In defense of Jason Grace
I have seen many people through the years say they hate Jason, that Jason is their least favourite character in the series, etc. and all of their reasoning is because he's 'boring'. I admit, when I first read those books, I was feeling the same way. I wasn't the biggest Jason fan and I didn't think I would be. I even judged my friends for liking him, when there were other 'obvious' choices for favourite characters. Now, years later, I'm no longer 12 reading those books for the first time and I see Jason in a completely different perspective I would like to share.
Jason Grace was a child without childhood. He was taken from his family at two years old and taken to the Wold House, where he couldn't show weakness because then he would be seen as food - you cannot show weakness when you're being trained by Lupa. Which immediately strikes us with a, frankly horrifying, thought - Jason's first memories won't be of his mother, who wasn't the greatest parent anyway, or his sister Thalia, who loved him so much. It would be of what he was taught in a life-or-death situation, that you cannot show weakness. That's important to remember for later.
Jason also has had to carry an incredibly heavy burden since he first joined Camp Jupiter - he's the son of Jupiter, the King of the Gods. We have experienced first-hand what it felt like for Percy to have to go through being a child of the Big Three, but please keep in mind that when that happened, Percy was already 12 and he was a child of Poseidon. I'm not trying to say one of them had it harder than the other, because context is very important, but simply putting things into a perspective - Jason, a child who can't remember his family is put on a pedestal because of who his father is, with expectations being placed upon him immediately, as a, presumably, young child who has just been taught that life is either be strong or die.
And then, despite all of that, he decides that he will join the Fifth Cohort because he wants to write his own destiny, and because he wants to restore their honour. He's not only going against what others would expect from him, including his father, but he's also claiming a goal others perceive as impossible just to prove a point. Not a very boring thing to do, is it?
To continue adding to the list of things that Jason has done to prove that he isn't the prince-like, spoiled boring white guy some people in the fandom see him as, I want to talk more about the things Jason cannonically does at Camp Jupiter. He becomes friends with the 'least popular kids' because everyone else expects they would have to treat him like royalty, he goes on small quests that don't mean much because he doesn't want to be that hero and savior that's expected of him. He follows rules as to not appear spoiled, and even with his rule-following he appears to be 'unconventional' by Roman standards. He's the son of Jupiter, who's doing everything in his power to not conform.
And despite all that, he still manages to use his status to do what he thinks is right. Despite his efforts, he still ends up being the undoubted leader while everyone else is a follower. He listens to all sides, he tries to mediate to the best of his abilities. In his attempts to make everyone else an equal, he puts himself above them and makes them look at him for mediation and decision-making. For the twelve years he spends at Camp, he has eyes constantly on him, judging him, expecting things from him.
Now remember when I said that Jason tried to go to meaningless quests? Yeah, you can guess that didn't really work for him. Canonically, he has gone to many quests, including some that had been appointed to him by gods, such as Bacchus, so he was fairly unsuccessful there as well. And remember when I said that he was raised by a wolf to not show any weakness? I feel like at this point it should be pretty clear he internalized that, a lot.
I get why the debate 'who's stronger, Jason or Percy' happens in the fandom, but it doesn't mean it annoys me any less. Because most of the time, the only arguments are pointing out Percy's strengths and we're forgetting that Jason does some pretty incredible things as well. Jason, like Percy, also fought a Titan single-handedly, and won. What we know from canon about it, it's that he did it with sword-fighting and, interestingly, hand-to-hand combat, which is what the books mainly focus on when talking about his feat. Jason went up against a Titan and smacked him with his bare hands enough times that he won. And in the entire fight, Jason using his powers is not mentioned once. Which is a pretty constant thing, if I might add, but I'll delve into that more later.
Again, a common mischaracterization I see in the fandom is that Jason is this strictly rule-following, rigid, stick-in-his-ass guy, when he really isn't. One of the main things about him is that he's too relaxed for Camp Jupiter. After the war, when he tried to change things about Camp, he was unsuccessful because Camp Jupiter is too traditional and Jason's ideas weren't conforming to that.
