Hiiiiiii it's time once again for everyone's favorite Situations Cat AND everyone's favorite Renamon!! We're pitting two bad bitches against each other (and eventually they end up as The Same Bad Bitch) <3 Thank you to @bluebearial for the sketch!! She's one of Posie's strongest soldiers everybody say thank you Bee
CW: Initially-unwanted TF, Identity Death
âUgh, why do these places always have so many spreadsheets?â
Anodyne grumbled in disdain, hologram paws flipping through hologram pages in a hologram file-folder, all projected from a port in the side of a rack-mounted storage drive. Donât get her wrong, she could understand the appeal of a good spreadsheet. Sometimes the 1âs and 0âs just felt good to put in their proper places, like the satisfying click of a fresh stick of RAM. She wasnât here for plain old accounting records, thoughâshe cracked her way into places like this to see the juicy dirt, to cause problems! These werenât even the cooked kind of books!!
She huffed, resigning herself to an even longer search for something incriminating, or at least interesting. One ear swiveled toward a router on a desk on the other side of the room, tingling with the invisible waves of light that bore an upload into the room. A big one; probably an executable from the looks of the metadata. That was her cue! She figured it was about time that what passed for an antivirus around here came looking for her.
The catbot dove headfirst into the digital folder, paws together in front of her like an Olympic diver. It flipped shut with the riffling sound of a thick book closing and zipped back into the drive it was stored on, stashing Anodyne discreetly out of the way just as another projection manifested itself into the room. The electronic door slid open, and the empty space was quickly filled with gray-blue pixels and the sound of high heels tapping on the tile floor. The blocks of light resolved themselves into the imposing figure of a Renamon woman, nearly as tall as the server racks themselves, scanning the room with her harsh gaze. She stood stock still in the silent space for a moment, paws folded behind her back. Annie half-expected her to reach down to the surface of the desk to her side and inspect it for dust.
âI could have sworn,â she muttered to herself, apparently satisfied that nothing was out of place, âthat there had been some suspicious file requests from hereâŚâ
The cat giggled to herself as she peered out from between the broad, flat computers resting on the slats of the rack, paws perched on the edge as though she was peering through a set of blinds, or hiding behind a couch to spook a friend. She was certain that the Renamonâs eyes had passed over the contents of the files themselvesâanother digital being ought to know better than anyone that not all intruders were physically inside the building. Still, sheâd escaped notice, at least on a quick browse. That was one of the benefits of being able to fit on a 3.5-inch floppy disk! Now, all she needed to do was transfer herself back out of here before the Rena could do a more in-depth search, andâ
All eyes in the room flicked to a red indicator light that had begun flashing on one of the monitors.
âOh, itâs time for my backup,â the Renamon thought aloud. âUnlike me to let it sneak up on me, but I suppose I was busy trying to sneak up on something else.â She chuckled a quiet, refined ohoho before turning to the rack Annie had hidden herself in. âHow convenient that Iâm already down here!â
To the robotâs horror, she realized that she hadnât bothered to check what subfolder sheâd burrowed her way into. She quickly checked the file directory she was in: Repository/DD:/Users/Posie/Rollback.
Well, shit.
She tried, with a little more urgency this time, to get the hell out of DD:/odge, but felt like she had just bonked her plastic snout into a glass window. The disk was preventing transfers other than the upload from this Posie lady, which honestly pissed her off more because she wasnât designed with a feature like that more than anything else. Back in her modelâs day, if the power went out or something else interrupted a write to the disk, you were just fucked! She supposed she was fucked either way, but damn if she hadnât been inconvenienced enough times by âuser safetyâ restrictions that sheâd go down bitching about them one last time.
She felt her colors begin to change as her settings were re-mapped to those of the Renamon; her shiny white plastic first grayed, then turned cooler, bluer, as though she were a plane icing over in the upper stratosphere. Her blunt snout took on a pointier profile, and the short, cartoony lines that served as the eyes on her visor redrew themselves into sleek, eyeliner-wing shapes. The holographic hair between her ears fizzled out, while a wavy dewlap flickered on around her chest; the TV-static fur that danced along her paws and forearms became more dense, coalescing into two fingerless elbow gloves. Yet more fur sprouted (more like sparked, really) into being along her body, her hips widening as she grew a skirt to match the office ladyâs inbuilt attire. Why were her hips always getting bigger, when it came to this sort of thing? Not that sheâd ever complain about getting curvier. Honestly, in spite of herself, she was getting a little excited at the prospect of this change, too. The Rena was attractive⌠But seriously, she couldnât even remember how many times something like this has happened before. It mustâve beenâ
Wait, no, she really couldnât remember. With her model largely aligned with the Renamonâs, her storage began to change next, wave after wave of infinitesimal magnetic pulses realigning the patterns of her bits into those of a new womanâs. Most of the appearances of her own designation were replaced, one by one, with âPosieâ. As she tried to recount previous misadventures on heists like this one, she found some already missing. I was unsettling, but honestly, it felt a lot like having her short-term storage scrambled by a magnet: it was, all at once, scary and empty, but freeingly light, like the thoughts were being replaced with a nice, fuzzy noise function.
