I think sometimes people forget Olympic athletes are people. Raygun has feelings. Anthony Ammirati is a real human being with feelings. I can't think of anyone else but please don't forget that these people might see what you're saying and if you don't think what they're doing is hurting someone then please be mindful of that.

Right? Athletes of colour have to be perfect to gain respect, they can't fall short of perfect lest they invite harassment. And even when athletes of colour display excellence, they are deliberately misgendered (specifically Black and Brown women), accused of doping, subjected to drug tests and even get their awards stripped from them for bullshit reasons. But no, this White woman was allowed to "have fun" at the fucking Olympics.

If the stuff coming out about Olympic breakdancing competitor Rachel Gunn (aka Raygun) is true [she hasn’t been tried in a court of law YET at time of posting] Australia should have a reality TV show set up to try to find Australia’s actual best breakdancer.

Think about it! I’m picturing two famous Australian actors as the main hosts of the show (bonus if they have dance knowledge) and the judges should be popular older breakdancers who are only not competing themselves due to being retired from the scene (I’m thinking there needs to at least be three of them)

The judging rubric should be much more apparent (in the Olympics they didn’t really make it clear what 3 aspects/categories were being judged) I’m sure the people who actually know breakdancing can make a good judging rubric.

Also if Rachel Gunn is found guilty of this, take away her doctorate!