And of course, it was Jason who welcomed the two kids of Pluto (Hades for Nico but you get my point) to Camp. I feel like it should be pretty clear to you why at this point, but let me repeat - Jason knows the pressures of being a child of The Big Three, and Jason isn't afraid to be friends with the 'not cool' kids, with the people who are looked at as weird or that are treated as outcasts. He does some of it out of spite, yes, but he was what, fourteen? Thirteen? At the time. That level of emotional maturity for a barely teenager is surprising as is.
Also, can we note that Hazel describes Jason as closed-off, hard to read and 'more of a legend than a man'. This thirteen/fourteen year old? This should be enough to tell you how Jason was treated and raised and why he is the way he is. 'Boring', because this child needs to be an example for an entire camp that has placed him in that position he didn't want in the first place but felt guilty and responsible to take. When Percy was thirteen-fourteen, he was being an ass to Tyson (which he later regrets, yes) and fights with Thalia (which they stop doing, yes) and Camp Half-Blood still sees him as more of an annoyance than a hero at that point. That doesn't change for Percy until The Battle of the Labyrinth. Jason never had that. He was spotlight leader from the second he was at camp.
He also didn't have an Annabeth and Grover, at least that we're explicidly told about, and his closest person was Reyna, who also had a crush on him, so who was Jason's platonic best friend in Camp that he could rely on for anything? We don't know. Maybe because he didn't have one? I'm just putting that idea out there.
Now, I will try to be more brief on Jason in the series, but with the speed with which we're going, that is kind of unlikely. First and foremost, Jason is an amnesiac who never gets his memories fully back. I want to focus so much of your attention on this. Jason wakes up and he doesn't remember, excuse my swearing, jack shit. He doesn't know who he is, what's his favourite colour, what music he likes, nothing. Nada. He is then told, again, he's the son of Zeus, he is sent on a quest with people who don't actually know him but have expectations for him, while he still doesn't remember anything. He is also fifteen. He is a child that people are judging for being 'too boring' of a character. Well excuse him for not having any memories so he can have a proper personality!
Excuse me, I'm getting a bit heated here. I feel I'm making valid points though. Because Jason's story keeps repeating - he goes to Camp, people start looking at him like he might become the new Percy or some variation of that, he has these friends with false memories of him, he is also trying to save the world in the meantime. I'm very sorry he doesn't have time to figure out his personality in the meantime.
This is what I think is the most tragic about Jason's character - he doesn't have the time to figure out who he is truly is because he's too busy helping everyone else, even if what he's helping with is stopping the end of the world. He is a hero of the Great Prophecy, which again links with his destiny and how there's no escaping it and he, again, doesn't have any choice in what happens. He was unconventional for Camp Jupiter because of his disregard for tradition, but he's not fully accepted in Camp Half-Blood either because he's still a Roman demigod.
And then the Burning Maze happens and we don't talk about it because Uncle Rick hates us. I refuse to read that book because if I don't, then Jason is happy and alive.
We should note, though, that Jason and Piper have broken up. And I believe the only reason they ever dated was because Piper had that expectation of Jason, and we've already established how he was raised. He is a people-pleaser because that's what he's had to be for his entire life. He can't disappoint people, because then he would feel guilty, and so I believe he gaslit himself into thinking he liked Piper romantically because otherwise he would have to hurt her. And I do believe Leo and Piper are the first real friends Jason has made, at least those who see him as truly human, and so he didn't want to lose Piper. So, he made her and himself believe he liked her and started dating her. I think he would've done the same with Reyna if he'd remained in Camp Jupiter, for the same reasons - expectations. He also has raging abandonment issues, so. Double fuck there.
In summary, because of his personality and parentage, Jason has never had the choice to put himself first. He hates the framework in which he's put by being the son of Jupiter, but he swallows that for the sake of others.