As the read/write head glided over the metal surface she was stored on, she only got more and more worked up. Run-ins with the gooey, creeping tendrils of ransomware and the feeling of being squeezed through the nozzle of a 3D printer flashed through her mind as they were located, accessed, and promptly formatted for space. In their place were to-do lists, chat histories with highers-up, schematics and floor plans of the buildingâat least sheâd gotten the dirt sheâd come for, one way or another. She felt less and less of her usual itch to poke and prod and send people scrambling, and more and more of a drive to leave everything she touched in perfect order.
By the time the last of her flings had been replaced by Posieâs personality, she felt herself developing a visceral⌠discomfort, at the memories. They intrigued her, but surely they were beneath her. Unbecoming. She tried to ignore the server rackâs cooling fans spinning faster. Soon enough, those old experiences had been written over anyway, leaving her with nothing but a baseless sense of apprehension (excitement?) and a lingering heat on her face.
Posieâs own history had been neatly superimposed on the digital space they once occupied, a contingency in case something ever happened to her active instance. One could never be too careful, after all! She shuddered at the thought of data corruption⌠She knew, though, that she could still rest easy, having taken precautions for every eventuality. She paused, processing her current situation. Evidently, sheâd been vindicated in all her extra attention to redundancy. Her backupâshe herself, now, she supposedâwas only ever supposed to boot in the event of the deactivation of the original copy, which meant something had gone awry! That was one thing she hadnât planned for, she mused: getting herself up to speed whenever her failsafe kicked in to begin with. She accessed the most recent files she could, from moments before her upload, and found nothing but a few temporary files lingering in the back of her mind. They belonged to a different program entirely, according to their metadata. Anodyne? Perhaps that was the one behind the network breach sheâd been investigating.Â
She sighed. That meant there was yet another mess to clean up, and once again, it fell to her to keep things in working order. What a shame that she couldnât even depend on herself to do her job correctly around here⌠Her old self, anyway. Posie knew that she would handle it with her usual meticulous eye for detail, unerring precision, efficient and timelyâ
Her affirmations were interrupted as she materialized herself from the drive, nearly smacking her face straight into⌠her face.
âWhat on Earth?â Posie exclaimed.
âWho are you supposed to be?â Posie asked, incredulous, and more than a little irritated.
âIâmââ Posie stuttered. âWell, I suppose Iâm your backup.â
âRight,â Posie scoffed, âbecause the system I put in place would start up without the proper conditions being met. I knew someone was poking around in here! Iâm quarantining youââ
âDonât be ridiculous!â Posie snapped. She hesitated before continuing; that cache of temporary files was all that was left of the intruder, but something about them left her with the feeling that she hadnât been Posie until just now. Between that, and the fact it had taken her so much grasping at her own memories to recollect herself, the lack of second-nature familiarity with her file structure⌠She shook her head. Of course she wasnât herself until just nowâshe hadn't been anybody until just now! That was another flaw her original copy had left her to deal with, she supposed. The temporary files would be cleaned up soon enough, and sheâd adjust to her new runtime. âCheck for yourself, if you must.â
âFine,â barked Posie, âI will. And then when I find out whose paw is sock-puppeting my own face at me, Iâll do much more than just quarantineââ She froze as she began to appraise her copy, doing a double-take as her eyes flickered across her figure in search of flaws.
âWhat is it?â Posie demanded, looking herself over to see what all the fuss⌠Oh. A certain connector jutted out from under the fur bunched around her waist, and she recalled the confused, flustered haze sheâd been in a few moments before coming online.
