I do a lot of things in the house and move stuff around a lot, so small accidents happen, such as objects falling and shattering, food burning and so on.

I was very surprised to notice that as a grown-ass adult, whenever something like that happens, I don't feel much frustration or sadness in response. Instead, I feel relief. I am relieved that nobody is going to yell at me and be furious at me because I wasn't careful enough and I made a mess: I broke a glass, it was my own glass and now I just have to clean up the mess and find a replacement, no big deal, nothing me or my partner will be too stressed about.

I think this is because as a child, whenever I broke something, the fear of how my family would react was far greater than the trouble caused by the accident itself, whatever it was.

Things breaks sometimes. You can't be perfectly careful all the time: you may be tired, you may be distracted and small accidents will happen.

Why would some people expect that kind of perfection from children? Their brains are still developing, their motor skills may not be the best yet... Terrifying them won't teach them to be perfect, it will just make them panic when accidents happen and accidents will still happen.

I dreamt that someone was using a raccoon and a keyboard in a plastic bag as a synth at a noise show. I don't think animal rights advocates would particularly like that one, but there is no doubt that it was creative and effective.

Engineer attempts to speak it and when Soldier has to correct him too many times Engineer realizes that 'Raccoon' is more complicated than Latin and gives up (but he still tries sometimes just to make Soldier happy <3)

Didi liked to fight too much for one so small, Sleipnir always said so. And every time he pointed it out, it just made her want to reach across the table and perform some very illegal wrestling move, just to shut him up.

Playful banter eventually became dangerous when just the right buttons were pushed and she did in fact, leap over an armchair just to tackle him down— it's unclear if Sleipnir's ever been attached by a raccoon dressed all in magenta, but that's the best way this entire ordeal could be described.

She had him in a headlock, biting him to assert dominance(?), and refusing to let up until he, in her muffled words, "Uh-pah-lah-gize!"

have an inspection for my apartment tomorrow morning, my last day at my small ass uni apartment is today and i'll be doing my last bit of cleaning!!

i literally have nothing else in here other than my new laptop that i only do editing with so i spent last night and my morning just now writing lol

i've partially finished my dbd chapter (4k+ words atm) but it introduces another killer that the reader will be paired up with and the next segment is the michael myers' trial!! so my question is--- would you rather to have me post it now or after i've also written michael's trial? (might take a week or two to write and post michael's trial, if i post it now you'll have another chapter within the next month)