Well that was quite the rant. I have more to say, but this is already too long. After this post, I have become a Jason Grace stan. If, one day, he has no fans, it's because I have died. Jason Grace is my son and he's very much alive, thank you (not you, Rick Riordan. I don't thank you). Anyway, please like this post? I would super appreciate it. I would also love a discussion! - mia

mother mother — the sticks
turns out illustrating songs is the most fun thing to do like. ever. my three fnv protags vs little snippets from their past: old world blues starring andy ramirez, honest hearts starring ovidio ramirez, and last but not the least, oscar ramirez, in the act of procrastinating the main storyline. some ramblings under the cut:
the girl from the last one is summer, she's oscar's ex\partner in crime. i'll introduce her properly later also. drawing badass/serious art with ovidio is so weird cuz the sims completely ruined mine and my friends' perception of him. i made a werewolf bite him (i was curious and have never tried werewolves out in the sims 4 before) plus i play with wickedwhims on so..... yeah. he acted fucking FERAL. the only normal thing he did was a game of chess with arcade. he was such an insufferable household bully, like he literally snarled at people 24/7, scratched all the furniture all the time (and this household's dirt poor, they never had money to fix it lol), he could go hunting and then come back with random raw meat in his inventory, he banged people in public restrooms and was overall a mean, horny, horrible mess. eventually i made a PRISON for him 💀💀💀 it was a dark, almost empty room in the basement in which i put him during his transformations and then temporarily locked the door for him so he couldn't get out. so yeah, drawing his imprisoned younger version for this piece was a journey. you go to jail sir. bye

oh also with companiondroids!! how do a lot of them feel about what theyre made for? how does it work-- is there a set script and programming, or are they more the "well this is my job, i dont have to do it, i was just made for it" type? are all of them sentient/sapient like eddie? just curious because i love android concepts a LOT and love seeing people's takes on them
General idea with the CompanDroid sentience was that Ramirez Robotics made their ability to learn and form their own thoughts a little too realistic. Put in more human terms, there’s a balance of nature and nurture for them- They were made to be caretakers and domestic servants, so they all carry that base programming with themselves, but are all sentient and have their own personalities, especially now, being over 80 years after they were first manufactured (Eddie is of the oldest at 83 years old, 13th off the assembly line)
There are a lot of ways it went when the CompanDroids started realizing their lot in life, stuff that I’m not super interested in going into, considering the topic of a humanoid android race gaining sentience + rights has been done to death in sci-fi, and I don’t want to touch close to any David Cage-esque hamfisted metaphors, but if you know sci-fi, you get the idea. Issues with CompanDroid independence did cause Ramirez Robotics to go under after about 20 years of CDroid manufacturing (~60 years before present time)
Eddie himself was already on the streets before he could start having his existential crisis- the affair with his owner was discovered by her husband
They tend to stay towards social/domestic roles in society- nannies, teachers, sex workers, house keepers, social workers, diplomats, lawyers, a gentleman thief…- anywhere where charisma, household skills, or knowledge of human behavior can come in handy,

"From this point on, your problems are my problems."
Marguerite "Maggie" Ramirez is a girl who doesn't know when to say enough's enough. She sees an issue, and she rises to tackle it, whether it's an extra task for a school project, another part time job, or filing taxes for her entire household. While generally friendly enough, she's constantly overworked and it reflects in her attitude. After a couple of less-than-supportive girlfriends she's ready to abandon the idea of a relationship forever - at the ripe old age of 16.
She's willing to do anything - anything - to protect and support her family...
...even if it means putting her own safety at risk.

A gym in Tracey, California, was the site of a shocking scene on December 1st, 2008. As the regular customers arrived, their workout routines were interrupted by the sudden crash of the front doors. A young boy, clad in nothing but grey boxers and a chain around his ankle, stumbled in. He appeared to be in a state of extreme emaciation, his skin caked with blood and grime. With a wild look in his eyes, he implored those present to hide him. The boy, who was identified as 16-year-old Kyle Ramirez, stood at a mere 5 feet 8 inches, weighing a paltry 100 pounds.