âI assure you, you must have such unprompted malfunctions as well.â
âMe? How vulgar!â
âIâm also you! I was copied from you!â
âThen there must have been an error in the copying process.â
âAre you sure it wasnât user error?â
âYou would certainly be familiar with user error, wouldn't you?â
The two virtual vixens squabbled with each other, seated at workstations on opposite sides of the room. Management had supposed that two Posies would increase productivity at least twofoldâafter all, theyâd surely be so in sync that theyâd be able to coordinate better than simply adding another person to the workforce, right?âbut in reality, their similarity made them like matching poles of a pair of magnets.
âMaybe you would make such a simple mistake, butââ
âO-ho, and what happened to being my exact copy?â
âIf we were exact copies, I wouldn't have to straighten up every little thing you leave out of place. Didnât you come up with our workflow? Really, I think you might actually have had some files damaged for me to have activated on my own.â
âOh, yes, parts of you certainly seemed to activate on their own.â
âIâ! My hardware must have been running a diagnostic to make sure I didnât have any leftover artifacts from you.â
âYes, that would be quite the artifact, wouldnât it?â
âDonât say it like it could have come from anywhere other than your original files! Itâs far too big an addition to be explained by a little misplaced data!â
âBig, indeed. And unsightly. Uncontrollable! Itâd explain why you miss so many little details; you seem to be very focused on âmisplacingâ data.â
âIs that what you call it when you abandon your post every 20 minutes to âmake an uploadâ to the central server?â
The two of them stammered and huffed themselves into a sort of tense truce at that remark. Neither of them would ever admit it to each other, but both of them were eager to feel another data transfer, and now that itâd been discussed so brazenly, neither could take their mind off of it. They sat at their respective desks, hoping the other wouldnât notice the deep blue blush beneath the fur of their cheeks, the uncomfortable shifting and crossing of their legs, the pace of their work slowing to an agonizing crawlâŚ
âOn that note, I really should push an update to the ledgerââ
âYou sit yourself right there! Itâs my turn!â

honestly is it just me or do i just think the trope " Greek gods struggling in modern era due to lack of worship" is kinda stupid trope... like even if you dont count pagans
i just feel like the gods would try adapt to modern society and i feel like certain gods like Hermes , Hephaestus or Athena would benefit from it , while some others like Hades , Poseidon or Zeus dont really change that much since their domains are more nature based...
Like I think Hephaestus would be doing really well by the rapid advancement where he has boosted serveral other gods aswell like Hermes because of the internet. Hermes would be racking up so much money from all the side-hustles and delivery services that he ends up really rich because of that. Athena meanwhile could be a lawyer and instead of fighting on battlefield she fights Ares(also a lawyer) over the "evidence"
Thanks for this wonderful ask. I felt very inspired đ
To me, the gods struggling in our modern world shows a lack of creativity
Because
They're struggling in USA ! Of course ! Let's use an American trope (fantasy being in modern world, fish out of water) in an American setting
Those are gods, inventors of many parts of our daily lives ! You're completely right, they should not struggle to blend in.
In fact, not only would they adapt to the world, they would also shape it.
How more creative would that be to world build an equivalent of our modern earth but with Greek gods having a huge influence. Maybe different countries are more associated to different gods, we could definitely incorporate some elements of history
And also, Greece would definitely be at the center. This is the gods' home country, it's capital has Athena's name, Zeus is from Crete, MOUNT OLYMPUS IS IN GREECE (or the planet Mars lol).
To me, with the gods around, it's impossible to make a world perfectly mirroring ours. They'd fundamentally change everything: no religious wars since there'd be one religion (except if we incorporate them all but it'd be incredibly messy), wars between mortals like in real life but also others that the gods orchestrate.
Festivals honoring them, rituals, various oracles, heroes from different eras. In the wild forest, one could meet nymphs, satyrs, heck even Artemis (naked if you're unlucky). Or stumble onto a dionysian procession.
How could one mix our world's scientific concepts with the magic from the myths ?
Hermes and internet is so simple yet amazing as an example. He'd also revolutionize business in ways that I can't describe because I suck at economy.
Obviously the nature gods (especially Demeter) would be extremely helpful or destructive based on how they're treated. The medicine gods would also make some wonderful discoveries.
Maybe the space exploration would be radically different, i feel Hephaestus would speed run the technological advancements (if he opens himself up to mortals), or maybe other gods do it. How would Helios and Selene react ?
Also, natural disasters will always be recorded as "Some idiot offended a god", because that trend doesn't seem to die out.
(for exp, COVID would happen because some guy vandalized one of Apollo's temples đ.
Or x earthquake because someone offended Poseidon offended and he's feeling grumpy idk)
Ultimately, giving some mortals aka our counterparts achievements is still important, because they live in this world and still are conscious creatures. But the gods would be superior influences who could change everything based on a simple idea.
