yk what for season 4 being the covid season of 911 I feel like it doesn’t impact the storyline like other shows had with their covid seasons like yes covid is mentioned throughout the season and we see all the characters with their face masks while on calls or even when getting home and even when it comes to maddie giving birth and how maddie and chimney had to talk about their birth plan and how that might change with adjusting it accordingly to the guidelines of the hospital, but the season flows and still manages to be compelling all the way through and we still get those impactful episodes like the shooting arc and the buck begins episode and we get silly episodes like jinx, so I think 911 is one of the only shows I think that managed to not fall apart during their covid season and still keep the heart of what the show is about at the end

Actually one of my favorite things about fma/b will always be that you get all of these short jokes thrown at Edward and it could have just been that that’s it: he’s just short for some reason (because he doesn’t drink his milk)

But then Arakawa went “No no, Ed is short because actually he’s been feeding his own nutrients to his brother’s body (which has been in limbo & chilling with god this entire time btw), and as soon as that connection begins to waver he does actually end up growing quite a bit still, until he’s taller than Winry.” and she just expected me to feel normal about that

Something I really like about Leo’s joking ways is that while his verbal humor (mainly his puns) doesn’t tend to get much positive reception, his physical humor (such as the slapstick for Sprite or that moment during their fashion montage where he makes all of his brothers laugh) tends to go over much better. Idk it’s such a small thing that’s barely there but it gives me a big “actions speak louder than words” vibe that Leo really encapsulates.

There’s just something about how by the end for Arthur to play the role he needed to play , be the once and future king who would unite Albion and rule justly, he had to learn to be gentle to be softer and kinder and more compassionate .

And he had to learn it from Merlin . The person who in order to become Arthur’s protector had to learn to be Ruthless . He had to be cold blooded , merciless and vicious to keep Arthur safe .

thinking about ava’s desperate “beatrice get away from me!” when she can’t even stand on her own, when she’s hurt and bleeding out, and scared. about “i told you not to follow me” and how part of her fears for beatrice’s life, in that final moment of danger, certainly ; but also ava knows she won’t survive this last fight, and though she can’t prevent her death, she tries, until the very end, to protect bea. she doesn’t want beatrice to watch her die.

Does anyone else think it’s fascinating how nicknames develop? Like sometimes a nickname is a logical shortening of a name, sometimes it’s a different part of their name, like a last name or a middle name, and sometimes it’s completely random, manifesting out of a series of twisting inside jokes and memories that is impossible to explain and you’re just like, “Oh yeah, that’s our friend, The Ball, don’t mind him.”

sometimes i just sit and laugh to myself at the irony of the fact my first ever fictional crush when i was little was luke smith from the sarah jane adventures

I don't know if someone already said something about this, but now that we know for sure that Armand messed with Louis and Daniels's memories, I am thinking about the "odyssey of recollection" scene... how Daniel was remembering things incorrectly, like the car seat that wasn't mandatory, the Buick that he never owned. I mean, it's normal to forget or misplace memories, I would understand if it happened only to the car seat. But a whole car he never owned? It's very suspicious.

The whole scene was about Louis and Daniel misremembering things: the wolverine blues, the car seat, the car. It was also about the stark difference between Louis retelling and the story he told on the tapes.

Knowing what we know now, and seeing how the writing in this show is amazing, I am feeling that we are going to revisit this scene in the future. If Devil's Minion happened, maybe the memory that Daniel recalled on the book was altered by Armand in some way. Maybe he's Derek, the guy Daniel doesn't know. Or maybe he was part of that memory in some other way. But see how this happened years after San Francisco? Daniel already had a daughter. Maybe both of them, even.

So now the scene is about two men whose memories were deeply altered. Not only about misremembering, but actively having those memories manipulated.