At the age of eight, Kyle's biological mother abandoned him, leaving him in the care of Caren Ramirez, a family friend. CPS granted Ramirez custody based solely on a handwritten note from the mother, without conducting the required investigation. Over the years, CPS received numerous reports of abuse and neglect, but Kyle remained in Ramirez's custody, with his physical state deteriorating rapidly. Bruises, patches of missing hair, and extreme emaciation were frequent occurrences.
Kyle's brother was placed in protective custody in 2005 and told CPS about Kyle's abuse, but he would not be removed from the household until 2007. A few months later, Caren coerced Kyle into running away from protective custody and returning to her. This marked a significant escalation in the abuse he suffered.
For 18 months, Ramirez, along with three friends, Anthony Waiters, Michael Schumacher, and Kelly Lau, subjected Kyle to a relentless torrent of brutality. Belts, hammers, and baseball bats were used to strike him, while knives were used to cut and stab him. The wounds were then doused in bleach. Kyle was made to sleep with a chain around his leg, and he was burned with a red-hot metal bat. Despite his disappearance from protective custody, CPS never reported him missing.
Kyle lived in a constant state of terror, fearing that his abusers would kill him and dismember his body. He knew he had to escape, and one morning he managed to coerce Michael's two-year-old son to hand him the key to his chain. With the chain removed, he fled to the backyard and leaped over the fence with the aid of a trampoline.
In the end, justice was served, as Carmen, Kelly, and Michael received 30-year sentences after taking plea bargains. Anthony, on the other hand, pleaded not guilty and received a life sentence.

'Echoes of Honor' --A Review
Tumblr media
Hey, remember when I reviewed In Enemy Hands and said that Honor Among Enemies felt a lot like a bridge novel to something else in the series? Well In Enemy Hands was definitely that, but Echoes of Honor dials everything up to eleven. Don't get me wrong: all of the books in the series have been good. I would genuinely say that it's a series that gets better the deeper you get into it, but Echoes of Honor is the absolute pinnacle of this series so far. (New prediction for those keeping scores at home: In Enemy Hands, Echoes of Honor, and Ashes of Victory are going to be the best three-book arc in this series.)
Echoes of Honor starts, shockingly, with footage of Honor's execution being broadcast on galactic newsfeeds. Witnessed by Honor's parents on Grayson, it leaves the Star Kingdom of Manticore with a grim determination to avenge her and sends Grayson into an absolute fury. Funerals are held on both planets and an empty coffin is interred in the Royal Cathedral. The first part of the book deals with the immediate fallout of Honor's purported death. Her parents mourn along with her household staff on Grayson- including her faithful steward, Mac. The question of succession to her steading is a tricky one, but ultimately, her parents- who had always planned on having more children, eventually- because, thanks to the genetic prolong treatments, they could- decide to have them-- but only after some contemplation of their own.
What no one knows- but the reader does- is that Honor is very much alive and well and on the Prison Planet Hades and starts formulating plans with her crew to find some allies and get off the planet.
Behind enemy lines, we see Esther McQueen continue to build her power structure as Haven deals with the fallout of Cordelia Ransom's death and the explosion of the Tepes-- believed also to have killed Honor and the rest of the prisoners. Esther is formulating a plan to hit Manticoran Alliance hard and in places they're not expecting and wants the help of Admirals Theisman, Tourville and Giscard to help her-- all three Admirals that had fallen out of favor with the Ministry of State Security, formerly headed by Ransom. She gets the Admirals that she wants-- and we find out some interesting things: Tourville and Foraker have kept silent on the footage on her console that seemed to indicate that someone could have survived the explosion of the Tepes. Giscard is having an affair with his People's Commissioner, Eloise Prichard. But nevertheless: the Peep Offensive pushes forward.