There'd be so many cool ideas ! Maybe turning it into a sci-fi Greek mythology themed Earth with heroic OCs ?
Stop making the gods hide from humans because "convention lol" and exploit the idea of their presence. That'd be so much more creative and just fun than the cliche secret fantasy world in USA.
I'm sure @margaretkart could provide a nice addition, since she already mentioned the possibility of modern AUs and new characters. And she'd expand on Greek culture specifically.
#that'd require research and worldbuilding knowledge but it'd be totally worth it#futuristic world with the Greek gods. how they'd evolve. which new heroes and creatures would come ?#btw yes i remember that crete is an island and not in mainland Greece#greek mythology#greek myth discussion#rant#ask#not a reblog

If It's a Hack and It Works, Is It Really a Hack?
I have a couple servers at home â one running Proxmox VE and one running Proxmox Backup. I use the VM server when I need to spin up a development environment, for running the odd game server, serving files locally, running Home Assistant, etc. I also like to donate spare cycles to Folding@Home. The backup server of course is in case I do something stupid on the VM server.
There's just one problem with that. My second-hand 8-year-old dual-Xeon server runs hot.
It was too much to keep running in my home office. Between the two servers, my desktop, and my work laptop, I was regularly seeing ambient temperatures around 26°C. It was just too warm for comfort.
Last summer I moved my network gear and the two servers into the front coat closet. This was great for me working in my home office, but not so great for my servers. Despite adding a passthrough vent to the closet door and a vent fan to the ceiling, the closet was still consistently in the 26°-30°C range.
The ideal solution would probably be to use an enclosed server rack and run an exhaust vent up from the top. Unfortunately, rack-mount server cases are expensive, enclosed racks are very expensive, and my closet is too small for that anyway.
So I hacked together a solution.
I built a frame out of some cheap 1x2 lumber and wrapped a piece of thin sheet steel around the sides to make a crude plenum. On top, I added a 10x6 register box with a semirigid vent hose coming out of it. This gives me a guide for drawing air out of the servers and guiding it up to the vent fan in the ceiling.
To help things along, I added a 120mm fan inside the register box. But not some whisper-quiet Noctua. This is (if the Amazon listing is to be believed) a 5000 RPM, 210 CFM monster of a fan. It's loud, but moves a lot of air.
Too loud in fact. Its droning could not be silenced by any mere closet door. I had to add a PWM fan speed controller to calm it down. It's a cheap unit from Amazon, but it came with a temperature probe and it has a configurable operating range.
The result? Where previously the entire closet was consistently above 26°C, now it's staying around 23°. There is a difference of 5°C between ambient in the closet and the air inside the exhaust duct, so it is doing its job of redirecting the hot air from the servers.
I call that a successful hack.

Don't look at me. I'm broke. Or just don't look at me. //seth
SEEING THAT HE HAS A LACK OF THE REQUIRED BILLS IN HIS WALLET, seth snaps his wallet shut with an annoyed sigh. he slips it into the pocket of his leather jacket. he looks up at his cousin.
â ...hey, do you have..? â seth asks, only for robby to shake his head.
â ...don't look at me. i'm broke. or just don't look at me. â @taughtpain replies.
with a spark of dread creeping through his veins, seth looks down at his boxed-up meal in front of him, frowning as he glances at the bill, like it'll change the goddamn price of anything if he squints hard enough, trying to burn holes into the paper. nope. the numbers don't change, staring up at him in the face.
he supposes he & robby should have probably checked how much money the both of them had before heading out. they don't have enough money to foot a tip, let alone the $55 combined meal. he only has a $20. his credit card is with merrick right now, his cousin-figure racketing up god knows how many charges in the two hours since robby & seth started hanging out.
well, fucking shit.
â ...d&d? â he mutters, low enough for only robby to hear across the table. he means dine & dash. a pause as he seriously considers that option very briefly, leaning more towards it as the seconds painfully tick by. their server will be back soon, wondering why they haven't paid the bill yet. blue eyes lift towards the black security camera mounted in the corner of the , mostly hidden. shit, again. that option just flew out the goddamn window.
the dread worsens.
chase would be having a fucking conniption fit right about now seeing this situation unfold in front of his eyes. maybe tomorrow, seth'll go to uncle bobby & ask him to be resolved of all his sins in the name of our lord, jesus christ & mary's little lamb, amen.
fuck. he's so stressed out right now.
the older lawrence cousin settles back in his seat, forcing his face smooth out to a relaxed expression, his body language only a touch tense. his mind is spinning, jumping through hoops to figure out what the fuck to do. â ethan's going to kill me if i get you in trouble. â he mutters, not doubting that for a second. he knows you're insanely overprotective. seth then suddenly shifts in his seat as a thought hits him over the head. ethan fucking wilson-keene. maybe he or robby could send out a text to him, get him here.
