they have a hard shell, being able to pierce the armor somehow and get to the creamy center of their heart can be a very rewarding story indeed.
2. The balance of SB's personality:
Based on what we got in season 3 of The Boys, I find that Soldier Boy's personality is a delicate balance of a few key things:
Arrogant Narcissist: He's a massive ego, selfish with a conflated sense of his own importance. Especially before his capture, he's reached the pinnacle of fame. He's bought into his own hype and the backstory Vought created for him, and he assumes that everyone in his life loves him for it.
As Jensen said of his character in Supes Ain't Always Heroes (check out my review of the book here if you like):
âHeâs so fragile and his ego is fragile. Just like Homelander. These bigger-than-life powerful heroes really have a glass jaw⌠âAnd everyone walks on eggshells around him [Soldier Boy], and they tell him that they love him, and itâs the same with Homelander. Then when all of a sudden he faces his old team and Crimson Countess says we never loved you, we hated youâthatâs a gut punch for him. Because even though on some level he may have known that, he never thought he would hear it. âAnd he probably propped himself up around trying to believe otherwise, because how can you walk around knowing everyone youâve ever cared about hates you? Itâs too painful.â (191)
Womanizing Misogynist: That entire scene with SB and Grace in Nicaragua tells you all you need to know about how Soldier Boy talks to, treats, and views women. đ Again, he's a narcissist, so he assumes women are going to be into him because he's the world's biggest superhero, because he's handsome, because he's that guy.
The problem is, he is devastatingly handsome and impressive as a superhero. And my headcanon is he can be very charming when he wants to be. Again, using his skills as an actor and channelling that old-world debonair charm to get what he wants. (i.e. Cary Grant, etc.)
Violent and Indifferent to Collateral Damage: This is a key one, because this is part of what makes him different from Homelander. SB is not a psychopath. He doesn't necessarily enjoy hurting people. He just doesn't care about the collateral damage.
He also can't tolerate a perceived slight to his masculinity or status, like when Black Noir tried to rise up in the ranks and come into his own as a movie star. Soldier Boy, in his selfishness, saw that as Noir trying to come for his crown, in a sense, which is why he ultimately showed his mean streak through violence.
When he gets back to the U.S. after escaping Russia, he's on a warpath of vengeance against his team who sold him out, and anyone who gets in his way.
"If they have it coming," he tells Hughie.
3. Soldier Boy is both less and more than what he represents: (AKA: His insecurities)
As we know, Soldier Boy didn't really storm Normandy or fight the Nazis. He falls short of every definition of a hero. However, he's also not just a caricature of toxic masculinity.
Ben has deep-seated insecurities that he buries under all the bravado and the Soldier Boy persona. He was also emotionally abused by his father, who set exacting standards for what it meant to be a man.
It drives Ben to try and prove his worth to his father, though heâs never able to. It fosters the lack of self-worth he feels as he seeks validation through fame and what he believes power to be.
He wonât be one to easily admit heâs wrong, or need help, or express emotions he deems are âsoft.â He doesnât want to look weak or demean himself, let alone be genuinely vulnerable, despite likely wanting that connection with someone.
He uses coping mechanisms like drugs to mask and dull his PTSD, but even in his heyday, I think he drugs and parties hard just to pass the time, and to mask how actually empty he is inside. He has no real love in his life, and no family. It's why he admits to Hughie that he wanted kids. Deep down, he wants a family to fill that void that fame, booze, drugs, and meaningless sex can't fill in his life.
So with all of that flawed, internal mess that is Soldier Boy, the biggest challenge I find as a romance writer is trying to keep all of these aspects of his character, while trying to show the glimmers of the humanity in Ben -- the chink in his armor showing just enough softness to the one person who's brave enough to "try" with him.
That said, I hope all of this helps! đ

Hello, I really liked your analysis of Wolf Keum, especially the parallels between Wolf and Gray. Do you think if circumstances were different, say if they went to the same school or if they had met before, they could have become friends? Maybe similar or to the same extent as Gray and Stephen were close? Sorry for my bad english, its not my first language :p
Hi Anon, sorry for not responding to this sooner! I've been super busy with irl and stuff. But tysm for sending me an ask, I love to ramble about my interests. Here's my thoughts:
Okay so. Honestly? I think it could depend on how you headcanon middle school Wolf. Based on the tiny snippets we see of him in canon, we kind of get this mixed image where he's still unhinged enough to be getting into fights and allegedly tormenting Grape, but as many have pointed out, he's also weirdly not on anyone's radar up until High school. He's introduced as a "Dark Horse"â someone who rose up the ranks quickly and unexpectedly.
Another thing worth pointing out is his appearance: but specifically how it reads to other characters in-universe. Phillip Kim (iirc) refers to him as a "Four-eyed normie" in the chapter where he's having a flashback to first meeting Wolf, so basically with his short purple hair and glasses he absolutely looked like a huge dork and probably attracted opportunistic bullies all the time. Which contributes to the idea that middle school Wolf was more of a "loser" than a "king".
He also gets very sensitive about people stealing and messing with his belongings (see: the whole Union Thief debacle) and if you go back to reread his whole monologue while he's beating up Rowan and Eugene, it sounds like something he's used to experiencing in the past. Getting his stuff stolen or messed with, and then the culprit lying about it and pretending to be innocent.
This made me think about Eugene's own experience with bullies: getting his math textbook stolen, his glasses smeared, etc. by that Eunjang student who wanted to buddy up with Gray. When Eugene tried to confront the guy about it, he just shrugged it off, or even just straight-up pretended he didn't do anything at all. You could clearly see how being on the receiving end of this kind of harassment could quickly become something of a pet peeve; combined with Wolf's unexpected rise to power, it ended up translating to spinning a misunderstanding completely out of proportion.
So this is all to say that I think "loser"-era Wolf could absolutely be friends with Gray, albeit I still get the impression that Wolf would have been the type to get angry and be prideful even before he had the strength to do anything about it. And I think both Wolf and Gray aren't the type to be outwardly social, so their friendship would probably start off with some kind of altercation, before smoothing out once they find somewhere to meet in the middle.
However, I think their relationship would be of a different nature than what Stephan was to Gray, because Wolf and Stephan are fundamentally different types of people. Stephan volunteers at the local soup kitchen after school, Wolf is chain smoking cigarettes under the bleachers. And I think Stephan's optimism and compassion was something that really resonated with Grayâ who might have been the type to just stay in his little studying bubble if it weren't for Stephan inspiring him to stand up before injustices.
In contrast to that, I think Wolf would have brought out Gray's "mamba" side much earlier, had they met in middle school. They would have become "beating up bullies in the parking lot" kind of buddies. This may even result in a completely different High School era Grayâ still studying-obsessed, but far less concerned with the ethics of beating other people up. But, I think as much as Wolf might draw out Gray's dormant "mamba", I think exposure to Gray might encourage Wolf to use his head more oftenâ there's no way Gray could successfully turn Wolf Fucking Keum into a good student, but I do think there would be gentle nagging to "do your homework, Wolf, or I won't help you next time you start a fight with Sam Lee in public".
In conclusion: Wolf would make Gray slightly worse, and Gray would make Wolf slightly better, and they'd meet in the middle somewhere and become the most terrifying friendship in Yeongdeungpo.