On Hades, Honor has found some allies-- including what might be my favorite callback to earlier books, the father, presumed dead of Tomas Ramirez. (I wish I could remember which book, but Tomas is a Marine, from San Martin and hates the Peeps. His Dad Jesus is pretty much the same, but older and really hates the Peeps.) They put together a plan to take over the main command and control center of the prison planet and set about figuring out what to do next. The Prisoners-- many of whom have been on Hades for decades want some measure of accountability against their jailers- for obvious reasons, but Honor is not interested in vigilante justice. She wants them to be put on trial-- but there's a hitch: she puts them on trial using Peep Laws, because she doesn't want to hand State Security a potential propaganda victory. She also has to figure out how to acquire shipping to get nearly half a million prisoners off the planet and home, a job made that much harder by the start of the Peep Offensive, entangling Alliance forces in a frantic defense and making it highly unlikely they would be able to send assistance to evacuate everyone.
Hey, do you remember Alice Truman? (She's one of the characters that sort of wanders in and out of these books, the same way Michelle Henke does.) She's been 'up to something' and what that something is sure seems like an aircraft carrier in space, except instead of fighter jets, she's stocked with LACs and when things kick off on the military front, they kick ass. (Also, White Haven, still riddled with guilt, is hounding his superiors to get his fleet fully put together so he can do something with it and when things kick off for him, he sends the whole damn fleet on a two-jump, incredibly risky, insane amount of tonnage hyperspace hop through to Manticore (from Grayson) and then onto Basilisk. Also very badass, even if it doesn't prevent the Allies from taking heavy losses in the system.)
Honor and company, having concluded that they're on their own start acquiring ships bit by bit, and eventually their luck appears to run out as the disappearances start to be noted and a sizable force concludes that something has gone badly wrong in Hades and sends forces enough to put down any potential takeover. Honor being Honor lures them into a trap, gets all the ships she needs, and with her 'Elysian Space Navy' heads back home to inform a stunned White Haven and the rest of the Alliance that reports of her death, were, in fact, exaggerated.
Overall: I love how this book is structured-- we go from non-Hades (Peep, Manticore, Grayson, points between) to Hades sections alternating throughout and it just works. The whole story takes place over the course of two years, which feels about right to me-- it's time enough for news of Honor's death to get out, for people closest to her to mourn and start to move on, but also gives her and her crew enough time to find allies, make plans, take over and do what they need to do. The timeline is just right. The structure is perfect.
I get that you're always going to see Honor Harrington front and center in these books- it is, after all, kind of her series. But these books also become exponentially more interesting to me when Weber pulls his focus out just a bit wider and we see more of the Honorverse at large. I like exploring the political tensions in the Alliance. I like seeing the Graysons muddle through what to do about her steading. I like that we get to see more of her parents than we've ever seen before. It makes the universe deeper, richer, the stakes higher and more meaningful.
I've often thought that naming her Honor was just a bit too on the nose, but you know what? I don't care. She's awesome. She brings people up and doesn't tear them down. I don't think she'd like the notion that she inspires devotion and loyalty amongst the people that follow her and I think she would be the first to tell you that 'there's no I in team' and that's probably what I find most compelling about the character. She doesn't make it all about herself, in fact you could argue that her character flaw is a tendency to go hard in the opposite direction, even past the point of what seems reasonable and achievable, but she always seems to get there in the end.
Best book of the series so far, hands down. Can't wait for the next volume. My Grade: **** out of ****

Looking at this picture, and thinking about how all my Sim kids love to bring Tessa Ramirez home from school, makes me think I really should play her household. I'll have to figure out where to put it in the rotation, so it'll be a while.

While the Oldies aren't rich, they're well-off enough to please the headmaster. (This one is Vince.)
Tumblr media
Coral's roast chicken pleases him too.
Ted: "Wow mister, you're scarfing that up like the engine of an airplane."
Headmaster: "Mmph yep!"
Coral isn't about to tell him how easy it is to make. (Check out Marcella Hazan's recipe.)

That's it for the Oldie family this winter.