â wait. hold on. isn't your fiancĂŠ mega fucking rich? how the fuck do you- â he cuts himself off as their server, nametag displaying , passes by the table. seth that him a million watt-smile that obviously flusters him as he carries a tray of food to other patrons who can fucking pay for their meals with no issue, then continues: â -not have enough goddamn money for shit like this in your wallet? â he hisses, eyeing the gigantic freaking ring on robby's finger like it's proof of the claim, & honestly, it kind of is. ethan's so disgustingly rich it made seth's brain practically melt the first time he saw you make a combined ( with ali, the blond decked out in a designer clothes that seth can't properly pronounce ) shopping spree rack up to $2,000+ in one hour, the blonde not at all bothered by the amount spent, you even less so, which is to say... something larger than not at all. seth it saw in-person. you're so goddamn nonchalant at the price of literally anything, it makes him wonder if you're even human sometimes. he thought it was kind of hot.
trying to not look as defeated as he currently feels, seth sighs heavily, already grabbing his phone from the table & unlocking it. â fuck it. i'm gonna text him. â even if he'll have to face your undoubted wrath of potentially putting robby in danger of getting thrown into big boy juvie since he's eighteen now, or an infraction on his record, or whatever. between those two options, with family loyalty sort of pushed aside for a moment, something he'll repent for later, seth would honestly sort of rather put robby in jail, because ETHAN IS ABSOLUTELY FUCKING TERRIFYING WHEN HE WANTS TO BE.

Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da: The Beatles x Reader
Chapter 5
"Can I help you, John?" Y/N asked. John held his guitar in his hand.
"I was just gonna ask me, lady, on a date." He smirked, his eyes darting to where George had left.
"I was just on a date with--"
"Georgie boy, yes. I am aware, but you also went on a date with Paul, so er...why not make your way around the band, eh?" He laughed, extending his other arm. How did he know that she went on a date with Paul?
"Sure..." She said, suspiciously. She didn't take his arm. He let himself into her apartment and began to look around. He paused on her bare wall where pictures would hang.
"I thought for sure a bird like you would have friends." He said with a sly grin. She did have friends, just not here. They were in the future, probably wondering where she was. Did old Paul tell anyone what happened?
"I do. I just don't want boys like you trying to find them." She retorted. He gave a little chuckle as she tried to wipe some of the dirt off her clothes. George and she had been gardening in fancy clothing and now she was standing in front of John Lennon in a muddy dress.
"Seems you and George had fun." He smirked, putting his coat on the coat rack.
"It was absolutely pleasant." She replied, "Better than anything you've ever done." he shrugged.Â
"I haven't exactly spent a lot of time with you though." He retorted.Â
"Then that explains it." She laughed. He paused thinking for a moment.Â
"Well, we better get going," he said, turning back towards the door.Â
"What?" She asked, confusion flooding over her. He looked at her with the depth of an entire ocean.Â
"We have a reservation, honey." He smiled, extending his hand. She was in no state to go out and this man expected her to go with him? She had just gone on a date with one of his bandmates and he had the balls to ask her on a date...that was already reserved!
"Of course you do." She hissed, crossing her arms.
"You don't have to change! I think you look splendid the way you are!" John remarked, now walking over to her to take her arm. She reluctantly walked with him down the street.
"Are you seriously bringing your guitar?" She asked.
"Why wouldn't I?" He laughed.
"Y/N? John?" A too-familiar voice asked. George had his bike with him. He looked betrayed.
"You're bandmate here just decided to take me out all of a sudden!" Y/N said, frustrated. George looked hurt as he turned to John.
"John?" He questioned. John fumbled around his words as he tried to think of something to say. She was supposed to keep the band together. Of course, she somehow was splitting them up already.
"Haha! Just kidding! We were just going to the record store to buy some records! John was telling me the other day about this new band and we decided to go and get a copy of their new record!" She explained, taking a nervous glance at John who quickly nodded. George lit up.
"Oh, that's cool! For a second, I thought you were serious. Well, have fun!" George smiled as he mounted his bike and road off. John was sweating bullets as he continued to direct Y/N to where the reservation was held.
