You know that feeling?..

Being so overwhelmed with thoughts and emotions concerning a specific fandom or a performer you are hyperfixated at at this particular time, you cannot seem to find a free minute to devote yourself to random everyday life and tasks. Feeling wholly incapable of disconnecting yourself from the imaginary world you have gotten caught in. Experiencing a raw desire, as if bursting out of your chest, to express your love or admiration or interest or whatever your hyperfixation generates within you, in any possible way - though eventually finding no adequate outlet and ending up semi-paralysed on the couch or floor, replaying or rereading again and again the same sequence and phrase and episode, trying to suck in as much of it as you can.

This feeling of drowning in an irrational emotional concoction and yearning for more of what you love, despite realising that you cannot possibly just break out of the framework and make your imagination real. It's like a bittersweet punch to the gut. Like a sip of a drink which is supposed to get you going but only glues you to the chair. A shoe that hurts but looks so attractive on your foot... Like a person so pretty you feel like crying. Like a pain in the chest you fear to let go so you won't feel empty. A debilitating obsession you do not want to end. It's falling in love, but of the ridiculous kind, which later will seem incomprehensible to yourself, but still be remembered fondly, unless you choose to deny your very self.

Not easy, being a fan, it seems.

A big question...

Is it a karen personality if they started to poke you hard in the head with their finger in rage, when you didn't mean to hit their table with a beverage in a jug (accidentally hooked on a back pack) they're selling which is placed at a narrow side walk, but actually saved it from spilling and falling and apologised for it in a calm and polite way? Asking for a friend.