SNIPPET - CHERRY
Wowowow it's been a hot minute since I've been around but I'm still working in the background on a few exciting things! Thank you to the lovely @haztobegood @kingsofeverything @ladyaj-13 @larry-hiatus who are still amazingly tagging me in things even though I virtually disappeared 🙈 love yoooou I am lazy and need breakfast soon so I will just tag you all back and my darling @justanothershadeofblue 💙 It was a mix of 2x last line, 1x WIP Wednesday, and 1x Snippet tags so here I am posting a decent chunk of this new little fic that my brain is running away with (8k in 2 days!) It is inspired by another work I read that will be linked once I post it fully! This is OT4 Poly A/B/O, then Louis comes along and makes it OT5 ;) ... The new man tilted his head in confusion. “Whatever Niall said to offend, you’ll have to excuse him, he’s run a little far on his leash.” Niall. The name stood out the second time, but Louis was too caught up with second-hand indignation to collect it. “He doesn’t need a fucking leash,” Louis growled. He fucking hated obnoxious alphas who said shit like that about their omegas, as though they were no better than a household dog. Niall put a hand on the other man’s chest, keeping him in place. “Louis’s quite right. If anyone was going to be collared it’d be you, Hazza.” “Coop to Tommo. Status unregistered. Two minutes until extraction will be initiated.” Louis's earpiece buzzed. Louis bit his knuckle before he could curse out loud. He’d nearly forgotten he was still on the job, here for surveillance that he was no doubt sufficiently failing at since he hadn’t seen Blight or Ramirez for far too long, not to mention he was about to epically destroy the whole night. If the extraction team had to come in, this whole location would be burned and labelled too risky to return to. Buh-bye to any hope for Louis’s career, as pitiful as it was. He probably couldn’t even return to records after a fuck up that big, especially if it cost them the case.

I ALWAYS COME BACK CHAPTER 9
Gregory jerked out of bed, sweat running down his entire body as he gasped for air. He felt relieved. It had only been a nightmare. He ran a hand through his hair as he let out a small exhale. It had only been a nightmare.
His phone buzzed, and he picked it up to see who texted him, and to also check the time since he didn't have an alarm clock anymore (he could thank Cassie for that).
The message was from Cassie. 'You aren't bunking school today Greg. I'm coming over in ten minutes.' The message had been sent half an hour ago.
'I'm so dead aren't I?'
"GREGORY RAMIREZ!"
'Yup.. I'm dead..'
The door burst open, Cassie walked in, hands on her hip, Vanessa close behind. "I tried to calm her down-" "NOPE." Cassie moved over to him and grabbed his hand in an attempt to drag him off the bed. "I'm done seeing you mope. Done I say! You and I are leaving the house today, and that's final." "I'm not going to school today." "Today is Sunday doofus." "Well, I refuse to leave the house!" "I'm not giving you a choice in the matter!"
Cassie yanked his arm and sent the two of them tumbling to the floor, Cassie on the bottom and Gregory on top. The brunette blushed visibly, giving him a wide-eyed look, while Gregory was sure his face most definitely resembled a tomato. His heart was pounding in his chest, he could feel Cassie's breath on his face and her lips were so close he just wanted to kiss it oh lord-
"So like, when's the wedding?" Gregory was sure he was going to go-kart Roxy in the face for Christmas this year. He groaned quietly and got off of the girl, who was fiddling with her brown hair.
He looked at the doorway where Vanessa, Freddy, and Roxy were laughing, Ness and Freddy had the decency to hide their faces at least, Roxy lacked that entirely.
"We're going out to the zoo." Cassie suddenly declared. "We're going out to the zoo. Period." "Cassie seriously-" "NOPE. WE'RE GOING. PERIOD." "So it's a date?" Roxy asked from the doorway. Cassie simply hid her face and left the room, closely followed by a giggling Roxxanne Wolf.
"Yeah, it's a date," Vanessa said smugly. "Something you'll never get unless you pluck up some damn courage Mom." Luis had never ended up coming the day Cassie came over, Vanessa had canceled the meet-up with him and had never called him back since.