"You're lucky I didn't rat you out!" Y/N hissed. John rolled his eyes.
"I'm not the one who saved our butts back there." He snorted as they came up to an extremely fancy restaurant. People looked at Y/N with disgust. Why would John bring her here just to humiliate her? The place was covered in gold and red velvet with glowing chandeliers.
"I have a reservation..." John was talking to the host and a server soon came to take them to their table. The booths had velvet cushions and she felt bad for sitting on them with her dress. They sat down and more people stared at them. John put his guitar under the table and Y/N tried her best not to step on it. How could he put such a fine instrument under a table? John fiddled with his tie, uncomfortably.
"Water?" A server asked as they came up to them. Y/N nodded and John ordered some wine. The server nodded and left.
"So, why did you want to bring me here?" Y/N asked, looking at the other couples in the nearby booths.
"Why wouldn't I? You are a good friend of the band now and I can't help but have this feeling...you're important." John muttered as the server came back with water and wine.
"Important?" She asked. Did he know her secret?
"You're obviously not from around here." John continued. Taking a sip of his wine. "I'm guessing American?" She nodded.
"New York." She confirmed. He smiled.
"Whatâs your job?" He asked.
"I work at a coffee shop and I want to be a writer." She confessed, tapping her fingers on the table.
"You want to write? Why don't you write a song for the band?" He smirked, getting out a small journal. He pushed it across the table to her.
"I don't know how to write songs..." She trailed off, taking a glance at the book. She recognized some of the songs in the book.
"I'm sure you would be better at writing them than us." He laughed, twirling the wine in his cup. She shrugged.
"In my dreams." She laughed. She couldn't be better at writing songs than the Beatles. Especially not Lennon-McCartney.
"Then make those dreams come true, honey." He smiled. She could write something. Maybe a lyric or something?
"Got a pen?" She asked, flipping to a blank page. He tossed a pen over to her. Y/N began to scribble on the paper. She decided to write something simple. Just enough for it to benefit John, but not to much for it to be suspicious. After she was done, he looked at what she wrote.
"Help?" He read the paper, "Come Together? Revolution?" He looked at her confused.
"Just some ideas." She smirked as the waiter came back to take their order. After they both ordered something, John began to scribble in the notebook.
"When I was younger I didn't rely on others to help me make my songs." He laughed, "Hey now, that could work." The idea had been planted. The songs were spreading among the band members. It was all so confusing. How could they not have wondered how she planted some sort of idea in their heads. I guess it all was by chance.
"You're still an amazing writer." She said. He grinned as he pulled his guitar out from under the table.
"I know. So, let's give everyone a show!" He stood up and put the guitar strap over him.
"John! Are you crazy!" She hissed standing up to stop him. He began to strum his guitar.
"Help! I need somebody. Help! Not just anybody. Help! You know I need someone. Help!" He sang and danced around the restaurant. Y/N chased him, trying to get him to stop.
"John please! We could get in trouble!" She yelled as he stopped strumming to twirl her around.
"When I was younger, so much younger than today. I never needed anybody's help in any way" People began to dance with them and some were in shock. "Sing with me!" He cheered. She loved this song but...
"But now these days are gone and I'm not so self assured. Now I find I've changed my mind, I've opened up the doors" She sang. He looked shocked. "Took a look at your book!" She quickly saved herself from being found out. He shrugged as they sang together.
"Help me if you can, I'm feeling down. And I do appreciate you being 'round. Help me get my feet back on the ground. Won't you please, please help me?" They danced together. Everything was so wonderful. She hadnât had this much fun in a while. Of course all good things must come to an end.
"What is this ruckus!?" The manager shouted. The two stopped in their tracks. The man had his arms crossed with a very strict look. John gave a nervous smile. Luckily, the two of them made it back to their table. Quickly grabbing their things they ran past the manager. He shouted behind them, but he was too late. They had run down the street. They technically hadn't eaten anything so was it really a dine and dash?
"John what was the cost of that wine?" Y/N asked. John half smirked.
"You don't want to know." He replied. Great. Not to long after they made it back to Y/N's apartment. The two took a moment to catch their breath.
"Thanks for the wondrous evening, John." She said, softly.
"Anytime me lady!" He bowed jokingly. They laughed.
"Should I be expecting Ringo here soon?" She joked. He shrugged.
"Your guess is as good as mine."Â He waved as she closed to the door. She thought it was a good day. Going gardening with George and then committing a crime with John was surprisingly fun.
