MY FAVORITE GUY!!!!

Considering how honored, how revered Captain Garazeb Orrelios was in the eyes of his people, so much so that both Gron and Chava the Wise (probably the Lasat’s head priestess or something), it was kinda unbelievable that Zeb simply… forgot about what he was.

He even forgot about Gron, who proudly went on to declare that he served under him.

Zeb did not simply forget because “it was so long ago”.

He forgot because he wanted to forget.

The fall of Lasan was not just traumatic, it was a great shame for him personally. He lost respect of himself, and he tried erasing nearly everything about himself from his mind.

At a young (for a Lasat) age, he had been tasked with the utmost responsibility.

Then things happened. The Empire came calling. There was really nothing Zeb could do that day, as Ezra had said.

But the loss of the planet, of the Lasat Royal Family, of his people… Zeb felt that he had failed everyone.

Zeb had a survivor’s guilt, but more than that, he had felt personally responsible for the others death.

He reverted to a juvenile. He reverted into a young(-er) Lasat: brash, impolite, not taking things too seriously, and lashing out at everyone.

He tried erasing himself. Never telling anyone who he really was. Becoming a no one. ‘Just’ a Lasat soldier.

He nearly succeeded. Well, he succeeded, actually. For years he was ‘just a Lasat’. Lashing out to the Empire just like how a normal grunt would, with guns and fists.

Not how a commanding officer, a tactical genius (face it, to become a CAPTAIN OF THE GUARDS at such an early – for Lasat – age? He was a genius)… a leader of an army.

That’s what made his transformation so stark, so powerful, so… amazing.

BEHOLD

Zeb suddenly reassuming his commanding officer stature:

Look at how he took his bo-rifle from Ezra’s hands. Not as a grunt would do it, but with respect afforded to anyone under his command, and with respect for the weapon itself:

He stood a bit more upright, and the regal air around him – what we can only imagine how he was when he was still the CAPTAIN of the Lasan HIGH Honor Guard – is now very palpable:

He exuded charisma, he exuded command, he became in control… the Ghost crew was struck by the change in his demeanor, his bearing:

BEHOLD

CAPTAIN GARAZEB ORRELIOS

Fully in control, fully in command, acting as what his destiny was, a protector, a leader:

AND HE DID IT!

HE FOUND LIRA SAN, THE LASAT’S ORIGINAL HOME, THE SAFE PLACE FOR HIS PEOPLE.

HE BROUGHT THEM HOME.

And his destiny will be to bring others home:

Look how regal he had become. He had passed his own valley of despair.

This below is a very touching frame. Zeb in front, the leader, the commanding officer. And his supports – his found family, and his people who never lost faith in him – surround him.

(This is hypothetical, not sure if Lucky would feel relieved or scared by the fact that this other participant would want to attend this game show)

I said on twitter that I was gonna make a comic about the au for kicks and giggles. also because i wanna like,, get better at making comics in general for a much bigger project i am working on!!!

Eepytale is a slice of life utdr au where frisk, chara, asriel and kris live together as siblings, having playdates with dess and noelle and helping out people around town with their issues! just a very lighthearted and silly au :3! idk I'm having a lot of fun making this comic actually i hope u guys enjoy it teehee :33