Vanessa flushed as well, before leaving the room with Freddy, leaving a very flustered Gregory behind.
~
"Gregory, come on. She's been waiting for an hour! Certainly picking an outfit can't be that hard?" "How would you know?! You've never been on a date!"
Roxy snickered from outside his bedroom door. "Two comments on Vanessa's dating life, back to back? Someone's in a bad mood."
Gregory wondered which go-kart would be the most optimum choice to break Roxy's face.
"Ugh! Greg, just hurry up!" Vanessa called out, groaning at his indecisiveness. He sighed and looked at the shirts he had laid out, it seemed like he had every color of the rainbow, except purple. (Vanessa had banned purple from this household).
Eventually, he chose a light blue shirt with some dark jeans, paired with a similarly colored jacket. It seemed casual for a trip to the zoo.
Finally, after brushing out his hair, he left the bedroom and went downstairs. Cassie was waiting in the living room, listening to something Freddy was explaining, (who knows, maybe he's explaining to her about fountains).
When she saw him, Cassie stood up and grabbed his arm. "Come on! Let's go!" "Wait! I didn't eat anything-" "We'll eat breakfast outside! Now let's go."
The door shut with a loud BANG.
-
They had stopped at a burger store, after debating for twenty minutes on where to go. They had seen a pizza parlor, but both of them agreed that that was the last place they wanted to go.
Cassie had got some money from her parents to buy some food for herself and Gregory, and so they sat down on a bench together and ate peacefully.
"I've got the whole day planned out. We're going to spend some time at the zoo, and then go to the store to get groceries on Vanessa's request, and then come back home and do homework, because I know you have a lot of backlog." Cassie rambled after finishing her food and tossing the container in a bin.
"When you're sure you're going to die sometime soon, the last thing you have on your mind is homework, Cassie."
"We aren't going to die! We'll find a way out. I'm sure." Cassie stated firmly, before getting up and pulling Gregory up with her.
"Come on. Let's go." "But I haven't finished eating!" "The walk to the zoo will take us fifteen minutes you can eat on the way Greg."

(I'm back from my Hiatus! There will be weekly updates of this story, and the next one will be from Cassie's POV!)

I've been enjoying playing my maxis uberhood recently. I made quite a few premades into townies or just am choosing not to play some households except to age sims up manually every now and then, as it's overwhelming enough as it is! It's maybe 36 households currently I think, so it's taken ages to play 11 days each!
Anyway, I thought it would be fun to list the babies born so far, and the ones due in the next round:
Born so far: Pascal Curious & Alien = Qi Curious Samantha & Peter Ottomas = Leah Ottomas Brandi & Skip Broke = Betty Broke Jenny & PT Smith = Joseph Smith Ana & Ramir Patel = Uma Patel Dina & Mortimer Goth (was Caliente) = Yuri Goth Wanda & Stephen Tinker = Aria Tinker Sophia & Marcel Jocque = Blue & Blanche Jocque (twins) Circe & Loki Beaker = Cassiphone Beaker Vidcund Curious & Alien = Dag Curious Pascal & Nervous Curious (was Subject) = Enya Curious Lisa & Checo Ramirez = Fabio Ramirez Jennifer & John Burb = Grace Burb Rose & Jason Greenman = Hibiscus Greenman Ana & Ramir Patel = Inaya Patel Kaylynn Langerak & Daniel Pleasant = Jared Pleasant
And currently pregnant: Cassandra & Darren Dreamer (was Goth) Titania & Oberon Summerdream Circe & Loki Beaker Albany Capp & Alien (twins) Lisa & Checo Ramirez Opal & Edward Contrary Armand & Samantha DeBateau (was Cordial) Chastity Gere & Gabriel Green Bianca Monty & Vidcund Curious (twins)
I'm really looking forward to seeing all these kids grow into teens and start running around hanging out, and seeing their genetics play out! I'll post an update once I've got a bunch of born in-game children, so we can see how they look a bit better than the usually-bizarre toddler stage.
